Kendra Duggar’s Parents Launch GoFundMe For Legal Fees, ‘Safe Place to …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

It’s been a rough few weeks for Kendra Duggar.

First, her husband, Joseph Duggar, got arrested on child molestation charges.

Then, Kendra got arrested on child endangerment charges after cops searched her home and determined that she and Joseph had been locking their kids inside their bedrooms.

And now, her long-simmering feud against her own parents has exploded in epic fashion.

The first sign of trouble came during one of Joe’s phone calls to Kendra during the period of time when he was still behind bars, but she had been released on bail.

(These days, they’re both out on bail — after Jim Bob Duggar shelled out $600,000 to spring Joe.)

All of the calls were recorded, and in one of them, Joe and Kendra laughed about the necessity of evicting her parents.

Turns out they weren’t joking. Kendra’s folks, Paul and Christina Caldwell, are living in a house owned by their daughter and son-in-law. But not for much longer.

As The Ashley’s Reality Roundup first reported, Paul and Christina set up a GoFundMe page last week, explaining that they were “facing a difficult and urgent situation.”

“My family is facing a difficult and urgent situation,” he wrote on the page (which has since been deleted).

“We are in need of support to cover legal fees and secure safe housing. This has been an incredibly stressful time, and we are doing everything we can to protect ourselves and move forward,” he continued, adding:

“The funds raised will go directly toward legal representation to help us navigate the challenges ahead, as well as finding a safe place to live,” he continued. “Both are essential for our well-being and peace of mind.”

The situation has taken many fans by surprise, as Kendra used to be quite close with her parents.

Paul was even the Duggars’ pastor for a while, and you know how seriously the Duggars take their religion.

But about a year ago the Duggars and the Caldwells began to feud for reasons that are not entirely clear.

Paul didn’t get into all of that in his GoFundMe, but he noted that he and Kendra are raising money because they are “in need of support to cover legal fees and [to] secure safe housing.”

“Thank you all so much for your care, concern, and prayers during this difficult time,” he wrote, adding:

“We have set up this GoFundMe to help cover the unknown expenses of legal fees and housing. Anything you can do is a help—even if it’s just prayer. Your support means the world to us as we work to rebuild and find safety.”

Needless to say, there’s a lot of drama in the Duggar family these days. And things will only get more tense as Joe and Kendra prepare for their respective trials.

In a Surprising Move, UNC Will Reportedly Hire Michael Malone as Next Head Coach

North Carolina is hiring a coach with an NBA background to be its next men’s basketball head coach. However, it isn’t the NBA coach that many had speculated could become the next head man of the Tar Heels. Former Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone is expected to be hired as UNC’s next head coach, ESPN reported Monday. Malone, who helped coach the Nuggets to an NBA title in 2023, has never been a head coach at the college level, and hasn’t coached in the college game since 2001. Malone’s reported hire is a bit of a surprise. He wasn’t even speculated by most insiders as a potential candidate for the job, and there hadn’t been any credible reports indicating that UNC was interested in hiring him. Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan had been rumored as the top candidate for the job after Michigan’s Dusty May and Arizona’s Tommy Lloyd reportedly withdrew their names from consideration. Malone does have a connection to UNC’s athletic department, though. His daughter, Bridget, plays for the university’s women’s volleyball team. The reported hiring of Malone came nearly two weeks after UNC opted to fire head coach Hubert Davis after five seasons. Davis, who also played college basketball at UNC, went 125-54 over his tenure with the program, helping the Tar Heels play in the national championship game in his first season at the helm. But UNC opted to fire Davis after it blew a large lead to VCU in its upset loss in the first round of this year’s NCAA Tournament. It marked the second straight year that UNC failed to advance past the first round. Malone, 54, was widely regarded as one of the top head coaches in the NBA over his 10-year stint with the Nuggets. He’s gone 510-394 in his NBA head coaching career, helping Denver become a playoff mainstay by the end of his tenure before he was abruptly fired just days before the start of the 2025 NBA Playoffs. Malone was also previously the head coach of the Sacramento Kings, but was fired not long into his second season with the team in 2014. Prior to becoming an NBA assistant head coach in 2001, Malone was an assistant coach at Oakland, Providence and Manhattan.Latest Sports News from FOX Sports

Glenn Allen Beeman III Killed Parents and Self in Double-Murder-Suicide Over Easter …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Over the holiday weekend, a tragedy took place in Colorado.

Two estranged exes both died — both murdered.

Police discovered their son’s body at a second location. He appeared to have taken his own life.

They believe that it was he, Glenn Allen Beeman III, who committed a double-murder-suicide.

On Saturday, April 4, the Pueblo Police Department released a chilling statement.

“At approximately 1:01 a.m. on April 4, 2026, Pueblo Police Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of E. 4th Street following reports of a shooting,” the statement began.

“ShotSpotter had identified multiple gunshot rounds prior to the 911 call,” the announcement added.

“Upon arrival,” police reported, “officers discovered two deceased individuals: one in the roadway and the other inside a vehicle.”

Those were later identified as the bodies of Glenn Allen Beeman Jr., 40, and Amanda Leigh Manion, 41.

“While gathering information on the scene to include suspect information,” the police announcement reads, “the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a separate incident.”

This was an incident “in Pueblo West with male who had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

At this time in 2025, Pueblo had only experienced two confirmed homicides.

It was natural to suspect that three fatal shootings within the span of hours were not coincidental.

“Preliminary information is that this deceased male is the suspect from the double homicide,” the announcement shared.

Later, the Pueblo County Coroner identified the victims as Beeman Jr. and as Manion.

Only later did police learn that the man whom they had identified as “the suspect from the double homicide” would have such an obvious link to the victims.

He was 19-year-old Glenn Allen Beeman III.

Just a couple of months ago, Manion celebrated his birthday — albeit with odd phrasing — on social media.

Police emphasize that the investigation into all three deaths is still ongoing.

When a young adult child murders both parents, there can be various motives.

The most common cause is abuse — either by one or both parents, or for which they blame the parents (such as by a family friend or religious mentor). However, that is not an exhaustive list.

It seems clear that the motives in this crime were not financial. If the crime involved substance abuse or mental illness, investigators have not divulged that at this time.

However, for the moment, instead of speculating wildly, we should remember that these are only preliminary findings. Investigators could discover that Beeman III was not the culprit, or that something else happened. We don’t know!

For now, extended family are grieving a senseless tragedy. Our thoughts are with them at this time.

Thomas Rhett Explains the Meaning Behind Son Brave Elijah’s Name

Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren recently welcomed their fifth child, and first son. Choosing his name wasn’t easy. In fact, Rhett admits they were still deciding on a middle name when they arrived at the hospital. Eventually, their baby boy’s full name, Brave Elijah, came to them in an unexpected spark of inspiration and quickly became deeply meaningful for the couple.

Back in January 2025, the couple had planned to pack up their family and move to Uganda for a year, and they were also considering adopting another child. However, over Father’s Day weekend that year, they received a positive pregnancy test, and suddenly all of their plans changed. Rhett recently co-hosted a weekend of Country Countdown U.S.A. with Lon Helton, where he reflected on the unexpected news and shared the story behind the name Brave Elijah.

He explains they had been procrastinating on choosing what to call their first baby boy. Then the idea for Brave came to Rhett while enjoying a glass of wine.

“The name of the wine was Mount Brave. So I asked Lauren about the name Brave for a boy. We loved what that word meant for a boy or girl,” he revealed.

Once they agreed on the first name, the next big decision was the middle name. Again, Rhett happened to find himself come across a name that struck a chord with him and felt just right as it held a deep connection to something the couple values highly in their life: faith.

“We were in the hospital, they gave us the birth certificate, and we still didn’t have a middle name.  I was reading Elijah’s story in the Bible, and he led an incredible life. So we settled on Brave Elijah,” Rhett told Helton.

Brave is the couple’s fifth child, joining their four daughters:  Willa Gray (10), Ada James (8), Lennon Love (6), and Lillie Carolina (4). The “After All The Bars Are Closed” singer says they were trying to get pregnant one more time, but he never imagined that after four girls in their home, he would finally get a son. This time, the couple chose not to find out the baby’s gender until birth, and when their child was born in February, he was truly surprised.

“It’s surreal. I thought after our 4th girl, it wasn’t in the cards for me to have a boy,” he admitted. “When we were in the hospital, I thought it was gonna be another girl. Having that surprise was one of the coolest moments in my life. He’s a big baby, he was ten pounds, my wife is a super-hero.”

Rhett also stated that being a family of seven has “been a blast” and jokingly added that they are lucky to have so many “built in big sister babysitters.”

When Helton asked if they are officially done having children now, Rhett responded that five kids has always been Lauren’s “magic number” so they don’t currently don’t have plans to add any more to the bunch.

“I don’t think we’re gonna have any more kids.  But it was the coolest thing in the world not to know if it was a boy or girl. I have never been more surprised. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but so worth it.”

For now, Thomas Rhett has been finding a balance of soaking up the newborn snuggles at home and spending time at the studio to work on his next record. He shared his hopes to put out a song or two sometime between April and May and then release an entire album by the end of the year.

“I’ve been writing for a year and a half for this project. I feel the word on this next project is timeless. I’m thinking on making a short record, only ten songs, and let’s go with that,” he shared.

Plus, he’s set to embark on THE SOUNDTRACK TO LIFE TOUR, kicking off July 9 in Nashville, TN.
