Despite (or because of) the many scandals, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is a success.
Hulu’s looking to reheat their nachos with a spinoff, filming in Orange County.
Some of the women from the new show’s cast are already famous, even if they’re not household names.
And a couple of these women are arguably infamous.
‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County’ is coming later this year
On Wednesday, April 22, Hulu confirmed that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County will premiere later in 2026.
According to the press release, these are women whose “beliefs are not just their religion; they are their identity.”
The release teased: “While some defend their way of life, fighting against modernity, others embrace change, becoming a platform to disrupt the status quo.”
Hulu continued: “Scandals and secrets will be revealed, facades will crumble, and families and friendships will change forever on both sides of the battlefield.”
The teaser added: “As this group of strong, game-changing influencers comes together to build their answer to #MomTok.”
Additionally, we learned the cast of this new reality series.
As the title (and the show that inspired it) might suggest, these are a lot of very creative names with equally inventive spellings.
The cast will include Bobbi Althoff, Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Salomé Andrea, McCall DaPron, Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease, and Madison Fisher (formerly Bontempo).
Fisher, Pease, Higginson, Andrea, and Woods are all TikTokers and influencers.
Meanwhile, some of them are a little better known — and, at times, a little infamous.
Which of these women is already ‘famous’ in certain circles?
McCall DaPron, for example, is the sister of Mayci Neeley, who is a The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives OG.
On Wednesday, she coyly confessed to her Instagram followers that she has been “keeping a secret.”
In 2024, Aspyn Ovard gained a lot of attention when she filed to divorce her then-husband, Parker Ferris.
Why was that such a big deal? Because she filed on the same day that she announced the birth of their third child. Oof!
“15 years with you all and now we are going to be on hulu 2026!!!!!!!!!!” she cheered on Instagram.
Most controversial of all — at least, for now — is Bobbi Althoff.
Though she first gained some degree of attention on TikTok for pregnancy posting several years ago, it was in 2023 — when she launched her Really Good Podcast (that’s the name, not our appraisal) — that she went viral.
Some have accused Althoff of being some sort of industry plant. It’s not really clear what the 28-year-old podcast host brings to her interviews.
Others have accused her of lacking personality due to her flat deliveries. Which, again, reinforces the confusion over her casting.
When Hulu gives us a SLOMW: OC trailer, maybe we’ll know what the show will offer. For now, it’s clear that they’re hoping to expand upon the original series’ success.

The Tyson brothers will be 315 miles apart at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday night. And they each know exactly where the other will be at the moment the clock strikes eight. For Jaylon Tyson, his Cleveland Cavaliers will be on the court in Toronto for the opening tip of Game 3 in their playoff series against the Raptors. Jordyn Tyson, the Arizona State receiver and top NFL Draft prospect, will be with the rest of their family in the green room in Pittsburgh watching NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell take the stage to declare the 2026 draft open. It seems like bad luck that these events start at the same moment. But Jaylon sees a silver lining. “There’s a teaching moment within this, because you have to understand it’s a business that you’re about to walk into,” he told me by phone on Wednesday. “It’s your job; it’s your livelihood. So I got to take care of my job.” That’s the big brother talking — and always looking to impart wisdom in his little bro. In terms of following where Jordyn lands, Jaylon said he thinks he’ll wait until halftime, when a Cavs staffer will inform him. It’s one of the things Jordyn admires most about his brother: his professionalism. A month ago, not knowing what the NBA playoff schedule would look like, Jordyn told me that it would be “really special” if Jaylon could be there on draft night. Because Jordyn had been there for Jaylon in 2024 when the Cavaliers selected the 6-foot-6 shooting guard in Round 1 at 20th overall. “It was amazing,” Jordyn said, then growing somber. “But just to be honest, like it was messed up, because [on the TV graphics] it was like, ‘Next 15: Best available.’ He wasn’t on the next 15 when he was drafted. So just seeing people continue to just sleep on everything he’s done, everything he’s endured, everything he’s been grinding for and just people keep continuing to sleep on him. It’s just about him just continuing to prevail and prevail.” It didn’t matter that the draft broadcast wasn’t listing Jaylon when Cleveland selected him. All that mattered was that Cleveland selected him. And once all the excitement had settled down, Jaylon spoke to his little brother. “You’re up next,” Jaylon remembered saying. “Yeah, if it’s in God’s plan,” Jordyn responded. “No,” Jaylon said. “It’s going to happen.” At that time, Jordyn had yet to emerge on the college scene. He suffered a knee injury (ACL, MCL, PCL) in 2022 at Colorado. And then in 2023, after transferring to ASU, Jordyn went without a single catch in three appearances. So on Jaylon’s draft night, Jordyn’s future was uncertain. He had no real sense of what 2024 would bring. That was when Jordyn felt like he needed his brother the most. “I feel like without him, I wouldn’t be here,” Jordyn told me. “I wasn’t on the field, wasn’t competing. It was him continually just calling me to say, ‘You’re gonna be fine. You’re gonna be fine. Just keep going. Just keep working. That’s all you got to do.’ So just him constantly being in my ear, repeating kind of the same stuff.” They talk about more than just ball. In fact, those were the conversations Jordyn valued as much as the ones about sports. Because when they talked about life — from clothes to video games to something important that happened to them that day — it took Jordyn’s mind off his knee. In 2024 at ASU, Jordyn had a breakout season with 75 catches for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns. But then, it was Jaylon who was struggling. His first NBA season didn’t go as he had hoped. He wasn’t getting minutes with the Cavs and spent a lot of time in the G League with the Cleveland Charge. That’s when there was a role reversal that wasn’t always comfortable. “It was one of the hardest times in my athletic career — not being able to play, wanting to be out there,” Jaylon said. “[Jordyn] was there for me. He challenged me, and as big bro, I didn’t really like it at first, but I understood where it was coming from. It’s coming from a good place, and my goal was just, don’t show him any weakness, because if I showed him weakness, then how would he do when adversity came to him?” Doubt crept into Jaylon’s mind. Jordyn, who had enjoyed his breakout season at ASU, knew exactly how to tackle that feeling. “I don’t know if it helped him or not, or I don’t know how he really took it, because he’s big bro. He got to stay strong for me,” Jordyn told me. “I was like, ‘Just keep going.’ Kind of the same thing he was telling me. ‘Just keep going.’ He was doubting his play. And I was like, ‘Bro, you’re a good player. You’re a great player. And shoot, let it all play out. Just keep being you. Keep being yourself, and don’t crash out about something that you can’t control.’” Jaylon had his breakout season this year, playing in 66 games for the Cavaliers and averaging 13.2 points. As good as these brothers are to one another, they are fiercely competitive with one another. So I wondered: How will Jaylon respond if Jordyn gets picked earlier than No. 20? “That’s already done. He’s already beat me on that one,” Jaylon told me. It’s true: Everyone expects Tyson to go in the top 10 picks. But! “I always got the edge because I was the first to do everything. I was the first to go D-I, and I was the first to be a first-round pick,” Jaylon said. [Ranking and Evaluating the Top 10 Wide Receivers] There are two more things you should know about these brothers. First, if they’re competing against each other, steer clear. You might catch a stray. “Everything we did was competing. If our parents gave us $5, I’m getting $3 and you’re getting $2,” Jaylon said. “When we started getting older and we started getting stronger, our parents couldn’t let us keep fighting like we used to, because we were trying to kill each other.” And when they played football together, especially. “We were trying to tear each other’s head off.” Then there’s the second thing. If they’re competing against you, get out of the way. They’re coming for you. “It’s us versus the world,” Jaylon said. “It was always like that.” It makes sense that Jordyn doesn’t need Jaylon on Thursday night. And Jaylon doesn’t need Jordan. Sure, it’s always better when they’re together. But given all they’ve been through — and the way they’ve come out, they are both in prime positions to enjoy their night. The Cavaliers are up 2-0 in the series, with Jaylon playing a key rotational role. Jordyn seems to have won over the hearts of multiple teams picking in the top 10 — and certainly in the top half of the first round. He’ll hear his name early in the night. They owe their success to each other. And when they do finally connect on Thursday night, and they’re both first-round picks, here’s what Jaylon will tell Jordyn. “Don’t let nobody change you,” Jaylon said. “In this world and this industry, there’s going to be a lot of people who have something to say about you. On Wednesday, we reported on the news that Darrell Sheets had died at the age of 67.
The Storage Wars star is believed to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Now, police are investigating the events leading up to Sheets’ death, as they have reason to believe that online harassment may have played a role.
Sheets was found dead in his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Now, authorities in that town say they’re looking into claims that the reality TV vet had become a victim of vicious cyberbullying.
“We are aware of these cyberbullying accusations, and that is a part of the active investigation,” said a spokesperson for the department.
Little is known about the circumstances of the alleged bullying, but we’re sure that more will be revealed as the investigation progresses.
A spokesperson says that on Wednesday, police responded to a call about “a reported deceased individual.”
“Upon arrival, officers located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,” read the press release.
“The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation,” the spokesperson continued, adding:
“The body was ultimately turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office for further investigation. The male subject has been identified as Darrell Sheets, a 67-year-old resident of Lake Havasu City, and Darrell’s family has been notified.”
No official cause of death has been revealed, but People and other outlets were quick to report that Sheets appeared to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
It might be a long time before we know more about Sheets’ final hours, but in the meantime, his former Storage Wars colleagues are among the many paying tribure on social media.
“I’m at a loss for words! I’ve known Darrel Sheets for many years. I’m just so very sorry, to hear the circumstances of his passing. My heart hurts for Brandon, Zoe, and Kimber,” Brandi Passante wrote on Instagram, adding:
“I unfortunately lost a parent and a brother to similar situations. I would like to say to everyone, if you are struggling, if you feel hopeless or like no one cares. I assure you they do!! You are not alone.
“Please reach out for help. You are not taking your pain away, you are transferring it to someone else. The grief from suicide is endless. There is always help.”

Back in February, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi revealed her cervical cancer diagnosis.
It was a shock to the 38-year-old Jersey Shore star and to her fans.
Now, she’s opening up about her treatment plans, including an upcoming hysterectomy.
It’s scary. But fear is what had her avoiding screenings until it was almost too late. She can do this.
Stage 1 cervical cancer
Speaking to People, Nicole Polizzi explains that she reacted to her stage 1 cervical cancer diagnosis in a very understandable way.
“I had a breakdown,” she described. “I got to my car and I called my mom hysterically crying, thinking the worst.”
She revealed that she had ignored her doctor’s advice, putting off getting a new Pap smear for over a year before this appointment.
That bad news came in February. The good news is that it hasn’t spread.
The more complex news is that Polizzi will need to undergo a hysterectomy in these coming months. After that, she won’t need any further treatment.
“I was scared,” Polizzi admitted.
“But you know what?” she continued. “It’s not the worst case and I can still deal with it.”
Polizzi affirmed: “I’m gonna be fine.”
A cancer diagnosis is always scary. And a hysterectomy is major surgery.
However, it sounds like her prognosis is good. She also has the financial means and support system to undergo surgery and recover without upending her life.
There were warning signs, but she avoided painful screenings
Polizzi recalled that, starting about four years ago, she began receiving abnormal Pap smear results.
Doctors found precancerous cells, which were “nothing crazy,” as she put it.
Still, her doctors had her come in for screenings six times as often as the normal recommendation — every six months, rather than every three years.
But, more recently, Polizzi began putting off the uncomfortable screenings.
“I ended up not going for like a year and a half because it’s uncomfortable, it’s not fun,” she admitted.
“I knew something bad could happen,” Polizzi confessed, “but instead of dealing with it, I just pretended it wasn’t happening.”
In 2025, her doctor did not give up. That professional persistence may have saved her life.
“My doctor was leaving me a voicemail screaming at me like, ‘You need to get in here. This is serious. You don’t want it to escalate.’ That’s when I finally went in,” Polizzi described.
She underwent a colposcopy and a cone biopsy, which found “severe cancer cells.” Fortunately, they found them in time.
“Even though I’m done having kids, the thought of not being able to really upset me,” Polizzi said of her upcoming colonoscopy. “It messes with you a little bit.”
Still, she affirmed: “I have a ton of people that are here for me and they love me.” They’ll support her through this journey, including her recovery.

Ashley McBryde made her way to the Big Apple for a performance of her rising single, “What If We Don’t,” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.
The performance featured the Arkansas native alongside her band, bringing the powerful, guitar-driven ballad to life.
Marking her fastest-rising single at country radio to date, it’s easy to understand why the track is resonating with listeners. The song captures that in-between moment when two people are deciding whether to take their relationship to the next level. It delivers a message about not being afraid to take chances, as she questions, “What if we don’t? What if we don’t? What if we stop fightin’ what we know we both want/ We might regret how far we let it go/ What if we don’t?”
Tonight Show viewers praised her performance, calling it “stunning” and “perfectly executed.”
Another declared, “”This woman could sing the cereal box and I would listen.”
Reflecting on how the song came to life, McBryde shared, “‘What If We Don’t’ came to me, Terri Jo Box, and Randall Clay sitting around a fire pit on a back porch, reminiscing on all the moments that we could’ve made a different choice and wondering if we should’ve. It’s about the leaps of faith that you do or don’t take, and having to learn to live with those consequences either way.”
“What If We Don’t” serves as the lead single from Ashley McBryde’s forthcoming fifth studio album, Wild, which is set for release on May 8.
The 11-track project includes six songs co-written by McBryde, along with five outside cuts. The Grand Ole Opry member recently shared that some of the songs span more than 15 years of her life, including a few she once believed were too honest and “unvarnished” to ever release.
“At the time I was told I needed to be more palatable than what those songs were offering,” McBryde explained. “I’ve kept them in my live show over the years, and I’m so thankful that I never cut them before this album. When I hear myself playing them now, I can finally believe the woman who’s singing.”
Among the standout moments on Wild is “Bottle Tells Me So,” a powerful and deeply personal track co-written by Ashley McBryde alongside Shelly Fairchild and Terri Jo Box. The song explores the fallout of a night fueled by alcohol, capturing the disorienting mix of regret, clarity, and consequence that comes with the morning after. Through raw honesty and introspection, McBryde brings listeners into a moment of reckoning, marking a significant turning point in her journey.
“When I was drinking, it was much easier to turn off my inner critic as I was creating,” McBryde, who has been sober since June 2022, admitted. “But over time I learned I needed to acknowledge that voice, tell her she’s no fun to work with, and then try to tap into the younger version of me—the one who couldn’t handle all the things she left behind in Arkansas, and who ended up drinking to soothe herself. I had to tell her, ‘Okay, the alcohol’s gone and you’re scared—so, do it scared. You’ve been through worse, and you made it out all right.’”
