UFO Files: Trump’s Department of War Begins Releasing Controversial Documents

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Someone get Mulder and Scully on the phone. We’ve got a real-life X-Files situation going on!

Yes, after weeks of hype, the Trump administration’s Department of War began releasing its files pertaining to UFOs and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) today.

And skeptics and believers alike are now poring over the documents in search of definitive proof of intelligent life on other planets.

U.S. President Donald Trump arrives to speak at The Villages Charter School on May 01, 2026 in The Villages, Florida.

The good news is, there’s a lot of information in today’s file dump, which are being housed at the Department of War’s official website.

And the Trump administration says there’s plenty more to come.

The bad news is, the files that were released today are no more conclusive than previous eye-witness accounts and grainy video footage.

The files contain descriptions of incidents that occurred during the Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 moon missions.

During the Apollo 12 mission in 1969, astronaut Alan Bean reported “flashes of light” and noted that they seemed to be “sailing off into space.”

As space travel was still a very new phenomenon in those days, the ground crew was understandably baffled.

Years later, Apollo 17 astronauts reported “jagged” points of light that were “tumbling” and “rotating way out in the distance,” and a photo of the phenomenon is included in today’s data dump.

But it’s unlikely to convince any non-believers.

The files also contain internal military memos describing “one possible small UAP” in Iraq in 2022, as well as “multiple glares or light from an unknown origin” observed in Syria in 2024.

Many experts believe that those incidents can most likely be chalked up to foreign intelligence operations.

Of course, the files have become a sort of supernatural Rohrshach test, with everyone projecting their own beliefs and agendas onto the information available.

Take Rep. Lauren Boebert, for example, who thinks we’re dealing with proof of demons.

“I do believe that this is more spiritual and, if you really want to go there, demonic,” she said on social media today.

“The American people can now access the federal government’s declassified UAP files instantly,” the White House said in a press release, adding:

“The latest UAP videos, photos, and original source documents from across the entire United States government are all in one place — no clearance required.”

“The American people have asked for more transparency on these topics, and President Trump is delivering.”

There’s still a lot more information to be released. We have doubts that these files will change many minds regarding the existence of extraterrestrials.

But as David Duchovny once said, the truth is out there.

Elizabeth Smart Suggests Nancy Guthrie Could ‘Absolutely’ Be Alive Nearly 100 …

Reading Time: 2 minutes

We are just shy of 100 days since Nancy Guthrie’s violent kidnapping.

Many believe that we are months past any kind of happy resolution to this family tragedy.

However, Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped as a young teenager and spent months as a captive before finding freedom again.

She wants to emphasize that Nancy could be alive, despite everything.

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since the end of January

This week, Smart sat down for an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett.

Most of what she discussed was her recent passion for bodybuilding.

(The disordered eating and fitness behaviors that bodybuilding requires are common long-term consequences of childhood trauma.)

However, Burnett also referenced Smart’s expertise in the area of long-term kidnapping.

“I want to ask you about one thing, separate from all of this,” Burnett posed, admitting that she “was just thinking about it with Nancy Guthrie and being missing.”

As delicately as possible, she continued.

“When you were missing and the reason everyone knows your face, everyone wondered,” Burnett acknowledged.

“And then it was, well, it’s been months, and maybe the worst has happened,” she recalled.

Burnett added: And you came back, and here you are.”

With that in mind, she asked Smart if she believes that “there’s any chance” that Nancy “still could have gotten through it” despite being missing for months.

‘Absolutely’

“Absolutely. Absolutely,” Smart replied.

“She could absolutely still be alive,” she emphasized.

“There are cases that span many more years than mine does and they came back alive,” Smart acknowledged.

“And we’re talking years and years,” she continued.

Smart reiterated: “So she could absolutely still be alive.”

To be clear, Smart is not in denial.

“Of course there is the alternative,” she acknowledged.

She is very delicately alluding to the widespread belief that Nancy has died — that she likely passed away very early into her abduction, either due to a lack of her medication or to injuries sustained in the kidnapping.

“But until we know, we have to keep looking,” Smart affirmed.

She very accurately pointed out that Nancy “deserves, either way, to be brought home.”

Jaime Pressly Launches OnlyFans, Receives Criticism For Lack of Nudity

Reading Time: 2 minutes

It’s the latest trend among iconic Gen X actresses.

First, Shannon Elizabeth launched an OnlyFans, and now, My Name Is Earl star Jaime Pressly is following in her footsteps.

Elizabeth made $1.2 million in her first week on the site, which may have influenced Jaime’s decision.

Jaime Pressly poses for the 2021 Critics Choice Awards on March 07, 2021 in West Hollywood, California.

“I’ve always believed in evolving with the times. This is another way for me to connect directly with my audience, on my own terms, with creativity and intention,” Pressly told Variety of her decision.

“I’ve loved meeting fans at various Comic Cons, and the excitement of having those real face to face moments made me want to seek options like OnlyFans.”

“This is where things get a little more personal, playful, and completely unfiltered,” she teases on her page.

Pressly’s account also notes her account will offer “exclusive photos and videos, behind-the-scenes moments from my life, late-night thoughts and candid moments, direct chats with me and the side of me Hollywood doesn’t always get to see.”

Jaime and Shannon are longtime friends, and they recently reconnected so the news that Pressly had taken a page from Elizabeth’s career playbook didn’t come as a huge shock.

“So great seeing you after all these years, @jaimepressly. Always nice crossing paths again and sharing a moment like this,” Elizabeth captioned the Instagram post below.

Unfortunately, Jaime is now taking flak for the alleged lack of nudity on her page, echoing the criticism that Shannon previously received.

“It’s funny that OnlyFans is slowly turning into what it was initially intended for. We all know people like Shannon Elizabeth and Jaime Pressly ain’t showing t–ty on there,” wrote one Reddit user.

Some users pointed out that Shannon and Jaime are actually using the OF platform as it was originally intended — as a place for celebrities to monetize their online interactions with fans.

It just became a haven for adult content creators because this is the internet, and that’s what happens.

“People subscribe to these celebs on OF to have more personal access to them and a chance to chat with them. The PG-13 sexy photos that they post on there are just a bonus,” wrote one commenter.

Other Redditors countered that subscribers will most likely be interacting with Jaime’s PR team, rather than the actress herself.

We don’t know if that’s true, of course.

But whatever the case, Jaime is certain to make a ton of cash with her new venture.

And as many have pointed out, as the first Emmy winner with an OnlyFans, she’s already making history!

Luke Combs Awarded Honorary Degree from Appalachian State University

Luke Combs added another major milestone to his already impressive career on Thursday (May 7) when he was awarded an honorary degree from Appalachian State University.

The country superstar returned to Boone, North Carolina, to attend the university’s spring commencement ceremony, where he received an honorary degree in music. The moment was special to Combs, who attended Appalachian State from 2008 to 2012 before ultimately leaving school to pursue music full time. At the time, he was just 21 credit hours shy of earning his degree.

Before selling out stadiums across the country, Combs was a student studying criminal justice while performing at local college bars and small venues around Boone. Those early gigs helped spark the career path that eventually led him to Nashville.

That decision ultimately changed his life. Since then, Combs has become one of the biggest names in modern country music, earning 21 consecutive No. 1 singles on the Mediabase Country Aircheck chart. He has also been inducted into the Grand Ole Opry and taken home 11 CMA Awards, four ACM Awards, six Billboard Music Awards, and countless additional honors throughout his career.

“In every sense, Luke Combs represents the character and heart of a Mountaineer,” ASU Chancellor Heather Norris said in a news release. “His story inspires our students to dream big, work hard, and always remember where they came from. He represents the very best of our university community: a life lived with purpose, driven by a commitment to excellence and a genuine care for others.”

Combs has remained deeply connected to his North Carolina roots throughout his rise to fame. The Asheville native is known for proudly supporting Appalachian State football and the Carolina Panthers, often wearing Mountaineers and Panthers gear during concerts, interviews, and public appearances.

His connection to his home state became even more evident following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. After the storm impacted Asheville and surrounding communities, Combs joined forces with Eric Church, Billy Strings, and James Taylor for “Concert for Carolina,” a benefit event that raised more than $24.5 million for relief and recovery efforts.

Luke Combs continues a record-breaking run with the recent release of his album, The Way I Am, and his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour, which continues to shatter attendance records.
