Nick Viall and Natalie Joy have revealed another heartbreak.
Early this year, Joy had opened up about her miscarriage.
Then, just months later, came a second devastating loss.
That was in March. Now, five months later, their hearts are breaking again.
Nick Viall and Natalie Joy are grieving again
On the Thursday, August 14 episode of The Viall Files, host Nick Viall explained why wife Natalie Joy was taking the day off from the podcast.
She has, he explained, experienced another miscarriage. It is her third in 2025.
“There’s no really good way to say it, it f–king sucks,” Viall expressed.
“She’s obviously at home resting and healing, both physically and emotionally.”
Obviously, miscarriages can happen to anyone who can become pregnant. Doctors had told Viall and Joy as much.
However, the The Bachelor alum confessed that it was “a bit of a scary time” because there had been two earlier miscarriages.
“It’s far less normal to have two or three back-to-back,” Viall acknowledged.
‘We’re in that very scary process of running tests’
“Now we’re in that very scary process of running tests and finding out more about ourselves,” Nick Viall shared about him and Natalie Joy on their shared fertility journey.
“It’s this weird thing of like, you want them to find something,” he acknowledged.
“But,” Viall continued, “you don’t want them to find something.”
Though he is certainly feeling this, Viall is the first to acknowledge that this isn’t about him right now.
“There’s an immediate bond and a connection that I think is very unique for mothers,” he emphasized.
Someone who is actively pregnant is naturally going to almost always feel a more personal link to the pregnancy.
“For the dads out there,” Viall characterized, “you’re trying to strike this balance between grieving yourself. But also just keeping life together and keeping the family going.”
This kind of loss can feel very isolating
“For people who do experience it, there’s a tragedy there that makes you feel very alone,” Nick Viall explained.
He acknowledged: “That’s something Natalie’s going through right now.”
He did specify that his wife is “doing okay” and that they are focusing on their 18-month-old daughter, River Rose.

Earlier this week, Netflix made some major announcements about Meghan Markle’s lifestyle show.
We already knew that With Love, Meghan had been renewed for a second season, but we now know that Meghan has also filmed a Christmas special, which is set to drop in December.
Naturally, fans of the Duchess of Sussex were overjoyed by the news that they’ll be invited into her home for the holidays.
(Well, sort of … Despite the domestic feel of the show, the series is not actually filmed in Harry and Meghan’s kitchen.)
Meghan receives torrent of criticism from Kate supporters
But because Meghan can’t do anything without haters raining on her parade, news of the Christmas special was followed by a deluge of criticism from royalists.
Their primary complaint seems to be that Meghan is “copying” Kate by … celebrating Christmas?
It’s true that Kate seems to rather enjoy Christmas, and the royals’ annual Together at Christmas concert has become one of her signature events.
But it’s not like Kate has a copyright on televised Christmas celebrations.
As the Daily Mail points out, social media has been flooded by vitriol from royalists who are concerned about the possibility that Meghan might upstage Kate.
“Anything to compete with Catherine. A December holiday special, really?” one person asked, according to the outlet.
“Meghan’s ‘Christmas Special’ may clash with the Princess of Wales Together at Christmas concert?! Oh I am in no doubts that Meghan would push for that date specifically!” another exclaimed.
“A Christmas special?! Good grief, is there NOTHING Meghan won’t attempt to do better than Catherine, Princess of Wales – and fail MISERABLY at? Just when I thought we would take up a Netflix subscription again,” a third chimed in.
Yes, apparently, Meghan haters are so upset over the Sussexes’ Netflix deal that they’ve actually been canceling their subscriptions.
Most of them probably couldn’t tell you why Meghan infuriates them so (or at least they couldn’t tell you without sounding like horrible people), so they make up some nonsense about the royals being upstaged — by a mom in California.
“So Just like Princess Catherine’s Holiday special then! The difference is Megan has no Royals or family attending hers!’ one X user wrote, according to the Mail.
“What is sad certain accounts on here will promote it if it lands on the same day as Catherine’s Christmas special and give her free publicity instead of ignoring Meghan,” another wrote.
We’d suggest that these people google “parasocial relationships” and spend less time fretting over the egos of literal kings, princes, and princesses who probably have pretty nice lives.
Then again, hating Meghan is clearly their favorite hobby, and we don’t want to interfere with something that seems to bring them so much joy.

As we’ve previously reported, the past year has been hard on Taylor’s friendship with Blake Lively.
The most famous woman on the planet was understandably not thrilled with being dragged into Blake’s messy legal war against Justin Baldoni.
There have been rumors of Tay stepping back from Blake amid her ongoing feud with her former co-star, but neither party has spoken publicly about the situation.
Now, Swifties are convinced that their queen is about to address the situation in song form.
Two TLOASG tracks in particular — “Cancelled!” and “Ruin the Friendship” — are being cited as possible Blake diss tracks.
“Who else thinks Ruin The Friendship and CANCELLED! are about Blake Lively Taylor Swift…please,” one user tweeted, according to People.
“I am CER-TAIN that Ruin The Friendship on Taylor Swift’s new album is about Blake Lively.” added Brazilian TV personality Didi Effe.
Of course, unless one of those tracks turns out to be a lead single, we’ll have to wait until October to find out if Taylor is really throwing any shade at Blake.
In the meantime, another song has prompted more wholesome speculation.
One of the tracks is titled “Elizabeth Taylor,” and naturally, fans have concluded that the lyrics will focus on the star of Cleopatra and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
One such fan is none other than Liz’s youngest son, Christopher Wilding.
Speaking with TMZ, Wilding described Taylor as a “rare, positive role model for young girls.”
He added that he’s always “admired her philanthropy and courage to stand up for what she believes,” and he believes that his mom would’ve been a fan of Taylor’s.
Well, at least that’s one A-list actress whom Taylor could still be friends with!

We’re sure you’ve heard the term “big d-ck energy.”
Though not as widely used now as it was a few years ago, the phrase entered the lexicon soon after the world learned that Ariana Grande was dating Pete Davidson.
Now, you might think that Pete would enjoy being on the receiving end of such a girthy compliment.
But as the comic explained during a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, he was actually “hurt” and “embarrassed” by the discourse surrounding his sex life.’

“I think it was like, the New York Times or something when I started dating someone that I guess they considered out of my league, which I think everyone is out of my league,” Davidson remarked, according to Page Six.
“But you know, they were like, ‘This guy must have big d–k energy.’ And then someone confirmed it,” Davidson added.
“It just got to a point where I was … I got really tired of my whole career just being like my personal life. And living through that is sort of traumatic. Like, not to be lame, but it’s traumatic to live in your own crap all the time.”
Pete added that he was initially baffled by all of the attention.
“It’s Hollywood. Everybody f–ks everyone. Why are they focusing on me?” he said of the scrutiny of his relationship with Ariana.
He added that some Ariana fans seemed upset by the fact he was “not Glen Powell handsome.”
“I’m just like this dude that tells d–k jokes and is a drug addict,” Pete joked, adding:
“I don’t want to victimize myself in any way because I’m cool, but the sexualization of me — if that was a girl, people would be like, there would be a march for it … Seriously. You’re just talking about my d–k all day.”
Pete recalls tumultuous years on ‘SNL’
Pete went on to explain that the focus on his love life came out an inopportune time, as he was still a relatively new cast member on Saturday Night Live at the time.
“I brought a lot of pop culture into the show, like I made it [a] sort of tabloidly, trendy thing unintentionally,” he said.
“Also, I was embarrassed by it because … no one talked about any work I was doing. They were just like, ‘Oh, that’s the f–k stick.’ And that hurt so much.”
Pete noted that his castmates remained supportive, explaining, “No one was outrightly mean by any means,”
It’s important to note that Ariana didn’t come up with the phrase “big d–k energy,” but it was popularized when a fan replied to her tweet about Pete being “10 inches.”
Anyway, these days, Pete is expecting his first child with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt.
Maybe from now on, BDE should mean “big dad energy!”

We have an update on the death of Brandon Blackstock.
The 48-year old business manager, who is also the ex-husband of Kelly Clarkson and stepson of Reba McEntire, died last week at the age of 48.
Now, People Magazine has obtained the official death certificate for Blackstock.
According to this official document, Blackstock died at 11:13 a.m. at his home in Butte, Montana on August 7.
The document also listed his cause of death as malignant melanoma, a form of skin cancer, and the manner of death as natural causes, confirming what Silver Bow County Coroner Dan Hollis previously told entertainment news outlets.
Blackstock had cancer for three years — while seizures were listed as “significant conditions contributing to death but not resulting in the underlying cause.”
This is the first time we’ve heard about the seizures.
No autopsy was performed and Blackstock was cremated, based on a reading of this same death certificate.
Blackstock shared children River Rose, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 9, with the original American Idol winner at the time of his passing.
Clarkson has not yet commented about the tragedy.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away,” his rep said after this sad development.
“Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.”
Clarkson took a lengthy hiatus from her talk show this winter due to Blackstock’s illness and then postponed her Las Vegas residency a day before he died.
McEntire, for her part, was married to Brandon’s dad Narvel Blackstock from 1989 to 2015.
“There is no one else like him, and I’m thankful for the time we had together,” the artist wrote this week in a tribute. “His legacy and laughter will be carried on through his family.
“Rest in peace cowboy. Happy trails to you til we meet again.”
Insiders previously told People that Clarkson is in deep mourning over this loss, despite her estrangement from Blackstock in the wake of their divorce.
“Kelly and Brandon had their ups and downs, but at the end of the day, he was the father of her children and she is absolutely heartbroken for them,” this source said.
“Her kids are her entire world, and she’s staying strong for their sake.”
