Is this just the right time for her and her old screen partner, Tom Cruise, to pair up?

A new report claims that they’re both open to dating

According to a report from The National Enquirer, Meg Ryan might actually be open to working with the polarizing A-lister.

She and Tom Cruise have actually worked together.

(Some of us know her best from her role as Dr. Blight on Captain Planet, but she also appeared in the 1986 Top Gun)

An alleged source reported that Ryan “would jump at the chance to work with Tom again.”

The insider then claimed: “She’s a huge fan of his and always assumed they’d do another project together at some point.”

“A lot of people in their worlds think they’d make a great couple,” the supposed source reported.

According to the alleged insider: “The respect and admiration is there.”

The source went on: “And Meg is definitely sweet on Tom and vice versa.”

That is interesting to hear. The two actors have not co-starred in anything since the 1980s.

According to the insider: “It’s a no-brainer.”

They ARE both single, it’s believed

“Both of them have had some serious bad luck, romance-wise,” the source then characterized.

Meg Ryan spent nearly a decade in an on-again, off-again relationship with musician John Mellencamp. It ended in 2019.

Meanwhile, Cruise has struck out pretty famously with some relationships.

Whether his work schedule, his larger-than-life-personality, or his alarming “poster boy” status with the Scientology organization are the cause remains a topic of debate.

Most recently, of course, he and Ana de Armas were in an 8-month relationship. That nonsense came to a screeching halt in October 2025.

Allegedly, mutual friends would love to see these two get together 40 years after Top Gun.

“If one of them would pick up the phone and make the first move, though,” the supposed inside source proposed.

The insider then suggested: “Tom and Meg might finally find what they’re looking for in each other.”

Cruise’s last girlfriend was someone who wasn’t even born when he and Ryan last shared the big screen.

Is an age-appropriate A-lister what he’s after? Only he can answer that.

Will they date?

Obviously, we cannot verify this report.

It’s possible that a real inside close to one or both of these actors made these claims, but they didn’t make them to us.

Hopefully, Meg Ryan is wise enough to stay far away from one of the planet’s most notorious Scientologists. (Second only to David Miscavige, of course)

Meanwhile, there’s no way to even guess what’s going on in Cruise’s mind. Stunt rehearsals, maybe?

That said, many suspect that his ego is a little bruised after getting dumped. That’s actually pretty normal.

We have sad news to report from the world of fashion today.

Legendary designer Valentino Garavani has passed away at the age of 93.

Garavani was the founder of the iconic Valentino brand.

News of his death comes courtesy of his brand’s Instagram page:

“Our founder, Valentino Garavani passed away today at his Roman residence, surrounded by his loved ones. The lying in state will be held at PM23 in Piazza Mignanelli 23 on Wednesday January 21st and Thursday January 22nd, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm,” reads the latest post on the page.

“The funeral will take place on Friday, January 23rd at the Basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri, in Piazza della Repubblica 8 in Rome, at 11 am.”

Born Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani in 1932, Valentino studied fashion at the École des Beaux-Arts and the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris before apprenticing with Balenciaga.

Friends with such Hollywood luminaries as Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Kidman, and Anne Hathaway, Valentino was the subject of an acclaimed 2008 documentary about his life and career.

“I know what women want,” he said in Valentino: The Last Emperor, adding, “They want to be beautiful.”

On X (formerly Twitter), numerous fashion aficionados have paid tribute to the late designer:

“Valentino really was the last of that sort of post mid century couture design set that rose to popularity in the 60’s. I love his work in the 60’s the best, he was really able to quickly distinguish himself from the rest of the Italian designers,” wrote one user.

“We’ve lost another fashion legend, rest in peace Valentino Garavani, his legacy in the fashion world will always be remembered,” another added.

“Valentino Garavani, truly ‘The Last Emperor,’ has died,” a third chimed in.

No cause of death has been made public.

Kourtney Kardashian deserves our recognition and respect this week.

While celebrating the launch of sister Khloe Kardashian’s latest Khloud popcorn flavor (yes, that’s a real thing) a few days ago, the Poosh founder revealed a quasi secret that we’re pretty sure most of the public had been unaware of:

She hasn’t had an alcoholic drink in three years.

In a video posted to her Instagram Stories on January 16 16, Kardashian was presented with the food brand’s latest truffle white cheddar popcorn.

To pair with the snack item, the mother of four was offered a gin mocktail.

“@Khloudfoods @KhloeKardashian def told them I haven’t drank alcohol in 3 years,” Kourtney wrote over the post. “Fancy Friday.”

We had no idea.

At the conclusion of the aforementioned video, Kourtney — who shares kids Mason Disick, 16, Penelope Disick, 13, and Reign Disick, 11, with ex Scott Disick … as well as son Rocky Barker, 2, with husband Travis Barker –raised her glass and simply said:

“Cheers!”

Kardashian also recently revealed she’s Botox-free, but that’s a very different kind of admission.

It seems relevant to note that Disick — whose battle with alcoholism has been publicly documented since his time on reality television — previously shared how he explains his past struggles with alcohol abuse to the pair’s oldest son Mason.

“The truth is, I do explain to Mason how drinking affected me and how badly it put me in certain places, and he knows that,” Disick said in a January 2025 episode of Khloé in Wonder Land.

“And he for a while thought I would treat him differently because of that. And I said, ‘I’m not treating you any different because of my mistakes or how I lived.’”

Added Disick back then of what he relayed to Mason:

“‘But if I see a problem with alcohol with you, I will take actions. You’re gonna try drinking when you’re gonna try drinking. But if I see a problem that’s hereditary then I’ll jump in. But until then, you’re treated like every other kid.’”
