Caroline Alexis is one of the newest competitors on Season 30 of The Voice who earned the spot on the team of one of this year’s first-time coaches, Riley Green. With her powerful voice and a country superstar in her corner, the possibilities are endless as she continues her journey through the competition.
The 25-year-old hailing from Ozark, Alabama instantly made her name known when she stepped on stage during the blind auditions and delivered a stand-out performance of Rascal Flatts’ “Take Me There” as part of the three-night premiere event.

As she explained to the coaches, the emerging act does not do music full time, in fact she recently graduated law school and in between rehearsing for her audition has been studying for the Bar exam.
She instantly formed a bond with Green as he joked, “We’re a lot alike. I go to the bar in my downtime too.”
“I like that,” she responded with a laugh.

Beyond being a talented singer and soon-to-be lawyer, the contestant also has a history with competing in pageants. The Dale County Chronicle reports that she grew up in Ozark and graduated from G.W. Long High School, where her love for music and performing began. During her senior year, she earned the leading role of Donna in the Wish Upon a Star Performing Arts Company’s high school production of “Mamma Mia!,” which also marked her first time ever performing on stage.
From that moment on, Caroline continued to find ways to stay connected to performing while pursuing a career outside of music. Over the years, she competed in pageants, showed horses, performed at local events and even sang the national anthem at hockey games and rodeos. She also earned her Juris Doctor degree and launched her own pageant-coaching business.

Law school may have become another important part of her life, but music never fully left the picture. Caroline explained to the outlet that a conversation with one of her law professors ultimately gave her the push to take a chance on her longtime passion and audition for The Voice.
On the day she graduated from law school, criminal law professor Melvin Otey reminded her that “the law will always be there” but an opportunity to audition for The Voice might not come around again.
She took that leap and stood before returning coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine as well as all-new coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green. As soon as she began singing, the coaches showed a clear interest, with Levine even hovering his hand over his button before ultimately waiting to hear more.
Midway through the performance, Green finally pushed his button to turn his chair, sending Caroline’s parents into a celebration backstage alongside the show’s host, Carson Daly. She continued delivering a powerful performance, hitting each note with ease and pouring emotion into the song, leaving both the coaches and the live audience impressed by her talent.
Clarkson spoke up first, admitting she was “so close” to turning her chair, but realized she likely had no fighting chance once Riley Green took his shot.
“I was like I ain’t got a chance. And then you’re from Alabama. I’m so glad I saved myself from embarrassment. Congratulations you’re on The Voice,” the superstar told her.
Then it was the “Worst Way” singer’s turn to explain why he wanted Caroline on his team.

“Someone with an accent that I recognize from my home state of Alabama. I love your tone, I love your song choice, I love the way you performed it…I’m super excited to have you on The Voice and on my team.”
Later on, Green admitted he was happy that none of the other coaches turned their chair, meaning he didn’t have to fight anyone to secure Caroline Alexis for his team.
“It worked out great. She’s somebody that needed to be on my team,” he added. “I’m really excited to see what Caroline does.”
As a welcome gift for joining his team, Green handed Riley a pair of the bib overalls that each of his contestants has received this season, complete with “Team Riley” embroidered across the front.
Fans can watch Caroline Alexis’ journey on The Voice continue after the blind auditions come to an end Tuesday, October 6.
Even more contestants will take the stage next week as new episodes of The Voice air every Monday at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) on NBC.

Sister duo Ferryn & Brinkley are quickly becoming fan favorites on Season 30 of The Voice. The sisters caught the attention of all four coaches with their performance of “When Will I Be Loved,” earning a rare four-chair turn. But there’s much more to their story than their time on The Voice stage.

Ferryn Wright and Brinkley Wright are sisters, not twins, from Sevierville, Tennessee. Ferryn is 20, while Brinkley is 18 (17 at the time of their audition). The sisters grew up performing together in East Tennessee and eventually became full-time performers at Dollywood.
Their hometown connection to Dolly Parton makes their story even more special. Both sisters have performed at Dollywood on several occasions and have had the opportunity to perform at her hotels.
Earlier this spring, the sisters were also selected to walk just ahead of the car carrying Dolly during a parade at Dollywood. They later shared their excitement on social media, describing it as “the opportunity of a lifetime” to get the chance to “walk alongside our dreamer in chief.”
Beyond their connection to Dollywood, Ferryn and Brinkley have built their musical identity around their incredible family harmonies. As sisters who have spent years performing together, their voices naturally blend in a way that is difficult to replicate.
The sisters are also singer-songwriters who recently released their debut single, “Wrong Girl.”
Their journey to The Voice wasn’t their first experience with a major singing competition.
Ferryn and Brinkley previously auditioned for Season 23 of American Idol in 2025, although they had to pursue the opportunity separately since the show does not accept duos. Both sisters earned Golden Tickets and advanced in the competition, but neither of their auditions aired.
At the time, they celebrated the achievement on social media, writing:
“Not one but TWO GOLDEN TICKETS?!? WE’RE GOING TO HOLLYWOOD!! Unfortunately, our audition won’t be aired, as there are over 180 others who deserve it over us. We are so incredibly honored that the judges Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and Lionel Richie thought we were good enough to give us a chance.”
Ferryn and Brinkley’s The Voice Blind Audition was a major breakthrough. The sisters performed “When Will I Be Loved,” showcasing their signature harmonies and earning chair turns from Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah, Adam Levine and Riley Green. They became the first four-chair turn of Season 30.
With all four coaches fighting for them, the sisters had plenty of options to consider.
Riley Green leaned into their country roots, telling the sisters that their performance reminded him of where he grew up and praising their “old school” country sound. He also compared them to his former tour mate and duet partner Ella Langley.
Clarkson also made her case, pointing to her experience coaching and winning The Voice with the sibling trio Girl Named Tom.
In the end, Ferryn and Brinkley chose Green, officially joining Team Riley.

Now that they’re officially part of Team Riley Green, fans will have to keep watching Season 30 of The Voice to see how far the sisters can make it in the competition.
No matter how their journey unfolds, Ferryn and Brinkley have already introduced their unique sister harmonies to a whole new audience, while bringing a little piece of their East Tennessee and Dollywood roots to the The Voice stage.

Scott Thomas, drummer for multi-platinum country band Parmalee, and his wife, Lexia, are expecting their first baby! The couple spoke exclusively with Country Now to announce that they will welcome their very own “little drummer boy” in December.
When they first found out they would be welcoming a new member into their family, Lexia says she was hit with a wave of “so many emotions.”
“Obviously shock, but excitement, and it’s just kind of surreal. I’d say it’s still surreal until he actually gets here. It’s kind of hard to believe it’s happening, but we’re really excited,” she stated.

Scott recalled being on the road when his other half had a feeling she might be pregnant. She waited until he returned home so they could take the test together. After seeing the positive result, the couple took several more tests over the next few days just to make sure it was really true.
“It’s just so exciting,” Scott added.
After finding out together, the parents-to-be then shared the exciting news with a close circle of family and friends, including, of course, Scott’s Parmalee bandmates.
“We really shocked everyone, I think,” he admitted.
The couple hasn’t settled on a name just yet, but Scott revealed he is over the moon about getting to welcome another boy into the Thomas family. They finally shared the news with the world today, September 24, using a series of photos that are incredibly meaningful to both of them.

Instead of sticking to a traditional maternity shoot, the couple opted to post in front of some road cases in a backstage setup as a nod to their life on the road, while Lexia proudly showed off her growing baby bump. The photos feel especially fitting given their shared roots in the entertainment industry and the fact that their own love story began on the road in 2019, when Lexia was a part of the management team working closely with Parmalee.
“I kind of grew up in the music industry and my family has a background in it and same with Scott. He grew up around it with his dad being in a band, so we wanted to do something around the music industry and behind the scenes and just encompasses both of our lives. So that’s why we chose the warehouse, the road cases, our own feel. It just felt right for us. So yeah, I think it turned out really cool and exactly what we were wanting,” Lexia shared.
Another set of images features more traditional portraits against a simple white backdrop, putting the focus on the T-shirt Lexia is wearing. While it may look like just an ordinary graphic tee with an intricate white design on the chest, the shirt actually holds deep meaning for Scott, serving as a reminder of a pivotal moment in his life.

The shirt that dates back to a fundraiser held 16 years ago, when Scott was recovering from a traumatic event. Back in 2010, the singer/songwriter had just finished up a Parmalee show in South Carolina when he suddenly became a victim of an armed robbery that turned into a shootout. He was shot three times, airlifted to the hospital, given roughly a 5% chance of survival, spent 10 days in a coma, and weeks in the hospital. During that difficult time, their family, friends, fans and fellow musicians came together to raise money for his medical expenses and support the band, who was unable to tour at the time.
Lexia chose to wear that same shirt in their pregnancy announcement, creating a full-circle moment as the couple prepares to welcome a new life into the world with the very same support system that got Scott through a life-altering moment.
“All our friends and family went through that with us and fans at that time. And so I think having this baby just brings it back home and a lot of people are just so excited for us because of that,” Scott shared. “They see that I almost died and now we’re bringing in new life. So I think that has a big part of even our family and friends why everyone is so excited about this little baby.”
He continued, “That shirt specifically was a fundraiser that our best friends and bands and families did for me and the band to raise money for us during that hard time. So that was the design…that shirt means a lot to me and Lex just decided to wear it and it just actually turned out so cool.”
The news is especially exciting as the couple prepares to celebrate their six-year anniversary this October. After meeting on the road, Scott and Lexia quickly realized they had found something special and decided they wanted to spend their lives together. They exchanged vows in a spontaneous, intimate ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on October 12, 2020.
After officially welcoming their baby boy into the world this December, the couple plan to bring their son on the road with Parmalee, and give him an “extraordinary life.”
“He’s very loved already and he’s very spoiled already,” Scott joked.
Lexia added, “Luckily with it being a family band, you have built in uncles on the road and cousins and babysitters. That’s another special element too…if he comes on the road, we got a lot of help out there and I’m really looking forward to that chapter. I think it will be really fun.”
This weekend, the couple will celebrate the first of two baby showers, with the first taking place in North Carolina alongside Scott’s family and the second planned for Nashville later this fall.
Meanwhile, Scott Thomas will continue hitting the road with Parmalee, with performances scheduled through February 2027. The band will take some time off between December and January, giving Scott and Lexia the opportunity to welcome their “little drummer boy” and enjoy the new chapter together as a family.

Ashley Cooke is turning heads with her flirty new music video for “baby blues,” co-starring comedian and actor Matt Rife.
The clip debuted on Wednesday (Sept. 23), just days after the launch of Cooke’s baby blues world tour.

Directed by Josh Erb, the video opens with Cooke sitting poolside with friends as they soak up the sun. She quickly locks eyes with a poolside bartender, played by Rife, and the two struggle to keep their eyes off each other.
Their attraction becomes increasingly obvious as Rife begins putting his bartending duties aside to sneak glances at Cooke from across the pool. As the pool party winds down and the sun begins to set, Cooke makes her move and follows him into a nearby poolhouse.
Once inside, Rife picks Cooke up and sets her on the counter before the two share a kiss. However, their private moment doesn’t last long. Cooke’s friends eventually catch the pair in the act, putting an end to their flirtatious encounter and signaling that the party is officially over.
Cooke and Rife’s reunion in the music video comes after they previously shared the stage together. During CMA Fest earlier this year, Cooke invited Rife to join her at Billboard Country Live at Category 10 for a performance of “baby blues.” The moment continued one of Cooke’s fan-favorite traditions, as she often scans the crowd for someone with baby-blue eyes and brings them into the spotlight to sing the song’s final verse. The track has since become one of Cooke’s signature songs, earning a No. 1 spot on SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown earlier this year.
The fan-favorite track appears on Cooke’s self-titled sophomore album, which was released in August. Earlier this month, the country star traveled to New York City to perform “baby blues” on Live with Kelly & Mark, where the song has already surpassed 63 million global streams. During the appearance, co-host Kelly Ripa fully embraced the song’s signature color, stepping out in a baby blue look and joking, “By the way, I’m on brand right?”

Ashley Cooke’s baby blues world tour picks back up tonight (9/24) at Irving Plaza in New York City. The 28-date tour is currently set to run through February 25, when Cooke will wrap the trek at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium. Along the way, she’ll make stops at several well-known venues across the U.S. and U.K., including Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club on September 18, Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre on October 8, and London’s Koko on January 29.

This year, Zach Top has already checked off a few bucket list items and there’s still more to come. Back in April, he accomplished the impressive feat of getting invited to open for one of his musical heroes, George Strait, at AT&T Stadium in Texas. That night became even more memorable when he got the chance to hang out with the country legend backstage.
While co-hosting a weekend of Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton, Top admitted that getting to step on the stage and warm up the crowd for a legend like Strait was “amazing.”
“Got to hang out with him on his bus, drink a little tequila, and chat with him for a bit. We talked a lot about golf. We’re both frustrated golfers,” Top joked.

Even though he is becoming a successful artist in his own right and has already become a big name in the industry, the Washington native revealed he is still just like any fan and did his best to hide the fact that he was starstruck.
“Any time I get around guys like that, I gotta hold myself back from being a fan. I try to play it cool and have a normal conversation,” Top shared.
The soon-to-be 29-year-old has even more major opportunities and milestones on the horizon as he continues to build momentum in his career. For starters, his latest album, Ain’t In It For My Health was just nominated for CMA Album of the Year. He is vying for a win in the category alongside Ella Langley with Dandelion, Kacey Musgraves with Middle of Nowhere, Parker McCollum with his self-titled album and Luke Combs with The Way I Am.
Top explained how much this recognition means to him, noting that taking home the trophy would be a particularly exciting career achievement for him.
“Album and Entertainer are right up there. The album thing, having your whole body of work acknowledged, there’s something cool about that. If not the top one, it’s one of the ones I’d like to win.”
Less than a month before he gets dressed up for a night at The 60th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, November 18 at Bridgestone Arena, Zach Top will step inside the same venue and deliver his first-ever headline show in Nashville.
Top’s Cold Beer & Country Music Tour is set to wrap up on October 30 with a nearly sold-out stop in Music City.
“Very excited about that. Fun to wrap up the tour in Nashville. We’ve not headlined a show in Bridgestone yet. This will be our first time. We’ll have lots of friends and family,” he told Helton.
Once the major moments of 2026 wrap up, Top plans to slow things down by spending some time in the studio working on his next record and enjoying some time away from the road by spending plenty of his days spent duck hunting.
His time off will hopefully get him fueled up and ready to embark on more headline shows in 2027 as well as his first-ever headline set at Stagecoach.
“Super honored to do that. That’s a wild feeling,” he said of the impressive festival slot.
From getting to hang out with icons like George Strait to preparing to headline one of Nashville’s biggest stages and earning some major recognition along the way, Zach Top’s career continues to gain more and more momentum.
