Very sad news out of Hollywood and the entertainment industry this holiday weekend:

Sophia Hutchins, a close friend and manager to Caitlyn Jenner, passed in an ATV accident on July 29, according to numerous celebrity gossip outlets.

She was 29 years old.

In a horrible development first reported by TMZ — who spoke to local law enforcement sources — Hutchins was riding in an ATV in Malibu when her vehicle “struck the bumper of a moving car,” causing Hutchins to go over the shoulder and “350 feet down into a ravine” near Jenner’s home.

Hutchins was pronounced dead by first responders.

No one else was injured in the accident.

Hutchins served as CEO and director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation.

The two met in 2015 when Jenner announced her transition from a man to a woman, quickly bonding… as Hutchins later praised her pal for pushing her to grow.

Hutchins went on to appear in multiple episodes of the E! reality series I Am Cait.

“We were introduced through my makeup artist at a M.A.C. photo shoot,” Hutchins told the New York Times in 2019. “Having a similar sense of humor, we spent the entire time laughing and ended up meeting for brunch, and we’ve been great friends ever since.”

Due to their close bond, rumors swirled that the pair’s relationship was romantic in nature, but Hutchins (also a transgender female) told the aforementioned newspaper about five and a half years ago that they were “never romantically involved.”

Hutchins added that speculation began to swirl “because we weren’t addressing [the rumors].”

“We have so much in common; we see the world so similarly and we both are such a good match for each because we challenge each other,” Hutchins once said of their relationship in an interview with The Hidden Truth with Jim Breslo.

“She challenges me in so many ways, has allowed me to grow in so many ways and I hope I challenge her to grow and I think because we share so many of the same passions and views, it’s just a great match, a great partnership.”

Per a Radar Online insider, “Caitlyn is numb with shock” over Hutchins’ death.

“She is absolutely devastated and can’t believe what’s happened. Sophia was a big part of her life,” this website adds.

Hutchins was tight with many members of Kardashian-Jenner family, even appearing at Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday party in 2018.

After becoming friends, Hutchins stepped into a manager role for Jenner.

“I saw nobody was managing her, and there were all these people taking massive advantage,” Sophia also told the New York Times awhile ago. “And I was saying, ‘Caitlyn, if I don’t step in here and start managing you, you’re going to go broke.’”

For her part, Jenner has often praised and credited Hutchins for assisting her in her transition and in her second phase of life.

“Over the last few years, Sophia has been my best friend, family and confidant,” Jenner said in 2019. “She is one of the top minds in her field. Her value in my life is undeniable. The sky is the limit with her entrepreneurial spirit.”

Vanessa Bryant has faced speculation that she is pregnant.

More than five years after her family faced an unthinkable tragedy, she of course has every right to live her life.

Even as she honors those she lost, her family might one day grow again.

But is she actually pregnant, as the rumors claim? Here’s what we know:

The rumor: Vanessa Bryant is pregnant

In late May, rumors that Vanessa Bryant might be pregnant emerged — at first, seemingly out of nowhere.

The beloved widow is 43 years old, so a pregnancy is likely very possible. But where did these rumors originate?

As the days continued, it became clear that these theorists were pointing to specific images in which she might be concealing a baby bump.

Of course, with no clear timeline on the pics, fans weren’t sure what to make of it.

Obviously, some were quick to rush to congratulate Vanessa Bryant for allegedly being pregnant.

As we here at THG have repeatedly stressed, the time to talk to someone about their pregnancy is when they tell you that they are pregnant, or when you see the baby crowning.

Standard social politeness means never jumping the gun on this kind of alleged development.

Clearly, enough people were jumping to conclusions for Bryant to see the rumor. And she issued a response.

So what is the truth?

On Sunday, June 1, Vanessa Bryant took to her Instagram Story to debunk the claim that she is pregnant.

And she got a little help from Rihanna. Sort of.

As you can see in the screenshot, she decided to hit back at the claims, writing:

“Me protecting my peace, not pregnant & having fun all summer.”

Bryant used a string of classic Rihanna paparazzi photos in which the phenomenal singer was carrying a drink and wearing snorkeling gear — and had opted to flip the bird at photographers who were capturing her summer fun.

The message is clear: Vanessa Bryant is not pregnant and has no plans to become pregnant (at the very least, for the duration of the summer, which begins on the night of June 20 and ends in the afternoon of September 22).

Additionally, she’s clearly — albeit by proxy — flipping the bird at people who are hassling her with rumors.

Especially given that pregnancy rumors so often carry an undercurrent of body-shaming. Enough is enough.

This is an understandably sensitive topic

Despite the online chatter about Baby #5, Vanessa Bryant has only welcomed four children.

Natalia is 22. Bianka is 8. Capri is 5.

Gianna was in her early teens when she tragically passed away alongside her father, Kobe Bryant, in early 2020.

Patrick Dempsey has been married and divorced. Things got pretty complicated.

The Grey’s Anatomy alum’s first marriage is lesser known, as it happened when he was very young.

Following the divorce from his “best friend’s mother,” Dempsey went on to remarry.

Here’s an explanation of the relationship history of the better-late-than-never “Sexiest Man Alive” and where things stand today.

Patrick Dempsey married Rochelle ‘Rocky’ Parker in 1987

In August of 1987, Patrick Dempsey was not yet a television heartthrob. He was already an actor at 21.

That gave him something in common with the woman he married on the 24th of that month.

Rochelle “Rocky” Parker was also an actress. That same year, the two starred in In The Mood.

She was also his manager and an acting coach. Additionally, Parker was 48 at the time of their nuptials.

It turns out that Dempsey and Parker had met a few years earlier, when he was reportedly about 18. She played his aunt in the 1984 film Brighton Beach Memoirs.

Some reports claimed that he had married his best friend’s mother.

This was true in part, but he became close friends with actor Corey Parker only after the romantic entanglement.

In April of 1994, Dempsey and Parker divorced. Twenty years later, she passed away.

In July of 1999, Patrick Dempsey married Jillian Fink. Fink, a makeup artist, was born in 1966 — just weeks apart from Dempsey, in fact.

The two had met at work, where Dempsey described his first impression as essentially love at first sight.

They began their romantic relationship in 1997.

Together, Dempsey and Fink went on to have three children together.

In February 2002, Dempsey and Fink welcomed their first child, Talula Fyfe.

Within just a few years, Dempsey would rise from a handsome, recognizable actor to being a household name on the tongues of millions.

Five years after welcoming Talula, in February 2005, the couple celebrated twin boys, Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick.

They filed for divorce the year that he left ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ (but …)

In January of 2015, Jillian Fink filed to divorce Patrick Dempsey. She cited irreconcilable differences, requesting spousal support and shared custody of their children.

However, by November, the two were once again holding hands in public, working on their marriage.

They did not rush into their divorce without doing the work, just as they did not rush into their reconciliation.

In November of 2016, Fink and Dempsey officially called off the divorce process. They remain married to this day.

Hollywood is in mourning.

On July 4, we learned that Julian McMahon — an Australian actor best known for lead roles in Nip/Tuck and Charmed, passed away following a battle with cancer.

He was 56 years old.

This awful news was confirmed on Friday by McMahon’s wife, Kelly, who said that her husband passed away on Wednesday in Clearwater, Florida.

“With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer,” Kelly said in the statement.

“Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.

“We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life.

“We are grateful for the memories.”

McMahon portrayed Dr. Christian Troy on Nip/Tuck from 2003 to 2010.

On Charmed (from 2000 to 2005), he starred as Cole Turner, a love interest to Alyssa Milano’s character Phoebe.

Also on the small screen, many viewers may recognize McMahon from FBI: Most Wanted.

The veteran actor also found success in the film industry, most notably playing a key role in the superhero movies Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), playing the villainous Victor Von Doom.

The star’s most recent TV role was on Netflix’s The Residence, which was recently canceled after one season.

A Golden Globe nominee in 2005, McMahon shared daughter Madison with ex-wife Brooke Burns and was previously married to Dannii Minogue.

“I think my soul is Australian. I don’t think you can ever take that away,” the actor told Female.com.au in 2007. “I love where I grew up and how I grew up, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Having anchored FBI: Most Wanted for a period of time, prior to departing the drama in January 2022, McMahon told Deadline three years ago:

“I’m extremely proud of the work we have done together and put the development of this show, and my character Jess, at the top of my professional experience list. I wish the show, and its cast and crew, the greatest success in the future. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to play Jess. He is a good man.”
