The latest public figure to come out vehemently against Clancy is Sen. Ted Cruz.
In a recent interview, the firebrand Republican lashed out at Clancy as “despicable” and a “monster of a mother.”

“This is the modern version of the O.J. Simpson trial,” Cruz told Newsmax this week.
“In this instance, there is no dispute that this monster of a mother murdered all three children … and didn’t just murder them — slowly, deliberately, systematically used exercise bands to strangle the life out one after the other after the other.”
Clearly, Cruz sides with the lone holdout juror (more on him later) who believed that Clancy should be held criminally liable for the deaths of her children.
Clancy’s outspoken attorney, Kevin Reddington, was quick to respond to his remarks.
“Senator Cruz, you, sir, are despicable. You clearly do not come close to understanding the basic concept of postpartum psychosis. Quite frankly, that is not surprising,” he said, adding”
“You obviously do not know the first thing about mental health or the woeful state of medical and psychiatric care in our country. Instead of making a rational observation, you call for her execution.”
Reddington concluded by challenging Cruz to discuss the case with him directly.
“You know where to find me,” he said.
Eleven of the twelve jurors voted to acquit Clancy, but one man stood firm in his belief that Clancy’s postpartum psychosis did not excuse her actions.
A different juror, Paula Devlin, offered new details about the holdout’s identity in an interview with Gayle King.
“Was the person of color a woman or a man?” King asked this morning. After Devlin replied in the affirmative, King asked:
“Is the holdout juror… a person of c– a black man?” Again, Devlin said yes.
“A black man is the holdout juror?” King reiterated, to which Devlin replied, “Yes.”
“Woah, I have to sit with that for just a second,” King replied.
Needless to say, this case and the controversy surrounding it have become highly emotional issues for many observers. And it’s unlikely that those emotions will die down anytime soon.
A couple of years ago, the world first heard a claim that Queen Elizabeth was furious over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s choice.
They named their daughter after her.
Now, the alleged miscommunication and a description of the late monarch’s reaction to the name are sending shockwaves online.
Why did Elizabeth allegedly throw a paper in “disgust” at the name?

They told Queen Elizabeth ‘we’re going to name our daughter after you’
On June 4, 2021, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their second child, Princess Lilibet.
The duke and duchess shared shortly after her birth that the late queen fully endorsed the name, which was her own childhood nickname.
(Even The Crown viewers know that many family members called her this, beginning in childhood.)
However, that account has been in dispute following Harry’s grandmother’s death.
A royalist is sharing how Elizabeth allegedly learned about Lilibet’s name, and her dramatic, visceral reaction.
Royal historian Robert Jobson put forward the claim that Elizabeth was unhappy in The Windsor Legacy.
Now, on The Royalist Substack, he’s sharing precise details of her alleged reaction.
“They did have a conversation, but they didn’t say Lilibet,” he claimed. “They said, ‘We’re going to name our daughter after you.’”
According to Jobson, “And the queen went, ‘How lovely,’ thinking that the daughter would be named Elizabeth.”
Apparently, it took a newspaper headline for the late monarch to learn her great-granddaughter’s name.
‘She threw it on the floor in disgust’
“When she found out it was Lilibet, my sources said she only read about it in the paper,” Jobson claimed of Queen Elizabeth II.
“And she threw it on the floor in disgust,” he alleged.
“She was really upset,” Jobson explained.
He continued: “Because she said, that’s my name, that my father and my grandfather used to call me, and it was unique to me.”
Some cultures have a custom of always naming children after a living relative. Other cultures have a custom of literally never doing this. It sounds like, if this is true, this incident was merely a miscommunication.
It is unfortunate that, following Elizabeth’s death, a number of people have come out of the woodwork to portray her as a rancid, awful person.
Certainly, as ceremonial Head of State for the UK and as head of the British monarchy, she represented many abhorrent things.
But despite Prince Philip’s reputation and some anecdotes about his behavior, there are stories — even small, anonymous ones that did not originate with the royal PR machine — of Elizabeth showing extraordinary kindness.
(And, by all accounts, Harry was her favorite grandchild; the two indisputably shared a special bond.)
When you are trapped in a bubble in which everyone hates a woman for reasons that are vague at best (please, explain to us, like we’re stupid, how anyone could rationally “hate” Meghan Markle), a story of someone reacting to that person with a cartoonish tantrum might sound like praise. To normal people, however, the unsubstantiated claim make Elizabeth sound like a very unpleasant person.
I know everyone has been waiting to hear what’s been going on behind the scenes, so I’m just going to lay it out: I’ve made an offer to buy Ryan Phelan and Stewart Brand’s houseboat Mirene.
People say “the two happiest days of a boaters life is when you buy the boat and sell the boat” but I’m not always the best at following advice, so I’m going all-in on this cute little tuggy.
Anybody who’s founded a company and had to find good stewards knows that no one will love a thing quite like the original owner, but sometimes you can find the perfect person to carry the torch. I was happy to take on and upgrade John Mayer’s EarthRoamer for about five years.
Then I passed it on to Dustin Yellin, trading for some of his art. But without a high-maintenance means of conveyance, I’ve felt a hole in my heart and really boxed in and constrained. So from land, to the sea!
Real artists ship, right? Longevity is all about maintenance, and I’m looking forward to all the lessons Mirene and the ocean will teach as we navigate the weather of the coming years. If the offer is accepted, I have a lot to learn from Ryan and Stewart about what’s next.
The anniversary saw widespread debate about Kirk’s legacy and quite a few tributes from the late pundit’s famous friends.
Donald Trump Jr. was one such friend — and his post honoring Kirk has sparked a firestorm of controversy.

On Thursday, Don Jr. marked the anniversary of Kirk’s death by sharing several photos of the two of them on X.
“Miss you so much buddy!!!” he captioned the post.
The photos included one shot of Don Jr. with Kirk, Vice President JD Vance, and Kid Rock at an event. Another showed the president’s eldest son standing alongside Kirk in the snow.
It was a seemingly straightforward tribute to a longtime friend. But the internet had other ideas.
Rather than receiving an outpouring of support, Don Jr. was hit with criticism from some commenters who accused him — and his father, President Donald Trump — of failing Kirk and his family.
“Truly disgusting how you guys have betrayed Charlie. Your dad wouldn’t (have) won without Charlie and Tucker (Carlson),” one person replied (via Radar Online).
The commenter also referenced Trump’s response in the aftermath of Kirk’s assassination, claiming the president quickly shifted the conversation toward his plans for a White House ballroom.
Another critic declared, “The day Trump lost my support,” before similarly referencing Trump’s comments about the ballroom.
“You miss him cause he can’t help your dad win the midterms,” a third person wrote.
Someone else was even more blunt, accusing the Trump family of viewing Kirk primarily as a political asset.
“Charlie Kirk was someone to use to get what you all wanted!!!” the commenter alleged.
That criticism stands in stark contrast to the way Don Jr. spoke about Kirk immediately following his death.
At the time, Don Jr. described Kirk as being like a “little brother” and praised him as one of the most courageous and principled people he had ever known.
“He was one of the most courageous, principled men I’ve ever known, and he lived every day with purpose,” Don Jr. wrote.
He also described Kirk’s death as an “unimaginable loss” for his family, friends, and the country.
Throughout the country, Kirk supporters gathered to honor his legacy on Thursday, with tributes taking place at the university and at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas.
To his credit, Don Jr.’s message seems like it was meant as a genuine tribute to someone he considered a close friend.
But given how inauthentic he’s shown himself to be over the years, it’s not surprising that so many have been skeptical.
The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 hold a special meaning for actor and comedian Pete Davidson.
He was only a little kid on the fateful day that has triggered decades of American decline — and claimed the life of his father, Scott, who was just 33.
Now, Pete is about to turn 33 himself in two months. He is also now a father.
25 years after the fact, he’s struggling to figure out how he’ll one day explain the tragedy to his daughter.

Pete Davidson is about to be the same age as his father was on 9/11
Pete Davidson spoke to The New York Post just ahead of the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
His father, Scott, was a New York City firefighter with Ladder Company 118 in Brooklyn Heights.
“I thought, ‘Oh, he was an old guy. He’s 33,’” Pete shared, partially in jest.
(Many Millennials grew up believing that 30 was much older than it actually is, in part due to the habits of previous generations — from tanning to smoking to having children at younger ages.)
“But now I’m there, and I have a kid,” Pete reasoned, “and that would be like my kid not having her dad.”
The question Pete Davidson will never forget being asked after his father’s death…

This is, in fact, Pete’s first 9/11 as a father. He turns 33 in November.
“So this year is extra tough,” Pete acknowledged.
“But also extra beautiful,” he affirmed, “because I get to spend the day with Scottie.”
Yes, the daughter he welcomed with Elsie Hewitt last December is named after his father.
“It’ll be very healing and special,” Pete anticipated.
‘Luckily, I have some time’ before she asks about her late grandfather
Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt ended up splitting just 5 months after Scottie was born. However, they found a lot of common ground before that.
“It was really cool that Elsie also wanted to name her Scottie,” he expressed.
“My dad’s name was Scott, but his nickname was Scotty,” Pete shared.
“When she arrived,” he recalled, “we both looked at her and were like, ‘She looks like a Scottie.’”
Pete added: “It’s nice to keep that name alive.”
ironically, the whole Riyadh Comedy Festival has given me a worse opinion of every one of those comedians except Pete Davidson. there’s something to be said for without shame demanding, “you guys kinda killed my dad, I’m gonna need $2 million for an hour’s work.”
According to Pete, Scottie has already shown a sort of fascination with his father’s portrait. “I don’t know what I believe in,” he admitted, “but I like to think that his presence is somehow around.”
Though he has not figured out how to explain the tragedy, or his father’s heroic death, he remembers that “luckily, I have some time” before talking his 10-month-old through the events of 9/11.
“Honestly, this year is way harder than it’s been in a really long time because I have Scottie,” Pete reflected. “And now I’m the age that my dad was when he died. So I’m just kind of like, ‘Holy s–t.’”
Obviously, Pete experienced his father’s death from his own perspective. Now he can more keenly imagine what it must be like to rush into danger to save lives, knowing that you might never see your child again.
On a brighter note, he added: “I have old videos and pictures and stuff, and I’m excited to share the classic stories I have of him with her.”
Now, Jinger is parting ways with the Jinger & Jeremy podcast and she is rebranding.
What’s next?

Jinger Duggar is saying goodbye to Jeremy Vuolo (as her podcasting partner)
On YouTube, Jinger Duggar has wiped her husband’s name away from her channel and added a new name.
“We have been having some pretty life-altering conversations on the phone, like, literally life-altering,” Jinger shared with their fans and followers on the Wednesday, September 9 episode.
“We’re starting the Call Your Sister podcast,” she announced on the Call Your Sister podcast, as you can see below.
This comes after weeks of having Joy-Anna as her guest host instead of Jeremy, as the sisters covered topics from only learning good hygiene habits after getting married to addressing how their brothers’ scandals have impacted their family.
According to Joy, the idea to update the podcast was Jinger’s idea, one that she brought up on one of their regular, lengthy phone calls.
However, both sisters were quick to credit Jeremy for really making it happen. Sure.
‘Here we are’
“And so, anyway, conversations had just happened from there,” Joy-Anna Duggar summarized while explaining how she and Jinger had reached this point.
She added: “It’s been a while of just talking, planning, figuring out logistics, but it’s happening. Here we are.”
Sure enough, the podcasting room received a makeover and appears to reflect a little more personality than before.
If you have enough money and space to have your own podcasting space like this, it doesn’t need to be as bland as the ones where people rent a recording room and have maybe 5-to-15 minutes to set up and take things down at the end of the day.
But why isn’t this a three-person podcast, with Jeremy remaining involved? Surely someone out there will miss him, right?

Jinger explained why Jeremy is no longer her co-host, even though he very much remains her husband.
“He’s just in a very busy season of life, working a full-time job,” Jinger explained.
(As we have previously covered, “season” is in-group speak in evangelical and especially fundamentalist circles for a time in people’s lives; using this diction separates the in-group from the out-group.)
“He’s also, like, trying to finish up his Doctor of Ministry degree and also starting a Bible study,” Jinger added.
“Since he’s in such a busy season,” she reiterated, “he’s going to be the producer of this podcast and help us out a little bit.”
This change is actually going pretty well among people who follow the Duggar daughters but are leery at best of the husbands.
