The hurricane has arrived in the power rankings. Carson “Hurricane” Hocevar earned his first career victory Sunday at Talladega, and that has him in the power rankings this week. Here are my rankings heading into the May 3 race at Texas Motor Speedway. On the verge: Christopher Bell, William Byron, Austin Cindric, Ryan Preece, Daniel Suarez, Bubba Wallace 10. Brad Keselowski (Last Week: 10)RFK Racing No. 6 Ford Keselowski got caught up in the big one at Talladega but his team was able to repair his car so he could continue. He ended up 31st, so his second-place finish in the opening stage added nine points to his total. 9. Chris Buescher (Last Week: Not Ranked)RFK Racing No. 17 Ford Oh, so close. Buescher finished just behind Hocevar, who beat him to the line by 0.114 seconds. Buescher didn’t have much help up front there at the end. But it was a strong run to get him back in these rankings. 8. Carson Hocevar (Last Week: Not Ranked)Spire Motorsports No. 77 Chevrolet Hocevar earned his first career victory and jumped to eighth in the Cup standings. He probably feels like he’s on top of the world, and he should. 7. Chase Briscoe (Last Week: 6)Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18 Toyota Briscoe made a mistake on pit road and then got caught up in the big wreck. He finished 29th at Talladega. On to Texas. 6. Ryan Blaney (Last Week: 5)Team Penske No. 12 Ford Blaney finished fifth in the opening stage before getting caught up in the big wreck. Yes, that was a theme for many on this list. 5. Ty Gibbs (Last Week: 4)Joe Gibbs Racing No. 54 Toyota Gibbs got caught up in the big wreck but was able to continue … until likely damage from that wreck resulted in a tire failure and Gibbs’ day over into the wall. He led 17 laps but finished with just three points. 4. Kyle Larson (Last Week: 3)Hendrick Motorsports No. 5 Chevrolet Yes, Larson, too, was caught up in the big wreck. He finished 40th (last) in the race. But he was in good company in that big crash. 3. Chase Elliott (Last Week: 7)Hendrick Motorsports No. 9 Chevrolet Elliott wasn’t in the big one and finished fourth in the race. He only scored two stage points, but he was there at the end and in position in case the leaders tangled. 2. Denny Hamlin (Last Week: 2)Joe Gibbs Racing No. 11 Toyota A speeding penalty on his first pit stop hurt Hamlin, who didn’t get back on to the lead lap until late in the race. He led 28 laps but finished 15th. 1. Tyler Reddick (Last Week: 1)23XI Racing No. 45 Toyota Reddick finished 14th, but he also signed a contract extension with 23XI Racing. Before she ever stepped on the Mane Stage, Lainey Wilson was already working the Stagecoach crowd, but not in the way that anyone would expect.
Over the weekend the hitmaker headlined the country music festival for the very first time and it’s safe to say she made a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. Before it was time to her deliver her nighttime set, she decided to have a little fun with the attendees. The country star ditched her signature country look and slipped into full disguise, introducing fans to her Britney Spears inspired character, Britney West.
She traded her bell bottoms for a metallic gold ensemble featuring gaudy gold jewelry, but she didn’t stray too far from her roots as she donned matching cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. In an attempt to really hide her true persona, Wilson added a short black wig and fully committed to the bit by replacing her well-known Louisiana accent with a high-pitched, valley girl accent. According to her, Britney West hails from Temecula, CA and she made sure to play the part every step of the way.
Not everyone was sold on Britney West, though. Wilson’s fiancé Duck made it clear he was not a fan of the character as he told her, “that voice is annoying.”
She ignored the hilarious comment and hit the festival grounds with a mic in hand while effortlessly blending into the crowd as she interviewed unsuspecting fans. She confidently told the camera, “They have absolutely no clue.”
Keeping it simple, the “Somewhere Over Laredo” singer asked questions like whether it was their first Stagecoach and who they were most excited to see. Ironically, several answered “Lainey Wilson,” not realizing they were standing face-to-face with the very artist they were waiting to see on stage that night. Some even went as far as to sing their favorite songs right back to her.
In between interviews, she joked, “I’m just not sure about that Lainey Wilson girl.”
“She’s really just a huge horses a**,” Wilson added as the camera panned to the giant horse sculpture behind her.
The end of the video featured a compilation of the moments that she dropped the act and returned to her regular voice to reveal her true self to her interviewees. This evoked priceless shocked reactions as well as plenty of excited hugs from fans who suddenly realized they had just been talking to one of the biggest names in country music.
Wilson later shared the moment with fans online, captioning the clip, “Britney West comin’ atcha from the streets of Stagecoach 🤫.”
There’s no denying that Saturday night at Stagecoach was one to remember. Unfortunately, Lainey Wilson’s set was delayed until 10:30PM due to the festival announcing an emergency evacuation as a result of the high winds that had taken over the grounds of the Empire Polo club. Approximately 75,000-80,000 attendees were forced to leave after receiving a message from the official Stagecoach app at 7:46 p.m. that read, “Due to severe weather, please exit the event site and move to your vehicles or protected areas outside of the event site for safety. Stay tuned for updates.”
Luckily, about an hour later, the gates opened back up allowing fans to reenter just in time for Wilson to hit the stage. Unfortunately, the time lost meant that performances by Journey and Riley Green were canceled for the weekend.
Wilson made sure that fans still got a dose of her fellow country star. In the midst of her set, she brought out both Green and Little Big Town and allowed the Alabama native to stick around for a solo moment to perform his hit, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.”
She penned an incredibly kind message to fans after the events that took place, sharing her gratitude for everyone who returned to watch her show despite the setbacks.
“After what happened last night, there is no doubt I have the best fans in the world. Folks who showed up twice. You could have gone home but you came back. Stagecoach.. when the storm tried to shake you… you shook the storm. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Lainey Wilson still has plenty more festival dates on the books for the year, including a set at CMA Fest in Nashville this June.

He’s posting through it.
The world is still reacting to the shocking news that Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles are engaged.
Channing Tatum is part of the world. He also happens to be Kravitz’s former fiance.
Judging by his social media posts, he’s not taking the news well.
Is he okay?
On Monday, Channing Tatum took to his Instagram Story to share a poem, one attributed to John Roedel.
“My brain and / heart divorced / a decade ago / over who was / to blame about / how big of a mess / I have become,” the poem begins.
The words continue: “Eventually, / they couldn’t be / in the same room / with each other.”
Tagging Roedel to fully credit the writer, Tatum also added a caption.
“Read …” he wrote.
Channing’s post came only days after news broke about Kravitz and Styles being engaged.
Those two thirty-something hotties have only been dating for eight months.
By all accounts, the two are absolutely head over heels for each other.
It also doesn’t sound like their engagement came as a surprise to those closest to them.
But Style is not Kravitz’s first fiance.

Moving on is hard, especially when your ex makes it look easy
In June of 2019, Kravitz married fellow actor Karl Glusman.
The marriage did not last long. They parted ways in December of 2020.
In 2021, Kravitz and Tatum got together.
In 2023, they became engaged.
That engagement was not forever. They abruptly called off the engagement and split in 2024.
Reportedly, Channing and Kravitz parted amicably after simply growing apart.
They’ve both gone on to date following their split. But dating isn’t the same as an engagement.
Some fans characterize Channing as “crashing out” over Kravitz’s happy news. That might be taking it a little far.
But his emotionally tinged posts do seem to be related, even if they are not. He’s been a public figure for many years, and has to know how people will interpret his posts.
We hope that he’s doing okay. Watching your ex move on can be challenging, but it’s usually part of life. Even for hot celebs.

The Valley star Brittany Cartwright has never concealed her fondness for plastic surgery.
In fact, she documented her breast implant surgery on multiple episodes of Vanderpump Rules.
But these days, Brittany’s Instagram followers believe her fixation on fine-tuning her appearance has gone too far.
The mother of one posted the pic below earlier this week, and she was promptly flooded with comments about her “new face.”
Multiple users encouraged Britteny to “STOP messing with [her] face [and] body” and “lay off the plastic surgery.”
“You are unrecognizable,” one commenter wrote. That’s obviously not true, but for some reason, that’s always the go-to insult for plastic surgery shamers.
Another hater accused Brittany of looking “sooooo fake.”
Needless to say, these people really didn’t hold back.
Thankfully, amid all the trash talk, some fans were quick to praise Brittany’s glow-up.
“Happiness looks good on you,” one supporter commented.
“The way some of y’all are so comfortable criticizing someone else’s appearance is wild. If she’s happy, that’s what matters. You look great Brittany,” another added.
“Looking better and better and better,” a third chimed in:
Of course, that comment came from a page called Plastixdocs that seems to be some sort of pro-plastic surgery page. So Brittany might prefer to go without that support.
Following a very messy split from Jax Taylor, Brittany appears to be in a new relationship these days.
Brittany and Jax have reached a custody deal for their young son, and with Taylor planning to “take a break” from reality TV, it seems that she also won The Valley in the divorce.
In other words, she’s doing pretty well for herself these days. Hopefully, she’s not letting a random assortment of Insta-trolls bring her down.

Dallas Cowboys defensive back and first-round pick Caleb Downs was so dominant in college that he got bored. Like, literally. “Yeah, I’ll honestly say, yes, [I got bored with] the ball not coming my way,” Downs said when asked if he got “bored” by teams not targeting him in college in an interview with 105.3 The Fan. “Maybe the talent [isn’t] as good that week. You don’t always play high-level talent every week in college, so that’s something you have to get used to. Sometimes, those games, they can get boring just because of the fact you play a team that doesn’t have as good of an offensive line, your D-Line will pretty much make all the tackles. “There wouldn’t really be much to do those games, so, [I] just get bored of not being in the action.” The two-time All-American safety spent the last two seasons of his collegiate career with the Ohio State Buckeyes (2024-25), preceded by one season with the Alabama Crimson Tide (2023). A five-star recruit, Downs transferred to Ohio State after his freshman season in the wake of Nick Saban’s retirement from coaching. Downs totaled two interceptions in each of his three collegiate seasons. In Downs’ 2023 freshman campaign, he led the SEC with 70 solo tackles, won the National Championship at Ohio State in 2024 and was later the 2025 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. “I would say I’m a defensive player. Being able to play near the line of scrimmage, being able to play in the second level, third level, being able to do a lot of different things. You say a weapon, I would just say a full-rounded player,” Downs said. “If you’re a full-rounded player that can make plays on all facets of your defense and make your defense better, that’s who you want on your team. Not necessarily, ‘Oh, I want somebody to be able to set the edge.’ That’s great, but if he doesn’t necessarily make the play, then it doesn’t matter. “At the end of the day, you want playmakers, and that’s what I am.” Dallas traded up one spot to select Downs with the No. 11 pick, sending the No. 12, 177 and 180 picks to the Miami Dolphins to execute the trade-up. Later, the Cowboys traded back three spots with the Philadelphia Eagles, sending the No. 20 pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick to Philadelphia for picks No. 23, 114 and 137. At pick No. 23, Dallas selected UCF Knights defensive end Malachi Lawrence. Downs and Lawrence join a Cowboys’ defense that was last in the NFL in opponent points (30.1 per game) and opponent passing yards (251.5 per game), 30th in total yards (377.0 per game) and 23rd in opponent rushing yards (125.5 per game) last season. Dallas fired defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus after one season, replacing him with former Eagles passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach Christian Parker.
