Under a recent Instagram post, a now-no-longer-visible comment from a fan encouraged the yoga teacher to check out Brooklyn’s most recent posts.
Clearly, she looked into the 26-year-old’s series of Story posts from Monday, January 19, in which he detailed his many reasons for breaking free from his parents’ control.
“So happy he is standing up for himself and speaking publicly finally!!!!” Rebecca wrote encouragingly.
“I have felt so bad for his poor wife,” she then expressed, “knowing too well what they can be like!”
Commenters quickly showered Rebecca with encouragement.
Some highlighted how she and Brooklyn strangely have more in common than some might have imagined.
Several appraised that she must feel a degree of vindication.
When one commenter called Brooklyn’s words a “fascinating admission,” Rebecca responded.
“The truth always comes out,” she expressed.
Who is she, again?
In July 2003, David and Victoria Beckham had only been married for a few years.
When David began playing for Real Madrid, a sports team (David achieved a uprising amount of fame in Europe as a soccer player), Victoria remained home in England with their young sons.
Rebecca became his personal assistant at that time.
In April 2004, she publicly claimed to have had an affair with the athlete.
The fallout was intense.
Whether Rebecca’s claims were true or not, the Beckhams’ response was immediate: damage control.
Like other famous families, they circled the wagons.
Rebecca was able to make a series of reality TV appearances over the years as a result.
However, David never confirmed her claims.
There are those who believe that she concocted the story — as revenge against an employer, or perhaps simply while angling for fame.
Is this vindication?
We wouldn’t say that Brooklyn’s litany of understandable grievances against his parents are direct vindication of Rebecca.
However, he feels that he and his wife, Nicola, have spent years as the targets of a powerful PR machine.
Some liken Victoria and David to being the UK’s other royal family. The degree to which the country’s already notorious tabloids will go in order to sanitize reports on them appears to match.

It seems likely that Rebecca, like Brooklyn, feels that she had little chance to get her side of things public against a PR behemoth. In that since, yes, this might feel pretty darn vindicating.

If you’re a Swiftie, you might be aware of a strange new controversy that’s emerged in recent weeks:
Concerns about Taylor Swift’s drinking habits have been circulating on social media.
That’s thanks in large part to a content creator named E.B. Johnson, who has pointed out that there seem to be discrepancies between Taylor’s comments about her drinking and her actual alcohol intake.
Johnson points out, for example, that Taylor claimed that she quit drinking during the Eras Tour, but photos and video from that time period seem to tell a different story.
Whatever the case, the situation has led to increased scrutiny of Taylor’s booze intake — and a funny story about beer and her future brother-in-law has resurfaced amid the controversy.
“I’ve got a very embarrassing story from last night about beer,” Jason Kelce said while appearing on the Barstool Sports “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast back in September.
“So I’m drinking beer, and I’m not really hammering ’em. I’m just kind of putting one back every 30 minutes or something,” Jason recalled.
“I’m just kind of enjoying beers last night, and I think it was third quarter [of a game he was watching], I find out that I’ve been drinking non-alcoholic beer the entire day,” he continued with a laugh.
“It was the most amount of shame I’ve ever felt in myself. I was just like, ‘What the f— is wrong with you, Jason!?’”
Asked who had been providing him with the non-alcoholic brews, Jason replied, “Taylor.”
“Because she said Travis had just been doing the same thing, and he’s ashamed. I’m like, ‘Time out, Travis. There’s non-alcoholic beer here!?’” he explained, adding:
“We had both been drinking these Budweiser Zeros, thinking they were just something like zero calorie Budweiser.”
Travis went on to joke that he was “so ashamed,” and had “just wasted three quarters of my life.”
There’s a lot to unpack here in the context of Taylor’s relationship with alcohol.
Did she give Jason the NA Buds as a joke? Is there non-alcoholic beer in the house because she and Travis Kelce are trying to cut back?
We don’t know, but you can bet that Swifties and haters alike will be dissecting the situation on Instagram and TikTok.
Interesting, that’s not the only amusing anecdote involving Taylor Swift, the Kelce brothers, and beer.
During an episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Travis and Taylor discussed an awkward moment that occurred while he was waiting to meet the royal family.
“He was like, ‘What do I do with my beer?’ ” Travis recalled (via People).
“I watched him have this moment with his beer where he was like, ‘But I want to take it, but I know that I probably should not take it,’ ” Swift chimed in. “I watched this happen, and it kind of was the most amazing…”
Something tells us Prince William wouldn’t have been scandalized by the sight of a grown man drinking a beer, but we understand the concern.

She’s done it again!
Jennette McCurdy shocked the world with her debut book, I’m Glad My Mom Died.
The former child actress is now tapping into a different vein of rage in a new novel.
In Half His Age, she’s clearly bringing her own anger at having once dated a “f–king loser” man in his mid-30s when she was in her teens.

Jennette was never comfortable as a child actress because it was never her choice. She is much happier as an author — a successful one, at that.
Half His Age, she told ABC News, is a novel about an 18-year-old girl who is “ravenous.”
Jennette explained that the story is a way for her to “channel my own anger.”
Writing, she said, is “a way of channeling that anger in a healthy way.” The rage is, simply put, part of the healing process.
If you’re wondering why this author had so much rage to fuel her writing, she explained that.
Earlier this month, Jennette sat down on the Call Her Daddy podcast where she very directly discussed being “17 or 18” when a man in his mid-30s befriended her and then initiated a relationship with her.
In her interview, she freely acknowledged how her childhood of emotional and sexual abuse set the stage for a man twice her age to become her boyfriend.
Jennette recalled being a teen and “thinking that I was mature, thinking that I was so smart that this could happen.”
She continued: “I remember thinking like, ‘Oh yeah, there’s just something about me that’s a little different. Like, I’m special.’”
Red flags, red flags
“That’s what it felt like for me,” Jennette continued. “‘I’m special, I can connect with older people, younger people aren’t on my wavelength.’”
This wasn’t just in her own head. She said that the older man reinforced these messages.
“It was, you know, ‘You’re so mature. I can’t talk to anyone this way. I can’t believe how smart you are,’” Jennette described.
“Like, are you kidding me? I was such an idiot. I’m so embarrassed,” she expressed. She is, of course, not to blame.
In contrast, Jennette recalled the man’s male friends being friendly and cordial but feeling a distance from the women in those men’s lives. As an adult, she now sees that those women didn’t hate her — but were judging the man for dating a girl, well, half of his age.
As the interview emphasized, the power imbalance is inherent to age gap relationships to this degree. Even if they had not worked together, having twice someone’s life experience (the younger party being a teenager) is just going to put them on uneven footing.
“That it was ultimately my choice. That it was ultimately up to me. That ultimately, I was the one in charge,” she recalled believing.
“And I think if you feel really powerless, you’ll take that bait,” she explained.
Jennette described: “You know, you’ll take that, and you’ll go, ‘Okay, I really want that feeling of power even though my gut kind of knows this isn’t that, I’ll take what you’re saying, and I’ll try to run with it, and I’ll try to make it into some semblance of power.’”
She reasoned: “If you’re that desperate for it, you will take the bait. And I think I did.”
Certain types of older men tend to zero in on teens who are least prepared to see them coming
It is important to emphasize two things.
The first is that Jennette is not accusing this man of anything illegal. He only joined the show when she was about 18, and had been living in an apartment for 2 months before he (drunkenly) showed up to express his feelings and then cheat on his girlfriend with her. (She did not know this)
Being a “loser,” as she now accurately calls him, is not a crime.
The second is that the years of emotional and sexual abuse from her mother that she described in I’m Glad My Mom Died absolutely set the stage for this.
Jennette spent her childhood feeling powerless, being powerless. Convincing herself that she was choosing this for herself — not to mention that she likely felt that he created a buffer of safety against her mother — made her feel in control.
Combined with her Mormon upbringing, her homeschooling, and more, she had even less preparation than an average 18-year-old might have had within that dynamic.

Erika Kirk wants justice to be done in the case of Charlie Kirk’s murder. And she wants it to happen soon.
As you’re probably aware, a 22-year-old Utah native named Tyler Robinson has been arrested and charged with Charlie’s assassination.
Now, Erika is standing up for her rights as a victim.
According to paperwork filed by her attorney, Jeffrey Neiman, Erika is pushing back against delay tactics from Robinson’s legal team and invoking her right to a speedy trial.
“The Utah Code affords victims of a crime ‘the right to a speedy disposition of the charges free from unwarranted delay caused by or at the behest of the defendant,’” Neiman wrote, according to Yahoo! News.
“This Court is tasked with the critically important function of ensuring the Defendant has a fair trial, but this Court must also do so while balancing Mrs. Kirk’s right to a speedy trial and therefore this Notice invokes Mrs. Kirk’s rights under applicable Utah Code.”
Robinson appeared in court on Friday, but he did not enter a plea.
During his most recent hearing, prosecutors said that they’d completed about 90 percent of the discovery process — meaning they’re just about ready to go to trial.
Robinson, however, hasn’t even faced a preliminary hearing.
Many were disappointed when he once again remained silent in court.
Kirk has mostly remained silent on the subject of Robinson, and this is the first time that she has taken any legal action with regard to his case.
She created minor controversy at a memorial event when she stated that she had already forgiven Charlie Kirk’s killer.
In the months since, countless conspiracy theories have emerged from media figures and social media users who believe either that Robinson did not act alone, or that he’s being scapegoated.
Erika has asked the rumor merchants to stop spreading misinformation, but other than that, she’s remained silent regarding the details of the case.
Stepping into a new role as CEO of Turning Point USA, Erika has been everywhere in recent months, hosting rallies, visiting the White House, and sitting for countless interviews.
Some say she’s exploiting her husband’s death. Others say she’s honoring his memory.

On Monday, January 19, Brooklyn penned a lengthy explanation of his beef with his famous parents.
The 26-year-old confirmed existing reporting that one of the key points of contention was his mother, Spice Girls alum Victoria Beckham, misbehaving at his April 2022 wedding.
“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife,” he wrote. It was a dance “which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song.”
Brooklyn recalled: “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage.”
He continued: “Where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me.” This sounds like a psychological horror film.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone,” Brooklyn described. “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
This Carrie-at-the-prom moment sounds genuinely traumatic. Even an “appropriate” wedding hijacking can ruin the day.
Brooklyn added that he and his wife, Nicola, “wanted to renew our vows.” They did so in 2025.
He explained that they did this so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness” instead of “anxiety and embarrassment.”
If your silly prank is so ruinous that someone needs a wedding do-over, you shouldn’t really expect them to talk to you again. Especially if it’s only one piece of a long, ugly story.
He’s only speaking out because, otherwise, his parents control the narrative
There are no actual public videos of Victoria’s alleged total violation of her son’s wedding.
People had even dismissed reports of this exact thing taking place, in that it sounds like the behavior of a madwoman or the over-the-top antics of a soap opera villainess.
Few had imagined that it might be true. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning.
Around the time of Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding, reports claimed that Nicola had rejected one of her mother-in-law’s designs for her wedding dress.
Nicola denied that publicly. She simply said that the atelier couldn’t complete the dress in time. It was tasteful and diplomatic. But, Brooklyn shared, it was not the whole truth.
According to Brooklyn, his mother was going to make Nicola’s dress — but backed out “in the eleventh hour.”
He complained that both of his parents have been “trying endlessly to ruin” his relationship, seemingly both before and after they married. Even the night before the wedding, they allegedly emphasized to him that Nicola is “not blood” and “not family.”
The Beckham family brand also came into play, with his parents allegedly trying to pressure him into signing away the rights to his name in order for a larger payout.
“They have never treated me the same since” he refused, Brooklyn reported.
The Beckhams are sometimes regarded as the UK’s other royal family. The comparisons between Brooklyn and Prince Harry are obvious.

Honestly? Good for him to standing up for himself (but we’re sorry that he had to)
Brooklyn grew up in a spotlight that he never chose for himself.
His parents are intensely famous, are politically connected (David has been at Davos this where billionaires are scheming about the economy), and give the impression that the family brand has taken precedence over their son.
We’re sure that Victoria and David love their son. We’re equally sure that it’s clearly not enough.
Some adult children will simply put up with who their parents are and how they misbehave. Not all will.
If you want a continuing relationship with your kids, you should make better choices. A sense of parental entitlement can only go so far.
