Megan Moroney is keeping the buzz going with the release of her “6 Months Later” music video and she got to celebrate the highly anticipated drop surrounded by a group of loyal fans.
One day prior to the video’s official debut, the Georgia native hosted an early premiere at The Westin Nashville’s rooftop bar, home to her exclusive Emo Cowgirl pop-up. Guests were treated to an immersive experience that paid tribute to each of Moroney’s musical eras, with new additions curated just for “6 Months Later.”
Heart-shaped balloon art, props and outfits from the song’s cover art and music video, special merch and even a custom ticket labeled “6 Months Later” helped bring the story to life. Fans got a first look at the video on a big TV screen while Moroney herself joined the crowd, making the intimate premiere even more special. Together, they sat and watched the magic of girlhood unfold through chaos, comedy, and a heavy dose of karma.

The video opens with Moroney taking on her first role as a heartbroken woman. Dressed in a vibrant pink feather ensemble in a matching pink room with curlers in her hair and a bedazzled landline at the ready, she snacks on some popcorn while flipping through the channels on her TV. Moroney is seen taking on another role in a workout commercial before the heartbroken character lands on a nostalgic commercial that speaks directly to her.

The songstress quickly dials the number for a hotline called “Karma Now!,” which promises results in exactly six months. “Brought to you by Emo Cowgirl,” the ad was a not-so-subtle callout to anyone who’s ever been lied to, cheated on, manipulated, lied to or gaslit by a man in their life.
Moroney then appears in her next character as a call center representative looking to help out any recently dumped woman seeking revenge. After letting the heartbroken woman share her story, the call center representative begins typing away on her sticker-filled computer while surrounded by co-workers played by some of her closest friends in real life.

She works her magic to ensure the man suffers a series of unfortunate events, like turning his shower water blue, making his milk expired after he pours it into his morning cereal and giving him food poisoning while on a date with a new girl.
Eventually, the guy caves and decides to call his ex – cue the celebratory pink lights that fill the call center as the employees celebrate their job well done. In the final triumphant scenes, the man’s idiotic actions results in him losing out on not just one, but multiple woman and the cycle continues.
As an added bonus, fans can also call into the Karma Now! Hotline from the music video at 404-800-6373.
The scenes perfectly capture the comedic humor and all-too-relatable storyline that Megan Moroney depicts throughout the heartbreak anthem. Produced by Kristian Bush and co-written by Moroney with Ben Williams, David “Messy” Mescon, and Rob Hatch, “6 Months Later” finds the Georgia native reflecting on an unoriginal experience of an ex who left her heart broken, only to try and come back into her life six months later.

She begins by explaining that the drama between her and the man began in November of 2019 when the guy she was seeing admitted he felt they were “better off strangers” than lovers. The story comes to an epic close when Moroney’s gritty vocals inform the heartbreaker that he’s run out of chances to get her back.
“6 Months Later” marks the second release since Megan Moroney’s sophomore album, Am I Okay?, following her collaboration with Kenny Chesney, “You Had To Be There.” The song gives fans a glimpse into her next album, which she previously admitted is going to feature “a lot happier” music and less “really gut-wrenching” tracks than fans are used to seeing from her.
The song has officially become a highly-requested portion of her current headline run, the AM I OKAY? TOUR. Moroney will continue performing some of her biggest shows to date throughout the 50-date North American trek that wraps up in the fall.

Following the devastating floods that took place in the Texas Hill Country earlier this month, Robert Earl Keen, a Texas native himself from the very same area impacted, is stepping up to help those affected by the disaster. The beloved troubadour has rallied a powerful lineup of friends and fellow artists for a one-night-only fundraising event dubbed Buc-ee’s Presents Robert Earl Keen and Friends: Applause for the Cause.
The event will take place on August 28th at Whitewater Amphitheater, just outside of New Braunfels, Texas. Keen will take the stage with special guest Tyler Childers, in addition to a special trio set from Miranda Lambert, Jon Randall, and Jack Ingram.
Other performers include Cross Canadian Ragweed, Randy Rogers, Ryan Bingham, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and more. These acts, many of whom have strong ties to the Lonestar State, will lend their talents in an effort to raise money for the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.
“This is a star-studded lineup with music starting in the mid-afternoon and lasting far into the night,” says Keen. “We must help everyone as much as we can, for as long as we can.”
Beaver Aplin, founder of Buc-ee’s, echoes Keen, “We are pleased to have the opportunity to support the relief efforts of so many for our beloved Hill Country. The tragedies are beyond belief.” Aplin continues, “Buc-ee’s teaming with Robert Earl Keen and friends for this benefit concert just seemed like the right thing to do. When we learned 100 percent of our commitment goes to the Community Foundation of the Hill Country, we were all in.”

Doors will open at 3 pm, followed by Lloyd Maines and his Austin City Limits Band with special guest vocalists kicking things off. Once the sun sets, those in attendance will be treated to full-band sets from music legends hailing from Texas and beyond. The evening will close with very special performance by Robert Earl Keen and Tyler Childers.
General admission tickets priced at $99 as well as reserved seating tickets going for $200 will go on sale Friday, July 18th, at noon Central.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from Applause for the Cause will be put towards the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. Additionally, at the time of purchase, attendees will be given the special opportunity to buy a ticket for a local first responder to attend the coveted event. For those interested, these special first responder tickets can be purchased and gifted without attending the event. More information on all ticket options can be found at whitewaterrocks.com.
The event is made possible with generous support from Whitewater Amphitheater, Miller Pro AVL, C.C. Creations, artist Dorothy Nottingham, and Buc-ee’s, which has already pledged a $1 million donation to the relief effort. To make a direct contribution to the Community Foundation, please click here.
Organizers revealed that more details regarding artist announcements, additional fundraisers, and information regarding how to watch Applause for the Cause from the comfort of your own home via Veeps will be provided soon. Learn more at whitewaterrocks.com and robertearlkeen.com.

Ella Langley will never forget the first time she met Eric Church. While co-hosting Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton, the songstress opened up about this surreal moment and how she almost fainted at the sight of the country music icon.
It all went down last July during the taping of the Toby Keith tribute TV special filmed inside Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. That night, Eric Church took the stage to perform the hit song, “As Good As I Once Was” while Langley teamed up with Riley Green to sing another one of Toby Keith’s beloved classics, “Who’s Your Daddy?”
When the star-studded lineup of country acts weren’t performing, they had the chance to hangout and mingle side-stage at the honky-tonk style bar decorated with red Solo cups. That’s where Langley came face-to-face with Eric Church and decided to introduce herself.

“There was a bar on the stage, and seated at the bar were all these famous country stars including Eric Church,” she explained. “So I walked up to him and shook his hand.”
What happened next took the “Weren’t For The Wind” singer completely off guard.
“He slid his sunglasses down, looked me in the eye and said, ‘Ella Langley, I love your voice.’ I could have passed out right there,” she recalled. “That was my meeting Eric Church story.”

It’s safe to say that moment left a lasting impression on Langley, because Church came to mind once again during another recent interview.
During a conversation on Country Nights Live with Bev Rainey, Langley was asked, “If you could pick any other country artist and ask them one question, who would the artist be? What’s the question?”
Although a slew of questions for various artists ran through her head, Langley quickly brought up something that has puzzled country music fans for years – Why does Eric Church’s signature look include dark sunglasses?
“Oh, does Eric Church need his sunglasses?” she wondered before firing off a round of follow-up questions. “Are there prescriptions in there…did it start out not, and then did he put it in there? I just wanted to know.”
She added, “one time he did put ’em down and I saw those eyeballs and I was like, ‘holy…’”
The truth is, Eric Church’s dark sunglasses have become a staple in his appearances even both on and off the stage. Back in 2023, while reflecting on his third studio album, Chief, in a conversation with his record label, the award-winning act revealed the practical reason why he started wearing sunglasses on stage early on in his career.
“We have been playing a lot of little bars and clubs and honkytonks where the lights are about a foot from your face. And I wore contacts, where this all started, the initial inception was, my contacts would fall out, pop out on stage, and I would be blind for half the show, so I started wearing sunglasses, then I put on a hat to stop the sweat and it just became this thing.”
This look stayed with Church as he started to play in bigger venues and develop a bigger fanbase. His crowds started to expect the glasses and hats every night, giving him no chance to change things up. So he stuck with it and also earned his iconic nickname, “Chief,” in the process.
“People in the crowds would have on hats and sunglasses and wouldn’t let me adjust that, so it just became this thing naturally. So, that was show time, it was kind of my uniform,” he explained. “The band starting joking with me, when I put the hat and sunglasses on, they go ‘Alright, its Chief time, Chief’s here.’ But I laughed about it, it was a joke.”
So there you have it – the answer to the question both Ella Langley, and just about every fan wonder when they see Church rocking the shades on stage. It turns out the glasses weren’t just for style, but instead they were necessary for his performances.
