Selena Gomez recently played a mom in a very dramatic manner.

She has been reprising her role of Alex Russo on Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.

After the dramatic Season 2 finale, she’s talking about her own hopes for motherhood.

In order to set the stage for Selena Gomez commenting on becoming a mom, we need to delve into Wizards of Waverly Place and the very recent finale of its spinoff.

Selena Gomez masterfully portrayed Alex Russo on the original series. Her deliveries felt like Megan Mullally on Will & Grace, which is some of our highest praise.

The iconic Disney Channel series followed Alex and her two brothers as they learn magic, encounter peril, all the while knowing that some absurd magical laws will eventually require them to compete to determine who keeps their magic.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is a modern spinoff following Billie, a young wizard who must receive training alongside two of Alex’s nephews, Milo and Roman.

The secret twist, revealed at the very end of the Season 2 finale (which aired this week), is that Billie is Alex’s daughter.

There was more to the big reveal — including, of course, that Alex Russo had to sacrifice herself.

(Is she dead? Not necessarily. Not every narrative substitute sacrifice involves actual death, and her fate remains ambiguous)

Speaking of ambiguous fates, Disney has not yet renewed the series for Season 3.

We live in a world where the companies that make television are so desperate for The Next Big Thing that they drown most shows in their infancy rather than give them time to build up an audience and following.

However, one detail that is grabbing people’s attention is what Selena wrote after the finale aired.

Following the dramatic Season 2 finale, Selena Gomez took to her Instagram Story to share a screenshot of that emotional on-screen moment.

“Alex Russo is a mommy,” she acknowledged in her Story post.

“Hopefully,” Selena wrote, “one day, that’ll be me.”

She had more to say in an interview on Disney Channel’s YouTube page.

She and Janice LeAnn Brown, who plays Billie Russo on the series, both discussed the big reveal and what it felt like to film.

“It was very emotional, especially for me and her after the table read,” the young actress expressed.

Selena chimed in: “We were just puddles.”

In previous interviews, Selena has opened up about how she feels that portraying Alex helped to sculpt her into who she is today.

Not merely because her Disney Channel role helped to catapult her to fame in the first place — but because there’s a sort of exchange when actors portray characters for a long time. A little of the actor becomes part of the character, and sometimes the transfusion goes both ways.

We already knew that Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco want to have children one day.

Obviously, Selena’s health battle over the years — and the treatments for it — have made that a complex topic. Doctors have warned her about this.

However, both a gestational carrier (commonly referred to as a “surrogate”) and adoption are on the table.

Selena loves kids. She has spent much of her life and career entertaining them.

We’re sure that she’ll make an amazing mother.

Also, Disney Plus needs to renew Wizards Beyond Waverly Place right away and show us that Alex is okay. Kids aren’t the only ones who feel invested, you know.

Another Bravo personality is in trouble with the law.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ and other celebrity gossip outlets, The Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo and husband Eddie Osefo have been arrested for fraud.

A grand jury indicted the reality star on insurance fraud, conspiracy insurance fraud and false statement to police officer on Thursday, October 9 based on these papers.

As it stands now, Osefo is facing 16 charges, including seven felonies and a misdemeanor for making a false statement to a police officer.

Her spouse, meanwhile, is facing 18 charges, including nine felonies over allegedly giving false information in excess of $300, per the court records.

The couple was booked Thursday night in Westminster, Maryland

Authorities allege that the semi-famous couple reported a burglary in April last year, claiming they found their bedroom ransacked after returning from a trip to Jamaica.

The thing is, Wendy was eventually seen in a social media post wearing the exact diamond ring that she had reported stolen to the police. OOPS!

Moreover, an investigation determined a multitude of items the Osefos said were stolen had been purchased, then returned to the store “where a full refund was provided prior to the alleged burglary.”

The documents indicate the couple had claimed a $450,000 personal property loss to an insurance company.

The stars share children Karter, 11, Kruz, 9, and Kamrynn, 5.

News of their arrest comes a little over a month after their Real Housewives of Potomac costar Karen Huger was released from prison early on September 2 after serving six months in prison following a guilty verdict over a March 2024 car crash and DUI arrest near Bethesda, Maryland.

Previously, of course, Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Teresa Giudice spent time behind bars for financial fraud.

Similarly, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah is serving a 6.5-year sentence for her role in a wire fraud and money laundering scheme, with her release date set for November 3, 2026.

Wendy Osefo has been a cast member on Real Housewives of Potomac since Season 5 in 2020.

Disney Night saw Hilaria Baldwin eliminated on Dancing With The Stars.

She’d nailed her dance moves. But the dance competition is really a popularity contest, and that’s where she fell short.

On stage, Hilaria took the news graciously.

Backstage, however, she reportedly pitched a fit.

Did Hilaria Baldwin take the ‘DWTS’ disappointment well?

According to what sources tell ShuterScoop, Hilaria Baldwin did not handle her DWTS elimination with grace.

Allegedly, she “completely lost it” backstage following the news.

Hilaria reportedly spared no one from her ire — including producers, judges, and husband Alec Baldwin.

Apparently, she accused the producers of “sabotage” in some capacity.

Wait, what?

As you may recall, Hilaria performed an excellent dance to the Cantina Jizz music of Max Rebo from Star Wars: A New Hope.

Apparently, her alleged backstage rant felt that the Star Wars approach to Disney Night was all wrong.

The alleged “sabotage” from producers was not giving her the right music or choreography.

“She said it wasn’t ‘Disney enough,’” a source reported. “And blamed Alec’s friends for not voting.”

Star Wars has been a Disney property for over a decade. She nailed the choreography. And no one in the world has enough friends to sway a vote like that — least of all Alec Baldwin.

‘She wanted this to be her redemption moment’

Another alleged witness described Hilaria Baldwin as displaying a “rollercoaster of rage and tears” backstage.

That sounds intense and unprofessional!

A third reported feeling real sympathy for the aspiring Real Housewife as she grappled with her elimination.

“It was heartbreaking,” this source characterized.

The insider added: “She wanted this to be her redemption moment.”

Just for the record, Hilaria’s public reaction to the disappointing news was one of composure and maturity.

“The first night we got here to L.A…I said to my daughter, because I’m so open with my kids, ‘What happens if I get voted off right away?’” she told cameras at the time.

Hilaria continued: “She said, ‘Mommy, at least you tried.’ And I hope they always know that: At least I tried.”

Dance partner Gleb Savchenko gushed over her, telling her how proud he was of her.

Additionally, the judges praised her dance skills prior to the disappointing elimination news.

‘This has been an amazing time’

“This has been an incredible experience,” Hilaria Baldwin publicly expressed. “I am so grateful to all of you.”

She added: “I’m so grateful to my children and my family.”

With her head held high, she affirmed: “I’m cheering on everybody in the cast. This has been an amazing time.”

We cannot confirm reports of any behind-the-scenes tantrums. However, it’s good to see that, if that report is true, she at least managed to keep her outburst out of sight of the public.

Everyone is entitled to their feelings. Maturity is about when and how to express those emotions, and being sure to direct them in healthy ways.

Wendy Osefo and husband Eddie Osefo are in serious trouble with the law.

As previously reported, The Real Housewives of Potomoc cast member was arrested this week on a multitude of felonies… including insurance fraud, conspiracy insurance fraud and making a false statement to a police officer.

The spouses were booked in Westminster, Maryland on October 9; with bail set at $50,000. They were released on Friday.

According to authorities, both Wendy and Eddie alleged designer bags and jewelry were missing from their bedroom during a supposed burglary in April 2024.

The Bravo personality, however, was allegedly seen wearing one of the stolen diamond rings in a subsequent social media post.

A police investigation determined that other items they claimed were stolen had been purchased and returned to their respective stores “where a full refund was provided prior to the alleged burglary.”

Prosecutors claim the famous couple tried to write off a $450,000 personal property loss via an insurance company.

As it turns out, though, they may have simply been lying about these items having been stolen.

“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans and colleagues,” a representative for the couple said on Friday.

“The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”

It’s unlikely a reality star who has been a core cast member on The Real Housewives of Potomoc since 2020 will have this request granted.

During an appearance on Fox 5 DC on Friday, for example, Bravo alum Dillard Bassett reacted in almost real time to Osefo’s detainment, saying she was “shocked” and “shaking” after finding out the news moments before going live.

“I know the Osefos, I know their children, I know their family, I’m heartbroken,” she added. “It just feels like someone is out to get the girls.”

The parents of three (Karter, 11, Kruz, 9, and Kamrynn, 5) are due back in court in November, online court records state.

As Wendy’s legal woes play out, she will continue to appear on Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomoc, which airs Sundays on Bravo.

In a press conference called by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office on Friday afternoon, Sheriff James T. DeWees detailed the charges, and then took questions.

“I don’t care if she’s real housewife, fake housewife, or whatever she is — we would handle it the same way, regardless of who she was.” DeWees told reporters.

Osefo isn’t the first member of the Potomac cast to be faced with legal challenges.

Original cast member Karen Huger was arrested in March 2024 for driving under the influence, which she denied all throughout Season 9 of the show.

She was then convicted in December 2024, and sentenced to up to two years in prison, although Huger was released on September 2 after serving a six-month sentence.
