Logan Crosby Looks Back At Rock-Bottom Moment As He Celebrates One Year Sober

Rising country star Logan Crosby is celebrating one year of sobriety and reflecting on the moment that completely changed his life.

“one. f*cking. year. sober. i cannot believe i’m saying that out loud,” he wrote in a new Instagram post.

Crosby then took fans back to one year ago at on September 8th. He recalled waking up face down on the floor at 6:45am, wearing the clothes from the night before, holding a bottle of vodka in his right hand and the lights still on.

“What i didn’t want to do that morning was get up and walk to my bathroom. i didn’t want to look in the mirror. not because i looked bloated and tired. not because i had to figure out which sunglasses would hide the night still sitting in my eyes. that was easy,” he admitted. “The hard part was staring down the mess i had made. looking at someone i truly despised. someone i didn’t know. someone i sure as hell didn’t love.”

He admits this wasn’t a “one-off” occasion it was actually how he was starting most of his days at the time. Except on this morning, something different happened. After he physically woke up, he mentally woke up too and found a glimmer of hope that would change his life.

“Like i said, when i woke up that morning, i was holding an empty bottle of vodka in my right hand. but in my left, i was holding something quieter. something easier to miss. a very small, stubborn piece of hope. and i am very, very glad i didn’t let go of it.

“Once i had done my best to get myself together that morning, i sat on my balcony. coffee in my shaking hands, trying to piece together the night before, the world started to wake up around me. cars driving by. neighbors opening their doors. birds chirping in the late summer air. and that’s when i stopped.”

Suddenly, Crosby was flooded with all the messes he had made over the years as a result of the control alcohol had over him.

“I thought to myself, “there’s gotta be more…i chuckle now, a year later, thinking about that moment on that early September morning. because my goodness… there is so much more.”

From that moment on, the singer/songwriter began his sobriety journey. He notes that the past year has been one of the most “beautiful, meaningful, perspective-shifting, exciting” years of his life. This journey hasn’t been perfect but it’s been real and raw.

“I have cried more this past year than i ever thought i would. not from sadness, but from finally feeling the things i used to numb. seeing my mom. talking to my grandmothers on the phone. hanging out with my dad. taking my baby sister to dinner. watching friends get married. watching people i adore succeed. playing shows. writing songs. building a life that actually means something to me. these moments used to feel like obligations. now they feel like gifts…and i think that’s the biggest change: i don’t feel like i’m surviving my life anymore. i feel like i’m living it,” he admitted.

As he closed out his powerful statement, Crosby thanked everyone who has stood by him, gave him a shoulder to cry on, and encouraged him to continue working towards this new chapter.

“i love you more than i will ever be able to put into words. you helped me hold onto that small piece of hope until it grew into something bigger than i ever imagined.”

Additionally, he passed that encouragement on, promising to anyone else out there who is struggling that “there is a way out, there is more for you than this, you deserve a life you don’t have to escape from.”

He added, “please reach out. take the step. hold onto your piece of hope, no matter how small it feels.”

“Today, i will choose life. and God willing, tomorrow i’ll choose it again. and the day after that. and the day after that. life, life, life — and so much more life. God is so, so good,” Logan Crosby added before signing off with his signature saying, “tell your mama i love her, bye.”

HARDY Wraps ‘THE COUNTRY! COUNTRY! TOUR’ After Performing for More Than 400,000 Fans Across 39 Dates

HARDY is officially closing the chapter on THE COUNTRY! COUNTRY! TOUR after bringing his high-energy show to more than 400,000 fans across 39 stops.

The six-month North American trek kicked off in February in Oshawa, Ontario, before wrapping up this August in New Braunfels, Texas on August 21. Along the way, HARDY brought a stacked lineup of opening acts with him across the various arenas and amphitheaters, including Cameron Whitcomb, Tucker Wetmore, Mitchell Tenpenny, Muscadine Bloodline, Jake Worthington and McCoy Moore.

The tour served as an extension of HARDY’s COUNTRY! COUNTRY! album, giving fans across the country the chance to experience the project in a whole new way.

For HARDY, putting on a memorable show has always been about more than simply getting onstage and performing. When he first began touring and opening for major acts like Morgan Wallen, the Mississippi native made it a goal to not only impress the audience, but to make the headliner a little nervous about following his set.

“Our goal was to shit on the people that we were opening for,” he told Rolling Stone. “We wanted whoever we opened for to watch our show from side stage and be like, ‘Fuck, I’ve got to go on after this.’”

That same competitive drive now fuels HARDY’s own headlining shows, where his goal is to leave every fan feeling like they just witnessed one of the best concerts of their lives.

“That’s my mindset every time I step on stage,” he shared.

When it comes to his work as a songwriter, however, the country star takes a very different approach. Instead of looking at it as a competition to see who can write the best song, he looks at it as a collaborative process.

HARDY has a rotating group of around 15 writers that he works with regularly and believes that each writer brings something different to the table, adding to the end goal of creating the best song possible.

Now that his COUNTRY! COUNTRY! chapter has come to a close, HARDY is back in the studio working on new music and he’s already teasing that it could be some of his best work yet.

Throughout his career, he’s explored everything from full-blown rock on QUIT!! to a mix of rock and country and, most recently, a project rooted in country music. This time around, HARDY isn’t interested in putting a label on his sound. Instead, he’s letting the music speak for itself. As he puts it, “it’s all Hardy music to me.”

“I can finally say I’m back in the studio, and the next thing is going to be the best thing I’ve ever put out,” HARDY said in a live Q&A with Amazon Music at Cavendish Beach Music festival. “I can confidently tell you it’s the best group of songs, the best concept, the best ideas I’ve ever had. And it rules, I promise you that.”

Mitchell Tenpenny and Wife Meghan Patrick Welcome Baby Girl Ember James Tenpenny

Mitchell Tenpenny and his wife Meghan Patrick are officially parents! The couple took to social media on Tuesday, September 8 to announce that their first child, a baby girl, made her “grand entrance into our world” on September 1st at 3:03 am.

Their beautiful daughter is named Ember James Tenpenny and weighed in at 5lbs and 12oz upon her arrival. Mitchell and Meghan expressed their overwhelming gratitude and excitement as they begin this next chapter of their lives together.

The caption read, “We are just in awe and so grateful that God chose us to be her parents. The last few days have been the most beautifully exhausting days and we are just trying to soak up every second with our sweet Emmy girl 💗”

The news of their pregnancy broke on March 31 with a joint Instagram post.

“We’ve been blessed with the greatest gift of all this year! God is so good and always right on time… we can’t wait to be Mom and Dad,” they wrote at the time.

In the following months, Meghan let fans know that she had made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining dates of her Golden Child Tour. She explained that she had initially planned to finish out the trek after learning she was pregnant, but ultimately decided it was best to wrap up her previously scheduled shows through May and spend the remaining months before her daughter’s arrival focusing on herself and her growing family.

“I’ll be stepping away from touring for the rest of the year to focus on my family, my health, and this baby girl we prayed so hard for. I’ll still be making music, and honestly, I feel like I’m writing some of the best songs of my life right now. So I will not be disappearing or “quitting”, just doing things a little differently in the best way for not only the quality of my music, but also for my family,” she explained at the time.

The “She’s No Good For Me” singer later noted that she felt “very at peace” with the choice she made.

As her due date approached closer and closer, Meghan tapped into the emotions that came with this new chapter of life. She recently released a sweet song called “Your Daddy’s Smile.”

Throughout the tender track, the songstress imagines what life will look like once she finally gets to meet her baby girl. She finds herself hoping her daughter grows up confident and follows her own dreams. At the heart of the song, Meghan acknowledges that her daughter will likely inherit her “wild” side, while also hoping she gets her father’s smile, the same smile that first captured her own heart.

Mitchell Tenpenny still has a slew of shows scheduled throughout the remainder of the year. It’s unclear when Meghan Patrick will return to the road. For now, they are both soaking up some time at home as they navigate this exciting new journey together.

George Strait to Receive Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Prestigious Career Maker Award

George Strait is getting another major honor for his lasting impact on country music. Today, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame (NaSHOF) announces that the legend will be honored with the prestigious Career Maker Award during the organization’s annual gala on Monday, October 26, at the Music City Center.

The award honors artists and other influential figures outside of the Hall of Fame who have played a key role in helping songwriters achieve career milestones and ultimately earn their place as a member of the coveted organization. Throughout his 40-plus-years in the business, Strait has been known for his ability to recognize and champion great songwriting.

During his career, the Texas native has recorded an impressive 264 songs that have all been written or co-written by NaSHOF members. Of those 72 songwriters, 44 had not yet been inducted when Strait first recorded one of their songs.

“Throughout his phenomenal career as an artist, George Strait has played an integral role in helping more than 40 songwriters achieve induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame,” said Rich Hallworth, chair of the organization’s board of directors, “which is why we want to express our gratitude to him on Nashville Songwriting’s Most Legendary Night.”

“Having George Strait record a song of mine, especially so early in my career, felt like nothing less than a stamp of approval from Country music itself,” adds Hall of Fame songwriter Gretchen Peters, board vice chair and co-writer of Strait’s “The Chill Of An Early Fall.”  “It said, ‘You belong here; you’ve earned your bona fides.’  George is so deeply rooted in the traditions of Country music, so beloved and respected and unassailable in his song choices.  Every song he touches becomes, de facto, a George Strait song.  To a young songwriter, that meant the world.”

Strait is only the second person to receive the Career Maker Award, following Reba McEntire, who was honored in 2018. The “Amarillo By Morning” singer admitted he is “honored” to accept this year’s award while surrounded by some of the talented songwriters he has had the privilege of working with throughout his legendary career.

“I look forward to being there with some of the most talented Hall of Fame songwriters I’ve been so lucky to be associated with throughout my career. You folks definitely make the world a better place through your amazing abilities as songwriters and artists. See you there,” said Strait.

The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala is considered one of the biggest nights of the year for the music industry. The annual event also serves as a fundraiser for the nonprofit Nashville Songwriters Foundation and brings together some of the biggest names in music to celebrate the inductees with heartfelt tributes and special performances from surprise guests.

Over the years, the star-studded event has welcomed artists including Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Eric Church, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Trisha Yearwood, Brooks & Dunnand many more.

ERNEST Shares Honest Update on His Mental Health Journey And Reconnecting With His Faith

ERNEST is opening up about his mental and physical health nearly two weeks after announcing he would be taking time away from the road to focus on himself. The country singer shared an honest update with fans, thanking them for the support he’s received during his time away and admitting that he is still trying to find his way.

“Just checking in to say thank you for all the love and support …. Bottom line is I was LOST… i recon I still am … but the search is on…. And that’s new to me,” he wrote.

ERNEST explained that by stepping away from touring temporarily, he has been given the opportunity to reconnect with his faith. He reflected on the fact that he was feeling “a bit burnt out” on the subject of religion after growing up in the church and attending a Christian school. But by dedicating some time to himself without the distractions of the road, the “Lorelei” singer has gotten back in touch with his “relationship with God.”

“I have spent far too long relying on my own (dumbass) way and thinking I can outsmart my better judgement…. That’s not the case…. I don’t have many answers at all…. But I do know where it’s starting…. A dialogue with something greater than ME,” he shared.

The singer also emphasized how much his family and friends mean to him, saying they “deserve me at my best” and that he deserves that for himself, too. He closed out his statement by letting fans know that it won’t be too long before he is back on stage sharing his music with the world.

ERNEST continued, “I can’t define it and don’t know if anyone really can… I just know that I have a beautiful life, family and friends that deserve me at my best. I deserve that for me too…. I’m not preaching by any means…. But I just wanted to let yall know I’m taking this time to dig and discover. I love yall… and I love country music… Il be back to both soon! 🩵”

Being so vulnerable online prompted both fans and fellow singer/songwriters to share their support through uplifting messages in the comment section, making sure ERNEST knows he is not alone on this journey.

Brandon Lake wrote, “Beautiful man. Way to do the hard thing but that actually leads to life and life more abundant. You got some beautiful days ahead of you especially because you’re putting in the work. Cheering you on bro.”

Conner Smith added, “Love this 🤍. Nashvilles got your back” while Mitchell Tenpenny said, “Amen Brother we all need him. It’s a new day” and Jake Owen wrote, “Hell yeah… proud of you. We all are. Here for ya.”

His initial announcement was shared to his Instagram story on Friday, August 28, when he revealed that that the demands of life on the road have started to take a toll on him.

He wrote, “Heyy’all. The road has been dragging me down in a bad way. From mental to physical health. I am going away for a couple of weeks to get myself and my priorities back in order.”

Taking this time off meant that ERNEST would be stepping away from his supporting role on Ella Langley’s The Dandelion Tour. He had been scheduled to perform alongside her through September 12. ERNEST made sure to thank the “Choosin’ Texas” singer for having him out on tour and wished her the best as she continues her trek.

“I want to thank Ella for having me out on tour and wishing her the BEST in Auburn tonight and the rest of the tour.”

Per his statement, he is looking forward to returning to the road feeling “better and stronger.”

ERNEST has yet to share when he will be returning to the road.
