50 Cent Brings Gang Rivalries To A&E In New True Crime Series

50 Cent is expanding his true crime documentary empire with a gritty new series that promises to expose America’s most dangerous gang rivalries like never before.

The multi-platinum rapper and producer is developing Gang Wars for the A&E network through his G-Unit Film & Television banner in partnership with Citizen Jones production company, according to exclusive reports from industry insiders.

The series will deliver what 50 Cent calls “a raw, unfiltered look” at the street battles, betrayals and power plays that shaped modern criminal organizations across the United States.

Gang Wars might be Fif’s most ambitious true-crime project to date, building on his growing reputation as a documentary powerhouse who brings an authentic street perspective to mainstream television audiences.

According to Deadline, A&E series will feature unprecedented access to gang members, law enforcement officials and community leaders who witnessed these conflicts firsthand, sources close to the production revealed.

View this post on Instagram

50 Cent’s production company has already established itself as a major force in true-crime content, with recent hits including Sean Combs: The Reckoning on Netflix, Hip Hop Homicides for WE TV, TikTok Star Murders for Peacock, and The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets, demonstrating his ability to tackle diverse criminal subjects.

Citizen Jones brings strong documentary credentials to the partnership, having produced Netflix’s acclaimed How to Become a Tyrant and How to Become a Mob Boss series, which explored criminal psychology and organizational structures.

The production company specializes in investigative documentaries that combine compelling storytelling with rigorous research and exclusive access to key sources.

Gang Wars will examine how territorial disputes, drug trafficking operations and personal vendettas created lasting impacts on American communities, particularly in urban areas where these conflicts have played out over decades.

The series aims to go beyond surface-level crime reporting by exploring the social and economic factors that fuel gang rivalries, including poverty, limited opportunities and systemic inequalities.

Production on Gang Wars is expected to begin later this year, with the series potentially premiering in 2027 as part of A&E’s expanding true crime programming slate.

Ray J Rushed To Hospital Amid Mounting Legal & Financial Pressure

Ray J was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital Tuesday night after experiencing severe chest pain and being diagnosed with pneumonia, marking another devastating blow in what has become the worst period of his life.

The 44-year-old singer remains hospitalized, where doctors are conducting X-rays and an echocardiogram to determine the extent of his heart issues, according to sources who spoke with TMZ.

This health emergency comes just six weeks after Ray J’s explosive Thanksgiving Day meltdown that resulted in his arrest for allegedly pulling a gun on his estranged wife, Princess Love, during a livestreamed argument at their home.

The November 27 incident began when Ray J went live on social media, immediately ranting that he was having “the worst Thanksgiving in the world” as Princess Love attempted to take their two children from his house.

Viewers watched in horror as the livestream captured Ray J becoming increasingly agitated while holding what appeared to be a firearm, with Princess Love holding their young daughter nearby during the confrontation.

Los Angeles police arrested Ray J at 4 A.M. that morning after Princess Love called 911, telling officers he had threatened her and their children with the weapon.

The Los Angeles City Attorney’s office has since hit Ray J with six misdemeanor charges, including brandishing a firearm, use of force, and child endangerment, each carrying potential jail time.

A judge extended the restraining order against Ray J through the holidays, preventing him from seeing his children during Christmas and New Year’s celebrations with his family.

Ray J’s legal team has filed multiple motions attempting to modify the restraining order, arguing that the separation from his children is causing him severe emotional distress and affecting his mental health.

The singer has maintained his innocence, claiming in recent interviews that he never pointed the gun directly at Princess Love but was trying to protect his children from being taken from his home.

Ray J Massive AMEX Debt May Explain Thanksgiving Crash Out

Adding to his mounting stress, American Express filed a lawsuit against Ray J and his company Tronix Network just days before his arrest, seeking $139,849.85 in unpaid credit card debt. The financial lawsuit alleges breach of contract over the massive unpaid balance, with court documents showing Ray J has failed to make payments on the account for several months.

Medical experts say the combination of legal troubles, financial pressure, and family separation can create a perfect storm of stress that manifests in physical symptoms like chest pain and compromised immune function.

The stress can also trigger cardiovascular symptoms, including chest pain, elevated blood pressure, and heart palpitations, particularly in individuals with existing risk factors.

This marks the second time Ray J has battled pneumonia in recent years, having been hospitalized in Miami in 2021 with a non-COVID case that was so severe he feared for his life.

During that previous illness, Ray J required oxygen support and had to use an inhaler for weeks while recovering from the respiratory infection.

Ray J’s next court appearance regarding the restraining order modification is set for January 15.

Jim Jones Calls Cam’ron Soft in Dipset Comment Rumble

It’s always wild to watch people who once called each other brothers slowly turn into adversaries. Time has a way of doing that, especially in Hip-Hop. Just a few days ago, Cam’ron was online saying he had no beef with Jim Jones. Ironically, saying there’s no beef often felt like the clearest sign that there actually is some. Now, we can confirm it. They have beef!

What makes this situation even stranger is how unclear the origin point is. One minute things seemed cool, the next minute Cam was cracking jokes about someone not having heat in their house or studio. No names were mentioned, but the message landed exactly where it was meant to. Jim Jones.

From there, it got bad fast. Jim fired back on Instagram, and suddenly we were watching a Dipset royal rumble. I cannot lie, it gave me secondhand embarrassment.

That “heat” comment might have seemed harmless on the surface, but context matters. Lately, there’s been chatter tied to 50 Cent, suggesting unresolved money issues and lingering debts connected to Jim. Cam’s remarks appeared to tap directly into those rumors and some reality. We did not know what it meant until Jim spoke up.

Jim’s response was blunt and dismissive. Two words did most of the damage: “U soft.” From that point on, there was no pulling it back.

Minutes later, he followed up with, “U whole crew is soft,” and then added a couple more jabs: “U wanna play pull up let th people see how soft u are chump. Freakey u soft too.” I thought Freekey was the crazy one, but maybe not. Then Zeke said that Jim used him as a human shield in Detroit, tagging Trick Trick to co-sign it. Yikes.

Back to Cam, Jim said, “Do ur shoe punk.” He was not referring to a shoe, he was talking about It Is What It Is and Talk With Flee, just in case anyone missed the reference. Cam’ron was not about to let that slide.

Cam, who is clearly doing well, went off. The man is clearly doing well. He posted this:

Cam was getting his feet massaged earlier. Anyway, he hit Capo with a barrage of jokes ranging from age jokes to money. “What’s wrong capo? Ya heat off too? I ain’t know,” Cam replied. “Is hate for you to be 50yrs old with no heat. What’s ya Zelle bro? I got u.” You hate to see it.

Jones tried to hold on saying, “A block no u soft,” but Cam going. “Yea but my heat on. And I’m warm, you 50 years old, tough and cold,” Cam responded. “But dead ass tho capo, ya heat off for real??” I hate to see it.

Grab your popcorn. And get in the comments.

Harlem on the rise…

Kelly Rowland Faces Off Against Method Man in New Prime Video Romance

Kelly Rowland and Method Man are bringing workplace romance to Prime Video with their upcoming film Relationship Goals, a faith-centered romantic comedy that explores the complicated intersection of professional ambition and personal relationships.

The film casts Rowland as Leah Caldwell, a sharp television producer fighting to secure the top position running New York’s premier morning show.

Her focused career trajectory is disrupted when her former romantic partner, Jarrett Roy, played by “Method Man,” becomes her direct professional competitor for the same coveted role.

Director Linda Mendoza, whose Emmy-nominated television work includes episodes of Scrubs, The Good Place, and black-ish, brings her comedy expertise to this adaptation of Pastor Mike Todd’s New York Times bestselling book Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex.

Method Man’s character Jarrett claims personal transformation through his study of Todd’s book, presenting himself as a changed man seeking both professional success and personal redemption.

The Wu-Tang Clan member’s casting represents a departure from his typical roles, positioning him as a romantic lead navigating themes of accountability and spiritual growth. Rowland, who previously collaborated with Mendoza on Grown-ish episodes, approached the role with enthusiasm for both the romantic comedy genre and her character’s complex motivations.

The former Destiny’s Child member has been expanding her acting portfolio following her starring role in Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa, demonstrating her range across different dramatic territories.

Method Man has been branching out as well, starring in The 4:30 Movie, Shadow Force, Poetic License and 50 Cent’s Power Book II: Ghost.

Relationship Goals will be available exclusively on Prime Video starting February 4, 2026, with the film expected to reach global audiences through the platform’s international distribution network.

Back in August, Taylor released the first visual component of her Escape Room project. The short film visual album premiered alongside the LP, peaked at No.1 on iTunes R&B, No.2 on Apple Music R&B, and entered the Top 10 on Apple Music Top Albums chart.

About Escape Room, Teyana shared, “Escape Room isn’t just a film or an album, it’s a world I built to live in, bleed in, and heal in. I poured my heart into every layer, from the story to the sound, to capture that journey we all take through the shadows of heartbreak, whether that’s love lost, friendships broken, dreams deferred and guide you toward the lightness of healing. It’s the visual representation of my scars, the picture of my healing, and a mirror for anyone ready to face their own truth. This is more than a story… it’s a place to break free.”

Taylor wrote, directed, and produced the Escape Room film alongside her all-female production company The Aunties, the same team that helmed the new live videos released via @Cartunezzzz.

EXCLUSIVE: Lil Durk Held In Solitary For 131 Days Over Apple Watch As Lawyers Fight Prison Condition

Lil Durk has spent more than four months in solitary confinement at MDC Los Angeles, locked in a small cell for 23 hours a day, as his legal team demands answers over what they call a lack of due process tied to an alleged contraband Apple Watch.

The rapper has been confined to the Segregated Housing Unit (SHU) since August 29, 2025, according to AllHipHop.com.

His attorneys filed a motion requesting a status hearing, arguing that he has been held “without process” in violation of federal regulations and possibly the Eighth Amendment, which prevents cruel and unusual punishment.

Durk’s lawyer, Christy O’Connor, says he has been in the SHU for 131 consecutive days, with no access to commissary, only one phone call per month, and no in-person visits.

“[Lil Durk] is confined to a very small jail cell, just large enough for a single bed, a toilet, and a sink,” O’Connor said. “The deleterious effects of extended solitary confinement on an inmate’s psychological well-being are well-documented.”

Despite the serious restriction, Lil Durk has not yet received the disciplinary review required under federal prison rules, which state that inmates must receive a Unit Discipline Committee review within five working days and may be entitled to a hearing before a Disciplinary Hearing Officer.

His attorneys argue that the Bureau of Prisons and MDC Los Angeles have offered conflicting justifications for his prolonged isolation.

In October, an MDC attorney reportedly said Durk’s celebrity status had nothing to do with his SHU placement. But in December, the Warden allegedly told defense counsel that the rap star posed a threat to the general public because of the high-profile nature of his case and potential rule violations.

Defense attorneys also claim Lil Durk had no behavioral issues during the 11 months he spent in general population before being moved to SHU.

The government’s stance on the Apple Watch accusation has also been described as inconsistent.

Officials say the SHU placement is unrelated to the FBI’s investigation or any charging decision, yet they also claim the Bureau of Prisons is waiting to begin disciplinary proceedings until after a charging decision is made.

Lil Durk’s attorneys cited research on the psychological damage caused by extended solitary confinement, including depression, anxiety, social withdrawal and sensory issues.

The government has taken “no position” on the defense’s request for a status hearing.

Lil Durk is in federal custody after prosecutors charged him with murder for hire tied to a 2022 Los Angeles shooting that killed Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, the cousin of rival rapper Quando Rondo. Authorities allege Durk helped plan and fund the attack as retaliation for the 2020 killing of King Von.

He was arrested in Florida in October 2024 and extradited to California.

Judges have denied bond, citing the seriousness of the charges and concerns about flight risk. Durk has pleaded not guilty and remains jailed as he awaits trial.

Battle Rap Icon Tsu Surf Set To Be Freed After RICO Conviction

Tsu Surf is scheduled for release from federal prison on February 16, 2026, according to Federal Bureau of Prisons records.

The Newark battle rapper, born Rahjon Cox, has been serving a five-year federal sentence after pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy and possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.

His scheduled release date represents the culmination of a legal saga that began with a 2022 RICO indictment targeting alleged members of the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips.

Surf was sentenced in 2023 by U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton. The judge also imposed three years of supervised release and a $15,000 fine as part of his punishment. The charges stemmed from prosecutors’ allegations that Surf was an active member of the Silverbacc Gorillas (SBG) set within the larger Crips organization.

Originally, federal prosecutors sought up to 30 years in prison, 20 for racketeering conspiracy and 10 for the firearm charge, along with a combined $500,000 in fines.

However, Surf’s April 2023 guilty plea during a virtual hearing significantly reduced his potential sentencing exposure. By admitting to both the racketeering conspiracy and firearm possession charges, he avoided the possibility of decades behind bars.

The battle rap legend built his reputation through lyrical dexterity and memorable performances, establishing himself as one of the scene’s most respected competitors. His legal troubles created uncertainty about his future in the culture that made him famous.

While February 16, 2026, is his official release date, federal inmates may be released earlier through good-behavior credits or placement in halfway houses.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons maintains discretion over such decisions based on individual circumstances and institutional conduct.

Rapper Who Collaborated With NBA YoungBoy Killed in Drive-By Shooting

Durham rapper Billy Resio was gunned down in a drive-by shooting Sunday night, cutting short the life of an artist who had just signed with Rich Nation Entertainment LLC, which has artists like Petey Pablo on the label.

The 30-year-old performer, whose real name was Irease Jeffrey, died at the hospital after someone in a passing vehicle opened fire on his car.

Police said Jeffrey was driving his 2024 Chevrolet Malibu west on Hillsborough Road around 9 P.M. when a second vehicle pulled alongside and began shooting. The attack happened in the 3500 block of Hillsborough Road, where Jeffrey lost control of his car before it came to rest in a nearby parking lot.

A woman passenger in Jeffrey’s car suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Durham police have not released her identity or current condition, and no arrests have been announced in connection with the shooting.

Jeffrey performed under the stage name Billy Resio and had recently collaborated with NBA YoungBoy on the track Labeled Me Top Shotta. The song was distributed through Rich Nation Entertainment LLC, the Miami-based label that had signed Jeffrey to develop his career.

Rich Nation CEO Michael Mitchell said Jeffrey was planning to relocate from Durham to Miami to focus on his music career. Mitchell described the rapper as having natural talent and said they had discussed moving Jeffrey away from the violence in Durham.

View this post on Instagram

“He was just a natural, like he was born to do it,” Mitchell told WRAL News. “Wish I could have saved him because we had talked about him moving out of Durham and coming down here to Miami.”

Jeffrey’s music catalog included tracks like “No Lie” and “Bonnie and Clyde,” showcasing his lyrical abilities and emotional depth. Mitchell said Jeffrey’s collaboration with NBA YoungBoy demonstrated Jeffrey’s potential for mainstream success.

The shooting adds to Durham’s ongoing struggle with gun violence, which claimed multiple lives during the holiday period. Jeffrey leaves behind a one-year-old son, whom Mitchell said was the center of the rapper’s world.

“He wanted to be to his son what his father was to him,” Mitchell said, adding that Jeffrey’s music would have taken off if given more time to develop.

Durham police have not provided information about potential suspects or whether the shooter and victims knew each other. The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine the motive behind the attack.

Mitchell posted tributes on social media calling Jeffrey “pure heart, raw truth, hunger, and loyalty,” promising that his artist’s legacy would be protected. The CEO said Jeffrey’s unreleased music would continue to be promoted through Rich Nation Entertainment.

The fatal shooting occurred during a violent start to 2026 in Durham, where gun violence has become a persistent problem affecting the local music community. Jeffrey’s death represents another loss of young talent to street violence in North Carolina.

Police are asking anyone with information about the Hillsborough Road shooting to contact Durham investigators as they work to identify the suspects responsible for Jeffrey’s death.

BigXThaPlug Says No To Ozempic & BBL, Yes To Working Out

BigXThaPlug hit the gym and hit record, using his Instagram to shut down rumors and reclaim the narrative around his body transformation as he kicks off the new year with a focus on health and longevity.

The Dallas rapper known for his booming presence and breakout track “The Largest” is now aiming to get smaller, on purpose. Weighing in at nearly 440 pounds and standing 6 feet 2 inches tall, BigXThaPlug has long stood out in Hip-Hop for more than just his bars.

But now, he’s making it clear that his weight loss is the result of sweat equity, not surgery or shortcuts.

“See, the only reason I’m showing y’all this s### is that n#### really putting in this work, sweat and all this other s###, is because I don’t need y’all m############ popping out saying, ‘oh, BigXThaPlug got a BBL, got his body done.’ No, no, n####. This is all hard work, dedication, n####. Come on, man,” he said in a video posted to his Instagram, where he documented his workout routine.

The rapper emphasized that his motivation isn’t vanity, it’s vitality.

“Yeah, get up, get active, drink some water, hit that gym. I’ve been rich. Now it’s time for me to be wealthy. Come on, man.”

BigXThaPlug, who has built a loyal following by defying traditional Hip-Hop aesthetics, said his decision to get fit is about more than image. It’s about redefining what success looks like beyond the charts and the chains.

“And I know some of y’all might not understand that. Y’all saying, oh, what you mean you already rich, now you’re trying to be wealthy? They say health is wealth. I got the money. Now I need to be healthy so I can be wealthy. You dig,” he added.

His transparency comes at a time when celebrity transformations often spark speculation about cosmetic procedures or prescription aids like Ozempic.

BigXThaPlug made it clear: he’s not about that life. He’s grinding for every pound lost.

Cardi B Grocery Run For Onions Becomes Viral Moment For Shopper

A Massachusetts woman turned her regular Sunday grocery shopping into an unforgettable celebrity encounter when she bumped into Cardi B at a Dedham Star Market on January 5, 2026.

Lanasia Bentley from Stoughton was finishing up her weekend brunch plans at Legacy Place when she decided to grab some groceries at the nearby Star Market around 2 P.M. that afternoon.

Bentley immediately noticed something unusual when she arrived at the store: a massive Cadillac truck with New York license plates parked prominently outside the entrance.

“I’m thinking to myself, who parks in front of a grocery store like they own the whole place,” Bentley explained in a TikTok video she posted about the encounter.

According to Mass Live, the Stoughton resident went about her normal shopping routine without expecting anything out of the ordinary to happen during her quick grocery run.

Bentley was reaching for an onion in the produce section when she suddenly found herself face-to-face with the Grammy Award-winning rapper who was shopping for the same vegetable.

“I was like, oh my gosh Cardi, how are you doing,” Bentley recalled saying when she recognized the famous musician standing right next to her.

@lanasiab GRWM to meet @cardibglobal ✪ ♬ original sound – Naybaeee 💝

The rapper appeared to be dealing with some personal matters and seemed preoccupied during their brief interaction, responding that she was doing “fine” when Bentley greeted her. Bentley quickly apologized for interrupting and asked if they could take a picture together. Cardi B agreed, saying, “Come on, girl,” before posing for a selfie.

The two women snapped a photo together before Bentley wished the rapper well and told her to enjoy her time in Massachusetts. Despite appearing to have other things on her mind, Bentley emphasized that Cardi B remained friendly and accommodating throughout their unexpected meeting at the store.

Cardi B is currently in a relationship with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, and the couple reportedly made Massachusetts their home base after purchasing property in the area. The couple welcomed their first child together in November 2025 and reportedly closed on a $2.5 million luxury home in Easton, Massachusetts, in December 2025.

Diggs is currently facing legal challenges stemming from felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault charges related to an alleged December 2025 incident involving his personal chef.

The Patriots player has denied all allegations through his legal representatives, calling the claims “unsubstantiated” and “uncorroborated” in public statements.

Bentley’s grocery store encounter with Cardi B comes just weeks after the rapper was spotted strolling around Nordstroms in the Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland, where she remained cordial and took a selfie with a fan.
