We interrupt the “problematic Caitlin Clark” discourse to bring you an unrelated WNBA controversy.

Just weeks after opening up about their journey to parenthood, Brittney and Cherelle Griner’s marriage has come to an end.

According to court records obtained by People, the WNBA star filed for divorce from her wife in Fulton County, Georgia, on Thursday, citing that the marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

The filing reportedly states that the couple separated on July 24. Griner is also requesting that the court establish a parenting plan for the couple’s 2-year-old son, Bash, as part of the divorce proceedings.

Neither Brittney nor Cherelle has publicly commented on the split.

The news comes as a surprise to many fans, particularly because the couple had recently been speaking openly about their relationship and the challenges they overcame while building their family.

Griner and Cherelle, an attorney, first met while attending Baylor University, but didn’t begin dating until years later.

They married in 2019 and became one of the WNBA’s most recognizable couples during Griner’s arrest in Russia in 2022.

Throughout Griner’s nearly 10-month imprisonment, Cherelle became the public face of the campaign to secure her wife’s release, regularly appearing in interviews and meeting with government officials to keep attention focused on the case.

Griner was ultimately freed in December 2022 in a high-profile prisoner exchange.

The couple welcomed their son, Bash, in July 2024, with Griner later describing motherhood as one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. Earlier this year, she said that coming home to her son’s smile instantly made even the toughest days better.

As recently as June, Brittney and Cherelle appeared together on the ANDMOM podcast, where they discussed the emotional toll Griner’s detention took on their plans to start a family through IVF.

Cherelle admitted they weren’t sure they were in the right emotional place when they moved forward with the process, while Griner reflected on writing a heartbreaking letter from prison, in which she encouraged her wife to move on if she never made it home. Cherelle refused, remaining committed throughout the ordeal.

That public display of resilience makes the divorce all the more unexpected.

For now, however, the reasons behind the split remain private.

Court documents reportedly cite only the standard legal grounds that the marriage is beyond repair, and neither Griner nor Cherelle has offered any additional explanation.

With a young son now at the center of their lives, attention will likely turn to how the former couple navigates co-parenting as the divorce moves through the legal process.

Excited for North West’s upcoming tour?

Maybe rethink that.

The 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has abruptly called off her upcoming tour dates.

Her first show would have been just days from now. What happened?

Ticketmaster says it’s over (sort of)

This is going to ruin the tour.

On Friday, July 31, TMZ reported that North has “pulled the plug” on a couple of her upcoming tour dates.

Wednesday, August 5, she would have gone on stage for her first performance alongside rapper Molly Santana.

The show was scheduled for Dallas, Texas.

Now, however, Ticketmaster shows that the August 5 show is canceled. And it’s only the first.

Ticketmaster also shows that North’s August 17 performance in Toronto has been canceled.

Previously, there had been a website to promote the “Kimokawaii” tour.

That site appears to be gone — as if it had never existed at all.

Maybe it will return.

Or maybe not. Normally, if the tour is still happening, you make it known.

Is that hope on the horizon?

Interestingly, North and Molly were supposed to perform on August 25 in San Francisco.

That tour is not officially canceled, as of early Friday afternoon.

Ticketmaster still has the two scheduled to perform at “The Midway” venue on that date.

However, anyone looking forward to attending might want to look for word from North … or, dare we say it, from an adult … for added clarity.

At the very least, many folks may consider that performance to be in limbo at present.

Did you know that North has a music career?

Her album came out in May.

North’s famous family has been very supportive. Obviously. Releasing an album and playing concerts at 13 happens if you are a singular talent or if your family is extremely wealthy and supportive.

They’ve shown themselves enjoying her music, or at least seeming to, since the album dropped.

Perhaps an explanation will come soon about what befell the canceled tour dates. And, of course, some clarity about the seemingly not-yet-canceled showing.

Last week, retired Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (a lesser charge than DUI).

In recent years, Romo has launched a second career as one of the most beloved broadcasters in the world of sports media.

But it looks as though his job at CBS might be under threat in the wake of his recent legal woes.

According to a new report from the New York Post, Romo is officially on leave from the network just weeks before the NFL season is set to begin.

CBS’ first regular season broadcast will take place on September 13, during Week 1 of the NFL season.

Former Pittsburgh Steeler and second-year broadcaster J.J. Watt is currently slated to take Romo’s place in the broadcast booth alongside Jim Nantz.

Romo was returning from the Wisconsin Amateur Championship golf tournament when he was pulled over while traveling south on Interstate 43.

According to a citation, Romo “drove in the marked right distress lane to pass vehicles in lanes 1 and 2 during rush hour traffic” before he “cut across the marked gore.”

Though he told officers that he had had “zero” drinks, he was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests.

Video of Romo’s arrest has left social media users divided, with some claiming that the former QB did not appear to be intoxicated, while others alleged that he was glassy-eyed and slow to react.

Though clearly baffled at being pulled over, Romo was courteous with police throughout the encounter.

“Because I’m coming from a golf course, you think I’m drunk?” he asked at one point.

In a different citation viewed by the Post, one officer reported that Romo had an “open bottle of an alcoholic beverage” located on the passenger side of his Jeep, and he “refused to take test for intoxication after arrest.”

According to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office, the allegations against Romo constitute “a traffic violation and not a criminal charge in Wisconsin.”

The 46-year-old is scheduled for a court hearing on September 21, but is not required to attend. He is facing a total of $1,568.50 in fines.

Romo has yet to publicly comment on the situation, and it’s unclear at this time if he will eventually be reinstated at CBS.

Is Kylie Kelce pregnant?

Fans have been abuzz over photos of the beloved podcaster after her recent trip to Paris.

Kylie’s had a lot to say about pregnancy in the past. That includes some of the less glamorous side-effects.

Now, she’s seen the comments and pregnancy speculation. What does she have to say?

‘I don’t know how many times we have to go over this’

On the Thursday, July 30 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kylie reacted to the conversation.

You know what’s f–ked up? Commenting on women’s bodies. That’s it, that’s the whole thought,” she began.

“But specifically commenting on the possibility of a pregnancy,” Kylie opined. “I don’t know how many times we have to go over this.”

She admitted that she “had no idea” that there was speculation until she saw comment after comment on Instagram.

“‘Is it the dress? Or is that a little baby bump?’ Oh. Nope, don’t worry it gets worse,” Kylie shared. “The next comment said, ‘I see a baby bump.’ That was confident. … The next one says, ‘She’s pregnant????’”

For the record, Kylie confirmed that she is not pregnant at this time, exclaiming that she already has four children.

Wyatt is 6. Ellie is 5. Bennett is 3. And Finn is only 16 months old.

(Medical advice wouldn’t even recommend that Kylie get pregnant again for another 8 months … if at all.)

“I have so many kids that over the last week, I have had three different people forget that I had four kids and thought I had three,” Kylie admitted.

“I have so many kids that one’s getting forgotten along the way,” she pointed out. “Stop trying to get me to have more. Stop it.”

‘I have made four human beings’

When it comes to whether or not to have an ill-advised fifth child, Kylie said that that conversation is “between me, my husband, and my motherf–king uterus.”

Well said!

Kylie also laid into what was clearly body-shaming, intentional or otherwise, embedded in the pregnancy speculation.

“Am I 100 percent pre-baby body?” she asked. “No, because that’s never happening.”

Kylie then affirmed: “And that’s OK, because I have made four human beings.”

For her part, Kylie has adopted an extremely wise and relatable approach to discussing whether someone else is pregnant.

“Unless you tell me that you are pregnant — you say the words, ‘I have a baby in my belly’ — or you are cupping your belly, that’s your body and it is existing,” she reasoned.

Kylie added: “And I am not going to form an opinion or a rumor about it.”

Don’t congratulate someone (or leave comments under their photos) unless they have announced the pregnancy. Not until you see the baby’s head crown. Maybe not even then.

Or, as Kylie urged her listeners: “Cut this s–t out.”

Stassi Schroeder is no stranger to showcasing a toxic relationship on reality TV.

The woman dated Jax Taylor, for Pete’s sake.

But these days, Stassi is older, wiser, and more mature — and her marriage to Beau Clark seems to be much healthier than her earlier romances.

Which is why fans are shocked to see the couple’s dark side showcased on House of Stassi.

The new Hulu show follows the former Vanderpump Rules star as she balances a booming career with raising two young children alongside Clark. But behind the polished social media posts, the couple reveals they’re facing some very real relationship struggles.

The entire eight-episode first season dropped on Thursday, and viewers expressed surprise at scenes in which Clark became emotional while discussing how much their relationship has changed since he stepped away from his career as a casting director to become the family’s primary caregiver.

“I’ve felt angry and resentful,” he admitted, explaining that he often feels more like a roommate than a husband.

Clark said he has struggled with losing his sense of identity after leaving the workforce, adding that staying home with the couple’s children has taken a toll on his mental health.

At one point, Beau even compared himself to “a 1950s housewife,” saying he feels unfulfilled despite loving his family.

The candid confession caught Stassi by surprise.

She acknowledged that she hadn’t realized just how unhappy her husband had become and admitted she wished he had shared his feelings sooner.

She told Clark that she has no desire to stop working, even suggesting she would financially support him if he wanted to stay home permanently.

Instead, he said he misses having a career of his own and wants to return to casting because it gives him a sense of purpose. He emphasized that his frustration stems from feeling disconnected from himself, not from resentment toward Schroeder’s success.

By the end of their emotional conversation, Schroeder promised to make more of an effort to reconnect with her husband and prioritize their relationship alongside their careers and parenting responsibilities.

Recently, Tori Spelling has been a podcast girlie before anything else.

With her long-awaited divorce and a lot of debt, you’d also think that she needs to keep active in anything that she can.

However, Tori has abruptly vanished from her Beverly Hills, 90210 rewatch podcast with former co-star Jennie Garth.

What happened?

After 6 years, it’s over

On Thursday, July 30, Tori took to an Instagram Live to announce her abrupt exit from 90210MG.

She and Jennie launched their rewatch podcast in 2020.

We can all think about how much has happened in that time and how much Tori’s life, in particular, has evolved as they walked down memory lane.

Tori offered only the vague explanation that she plans to pursue other projects.

She did, however, encourage fans to continue to listen to Jennie’s now-solo takes on Beverly Hills, 90210 episodes.

Us Weekly confirmed that Tori “has not participated on the podcast in recent weeks.”

However, that same report immediately stressed that Jennie “is passionately excited to continue to rewatch.”

Yes, we would imagine so.

“She plans to rewatch it to the end,” the report assured.

“And, the report then teased, Jennie will “include special guests and guests co-hosts from the series.”

They stopped on Season 8 … out of 10

Tori and Jennie were on Season 8 of the series.

Considering that this 10-season series ran from 1990 until 2000 — a very impressive run with few parallels — that’s an odd place to stop.

If your podcast isn’t popping off, you might call it quits in Season 3.

If you’ve had a great run, you stop at the series finale.

Stopping at Season 8, when you’re so close to the end, isn’t about the podcast. It means that there’s either something external to do … or a piece of personal friction.

However, Tori encouraging people to keep watching Jennie’s recaps seems like an effort to quash interpersonal conflict rumors.

There may be evidence that Tori is jumping ship because she wants to work with a different former co-star.
