Scotty McCreery shared an especially sweet father-son moment with his three-year-old son, Avery, during his recent performance at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
On Saturday August 8, the country star was opening for Cody Johnson and treated fans to a set list full of fan-favorites and hit singles including “Cab In A Solo.” To make the performance even more memorable, he welcomed his son to the stage to help him deliver the 2023 release to the packed crowd.

At the start of the tender tune, McCreery made his way to the side of the stage and met up with Avery who grabbed his hand and made his way front and center. The young boy appeared confident as he stepped in front of fans wearing his boots, overalls and of course, headphones to protect his hearing.
The American Idol alum knelt down to his son’s level and prompted him to give a wave to the audience as he continued to sing “Cab In A Solo.” Once he neared the end of the song, he gave Avery the chance to prove that he has the talent to one day follow in his dad’s footsteps.
McCreery sang the final chorus, “I can’t believe what I just saw/ Couple shadows kissin’ on her bedroom wall/ It’s lookin’ like my plan didn’t work out at all/ That break turned into broke up/ So now I’m findin’ out how a heartbreak taste/ With a Silver Oak 1998/ Drinkin’ cab in a solo/ Solo in the cab of my truck/ Yeah, I’m drinkin’ cab in a solo…”

He then asked Avery, “Want to sing it buddy?” and then handed over the mic so the young boy could finish out the last line of the song.
Without missing a beat, Avery confidently sang, “solo in the cab of my truck.” His adorable young vocals earned a roar of cheers, clearing winning over the audience.
McCreery shouted “It’s bedtime, y’all,” before grabbing his boy’s hand and leading him off to the side of the stage.

The adorable moment offered a glimpse into how McCreery is able to balance his life as a dad into his life on the road. While Avery may have only sung a single line, he looked right at home on stage, and certainly left his mark on the Oklahoma City crowd.
The little performer is Scotty McCreery’s first child. Him and his wife, Gabi, also share son Oliver, who will celebrate his first birthday next month on September 18.

Chase Matthew recently made a major purchase that he’s already calling his “forever property.”
During a new interview with Country Countdown USA, the chart-topping country star opened up about what’s new in his life, revealing that he recently purchased his own piece of land, and he’s already putting in the work to make it his own.
“I just recently purchased my forever property. I named it Chasen’ Acres. We’re having a lotta good times out there,” Matthew shared. “I feel I’ve worked hard to earn that place. So I’m in the process of learning how to grow hay and cut hay. We have a couple ponds. It’s not a lake, but it’s a good time.”

Matthew frequently gives fans a glimpse into life off the road, sharing photos and videos of himself working around the property and tackling the everyday chores that come with owning land.
Those days at home are especially valuable for the Tennessee native, who has spent much of the year on the road living out his country music dreams. Earlier this summer, Matthew checked a major item off his bucket list when he performed his first-ever stadium show alongside his friends and heroes, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean.
And while his touring schedule keeps him busy, Matthew is also watching his music continue to climb the country radio charts. His solo single, “Holdin’ It Down,” is making an impact, while his collaboration with Lauren Alaina, “All My Exes,” is also gaining major momentum.

Matthew admitted that seeing the two songs climbing the charts at the same time is a surreal experience.
“It’s pretty crazy to see my name on that chart with so many people who are the biggest in the industry. So to see it twice, and be shared with Lauren Alaina, she’s such a great person, such a great friend,” he said, before adding, “When we sang it, we knew it was meant to be. It’s cool to see where it’s at now.”
As he continues working on his next project, Matthew is also giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come with new music. He recently released “Autopilot,” which he has described as his most personal song to date. The vulnerable track offers an unfiltered look at a difficult period in his life, capturing the feeling of simply going through the motions and moving through life on autopilot.

“‘Autopilot’ is the most important song I’ve ever released,” Matthew previously shared. “I wrote it about one of the lowest points of my life, when I was just going through the motions and honestly didn’t care what tomorrow looked like.”

Laci Kaye Booth is opening up about the uncomfortable reality of having an increased online presence while promoting her upcoming album, admitting that she has been fighting the urge to retreat from the spotlight completely.
Fans may have noted that Booth has been more intentional about being active on social media in recent months. She has been sharing more snippets of her life along with previewing her third studio album, Love Ain’t For The Faint Of Heart, which is scheduled to arrive on September 18.

The songstress took to her Instagram story over the weekend to explain that while she knows having a strong presence on her platforms is important in generating interest surrounding her next project, she has found herself struggling to fight her natural instinct to “disappear on socials and within the industry.”
“I’ve been posting so much in the last few months and it makes me nauseous & insanely uncomfortable. Every time I post, my brain tells me I’m desperate for attention and approval and that I’m coming off vain and shallow,” she wrote in the honest statement.
Booth says she has learned to stop fighting those feelings and instead has accepted that stepping outside her comfort zone is simply part of giving her album the best chance at success.
“I promised myself I’d show up for this one. I’d give this album campaign and this tour a better chance than I gave The Loneliest Girl in the World. I’ve done the whole ‘make the music, stay out of the public eye and hope people find it’ thing. Turns out that is not a particularly strong marketing strategy and it doesn’t make a whole lotta people happy,” she admitted.

Throughout her career, Booth has discovered what it feels like to be the artist who is costing a label more money than she is making them in return and what comes od that as a result.
“I know how that story ends, and though sometimes for the best, I’d rather know I did everything I could for this art this time ’round.”
With that in mind, Booth lets fans know they will probably see a lot more of her in the coming months as she continues to push herself to be more present throughout the album cycle and upcoming tour.
“I’m trying this freaky little thing called ‘participating in my own career.’ When it’s over, I will happily return to my regularly scheduled programming of tending to my tiny, quiet, private life. Until then.. please bear with a shy, timid bitch❤️,” she added in conclusion.
Laci Kaye Booth recently announced that she is set to embark on her first-ever headlining tour in support of her next album. The seven-date Love Ain’t For The Faint Of Heart Tour will include stops at dive bars and honky-tonks that inspired the album’s tracks, kicking off September 27 in Chicago and wrapping in Los Angeles on October 15.
Plus she has also been tapped to support Ella Langley on select tour dates beginning July 23. The trek includes a two-night stand at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (October 13 & 14).
A full list of upcoming tour dates can be found on Booth’s official website.
