It’s been nearly three weeks since Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her home in Tucson.

And it seems that Donald Trump is sick of hearing about the whole thing.

Speaking with reporters on Friday, the president made some surprising remarks about the ongoing investigation.

“We have to start reporting on other subjects also, and see what happens,” Trump said (via Radar Online), adding:

“It’s a very sad situation.”

When reached for comment, the White House directed reporters to remarks made by Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on February 10.

“Prayers of this entire White House are with Savannah and her family at this time,” Leavitt said during the White House press conference on that day.

Trump’s sudden indifference toward Nancy’s disappearance came as a surprise to many.

The president, of course, has a long history of making incendiary comments about topical issues.

For example, Trump trashed Rob Reiner on multiple occasions after the legendary director was murdered in December of last year.

But in his past comments on Nancy’s disappearance, Trump has expressed sympathy for her family.

And shortly after news of the kidnapping went public, Trump contacted Savannah Guthrie and promised her the full support of the federal government.

For that reason, Trump’s dismissive remarks today came as a shock.

But it’s possible that the president thinks that he’s benefiting the investigation by encouraging the media to focus on other things.

On Thursday, TMZ received another ransom note from people claiming to be Nancy’s kidnappers.

The note was forwarded to the FBI, and the details are being kept secret for security reasons.

But one employee of the outlet explained that the kidnappers complained about media scrutiny of the case in their note.

“This is a very elaborate demand that involves the media, directly involves the media,” TMZ’s Charles Latibeaudiere told NewsNation.

“In fact, it puts the media reporting on this case as a trigger into their payment. It is a very bizarre and complex caper that they’ve sort of created here. I don’t know. When I looked at it, I thought … ‘This is too detailed.’”

So is Trump trying to help by directing the media’s attention toward other matters?

We may never know. But his about-face on this matter has caught many observers off guard.

Cancer screenings are important — especially when the results aren’t good.

Actress Christy Carlson Romano is a former child star, a Broadway performer, and a singer.

She is perhaps best known for voicing the titular character in Kim Possible.

Now, she’s opening up about her “not negative” cancer screening.

‘Mine did not come back negative’

In a recent Instagram post, Romano shared a video and a health update.

She and her husband, Brendan Rooney, recently went through cancer screenings. She knows that her family has a history of the disease.

Romano shared that her mother had “beat it” after a cancer diagnosis. Her father, on the other hand, “eventually didn’t.”

Additionally, her maternal grandmother died of lung cancer.

Cancer screenings are always a good idea for those with access to healthcare — especially those who may have inherited risk factors on both sides.

“My husband’s [results] came back completely negative,” Romano shared with her fans and followers.

She even detailed that their results had come back while she was filming in Florida.

After a pause, the clearly emotional Romano revealed: “Mine did not come back negative.”

It’s clear that she’s waiting for more details, which will of course require additional testing.

In the mean time, Romano revealed, she is “fighting with companies to get” the necessary scans “covered.” The depravity of for-profit health insurance companies is well-known.

She shared further details in her caption

“Right now the news is that something is going on,” Romano wrote alongside her video.

“I’m nervous and a bit scared (heck who wouldn’t be!),” she admitted.

“I’m going in for a PET scan later this week,” Romano revealed.

(PET stands for “positron emission tomography” and this common imaging technique is used to both diagnose and manage cancer treatments — among many other things)

“And hopefully,” she expressed, “it’s something easy to treat.” We hope so, too!

“I debated whether or not I was going to post this,” Romano admitted, “because I was afraid I’d come off ‘cringe.’”

She explained: “But I decided it was my duty to share, so that people get out there and get screenings.”

Romano encouraged: “Let’s keep the good vibes going.”

Her caption concluded with a promise: “I will keep you all posted as I get more information.”

Naturally, encouragement — some in words, some in the form of Kim Possible GIFs — poured in. Everyone is rooting for her.

Her husband, writer-producer Brendan Rooney, chimed in to show his wife support in the comments.

“You got this my beautiful wife,” he encouraged.

“We will figure this out,” he vowed, “and destroy any problem that comes your way.”

Rooney concluded: “I love you beyond words.”

We’re sure that he’s showing plenty of support behind-the-scenes, as well.

We have shocking news to report out of Ohio today.

Ashley Flynn, a 37-year-old teacher and mother of two was shot and killed in the town of Tipp City, roughly 16 miles north of Dayton.

Now, her husband, Caleb Flynn, has been arrested for her murder.

Caleb’s name might be familiar to fans of American Idol, as he auditioned for the show back in 2013.

He did not make it to the second stage of the competition, but his audition was featured on the show, along with a sit-down interview with producers.

He was apprehended on Thursday by the Tipp City PD in Ohio and booked into the county jail for murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence.

Flynn posed for a mug shot in which there is no discernible expression on his face.

He was arraigned on Friday morning and pleaded not guilty.

Flynn’s bond was set at $2 million, and he’s due back in court for a preliminary hearing on February 26.

In documents obtained by Fox News, prosecutors allege that “Caleb Flynn murdered his wife [redacted] in the morning hours of February 16, 2026.”

In a 911 call obtained by the outlet, Flynn told the dispatcher that he had just arrived home to find his wife murdered.

“Oh my god, somebody broke into my home, somebody’s broken into my home and shot my wife,” he said on the call.

The couple’s two children were in the home at the time of the shooting.

They were reportedly asleep and in a different part of the house and were unharmed.

“My wife, she’s got two shots to her head, there’s blood everywhere. Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God.”

After an investigation that unfolded over several days, Flynn was taken into police custody, where he remains.

“The Tipp City Police Department appreciates the community’s patience and support while this collaborative investigative team worked diligently on this complex case,” Tipp City Police Chief Greg Adkins said in a statement issued Friday.

“She was known for her beautiful smile, warmth, kindness, and the positive impact she had on so many—both in and out of the classroom and on the court,” the school district that Ashley Flynn worked for wrote in a Facebook post.

The tragic passing of Eric Dane at 53 was a shock to many.

Even those who knew that the end was near are expressing heartbreak in their tributes to the late actor.

Patrick Dempsey was with his late co-star just days before his passing.

But he prefers to focus upon their best memories.

He saw him just last week

On Friday morning, Patrick Dempsey spoke as a guest on Virgin Radio.

There, he acknowledged the tragic passing of Dane mere hours after it became news.

“I just woke up this morning,” he began, “and it was very sad to read the news.”

Dempsey admitted: “It’s hard to put into words.”

He then expressed: “I feel really so sad for his children.”

Dempsey shed light on how much Dane’s health had deteriorated towards the end.

“I was corresponding with him, we were texting,” he revealed.

“So I spoke to him about a week ago,” Dempsey continued, “and some friends of ours went in to see him.”

Grimly, he shared: “And he was really starting to lose his ability to speak.”

Dempsey assessed: “He was bedridden and it was very hard for him to swallow so the quality of his life was deteriorating so rapidly.”

Still, he prefers to discuss who he was in happier times

“He was the funniest man,” Dempsey praised.

“He was such a joy to work with,” he gushed.

“And,” Dempsey affirmed, “I want to just remember him in that spirit.”

He explained: “Because any time he was on set, he brought so much fun to it.

Dempsey then recalled specific moments that he found indelible.

“He had a great sense of humor,” Dempsey shared.

The actor recalled: “He was easy to work with, we got along instantly.”

Many still remember Dane for his first moment on Grey’s Anatomy. That moment was indelible for Dempsey, as well.

“First scene was him, you know, in all his glory, coming out of the bathroom with the towel on looking amazing,” he raved.

Dempsey described Dane in that moment as “making you feel completely out of shape and insignificant.” Still, he emphasized that the men were friends, in part, because they were never in competition.

He has an inspirational takeaway and piece of advice

“There was just this wonderful mutual respect,” Dempsey described.

“He’s wickedly intelligent and I’m always going to remember those moments of fun that we had together,” he affirmed.

“And,” Dempsey continued, “celebrate the joy that he did bring to people’s lives and the real loss is for us who don’t have them anymore.”

Dempsey spoke of Dane’s ALS advocacy, saying: “He did an incredible job at bringing awareness to this horrible disease and those remaining days.”

He opined: “And it just reminds us that we all have to celebrate every day like it’s our last day.”

“It’s something that we have to remember and certainly in a world where there is just so much crisis and there is so much tragedy that we really need to be grateful for every moment that we have,” Dempsey expressed.

“Spend time with our families, do things that are better, that benefit of other people to be of service to be kind, to be loving … these values,” he listed.

“With our leadership unfortunately that we’re seeing around the world and certainly in America,” Dempsey grimly acknowledged, “with this horrible, corrupt government that is currently running America.”

He emphasized: “We have to remember to treat our neighbors and our friends with the right values.”

That is sound advice — and a worthy tribute to a dearly departed friend.
