Lena Dunham has a new memoir out.

And as with everything she does, her fans are ecstatic, and her critics are using it as ammo to hate her even more.

In one of the book’s most controversial passages, Lena reveals that she frequently clashed with her Girls co-star Adam Driver while they were making the show.

In fact, she claims that Driver frequently lost his temper on set, at one point hurling a chair in her general direction.

She also recalled being thrown around by Driver during a sex scene.

Dunham writes in her book that her “careful blocking went out the window and he hurled me this way and that.”

“Stunned, I couldn’t speak for a moment, unsure of what had happened — had I lost directorial authority, allowed the scene to go off the rails, not given proper instructions? Would I be removed from my command post immediately?” she writes, adding:

“It wasn’t that I felt violated — and I also wouldn’t know if I had, as there was little in my sexual life that I hadn’t allowed to happen, and for no pay. But I felt that something intimate, confusing and primal had played out in a scenario I was meant to control.”

Elsewhere in the book, Lena wrote of her troubled romantic relationship with Bleachers frontman and acclaimed music producer Jack Antonoff.

Dunham writes that her connection with another man — a boyfriend from her youth — never fully disappeared, even while she was committed to Antonoff.

“I had observed careful boundaries, never taking it far enough that I could be declared out of bounds,” she wrote.

At the same time, she acknowledges that those boundaries may not have been as clear-cut as she believed:

“If I’d wanted to look, perhaps I may have seen that Jack was not observing them as closely as I was.”

She also admits that, despite being in a relationship, her behavior didn’t fully align with that commitment.

“I never stopped flirting,” Dunham wrote.

She said that a hysterectomy “changed the game” in late 2017, and she wrote to a former middle school boyfriend named Nick “with impunity, saying l’d just had major surgery and I needed to be cheered up. ‘Meet me by the bridge? Bring me a stuffed animal?’ I got an answer back in less than a minute: ‘I’m already running.’”

Lena concluded the anecdote by explaining that she “was ready to do adultery.”

These days, Lena is married to Luis Felber, and Jack is married to Margaret Qualley.

Trump’s latest elections order is an unlawful assault on Alaska’s elections

On March 31, President Trump issued a new executive order on citizenship records and mail‑in ballots entitled “Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections.” The order has nothing to do with election integrity — the name is like “Newspeak,” Orwell’s fictional language for a totalitarian state. It is an unlawful attempt to seize control of how Alaskans vote and to make an error‑ridden federal database the gatekeeper of our ballots.

Ever since statehood Alaska has built an election system that reflects our geography and our values. By‑mail and absentee voting are not mere conveniences here; they are how thousands of our neighbors who live in remote areas accessible only by air or sea participate in democracy at all. Yet the president now proposes to tell Alaska when and to whom we may send ballots by mail, based not on Alaska law, but on whether a voter’s name appears on a new federal “citizenship list.”

The order directs the Department of Homeland Security to compile state‑by‑state rosters of presumed U.S. citizens eligible to vote in federal elections and then directs the Postal Service to withhold mail ballots from anyone not on those lists. In one stroke, the president purports to rewrite who may receive a ballot by mail, how ballots travel through the postal system and which government gets the last word on whether an Alaskan can vote. That authority does not belong to him.

The U.S. Constitution is explicit in this matter. It reads in pertinent part: “The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections . . .shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations . . .”   Alaska’s Legislature has determined who may vote absentee, how those ballots are requested and mailed, and how they are counted. An executive order that conditions ballot delivery on a federally controlled citizenship list displaces those laws with presidential preference. That is not faithful execution of the law; it is legislation by directive. And it is patently unconstitutional.

The order also collides with bedrock principles of federalism. The federal government may not simply commandeer state election officials or local postmasters to administer a new federal scheme that overrides state choices about mail voting. By insisting that Alaska adapt its procedures to match a federal citizenship database that we did not design, do not control and cannot effectively challenge, the administration seeks to turn state election workers into unwilling agents of a national policy they never adopted.

Even if the president had such power—which he does not—the policy itself is dangerously unsound. The citizenship records he proposes to rely on are notoriously unreliable. Federal and state databases routinely misclassify naturalized citizens as non‑citizens, lag months or years behind status changes, and contain basic errors in names, dates of birth and addresses. Tying ballot delivery to a single “State Citizenship List” assembled from these imperfect sources is a recipe for widespread disenfranchisement.

Those errors will not fall evenly. Naturalized citizens, Alaska Natives whose names and records do not conform to federal bureaucratic expectations and rural voters with inconsistent or non‑standard addresses are all especially vulnerable to being left off or misflagged in a national database. If the Postal Service is instructed not to send a ballot unless it can confirm a match on that list, many eligible Alaskans will simply never receive a ballot at all.

In urban areas, some voters might fall back on in‑person early voting or Election Day polling places. In much of Alaska, that is unrealistic. An elder in a village accessible only by plane or boat, a deployed service member relying on an overseas ballot or a college student temporarily out of state cannot easily “work around” a missing ballot. For them, the executive order does not mean extra paperwork. It means no vote.

The order also offers no meaningful, timely remedy for those wrongly excluded. By the time a voter discovers that no ballot has arrived and tries to untangle why their name is missing from a federal citizenship list, the election may be over. We will never know how many voices were silenced by database error rather than voter choice.

Alaska has used absentee and by‑mail voting for years without any evidence of widespread non‑citizen voting or ballot fraud. Our challenges are logistical, not criminal: weather, distance and infrastructure, not hordes of ineligible voters swamping the polls. Imposing a rigid, centralized federal screen on top of that system does nothing to address real problems, and threatens to create a new one that is far worse: a loss of confidence that ballots will arrive at all.

Let’s not attempt to dress this order up as a mere “data‑sharing” exercise rather than the federal takeover it truly is.

Jelly Roll’s dramatic weight loss is no secret.

The controversial musician has even boasted about how is sex life has improved since he began using GLP-1 medications.

But his wife says that her husband’s weight loss came with “tricky” side effects on his libido.

‘It’s not shocking libido dips too’

In an interview with Playboy published on Tuesday, April 14, Bunnie Xo said that her husband had “slow[ed] down” in the bedroom after losing 300 pounds.

“When it comes to sex, slowing down after weight loss and Ozempic can be tricky,” she advised.

“Big body changes mess with your head and hormones,” Bunnie explained.

“Add a medication that blunts appetite,” she reasoned, “and it’s not shocking libido dips too.”

According to Bunnie: “It’s likely an adjustment period, not a permanent shift.”

This is not Bunnie’s first time speaking bluntly about her husband and how their sex life has changed.

In February, she revealed that Jelly Roll’s penis has become “severely bigger” since his weight loss journey began back in 2022.

(To be clear, it is not that the actual organ has changed size — beyond the normal size change of an erection. But the human body will store fat in the groin, essentially like making a tree appear shorter by raising the ground around it. A vulva can also change appearance with weight change.)

“I will tell you that it is very true that when a man loses weight, it grows a lot,” she dished on The Howard Stern Show.

Bunnie then joked: “Oh god, he’s gonna kill me.”

‘I was married to a smoke show, and I was still struggling’

Rather than murder his wife, Jelly Roll has actually also spoken on the topic.

According to him, he experienced impotence prior to his dramatic weight loss.

He said that the blame was on his hormone levels, which he likened to those of a “preteen boy.” He likely meant prepubescent.

“You can’t get it up without T. I was married to a smoke show, and I was still struggling,” Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, confessed to Men’s Health in January 2026.

Since his dramatic body transformation, he claimed, sex has become “a totally different thing” in their marriage.

He characterized his rejuvenated sex drive with enthusiasm.

“I’m chasing her around the house, you know what I’m saying?” DeFord gushed. “I’m like a teenage kid again!”

He then made a genuinely comical reference: “I’m like the Pink Panther. I bust out of every corner.”

DeFord described: “And she opens the cabinet, and I go, ‘Hi!’”

Presumably he is not literally hiding in cabinets. Even with his body transformation, most adults cannot do so comfortably.

At the Grammy Awards, a reporter asked Jelly Roll about the ongoing ICE siege of American cities.

DeFord sputtered at the time, making self-deprecating statements and vowing to have a response within the week.

We just checked our watch, and … yeah, he missed his self-imposed deadline.

With that in mind, perhaps this couple would prefer that people speak about Jelly Roll’s penis’ past performance issues rather than about the current questions about his character.

It isn’t difficult to condemn the Trump regime’s terror squads — unless you don’t want to. It really seems like he doesn’t want to.

What to Expect at Country Splash: A Conversation with Co-Founder Robert Fried

The announcement of Country Splash, the first-ever multi-day country music festival on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, made waves with its star-studded lineup and luxury destination offerings.

With anticipation continuing to build, excitement is reaching a new level for Country Splash as hotel and villa packages, along with festival Splash Passes, are officially on sale now. As fans begin locking in their plans, many are starting to wonder exactly what’s in store for the upcoming experience.

We caught up with co-founder Robert Fried, who offered insight into the vision behind the festival and what attendees can look forward to over Labor Day weekend in Cabo.

From Global Travel to Music Festival Vision

Before launching Country Splash, Fried built his career in the travel space, running an international company that brings more than 100,000 students to the U.S. each year. He later expanded into the domestic college market, creating spring and fall break trips to destinations like Cabo, Punta Cana, and Miami, where he began incorporating live music and large-scale DJ performances into the experience.

For Country Splash, he’s teamed up with partners involved in producing large-scale music festivals across the U.S. and Mexico, combining their expertise to deliver a one-of-a-kind music and travel experience.

The Moment Country Splash Was Born

Fried’s love for country music began at the first-ever Stagecoach Festival in 2007, where he was immediately drawn to the people attending.

“We went to the RV campgrounds and everyone was so nice and welcoming, throwing you a beer, come hang out, that the people attracted me to it. And then going in and seeing the festival, I then fell in love with country music.”

It was in that moment that Fried began envisioning what would eventually become Country Splash.

“We were in an inflatable pool that you filled up with the water tanks on the RV campground, listening to country music playlists and saying, ‘What could be better than country music and water with friends and a drink in your hand?’ And so it kind of really started there,” he explained.

Fried says the vision is to attract both longtime country fans and newcomers, creating an experience where people can connect with the music while also embracing the destination and elevated guest experience.

After more than a decade in the making, Country Splash will finally come to life September 4-6, led by headliners Riley Green, Jon Pardi, Tucker Wetmore, and Diplo, with additional performances from Cameron Whitcomb, Dasha, LOCASH, Zach John King, Blake Whiten, Lauren Watkins, Jacob Hackworth, Vavo, Dee Jay Silver, and ADHD. More artists are expected to be announced.

Why Cabo? A World-Class Destination

So why Cabo? Fried says it’s simple.

“Cabo itself is just such a top tier beach destination. I grew up going to Hawaii with my family every summer, and now I love going to Cabo. [I’m] not diminishing Hawaii in any way, because Hawaii is amazing and I still go back, but Cabo is an easier flight. And the level of service in Cabo is quite frankly unparalleled. It’s equal to any place I’ve ever been anywhere in the world. The people are amazing. The level of service and hospitality is amazing. And over the last 10 years, really, the destination has been developed so much that you have Michelin star restaurants, you’ve got every top tier hotel brand. The training and concierge level service of the people and the staff down there makes it a destination that people want to travel to, and it’s only growing…So what could be better than a world-class destination like Cabo with a high level of service that I was looking for mixed with country music on the beach?”

Filling a Gap in West Coast Country Festivals

Fried says Country Splash is designed to fill a major gap in the market, offering a beachside country music experience on the West Coast where few, if any, similar festivals exist. He also noted that events like Tortuga, Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa, and Alan Jackson’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere Fest have primarily catered to fans on the East Coast.

“But if you look at it from Texas west, there really aren’t many, if any, destinations to be able to do country music on a beach…Cabo really is the premium destination for beachfront service in Mexico. And so given that we were already doing events down in Cabo, it seemed like the right destination.”

A True VIP Experience

Country Splash promises a high-end experience where every fan is treated like a VIP, and for some, that begins the moment they board a flight to Cabo. The festival is offering a limited number of exclusive one-way flights departing from San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Dallas. For those traveling separately, the VIP experience begins as soon as they land.

“I think part of the excitement starts when you get to the airport. You leave your house and you’re excited, you get to the airport. And if you’re meeting other people from the very beginning, that excitement just elevates…And then for people who don’t purchase those exclusive flights, from the second you land in Cabo and walk out the doors at the airport, you’re going to have our greeters and our social ambassadors meet you, giving you drinks, getting you on your transportation, and really starting that experience off on the right foot.”

Social Ambassadors and Elevated Guest Service

Upon arrival, attendees will be greeted by the festival’s Social Ambassadors, who will help bring the experience to life all weekend long. Fried shared that his background in travel inspired this next-level guest experience.

“In travel, you’d call them tour guides, but for us, we call them social ambassadors,” he said.

These Social Ambassadors will essentially deliver a high-end concierge service, and according to Fried, they won’t just be stationed at a help desk.

“You will have people greeting you that are amping up the experience and making sure that you have fun, people that when you’re looking for someone to take a picture for you and your group that they’re there, someone that you can ask questions to about anything, and they’re not going to be at a desk. They’re going to be amongst you. They’re going to be walking around, you’re going to know their names.”

A Fully Curated Festival Experience

Throughout the festival, attendees will experience elevated touches like cold towels upon arrival and popsicles or ice cream at pool parties, creating a fully curated music vacation from start to finish.

“One of our slogans is no fields, no fences, no distance stages. And we really want to make sure that everyone who comes feels like they’re up close and personal in an intimate environment where they’re not watching their favorite performer from a screen half a mile away. They’re watching it up close and personal and they’re really getting the full experience of their favorite country artists.”

A Blend of Country and EDM

The lineup blends country superstars, rising talent, and YeeDM acts (a fusion of country and electronic dance music) and that balance was intentional. Fried designed the festival to offer more than just traditional performances, with programming that spans the entire day, including morning artist-led wellness sessions, daytime pool parties, sunset acoustic sets, and main stage shows on the beach each night.

“I think there’s a new age of country music fan that’s coming into the genre. And that’s one thing that I think the lineup and the pool party and the YeeDM DJs address. We wanted to, of course, make sure that we’re catering to the traditional country fan. And you got that with our main stage lineup and performers,” he said. “But also there’s a whole generation that was raised on EDM and loving dance music…And that’s someone that we absolutely want to speak to and attract to this event.”

More Than a Festival

Beyond the music, Fried says the vacation element is a huge draw, from elevated dining experiences to golf excursions, deep sea fishing, yacht rentals, and more, all contributing to what he describes as a “full vacation experience.”

“It’s a beachfront destination. Going down to the beach and relaxing on the sand is something that I think is undervalued in just having a destination that you can enjoy yourself at, relax, and also have a fun party experience,” he shared, adding, “I think all of it is equal parts, country music, destination, and the guest experience.”

How To Book Packages

Guests now have the opportunity to book hotel and villa packages, along with a limited number of individual Splash Passes.

Fried acknowledged that while the festival leans into a “luxury” experience, the goal is to deliver real value. He explained that once fans see everything included, from hotel stays and transportation to concierge service and a premium open bar, they’ll realize the overall cost is comparable, if not more affordable, than piecing together a similar trip on their own.

“I somewhat struggled with how we used the word luxury because luxury typically implies high priced,” he said. “And I think that once people understand all that is included with the packages, they’re actually going to say, ‘Wow, this is an amazing price.’ And so that’s part of the challenge for us is making sure we educate and communicate our guests as to everything that’s included in these packages from the hotel stay, the concierge service, social ambassadors, round trip transportation.”

He continued, “Other places may include well alcohol for an all inclusive, we’re going to have a premium open bar. And so to make sure, again, to elevate those higher end touch points so that you’re coming to a high end destination, you’re experiencing high end elevated world-class country music. And so the alcohol and the food experiences are also at that top tier as well. And so I think that people will be surprised when they break it down at the affordability of the packages, even though the sticker price might look high, when you start adding things up and you say, ‘Wait a second, all I have to do is buy the flight and pretty much everything else is included? I would’ve ended up spending way more than that if I went to another festival.’”

The Long-Term Vision

At the end of the day, Fried’s main goal is to deliver a top-notch guest experience that combines country music and the beach, and keeps fans coming back year after year.

“If you got country music, you got a drink in your hand, you’re with your friends and you got water, anything else on top of that is an amazing experience,” he said.

“We want to make sure that everyone wants to come back to Cabo every Labor Day weekend and have this amazing experience.”

‘Baby Jessica’ Arrested for Assault 39 Years After Famous Rescue

In 1987, the story of Jessica McClure Morales’ harrowing rescue from a narrow well captivated the nation.

At the time, she was known as “Baby Jessica.”

On Saturday, April 11, police arrested the now adult woman. She is charged with assault causing bodily injury involving family violence.

She was released from jail on bond, leaving everyone who remembers her story to ask what exactly happened.

This is an unexpected development

The now 40-year-old Jessica McClure Morales was been arrested in Midland County, Texas.

Her arrest follows a domestic dispute between her and her husband.

She is now facing an assault charge.

Despite her rise to fame as an 18-month-old, she appears to have led a fairly normal life.

Until now, that is. An arrest following a domestic dispute may be banal, but it’s not really normal.

TMZ got a look at the probable cause affidavit for Jessica’s arrest.

Police said that, on Saturday, April 11, she and her husband got into an intense verbal argument.

This took place in front of a child.

During the confrontation, Jessica told police, she allegedly scratched him while attempting to shove him away from her.

There is, however, a conflicting version of events.

It’s unclear who this witness is, but …

According to police records, a witness told them that Jessica and her husband were having a verbal spat in front of a child.

Someone — it is unclear whether or not this was the witness — advised them to not fight in front of the child.

Jessica’s husband allegedly said: “F–k that.”

This, according to the witness, is when Jessica allegedly grabbed him by the throat.

The witness reported that it was Jessica’s husband who shoved her away, which then led her to trip over the child.

If you need a refresher, no one would blame you. 1987 was a normal amount of time ago, not ancient history, but a lot has happened in the world in these last 39 years.

18-month-old Jessica and her family were visiting her aunt in Midland. She fell down a narrow well on the property, falling 22 feet.

It took a massive concerted effort — over an excruciating 58 hours — to free her.

Though she went on to make public appearances as a preschooler, even meeting the president (but it was H.W. Bush so, not really exciting), she has lived a normal life since then.

Until now, as we mentioned. There are still a lot of details missing from this distressing story.

Johnson, a Grand Ole Opry member since 2022, has built a reputation for his traditional country sound and songwriting over the past two decades. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of his major label debut, The Dollar.
