Jelly Roll returned to the stage on Tuesday night, just one day after reports of his divorce filing from Bunnie Xo dominated headlines and sparked buzz online.

During his performance at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, the country star appeared focused on the music, but fans quickly took notice of a powerful message displayed on the back of the jacket he wore onstage.

In photos shared by the official Jelly Roll HQ Instagram account, the GRAMMY-winning artist can be seen sporting a jacket featuring a quote from Mother Teresa. The message centers on the strength people can find through faith, unity, and supporting one another during difficult times.

It reads, “There is a tremendous strength that is growing in the world through sharing together, praying together, suffering together, and working together.”

The quote certainly caught attention given the timing. While it’s unclear whether Jelly Roll intentionally chose to wear the message as public interest in his divorce continues to dominate online conversation, it didn’t go unnoticed by fans.

Jelly Roll has long been open about his faith, personal struggles, and the importance of leaning on others through life’s challenges, which makes the message feel especially fitting either way.

Just one day before his performance alongside Post Malone in Toronto, it was revealed that Jelly Roll filed for divorce in Tennessee on May 18. TMZ broke the news, reporting that sources close to the former couple said the split was a mutual decision.

The “Save Me” singer, 41, filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, with court records showing the couple separated on May 9. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.

Fans also noticed a quiet change on Jelly Roll’s Instagram profile this week. His bio previously included a lock and key emoji alongside Bunnie XO’s Instagram handle, @xomgitsbunnie. It has since been updated to simply read “Music Man,” followed by a link to his recent tour dates and tickets.

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, and Bunnie XO, born Alisa DeFord, tied the knot on Aug. 30, 2016. The filing comes just ahead of what would have been their 10th wedding anniversary.

One of the couple’s final public appearances together was earlier this year at the GRAMMY Awards, where Jelly Roll publicly thanked her during his acceptance speech.

“I want to thank my beautiful wife,” the Grand Ole Opry member shared from the stage. “I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail. I would have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus. I thank you for that.”

Despite the personal news, Jelly Roll is continuing his busy touring schedule. He’s scheduled to bring his Little ASS Shed Tour to Saratoga Springs, NY tonight, followed by stops in Bangor, ME on June 20, Gilford, NH on June 21, and more dates to come.

The proposed trans-Alaska natural gas pipeline project would generate an average of almost $800 million per year for the state treasury for 30 years starting in 2033, according to a new estimate from the Alaska Department of Revenue that includes a proposed tax break approved by the state House.

Dan Stickel, the department’s chief economist, presented the estimate to the Senate Finance Committee on Monday, days after the Alaska House of Representatives approved that significant property tax break for the project.

The Senate committee is now considering House Bill 381, containing the tax break.

According to the DOR estimate, the state stands to collect $23.4 billion through 2062 if the tax break becomes law and the pipeline is built as expected. Borough governments would share $7.8 billion during the same period.

The project would create indirect benefits as well, employing as many as 12,000 people during the peak of construction, according to the project’s developer.

As currently planned, the Alaska LNG project would include an 807-mile pipeline from the North Slope to the Kenai Peninsula. At the north end of the pipeline would be a processing plant that takes raw gas and prepares it for shipment. At the south end would be a liquefaction facility that prepares the gas for tankers that could ship it around the world.

Under existing law, the pipeline and North Slope plant are subject to a 2% property tax, shared by the state and boroughs along the project’s route. The tax would be imposed as soon as construction is finished.

Glenfarne, the international firm developing Alaska LNG, has called the tax unaffordable and wants it to be lowered in order to attract investors who would ultimately pay for construction.

Under the version of HB 381 passed by the House, the property tax would be replaced with a tax on gas shipped through the pipeline.

The state would still collect production taxes, royalties and other fees associated with gas production.

Alaska House advances gas pipeline tax break to state Senate for further work

Glenfarne owns 75% of the project. The remaining 25% is held by the state-owned Alaska Gasline Development Corp., and the state could collect additional revenue depending on its ownership share after investors take their slices of the project.

The biggest effect of the proposed tax break would be to reduce the price at which Alaska natural gas would need to be sold in order to make the pipeline profitable.

Under the current tax system, that “break-even” price is $9.07 per thousand cubic feet of gas in 2033, Stickel said. That’s when exports are set to begin. Under the House-passed bill, it drops to $8.57 per thousand cubic feet.

“That is a material change,” Stickel said, “not quite as much of a decrease as the original version of the bill introduced by the governor, but still a very significant tax relief that would impact the project economics.”

Demand for natural gas is highest in Asia, and current prices are above $16 per thousand cubic feet. If the pipeline were operating today, the Department of Revenue estimates that Alaska gas could be exported to Japan for $7.21 per thousand cubic feet.

The price of Asian gas is expected to drop significantly when the Iran war ends, and experts have published widely differing estimates for the expected competitive price of gas in the 2030s.

As a result, it isn’t clear how profitable the pipeline would be if built.

“There is a significant degree of uncertainty around whether the AKLNG project proceeds either with or without the tax relief,” Stickel said.

Brad Tursi’s second solo album, Colorado, began with a trip to a cabin in the mountains, a star-filled sky, and the woman who inspired nearly every song on the project. Out now, the 11-track collection traces the journey of falling in love, getting married, and building a life with his wife, Roxy.

The project also offers fans a deeper look into Tursi’s world, building on the vulnerability and self-reflection that was first introduced on his debut solo album, Parallel Love.

Tursi spent nearly two decades helping soundtrack other people’s lives, penning hits as a member of Old Dominion and establishing himself as one of Nashville’s most respected songwriters. But through his solo work, he’s carving out space to tell his own story, resulting in his most personal collection of songs to date.

Colorado was entirely self-produced and largely self-written. The album opens with one of Tursi’s favorite tracks, “Ms. Independent,” a song that began as a lighthearted joke between him and his then-girlfriend. While discussing her fiercely independent nature, he came up with the opening lines, noting how the woman who once preferred to be on her own had become someone who never wanted to spend another night apart. Realizing there was a song hidden in the moment, Tursi turned the idea into the perfect introduction to the album.

“I think I just started singing that first line kidding around. And then I thought to myself, actually, that’s kind of a good idea. So I ended up finishing this song. And again, I feel like just having that first song, it just tells the audience about the woman that I’m in love with,” he shared with Country Now. “Everyone that falls in love and ends up getting married, you have to learn to coexist and you have to give up a little of yourself and also realize that you maybe are dependent on this other person now. So again, just another little snapshot of a moment in the progression from love to marriage.”

When Tursi began thinking about the kind of stories he wanted to tell this time around, it only felt natural to write about the things that inspire him most, which often tends to be his other half.

“There was just so many monumental moments in life following in love and getting married and just a lot of different realizations I had was going through personally that allowed me to take that next step in life. And those moments are pretty poignant. I guess that was at the top of the brain every morning when you pick up the guitar and see if you got anything that day.”

While Roxy had no problem being the muse behind an entire album, Tursi admits her dad may have been the project’s biggest fan. Not only are many of the songs inspired by his daughter, but the album is also named after Colorado, the state he calls home and a place that has become special to Tursi and Roxy throughout their relationship.

“I think she likes it pretty good. Her dad likes it even more…I think he can’t believe that all these songs are about his daughter and then they showcase his hometown too. But she’s been great and she was even in some of those videos with me and she’s got her own career too in publishing, but she’s been a great supporter through the entire thing,” he proudly stated.

Another highlight is his latest single, “Time With You” ft. Lukas Nelson. Warm guitar plucks set the tone for the track as the pair ultimately arrive at the conclusion that nothing is more valuable than spending time with the person you love.

Tursi was impressed with Nelson’s guitar work from the first moment he saw him play at Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday party at the Hollywood Bowl. He attended the celebration alongside Old Dominion and was instantly amazed by what he saw on stage, leading him to connect with the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter back in Nashville.

“They just got us together in a co-write and that was the first song we wrote together, just him and I,” he explained. “I think it came out cool. It’s a little kind of a different song. You don’t get a lot of ragtime these days in modern country music.”

At its core, Colorado serves as a musical snapshot of a real-life love story, balancing playful moments with heartfelt reflections as Brad Tursi documents the journey of two lives gradually becoming one.

He expressed his hope that when fans listen to Colorado from top to bottom that the come away feeling like they got to see a different side to him, one that is separated from his work with Old Dominion.

Looking ahead, he hopes to get even more solo music out and is confident there will be another record down the line.

“It’s here to stay,” Tursi said confidently.

“I’m excited for more people to get to know it,” he continued. “I’ve walked very far down this road with Old Dominion and God, I’ve been in bands since I was 15 years old. So to start new again is insane to thing to do, but I’m excited for it.”

Midtown Manhattan is at a standstill today, thanks to a parade celebrating the New York Knicks’ first championship in 53 years!

For obvious reasons, the team’s biggest stars, including Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, and Karl-Anthony Towns, have been anointed the new kings of the city.

But as Towns’ and his fiancee, socialite Jordyn Woods, can attest, the spoils of victory came at a tremendous price.

In a recent interview, Towns discussed a controversial speech delivered by Knicks owner James Dolan.

Dolan suggested that his players might want to take after the ancient Spartans and abstain from sex during the season.

Not surprisingly, this suggestion didn’t sit well with several members of the Knicks roster.

“I will definitely say, when I came home, and I told my fiancée what he said, she didn’t like to hear that one,” Towns shared on “The Howard Stern Show” this week.

Asked by Stern if he and Jordyn adhered to the new rule, Towns kept things PG, saying, “I would say she’s very happy.”

Dolan’s … unusual suggestion to his players was first revealed on Brunson and Josh Hart’s “Roommates” podcast.

“You don’t have to give up sex for the next 10 weeks, but like Spartans — do you know what Spartans are? They denied themselves so that they could have an edge. Get the edge,” Dolan said, adding:

“Go home, talk to your wives,” Dolan said. “Don’t tell them you’re not going to have sex, and don’t tell them it was my idea.”

“But let them know what this is going to be like, what your commitment is going to be like, and how they’re going to have to sacrifice too.”

Thankfully, Karl didn’t take the advice to heart. He and Jordyn got engaged earlier this year, and she paid loving tribute to her lanky boo after the Knicks polished off the San Antonio Spurs four games to one in the NBA Finals:

“To my soon-to-be husband and best friend: you did it. I couldn’t be more proud of you,” she wrote, adding:

“Watching the humility you’ve carried through every high and low, the way you put your faith before everything else, the sacrifices you’ve made, and the joy you’ve brought to every moment has been so inspiring. No ego. Just hard work, gratitude, and an unwavering belief.

“What a journey this has been for us. You always said, ‘When I get my ring, I’ll get you yours,’ and somehow it happened exactly that way. Two rings in one year.”

It’s gonna be hard to top 2026. But something tells us Jordyn and Karl will keep trying.
