Joseph Duggar: Judge Denies Request For Unsupervised Visits With His Kids

Reading Time: 2 minutes

More bad news for Joseph Duggar:

The embattled former reality star appeared in court via Zoom today, three months after he was arrested on child molestation charges.

And as Us Weekly reports, the judge in his case denied Joseph’s request for unsupervised visits with his four children.

Joseph Duggar has been arrested for the alleged molestation of a 9-year-old girl.

Joseph is facing charges in both Bay County, Florida and his home state of Arkansas, where he has been indicted for child endangerment.

(Upon searching Joseph’s home after his arrest, investigators determined that he and wife Kendra Duggar were in the habit of locking their children in their bedrooms as punishment.)

Defense attorney, Albert Sauline, argued that it would be “a little unusual” for a criminal case in Florida to impact Joseph’s ability to see his kids, when said kids were not the alleged victims in the Florida case.

The judge saw things differently, as did assistant state attorney Joao Paulo Ferreira, who noted that Children and Family Services in Arkansas would be more than willing to supervise contact with Joseph’s children.

That might not bode well for prosecutors’ willingness to work with Joe’s attorneys as the legal process continues.

Meanwhile, the financial troubles facing Joseph and Kendra Duggar appear to be mounting.

According to a new report from People, Kendra has listed one of the family’s Arkansas properties for sale as her husband prepares for a trial that could send him to prison for the rest of his life.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Siloam Springs is reportedly being offered for $407,900. The property sits on more than an acre of land and had previously been occupied by members of Kendra’s family.

Joseph and Kendra reportedly evicted the tenants after her parents sided with Joseph’s accuser.

According to recordings of jail phone calls obtained by People, Joseph and Kendra spoke in March about whether it would make more sense to sell the property or keep it as a rental source of income in the event Joseph is convicted and incarcerated.

At the time, the couple was already facing significant financial pressure.

Kendra had reportedly been selling personal belongings and converting family properties into rentals in an effort to raise money after Joseph’s arrest and subsequent $600,000 bond.

Kendra is also facing child endangerment charges, which could land her in prison for up to four years.

Needless to say, it appears as though the couple is beginning to feel the pressure of their mounting woes, which makes sense, especially after they bore witness to the fate that befell Joseph’s brother.

We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.

Alaska Division of Elections disqualifies challenger to U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan with same name

By: Corinne Smith, Alaska Beacon

The Alaska Division of Elections announced Dan Sullivan of Petersburg is ineligible as a candidate for U.S. Senate and will be removed from the ballot. Officials said his filing was “for the purpose of confusing or misleading voters,” in a final decision issued on Monday.

Dan Sullivan, a retired teacher from Petersburg, filed to run as a Republican for the U.S. Senate in May, which drew immediate criticism and complaints from the Republican incumbent with the same name, U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan, and Republican groups. The Petersburg Sullivan has defended his campaign as genuine.

The division’s ruling follows an investigation announced by Lt. Gov. Nancy Dahlstrom and a preliminary decision last week, citing two complaints by Republican groups, including the Alaska Republican Party, claiming Sullivan was ineligible. The complaints accused the Petersburg Sullivan of misrepresenting himself and intending to mislead voters to the benefit of the Democratic candidate, Mary Peltola.

In a letter on Monday, Carol Beecher, the elections division director, agreed with the complaints.

“On review of the complaints and other information in the Division’s possession, I conclude that your declaration of candidacy was not properly filed with the Division,” she wrote. “Because it was not filed in order to declare an actual good-faith candidacy for the office of United States Senator, but was instead filed with a purpose to confuse or mislead and to thereby compromise the ballot’s fairness or neutrality.”

A spokesperson for the Division of Elections declined to comment on the ruling, explain the other information cited in the letter, or say if similar scrutiny would be applied to the other 14 candidates running for U.S. Senate. “Consistent with our standard practice, we do not discuss ongoing reviews, investigations, or related proceedings,” said Stephen Kirch, public relations manager with the division, by email on Monday.

In the letter, Beecher cited the candidate’s filing under the name “Dan Sullivan” while his voter registration was under the name “Dan J. Sullivan, Jr.” as evidence of an attempt to mislead voters, calling it a “new nickname.”

She said Sullivan had mistakenly requested his name appear on the ballot as “Dan S. Sullivan,” the same name as the incumbent. “Indeed, you yourself appeared to be confused when you initially emailed the Division asking to be listed on the ballot as “Dan S. Sullivan.” “S” is Senator Sullivan’s middle initial, not yours,” she said.

She suggested he was seeking to confuse voters. Beecher raised the same issue with Sullivan registering as a Republican.

In an interview with the Alaska Beacon last week, Sullivan from Petersburg said he was previously affiliated with the Alaska Independence Party. After it disbanded last year, he decided to register and file his candidacy as a Republican, saying he identified as an “old school” centrist Republican like his father and grandfather.

Beecher acknowledged Sullivan had the right to change party affiliation under Alaska law, but rejected the filing as suspicious.

“Of course, under Alaska law, you are free to change your party affiliation. This said, that you chose to change your affiliation to the same political party — one you’d never affiliated with before — as the incumbent Senator immediately before filing a declaration of candidacy in which you asked to access the ballot under the same name – in a shortened form you’d never used before — as the incumbent Senator strongly suggests an intent to confuse yourself with the incumbent Senator rather than to distinguish yourself from him,” she wrote.

Beecher also said the Petersburg Sullivan’s campaign website and logo are similar to the incumbent’s, and said that appears to be “deliberate.” She cited a complaint by the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which works to elect Republicans, who accused the Petersburg Sullivan of working with a political consultant, Amber Lee, to misrepresent his campaign. Beecher did not name the consultant but said she was a “known longtime supporter of Democratic candidates.”

“This consultant’s work on your behalf is, in isolation, innocuous,” Beecher wrote. “Alongside the other facts I have catalogued in this letter, however, it suggests a determined effort and a deliberate attempt to use the similarity of your name to confuse Alaska voters in the upcoming primary election.”

Beecher said she had concluded that Sullivan had not filed in good faith and would be decertified from the election.

“I conclude that the preponderance of the evidence is that you chose this new nickname and party affiliation because that name and party affiliation happen to be the name and party affiliation of another candidate in the race,” she wrote.

The Petersburg Sullivan can appeal within 30 days or challenge the decision in Alaska Superior Court, according to the letter.

He did not respond to calls on Monday about whether he plans to appeal and challenge the ruling.

In a social media post on Sunday that celebrated his 70th birthday ahead of the ruling, the Petersburg Sullivan questioned the premise of the state’s investigation and threats to disqualify him from the ballot.

“Should every American be allowed to run for any political office if they are qualified? Should a candidate’s chances of winning an election disqualify them from trying? Should a person’s given name be a qualifier to be on a ballot? To me it’s not complicated,” he wrote. “I met the qualification and I entered this race because I am unhappy with the 12 year record of the current Senator and I feel we need a change. It’s that simple.”

Members with the re-election campaign for Republican incumbent Sen. Sullivan praised the decision on Monday, thanking Dahlstrom, who oversees Alaska’s elections.

“We thank Lieutenant Governor Dahlstrom for upholding that right and for ensuring Alaskans can choose their next senator without a sham candidate whose primary purpose was to confuse Alaskan voters, treat Alaskans with contempt, and rig the election for Peltola” said Billy Mackey, Senator Sullivan’s campaign manager, in an emailed statement.

Alaska Sen. Forrest Dunbar, D-Anchorage, said in a social media post Monday he had requested a legal review of the division’s decision, saying the reasoning “appears extremely weak.” In another post, Dunbar pointed to U.S. House Rep. Nick Begich III filing for office in 2024 under the same name as his grandfather who also served in the U.S. House, “Nick Begich.”

“I urge folks to set aside their partisan biases and think about the precedent this sets if it is allowed to stand, the authoritarian power we would be handing incumbent administrations to decide who is or is not permitted to run against them or their allies,” Dunbar wrote.

“This started out as sort of a funny curiosity (no offense to Dan J. Sullivan, whom I have never met or spoken to, and probably has good ideas for federal policy). But now the Department of Elections and Lieutenant Governor have made it much more serious — a question about whether or not fully qualified American citizens can appear on a ballot and exercise their First Amendment rights.”

Meet The World Cup Player Who Went From Least Known To Most Interesting Overnight

When an Argentinian commentator called New Zealand defender Tim Payne the “least known player” in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, millions of soccer fans acted as if it were a personal insult and acted on Payne’s behalf. Payne has seen his Instagram following grow from less than 5,000 to more than 5 million since social media personality “El Scarso” called him the tournament’s least-known player in late May. The two have made amends in the time since then, though, with Payne meeting El Scarso earlier in June. Payne even gifted El Scarso a kit, and thanked him for the attention he’s received in a social media post. “The past week has been a crazy ride, but thanks to @elscarso for everything he has done for myself, my family and NZ football,” Payne wrote. “Great meeting you in person today mate.” So, as Payne has quickly become one of the most followed players at the World Cup, here’s what you should know about the New Zealand defender. El Scarso’s comment about Payne actually might have come from a good place. Ahead of the World Cup, El Scarso said he wanted to find a player that would “unite us all.” In order to find that player, El Scarso said he scoured the social media accounts of every player set to play in the World Cup and tried to find which one had the fewest number of followers. “After analyzing them one by one, I found him. In Group G, in New Zealand, there is Tim Payne,” El Scarso said. “He really is the least known. He doesn’t even have 5,000 followers!” A couple of days after El Scarso’s initial comment, Payne thanked the influencer in an Instagram post. “It’s been a crazy 48 hours, to say the least,” Payne said. “I just wanted to also express that I’m very grateful.” Payne made his first cap for New Zealand’s senior squad in 2012, but he hasn’t been a mainstay during that time. The 32-year-old from Auckland, New Zealand, has 52 career caps for his country ahead of New Zealand’s opening matchup in the 2026 World Cup against Iran on Monday. Payne also has three goals during that span. His most recent goal came in New Zealand’s 7-0 win over Fiji in World Cup qualifiers, adding three assists. Payne has been a member of Wellington Phoenix in Australia’s A-League Men since 2019, recording 143 caps and four goals during his time with the team. He’s currently under contract through the 2027-28 season. Prior to joining Wellington Phoenix, Payne played for Eastern Suburbs AFC of New Zealand’s Northern League from 2016-19. He had a stint with the Portland Timbers’ reserve squad for a year in 2015-16 as well. Payne’s 5.8 million Instagram followers as of Tuesday afternoon is a pretty impressive number. However, that number lags a good bit behind some of the most-followed accounts in soccer. Cristiano Ronaldo is the most-followed soccer player on Instagram, holding 666 million followers as of Monday. Lionel Messi has 506 million followers. Still, Payne has become a well-known name among soccer fans online and in New Zealand. He’s among the most-followed Kiwis on Instagram. His 5.7 million followers isn’t too far away from singer Lorde (11 million) as he continues to gain influence.Latest Sports News from FOX Sports

Why Fans Think Bunnie Xo Has Been Quietly Hinting At Trouble In Her Marriage To Jelly Roll For Weeks

Jelly Roll and his wife of nearly 10 years, Bunnie Xo, are going through a divorce, according to reports from TMZ. While this news might be shocking to some fans, others picked up on subtle hints that the Dumb Blonde Podcast host has been dropping on social media for several weeks now.

The outlet reports that the country star filed for divorce in Tennessee in May, citing court records obtained by the publication. That same month is when Bunnie’s cryptic posts began circulating.

First, she started by reposting statements from other creators that suggested something was going on in her personal life, as they clearly expressed hurt and anger.

She reshared quotes like, “Women’s intuition when that shiii don’t add up” and “When that ego wears off someday, I hope you realize the way you handled sh** was emotionally immature, spiritually unaware, narcissistic and lowkey evil as f.”

Bunnie also shared a message from a content creator who said, “You did to me what I never would have done to you. I don’t want any type of friendship. I don’t feel safe having you know anything about me or having any association with me…we’re done there’s no go back, there’s no friendship, there’s nothing.”

Another read, “You gotta be a different type of evil when you know somebody love the fu** out of you and you still drag them through hill…”

In addition to the reposts, Bunnie began making her own somber posts soundtracked by songs like Goo Goo Dolls’ “Name” and Aerosmith’s “What it Takes” with the text “Wild hearts can’t be broken.”

Knowing what they do now, fans have gone back to these videos to comment on the fact that it seems Bunnie was trying to say what was happening without actually saying it.

“She left breadcrumbs, we just missed them” one fan wrote.

Another said, “All the sad songs are making sense now.”

Additionally, on May 28, Bunnie subtly revealed that she had a new home, while showcasing a new painting. However, at the time, users in the comment section did not seem to pick up on that detail of the post.

Just after breaking the news, TMZ shared another article stating movers were at the former couple’s Nashville area home. The photo shows a moving truck parked outside the property as items are loaded in.

Her last post with Jelly Roll on TikTok was shared on May 9 and featured a heartwarming clip of the couple alongside his daughter, Bailee Ann, with the text “Never believed in ever after happily ‘til y’all.” According to the court documents filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, Jell Roll states the couple broke up on May 9. He filed for divorce 9 days later.

Just hours before the shocking news went public, Bunnie took to Instagram to post a story in a pink lingerie set and wrote “She’s getting her sparkle back.” In a separate story, she shared the quote, “Come here, let me show you what love feels like.”

US weekly has since confirmed that Jelly Roll was not wearing his wedding ring during his most recent performance at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium as part of CMA Fest 2026. The last time the couple was seen together publicly was at the 2026 Grammy Awards in February.

The former lovebirds first met in 2015 at one of his concerts on Fremont Street in Las Vegas and went on to marry on August 31, 2016. In 2023, they returned to the Stained Glass Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas where they first said “I do” to renew their vows.

In her new book, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, Bunnie, wrote about their love story and even revealed that they had planned to expand their family. She had been documenting their journey of infidelity, which included finding a surrogate and and going through the process of IVF.

“Now that we’re finally stable financially and somewhat emotionally after all the healing we’ve done over this decade together, we’re talking about the future—including growing our family,” she wrote in the book. “J and I have a surrogate, the sweetest woman ever, and soon I’ll be starting my IVF stims.”

But there’s no denying that their relationship has had plenty of highs and lows, including infidelity. Back in October, when he appeared on the “Human School” podcast, Jelly Roll got candid about the fact that he was unfaithful to his wife. He also said at the time that he had put in the effort to mend his mistakes and as a result, had become “stronger than we could have ever been.”

Despite Bunnie Xo’s cryptic posts, neither she nor Jelly Roll have yet to publicly address the reported filing.
