We have new information about the tragic death of Arizona Cardinals defensive end Josh Mauro.
Mauro passed away in April at the age of 35.
And a Phoenix Police Department report about his final days reveals a great deal about the circumstances that led to his tragic end.
Investigative records obtained by the New York Post allege Mauro spent four days using cocaine and drinking heavily with an exotic dancer before his death on April 23.
The report states that Mauro and the woman remained inside a Florida residence for several days, repeatedly using cocaine and consuming alcohol.
According to law enforcement documents cited by the outlet, the woman told investigators Mauro snorted a line of cocaine before suffering what appeared to be a medical emergency.
She reportedly attempted CPR before calling 911. Emergency responders arrived at the home, but Mauro could not be revived.
The newly released investigative details provide additional context surrounding Mauro’s death, which shocked the football world earlier this year.
In June, the Maricopa County Medical Examiner ruled that Mauro died from the combined toxic effects of fentanyl, cocaine, and ethanol, determining his death to be accidental.
Toxicology findings showed the presence of all three substances in his system.
Mauro entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2014 after playing college football at Stanford. Over the course of his professional career, he suited up for the Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders, and Denver Broncos.
He appeared in 80 regular-season games, making 40 starts while recording 130 tackles, five sacks, 13 quarterback hits, five passes defended, and two forced fumbles before playing his final NFL season in 2021.
News of Mauro’s death prompted tributes from former teammates and the organizations he played for, with many remembering him as a respected teammate and dedicated professional.
The latest report paints a heartbreaking picture of the circumstances leading up to his death while underscoring the dangers associated with illicit drug use. Although investigators have now disclosed additional details from their investigation, the medical examiner has already ruled Mauro’s death an accident.

Tom Brady is arguably the greatest football player of all time.
So when his time on the field came to an end, it made sense that he would step into the broadcast booth, buy a stake in an NFL team, and bask in his status as the sport’s premiere elder statesman.
This new phase of his career, however? Yeah, we don’t think anyone saw this coming.
As we previously reported, Brady slapped Logan Paul at Fanatics Fest over the weekend.
The pair purported to be in the midst of a heated argument, but pretty much everyone who’s seen the footage immediately clocked it as a publicity stunt.
The charade continued at the World Cup Final on Sunday, where Brady and Paul were spotted conspicuously flipping their middle fingers at one another.
The theory is that Brady is planning a foray into the realm of pro wrestling with the help of his friend, billionaire Fanatics founder Michael Rubin.
And many observers — some of them longtime Brady supporters — are not fans of this new phase in the GOAT’s career.
One such critic is Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.
“Can somebody please shake Tom Brady and tell him to get as far away from Michael Rubin as possible and stop lamifying his entire legacy,” Portnoy wrote on X (formerly Twitter) today.
The tweet echoes comments that Portnoy made on a recent Barstool podcast.
“[This is] a legacy that is being lame-ified,” Portnoy said (via Page Six).
“You don’t want to see him mixed up in lowbrow TikTok flag football leagues in Saudi Arabia or whatever it is. Everything about him is cringey right now to me.”
Many have criticized Brady’s sudden interest in bizarre publicity stunts following his multiple interactions with Paul over the weekend.
Others argued that this is really nothing new, as Brady has a long history of problematic behavior (including his rumored relationship with Alix Earle).
“Tom Brady was involved in a crypto scam, sold people a bunch of junk science, strong-armed his way into a minority ownership position while remaining an analyst, and is probably (definitely) dating someone half his age,” wrote sports journalist Keagan Stiefel,” adding:
“WWE, though. THAT is where we draw the line…”
But perhaps the best take comes from NFL commentator Kyle Brandt, who quipped that Brady’s involvement with the WWE is “like Daniel Day-Lewis going on Love Island.”
The biggest difference, of course, is that, unlike Brady stepping into a WWE ring, DDL on Love Island is something we’d actually like to see.

More than just a technology conference, WordCamp Rajshahi became a place where people connected, exchanged ideas, and inspired one another to contribute to the future of WordPress.
Sharing Knowledge That Matters
The conference featured a diverse lineup of local and international speakers who shared practical experiences, real-world case studies, and emerging trends shaping the web today.
Artificial intelligence was one of the most discussed topics throughout the event. Sessions explored how AI is transforming the way developers and businesses work—from integrating AI into WordPress without writing code to building customer support agents, using modern Large Language Models (LLMs) for development, debugging applications, and improving everyday workflows.
Performance, architecture, and security also received significant attention. Speakers demonstrated advanced WordPress optimization techniques, object caching strategies, no-code animations using GSAP, methods for identifying system vulnerabilities, and practical approaches to cleaning malware-infected WordPress websites with AI.
Beyond technical sessions, the conference emphasized personal and professional growth. Attendees learned about building successful careers, transitioning from startups to multinational companies, product marketing, the realities of remote work, and maintaining mental well-being while working in the technology industry.
Contributor Day: Giving Back to WordPress
Contributor Day, held on July 2, served as one of the most meaningful parts of the event.
Participants worked alongside experienced WordPress contributors and Table Leads to improve the WordPress project itself. Whether they contributed to Core, Accessibility, Themes, Plugins, Polyglots (translations), Education, or Photos, attendees experienced firsthand how community collaboration built the global WordPress ecosystem.
For many first-time contributors, it was their first opportunity to make a direct contribution to one of the world’s largest open-source projects.
Campus Connect: Inspiring the Next Generation
One of the highlights of WordCamp Rajshahi 2026 was the Campus Connect initiative.
To encourage student participation in open source, 40 university students received complimentary tickets to attend the event. This initiative introduced young learners to the WordPress community, allowing them to interact with experienced professionals, attend technical sessions, and discover opportunities to contribute to open source.

Not every aspect of the messy lives of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City stars is for show.
Sometimes, drama unfolds when the cameras aren’t rolling.
For Angie Katsanevas and Shawn Trujillo, it means the end of their marriage.
After three decades together, they two have separated. But why?
It’s over!
Page Six reports that, according to multiple inside sources, Katsanevas and Trujillo have separated.
The couple married in June of 1999.
They also share a 15-year-old daughter, Elektra.
However, they are no longer together romantically and may be on the path to a more formal divorce.
Though Page Six only received confirmation of this news on Monday, July 20, there were hints as early as last month.
Last month was June. It was 27 years since the two married.
Katsanevas did not appear to post any public acknowledgment of this milestone. Certainly not on her Instagram page — which, as with most Housewives, is her primary social media account.
Keep in mind that it’s not as though she was on a social media hiatus.
In June, for example, she did post — even a post about how she and Trujillo met in the ’90s when she booked a hair appointment.
(If you’re unfamiliar, the two co-founded Lunatic Fringe Salon the same year that they married.)
Will the breakup play out on ‘RHOSLC’ Season 7?
Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has yet to premiere.
It began filming back in late February.
Production reportedly wrapped in late May.
With that in mind, it’s almost impossible to say whether whatever relationship friction played into their separation will appear on Season 7.
It’s possible that they had fights or disagreements or some scandal the whole time. It’s also possible that someone watching the show but not following news about the cast will be none the wiser about the split until the Reunion airs.
Season 4 was Katsanevas’ first time as a full Housewife.
It was also the season that saw her grapple with a rumor that Trujillo was cheating on her.
(Specifically, the affair rumor claimed that he was hooking up with men on the side. Both partners took issue with the infidelity claim, but affirmed that they weren’t going to go to a homophobic place with their denials.)
Now, in 2025, we did see some friction between Trujillo and Katsanevas — with the former accusing the latter of being a little too intense and unwilling to unwind.
It’s possible that running a business together and being parents caused them to take time away from themselves as a couple.
But we don’t yet know the official cause of the separation. Perhaps, when Season 7 premieres later this year, we’ll learn the reason if we don’t know it already.
