Koe Wetzel and Ella Langley Have Fans Buzzing After Reuniting for New Duet ‘Jaded’

Koe Wetzel and Ella Langley first joined forces in 2023 with their RIAA Gold-certified collaboration “That’s Why We Fight,” which showcased their powerful musical connection and quickly became a fan-favorite. Now, three years later, with even more success behind them, the pair of country stars have reunited for Wetzel’s latest Country radio single, “Jaded.”

In the days leading up to the release, a Nashville billboard, a mysterious voicemail and a few cryptic social posts had fans theorizing that the two might be working together again. Wetzel officially confirmed the duet via social media, leading to a plethora of excited reactions from listeners who were eager to hear their voices come together for the first time since “That’s Why We Fight.”

Co-written by Wetzel, Langley, Jordan Schmidt and ERNEST, the vulnerable new duet finds Wetzel and Langley carrying the emotions of two people who are burdened with the scars of past heartbreak. The mid-tempo track features a rhythm of twangy electric guitars, a laid-back groove and emotionally charged vocals that highlight Wetzel’s raw-edged sound and Langley’s soulful tone.

Both of the artists speak with patience and empathy while trying to understand the walls the other person has built, in hopes of creating a space for healing.

“How’d you get so jaded?/ Who made you like this?/ Who gave you these problems?/ Even I can’t seem to fix/ How’d you get so lonely? /How’d you get so cold?/ I don’t wanna hurt you, baby/ I just wanna know/ How’d you get so jaded,” they sing on the chorus.

Speaking on the duet, Wetzel claimed that Langley has been one of his “favorite people to write and sing with for a long time” and it was only a matter of time before they got back into the studio together.

“We recorded ‘That’s Why We Fight’ early on in both of our careers, and getting back in a room together was something we talked about every time we saw each other. When she sings, you believe it and I’m excited we could get this one out there to the fans.”

Langley echoed the “High Road” singer’s excitement, noting that they have “known each other and been friends for a long time.”

“He was one of the first artists I ever got to collaborate with and one of the first I went out on the road with back in 2022. Getting to write and record another song together is special,” she shared.

Since their first collaboration, both artists have experienced significant career growth. “Jaded” comes at a pivotal moment for Langley, who has quickly emerged as one of country music’s most exciting rising stars with a string of chart successes and esteemed accolades.

Meanwhile, Wetzel is entering a new chapter following the release of his critically acclaimed album The Night Champion in June. After the project arrived, he dropped five additional songs that were written and recorded alongside the album’s original 11 tracks.

Koe Wetzel’s The Night Champion World Tour continues across the U.S., Canada and Australia, with a setlist featuring new music as well as some of the biggest songs from his catalog. The tour also features special guests Shane Smith & The Saints, Ole 60, Wyatt Flores, Corey Kent, Wade Bowen, Bayker Blankenship, Kolby Cooper and Logan Jahnke across select dates.

Matt Rife Blasted For Telling Fan With Autism to Take His Own Life

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Comedian Matt Rife is at the center of yet another bizarre controversy.

And this time, even “edgy” humor fans who might usually defend Rife are conceding that the comic may have gone too far.

You see, this wasn’t a case of Rife lashing out at a heckler on stage. Rather, he took to social media to encourage a fan with autism to kill himself.

Here’s the deal: Matt and a business partner named Elton Castee recently purchased the Haunted Warren Museum in Massachusetts.

The place was formerly owned by famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, and it houses the notorious haunted Annabelle doll.

Rife has taken some flak from the paranormal investigation community for seemingly not taking the museum seriously and for charging outrageous ticket prices.

One such investigator, Chris Mac, did not harshly criticize Matt (at least not that we know of), but did comment on one of his posts with some historical context about the Salem Witch Trials.

And for some reason, that comment prompted a scorched earth response from Matt:

“Sir, you are a lifeless douchebag. Please remove yourself from this earth. Absolutely nobody is reading your novels in these comments. You do not matter to anybody,” he wrote (via TMZ), adding:

“The event has already sold thousands of tickets. Now watch as I block you and you fall back into nonexistence

“Now am going move forward with all this nonsense garbage what Matt said and Elton Castee control your mentor Matt or get Matt therapy I don’t want ever ever want see Matt bully a person with autism again do I make myself clear not ok to say with a person with autism I have autism,” Mac shot back in response.

Rife has not yet responded, but Mac has quite a few supporters who have come to his defense.

Sources close to Rife explain that he is frequently bullied in the comments of his posts.

They explain that he has reached the point where he frequently replies in brutal fashion, and more often than not, the troll just quietly deletes their comment and goes away.

The insiders note that there is crucial context missing in this situation. Whatever the case, Matt is receiving a whole lot of flak today.
