We have tragic news to report from the world of television today:

Christy Knowings — the comic actress best known for her work on Nickelodeon’s beloved sketch show All That — has passed away.

She was just 46 years old.

According to People, Knowings suffered an asthma attack on August 7 and was hospitalized at a Los Angeles-area hospital. She was subsequently placed on life support and died on August 11.

Knowings’ family reportedly made the decision to remove her from life support after the attack resulted in severe brain damage.

The actress joined the cast of All That in 1997 and appeared in more than 30 episodes through 1999.

During her time on the Nickelodeon hit, Knowings portrayed a variety of characters, including Gloria Bankhead, a role she particularly enjoyed.

The series became a launching pad for several young stars, including Kenan Thompson, Amanda Bynes, Kel Mitchell, and Nick Cannon.

Thompson, who starred alongside Knowings on All That, reacted to the heartbreaking news on Instagram.

“Man this one hit hard!!! Rest well Christy!!! Never could have imagined this day!!” Thompson wrote, while sending love to Knowings’ family and remembering her as “one of the funniest people out here.”

Knowings continued working in entertainment after her All That run came to an end.

She appeared in the 2009 film Mother and Child, which also gave her a writing credit.

She later appeared on Sesame Street alongside her twin brother, Chris Knowings, making three appearances between 2009 and 2011.

She also pursued music, releasing the folk single “To the World” in 2020.

Sadly, Knowings’ death comes just months after another former All That cast member, Kianna Underwood, died at age 33 after being killed in a hit-and-run incident in New York City.

For fans who grew up watching All That, these losses are a painful reminder of just how much the Nickelodeon series meant to an entire generation.

On social media, tributes have poured in from all over the world, as family, friends, and a legion of adoring fans recall their favorite moments from Christy’s career.

Back in December of 2024, Luigi Mangione was arrested in connection with the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Now, Mangione may be ready to put an end to at least one chapter of his ongoing legal saga.

According to a new report from NBC News, Mangione is expected to plead guilty to federal charges related to Thompson’s death during a court appearance on Friday in Manhattan.

The anticipated plea comes just weeks before Mangione is scheduled to face a separate murder trial in New York state court.

Mangione is accused of fatally shooting Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel on December 4, 2024.

The killing sparked a massive manhunt and generated an extraordinary amount of public attention, including widespread support for Mangione online.

He was arrested five days later in Pennsylvania.

Mangione has previously pleaded not guilty to both the federal and state cases. His federal charges include two counts of stalking resulting in death.

A guilty plea could have significant consequences beyond the federal case.

New York’s double-jeopardy protections could potentially prevent state prosecutors from pursuing their murder case if Mangione is convicted federally first.

However, Manhattan prosecutors have indicated that they intend to fight any effort that could interfere with their prosecution.

For now, the precise terms of any potential plea agreement remain unclear.

Mangione was originally facing additional federal charges, including a murder charge that could have made him eligible for the death penalty.

Those charges were dismissed earlier this year because of legal issues, although the remaining federal charges still carry the possibility of a life sentence.

The timing of the reported plea is especially notable, as Mangione’s New York state murder trial is currently scheduled to begin with jury selection on September 8.

A judge recently ordered that the jury remain anonymous amid concerns about the enormous public interest in the case and the behavior of some of Mangione’s supporters.

The federal case had been scheduled for trial in January 2027.

But if Mangione does indeed change his plea on Friday, the legal landscape could look dramatically different by the time his state trial is scheduled to begin.

Neither Mangione’s attorneys nor federal prosecutors have publicly confirmed that a guilty plea is happening.

For now, all eyes are on Friday’s hearing — and on what could be a major turning point in one of the most closely watched criminal cases in the country.

Brad Pitt is having quite a week.

On Monday, Pitt revealed that he’s drinking again after seven years of sobriety.

That was followed by a weird statement from an “insider” who claimed that Brad has not relapsed but is now drinking with “discipline”

Now, new, less scandalous segments from Brad’s recent Esquire interview are coming to light. And it’s safe to say the embattled star really didn’t hold back.

At one point, Pitt revealed that he has a hard time watching adult film — and his reason has absolutely nothing to do with the subject matter.

Instead, the Oscar winner simply can’t get past what he considers bad acting.

During the conversation, Pitt opened up about his love of movies and television while discussing his lengthy career in Hollywood.

The 62-year-old actor admitted that poor performances can quickly take him out of whatever he’s watching.

“Bad acting drives me crazy,” Pitt explained.

And then came the rather unexpected confession.

“It’s why I can’t watch p-rn,” Pitt said.

Pitt also compared the subject to another type of performance that leaves him scratching his head: soccer players dramatically hitting the ground after relatively minor contact.

The actor joked that he would like to give some of the sport’s biggest stars — including Brazilian megastar Neymar — acting lessons, suggesting that their theatrics could use some serious improvement.

“I’m gonna start a class for flopping, because these guys are terrible. It’s some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen. I know drawing a foul is part of the gamesmanship, but man, they need a lot of help,” the actor explained, adding:

“And I’m going to start with (Brazilian star) Neymar, because as balletic as he is on the pitch, man, he needs some help.

“I’m going to show him how to sell it, do it with understatement, how not to do it too often so it reads as real. I got a whole curriculum.”

For Pitt, apparently, realism matters.

Whether he’s watching a major Hollywood production, a soccer match, or something considerably more NSFW, the actor simply can’t turn off his critical eye.

And while his comments were clearly delivered with his trademark dry humor, they offer another glimpse into just how seriously Pitt takes the craft of acting.

After fleeing to another state with another set of legal considerations, surrogate McKenna West has given birth.

Hers is an odd story that seems pretty miserable for everyone involved.

Flouting her contract and fleeing to another state, West hoped that she’d be recognized as the birth mother.

The parents are suing her as they prepare to give their newborn son a series of major surgeries. And yes, they’re facing off in court in a fairly unique clash of inter-state law.

What is McKenna West’s story?

West was a surrogate — specifically, a gestational carrier — from Alaska.

(Gestational carriers are implanted with an embryo from another couple, but are colloquially referred to as “surrogates” by most folks.)

She had agreed to go through a pregnancy for a couple who live in California.

Part of the surrogacy agreement contained a clause allowing the couple — the parents-to-be — to terminate the pregnancy if prenatal testing uncovered any anomalies, just as they would have had one of them been pregnant.

This is all pretty standard fare for a surrogacy arrangement and contract. But, as you can imagine, this is where it all went awry.

At the 20 week scan, doctors discovered that the fetus had hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

HLHS is a rare birth defect. The left side of the heart is severely underdeveloped and incapable of aiding in a healthy circulatory system.

Treatments are drastic and involve three major heart surgeries.

The Norwood procedure takes place within days of birth. The Glenn procedure is performed upon the infant several months later. At around preschool age, patients must undergo the Fontan procedure.

Heart surgeries upon a baby or small child are traumatic and carry major risks. Even those who undergo all three treatments face major risks, with 30% not even surviving childhood to become adults.

What will the courts decide? This case involves three states, two parents, and a surrogate (and some political theater for Ken Paxton)

When the parents-to-be learned of this diagnosis, they made the difficult decision to trigger the clause and terminate the pregnancy.

But that is not what happened.

Instead, West refused. She also fled to Texas, where she hopes that local laws would consider her to be the “birth mother” even though the child is not hers genetically.

Her due date was on September 2, but she gave birth on Wednesday, August 12, in the Dallas area.

West also took the audacious step of naming the child, selecting “Gabriel” for a child who is in a legal gray area.

As you can imagine, the baby’s parents are feeling several emotions after this roller coaster.

“Our clients’ only focus at this time is ensuring that their baby receives the medical care that he vitally needs and that they, as his parents, are able to spend every precious moment they can with him,” their attorney told The Dallas Morning News.

The parents are (obviously) suing West. They are due in court later this month. In the meantime, West is at least not allowed to see or care for their child.

Her attorney has expressed that she has considered taking the child if the court finds that she is allowed to.

It sounds like this is a classic case of breach of contract, but with a lot of personal pain and a very real chance that the parents will end up losing their child — whatever they may name him — in the coming decade or so.

We will hope for the best for a family that has already been through so much as they face both the medical and legal hurdles to come.

The official WordPress Browser Extension is now available for Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers in the Chrome Web Store and for Safari on macOS in the Mac App Store. This new open source extension lets logged-in site users easily hide the admin bar while keeping its most helpful shortcuts in the browser toolbar, provides quick access to all of your WordPress sites, and adds helpful tools for developers and content creators.

By default, the admin bar sits at the top of every page you view while signed in to WordPress, keeping the dashboard, the editor, and your profile within reach. That convenience carries a cost: the bar occupies the viewport, so the page on screen is never quite the page a visitor sees. On sites doing more interesting things with the viewport, such as sticky headers or scroll-driven effects, it can introduce artifacts that send you hunting for a bug that is not there. Further, the admin bar can sometimes grow unwieldy as plugins add their own features and shortcuts to it. Switching it off in your profile settings trades one problem for another, because the shortcuts leave with it.

That problem was the spark for the creation of the WordPress Browser Extension. The extension hides the admin bar on the sites you choose, or everywhere by default, and keeps the most commonly used shortcuts one click away. Bringing the full bar back takes two clicks and no trip to the dashboard. What began as a fix for that one tradeoff grew into something broader: a way to recognize WordPress wherever you find it on the web, to jump into your own sites from anywhere, and to carry a small set of tools for testing and review.

As you browse, the toolbar icon shows whether the current site runs WordPress and whether you are signed in, without being obtrusive. On a site you manage, opening the extension reveals shortcuts to the dashboard or to the editor for the exact post, page, taxonomy, or template in view, including template-backed pages that open in the Site Editor on block themes. A locally stored launcher remembers the sites you sign in to, so they stay available even when you are somewhere else entirely.

A few tools also turn out to be a better fit for the browser than for a WordPress plugin. The extension can draw block boundaries over the rendered page, open a phone-sized preview window, reload with cache busting, or clear cookies and local storage for the site you are on. Some of that is hard to do from inside a site, and none of it requires a plugin or any other software installation, so the same tools are available on every WordPress site you visit.

All of this happens on your device. The extension reads the page in front of it to work out what it is looking at, and when it needs more than the page can tell it, it asks the site. Your preferences, and the list of sites you sign in to, stay in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere else, and there is no tracking or analytics of any kind.

The extension began as an independent project and became an official project with active support from Matt Mullenweg. Notable contributors include Fabian Kägy, a core contributor and colleague at Fueled (formerly 10up), who helped shape much of its early design and architecture, and Khokan Sardar who contributed multiple patches. Several other Fueled colleagues provided comprehensive testing and influenced its final shape.

Although Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have finalized their divorce, both of them almost appear to still be single.

A new report explains the reasoning for why both Kidman and Urban appear to be keeping any new dates out of the spotlight.

It sounds a little like a game of chicken.

According to a report by RadarOnline, Kidman and Urban are both holding off on public dating until the other does the same.

“It’s become this cat-and-mouse game,” the alleged inside source characterized, “because Keith does not want to be the one who goes public with someone before Nicole does.”

The insider complained: “He took such a beating when people started linking him to other women after the split. It was horrible.” Yes, well, that’s what happens when you break up with one of the most beloved women on the planet.

“It’s no wonder he’s been afraid to let anything about his private life get out,” the overly sympathetic source expressed. “He doesn’t want to be seen as this huge villain.”

“It’s pretty similar to what Nicole’s been doing herself,” the insider claimed, “keeping everyone guessing while she quietly gets on with her life.”

The source insisted: “Among their friends it’s common knowledge they’ve both been moving on in their own ways. They’ve just been very stealthy about it.”

According to the insider: “But the moment Nicole confirms a new romance, whether it’s with this guy [Reinstein] she’s now linked with or someone else, Keith will be more than happy to do the same.”

The source concluded: “He’ll actually be relieved because then he won’t have to keep looking over his shoulder or worrying about being painted as the bad guy all over again.”

They are both adults and can just move on when they like. One might suggest that Urban wasn’t condemned for moving on so much as questions about when he might have moved on, and questions about how young the rumored flings might be.

Jenna Jameson has said “I do.” Again.

The former adult film star announced on Wednesday that she’s tied the knot for the fourth time, marrying her partner, Mil R. Ocampo, in an intimate Miami ceremony.

According to Page Six, the couple said “I do” on July 25 after dating for roughly a year. They had obtained their marriage license earlier this month, on July 7.

Jameson, 52, first went Instagram official with Ocampo in March 2025 — just weeks after she filed for divorce from her previous spouse, Jessi Lawless.

Jameson and Lawless married in Las Vegas in 2023, but their relationship quickly unraveled.

The pair announced their separation in April 2024, with Lawless publicly attributing the breakup to allegations surrounding Jenna’s drinking.

Jameson ultimately filed for divorce in February 2025.

At the time, Lawless claimed Jameson had repeatedly attempted to reconcile, but said she was “unwilling to entertain [Jameson’s] advances.” She also revealed that she had already been dating Christian Ghidina for eight months.

Now, Jameson has seemingly closed the book on that chapter of her life.

And she has some pretty big reasons for believing this marriage will be different.

Jameson has previously opened up about Ocampo’s role in her Christian faith journey.

In a November 2025 interview with Us Weekly, Jameson described Ocampo as a “devout Christian” who never pressured her to embrace religion.

Instead, Jameson said she watched her partner worship and felt inspired to explore Christianity herself.

“She never once pushed her faith on me,” Jameson said. “I watched her beautifully worship Jesus, and I felt so incredibly inspired.”

“So without words, she led me straight into the arms of Jesus,” she added.

Jameson also revealed that Ocampo wasn’t initially aware of her past in the adult entertainment industry.

But when Ocampo eventually learned about it, Jameson said her new partner didn’t judge her.

“I didn’t bring it up right away, and honestly, it never changed how she saw me,” Jameson said. “No judgment, no hesitation.”

For Jenna, that acceptance apparently made all the difference.

“That’s when I knew I could be honest with her, because she already accepted me as I was,” she explained.

Before marrying Lawless, Jameson was married to Brad Armstrong from 1996 to 2001 and Jay Grdina from 2003 to 2007.

So while this may be Jameson’s fourth trip down the aisle, she certainly seems convinced that this one will be different.

And after a string of tumultuous relationships, she appears to have found something she wasn’t expecting: a partner who helped lead her toward faith and accepted her past without judgment.
