We have sad news to report from the world of fashion today.
Legendary designer Valentino Garavani has passed away at the age of 93.
Garavani was the founder of the iconic Valentino brand.
News of his death comes courtesy of his brand’s Instagram page:
“Our founder, Valentino Garavani passed away today at his Roman residence, surrounded by his loved ones. The lying in state will be held at PM23 in Piazza Mignanelli 23 on Wednesday January 21st and Thursday January 22nd, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm,” reads the latest post on the page.
“The funeral will take place on Friday, January 23rd at the Basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri, in Piazza della Repubblica 8 in Rome, at 11 am.”
Born Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani in 1932, Valentino studied fashion at the École des Beaux-Arts and the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris before apprenticing with Balenciaga.
Friends with such Hollywood luminaries as Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Kidman, and Anne Hathaway, Valentino was the subject of an acclaimed 2008 documentary about his life and career.
“I know what women want,” he said in Valentino: The Last Emperor, adding, “They want to be beautiful.”
On X (formerly Twitter), numerous fashion aficionados have paid tribute to the late designer:
“Valentino really was the last of that sort of post mid century couture design set that rose to popularity in the 60’s. I love his work in the 60’s the best, he was really able to quickly distinguish himself from the rest of the Italian designers,” wrote one user.
“We’ve lost another fashion legend, rest in peace Valentino Garavani, his legacy in the fashion world will always be remembered,” another added.
“Valentino Garavani, truly ‘The Last Emperor,’ has died,” a third chimed in.
No cause of death has been made public.

Kourtney Kardashian deserves our recognition and respect this week.
While celebrating the launch of sister Khloe Kardashian’s latest Khloud popcorn flavor (yes, that’s a real thing) a few days ago, the Poosh founder revealed a quasi secret that we’re pretty sure most of the public had been unaware of:
She hasn’t had an alcoholic drink in three years.
In a video posted to her Instagram Stories on January 16 16, Kardashian was presented with the food brand’s latest truffle white cheddar popcorn.
To pair with the snack item, the mother of four was offered a gin mocktail.
“@Khloudfoods @KhloeKardashian def told them I haven’t drank alcohol in 3 years,” Kourtney wrote over the post. “Fancy Friday.”
We had no idea.
At the conclusion of the aforementioned video, Kourtney — who shares kids Mason Disick, 16, Penelope Disick, 13, and Reign Disick, 11, with ex Scott Disick … as well as son Rocky Barker, 2, with husband Travis Barker –raised her glass and simply said:
“Cheers!”
Kardashian also recently revealed she’s Botox-free, but that’s a very different kind of admission.
It seems relevant to note that Disick — whose battle with alcoholism has been publicly documented since his time on reality television — previously shared how he explains his past struggles with alcohol abuse to the pair’s oldest son Mason.
“The truth is, I do explain to Mason how drinking affected me and how badly it put me in certain places, and he knows that,” Disick said in a January 2025 episode of Khloé in Wonder Land.
“And he for a while thought I would treat him differently because of that. And I said, ‘I’m not treating you any different because of my mistakes or how I lived.’”
Added Disick back then of what he relayed to Mason:
“‘But if I see a problem with alcohol with you, I will take actions. You’re gonna try drinking when you’re gonna try drinking. But if I see a problem that’s hereditary then I’ll jump in. But until then, you’re treated like every other kid.’”

Minaj’s descent into MAGA came after a series of glaring red flags that became harder to ignore as the years went by.
Maybe this is who she’s always been. Maybe she’s angling for political favors. Two things can be true.
No matter her motives, she’s now hurling homophobic epithets at journalist Don Lemon. What happened?
ICE collaborators are getting protested
On Sunday, January 18, Don Lemon — formerly of CNN and now an independent reporter — covered one of countless anti-ICE protests.
He spoke to a reverend who helped lead the protest, who explained why they were protesting at a particular church in St. Paul, Minnesota.
According to numerous media outlets, the pastor of Cities Church has ties to ICE.
As you can see in the video, protesters are calling to end the Trump regime’s occupation of the Twin Cities and the illegal and Unconstitutional behavior of ICE agents. In particular, they’re calling for justice for Renee Good, who was shot to death by Jonathan Ross.
The reverend herself specifically expressed that she feels that supporting this evil organization is contrary to Christian values.
Early in the morning on Monday, January 19, Nicki Minaj tweeted something absolutely abhorrent on the topic.
“DON ‘C–K S–KIN’ LEMON IS DISGUSTING,” she began in all caps.
“HOW DARE YOU?” she demanded in hysterics.
Minaj proclaimed: “I WANT THAT THUG IN JAIL!!!!!”
Bizarrely, she claimed: “HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO ANY OTHER RELIGION.”
Minaj concluded by writing: “LOCK HIM UP!!!!!”
Everything that she’s saying is so weird
It is unclear which crime she seems to believe that Lemon has committed.
Of course, that likely doesn’t matter to her.
Her claim that Lemon would not “do that” (cover a protest between two sections of) “any other religion” is arguably half-true.
There are many religions interweaving in the social and cultural fabric of America. But the Christian nationalist rhetoric of the Trump regime makes ICE support come disproportionately from Christian groups. Not to mention that at least 60% of the nation is Christian.
So, sure, technically, it’s unlikely that Lemon would be filming this exact type of protest at another religion’s house of worship.
To be clear, Minaj used a homophobic epithet to describe Lemon.
Though his sexuality (he is gay and married to real estate agent Tim Malone) is not relevant to the story at hand, it seemed to be at the forefront of her mind.
In response, Don Lemon spoke to TMZ about Minaj’s unhinged tweet.
“I’m not surprised Nicki Minaj does not understand journalism and is weighing in on matters that are above her capacity,” he acknowledged.
“However, the more appropriate image for her post is a ‘Pick Me’ Doll,” Lemon opined.
What happened to Nicki Minaj?
Trump’s press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, tweeted her own absurd take.
She insisted that the Trump regime “will not tolerate the intimidation and harassment of Christians in their sacred places of worship.”
Additionally, she vowed that the unfortunately ironically named Department of Justice will be “launching a full investigation” into the matter.
Notably, Trump’s DOJ will not be investigating the murder of Renee Good. They have, however, obstructed local and state law enforcement from conducting their own investigations.
Leavitt is exactly what she appears to be. But, even in 2026, Minaj continues to catch some people by surprise. What happened to her?

But, to simplify, a lot of people believe that she’s just struggling. Whether it’s financial problems or her career kind of flopping or her needing political favors for the criminal men in her life, maybe she’s just desperate.
MAGA is an easy grift. As you may have seen in her Turning Point USA appearance last month, you don’t even need to be good at following the prompt. You just say a few malicious buzzwords to a lot of applause. It’s sad.
However, this seems to be who Minaj really is. From her absurd vaccine claims to how much she seems to hate any woman whom she perceives as competition to her ardent defense of sexual predators, she’s a perfect fit for MAGA.
(And no, putting Lemon on blast is not her first sign of bigotry against the LGBTQ+ community — even though, for many years, Black gay men were part of her core supporters)
The things that are wrong with Nicki Minaj go back for probably her entire life. But maybe she’s no longer hiding who she is because she’s hoping to cash in. We’ll see.

These days, Erika Kirk is a household name.
In the months since Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a speaking engagement, Erika has been on a nonstop press tour — hosting rallies, visiting the White House, and sitting for constant interviews.
But even though she kept a much lower profile during her marriage to Charlie, Erika is no stranger to the spotlight.
The former beauty queen and college athlete even made an appearance on the Bravo reality show Summer House before she met her husband, and she says there was talk of her joining the cast on a full-time basis.
And like many young people with aspirations of fame and fortune, Erika briefly tried her hand at acting.
It seems that her only surviving project is an unreleased action thriller titled November Renaissance.
And much is being made of the fact that Erika seems to have played an assassin in the movie.
“YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP: Photo of Erika Frantzve on a roof with a sniper rifle from the military assassination movie she starred in. She is quite the actress,” the X (formerly Twitter) account Sword of Truth posted, adding:
“Who DIDN’T Erika Frantzve Kirk date? New footage reveals she was in a military assassination movie November Renaissance and allegedly dated one of her co-stars.”
While multiple media outlets have run with these claims, we can’t confirm or deny that Kirk — whose maiden name was Erika Frantzve — starred in such a film.
And we certainly can’t confirm that she dated her co-star (although she was single at the time, so we’re not sure why it would be controversial if she had).
Naturally, Erika has not publicly acknowledged these allegations, and it’s unlikely that she ever will.
Even if they’re true, the claim that she once starred in an unreleased, low-budget thriller is not exactly earth-shattering.
Many have criticized Erika’s behavior in the months since Charlie’s death.
She’s been accused of exploiting her husband’s murder and neglecting her two young children, ages 1 and 3 (and many have pointed out Charlie’s belief that a mother’s place is at home with her kids).
But the fact that she starred in a movie long before she met her husband is hardly relevant to that discussion. And the nature of the film — and her role in it — are even less relevant.
