Shania Twain Performs ‘Dirty Rosie’ On ‘The Tonight Show,’ Shares The Stories That Shaped ‘Little Miss Twain’ Album

Shania Twain stopped by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon ahead of the release of her next album, Little Miss Twain. Giving fans a preview of the project arriving July 24, she performs “Dirty Rosie” and shares how the collection as a whole ties back to her upbringing.

The country music icon has only delivered the advance release of three songs from the record: the title track featuring Tanya Tucker, “Faded Blue Jeans” featuring Josh Homme and “Dirty Rosie.” Written solely by Twain, the ladder of the tracks centers around a deep personal connection to her truck. The vehicle she holds so close to her heart acts like a symbol of the freedom, memories and the life experiences that shaped her growing up.

She goes on to say that someone could “drive me nuts” or “drive all night to see her,” but the one thing that’s forever off limits is driving her beloved truck, Dirty Rosie because she works hard all night long, spends her nickels and dimes to keep it running.

Twain brought “Dirty Rosie” to life on the Tonight Show with a show-stopping stage presence, elevated by her stunning green ensemble featuring a sheer, rhinestone-covered top paired with leather shorts and of course a pair of heeled boots. Backed by her epic band, she fully embraced the song’s edgier sound, delivering a high-energy performance filled with confidence, attitude and plenty of heart.

She sings, “You can drive me crazy, drive me half nuts/ You can drive all night to see me, take a chance on your luck/ You can drive a Hummer in the summer/ You can even drive the ladies in my Mercedes/ But you can’t drive my truck/ Not my truck.”

Sitting down with Fallon to discuss the song, Twain explained that much like the rest of the album, “Dirty Rosie” was inspired by an element of her upbringing in Canada. She explains she learned to drive at 10 years old out of necessity to help her family with work.

“We were woodsmen and all of our work, my parents’ work was out in the woods and they always needed extra drivers. So it’s like, ‘get in there.’ And my dad was a hunter as well. So he’s like, ‘Okay, you drive and I’ll watch. I’ll look out for the moose.’ So he scouts for the moose and I drive. So I learned how to drive at 10. It was very useful. I felt very empowered and very grown up.”

The track finds her reflecting back on the old days of driving around in that old red truck that was faded from all the use it as a work vehicle.

“I actually value that now. We never could afford new vehicles when I was a kid. And now if I had a choice of having a faded old red work truck, her name would be Dirty Rosie,” Twain added.

The “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” singer also noted that on the album’s release date, she anticipates it to feel like “Christmas Morning,” because she has anxiously been awaiting the day she could finally share this collection of songs with the world.

This collection takes listeners back to when she got her stage name, “Little Miss Twain” while performing in small, smoky bars at eight years old.

“People just started calling me ‘Little Miss Twain’ and I would be introduced on stage, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage, Little Miss Twain.”’ And that always, it struck me more now looking back and reflecting on the child from the beginning. And it impacts me more. And I ended up writing this song and it’s primarily about my mother’s roles in my career. Manager ,drove me everywhere. Agent, she got me up on every stage she could possibly find, hoping that I would get discovered, which wasn’t going to happen until much later in my career and she would already have passed,” Twain explained.

The title track featured vocals from Tanya Tucker, which marks a very full-circle moment in Shania Twain’s life.

“I lost my mother early on in my life…according to my mother, ‘I’m the next Tanya Tucker,’ is what I sing. And my mother’s dream was that I would be a childhood star like Tanya Tucker…she put the dream out there and I brought Tanya Tucker in the studio, and she sang with me on this record. It was so full circle.”

The project arrives July 24via Republic Nashville and includes 15 tracks.

Shania Twain just wrapped up an epic 12-night run with Harry Styles at Wembley Stadium in London and is set to perform in New York, NY tonight, July 23.

2026 NFL Preview: Which 10 Teams Have The Best Roster Cores Entering The Season?

It takes solid role players and contributors to chase a Super Bowl, but championship teams are usually led by core foundational players who make big plays in the critical moments of the game to bring home the Lombardi Trophy. Just look at last season’s Super Bowl run for the Seattle Seahawks. They had big-time playmakers like wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, cornerback Devon Witherspoon, quarterback Sam Darnold and running back Kenneth Walker III make critical plays that led to a dominant victory over the New England Patriots. With that in mind and the start of training camp looming, here’s a look at the top 10 core foundations for NFL teams with less than two months before the beginning of the regular season. Top five: QB Drake Maye, WR A.J. Brown, CB Christian Gonzalez, DT Milton Williams, DB Kevin Byard New England struggled to compete with Seattle in Super Bowl LX this past season. While the offensive line must play better to protect MVP candidate Maye, the addition of Brown should lead to more explosive plays on offense. Byard, who led the NFL in interceptions last season, brings experience and playmaking ability to the back end defensively, but the Patriots could still use pass rush help on the perimeter to partner with productive defensive tackles Christian Barmore and Williams. Maye is just 23 years old, and Byard (32) is the only core player that’s over 30, so that bodes well for the Patriots keeping their Super Bowl window open. Overall, New England’s harder schedule will likely mean fewer wins in 2026, and we’ll find out early how Mike Vrabel’s roster sits when the Patriots face the Seahawks in a Super Bowl rematch in Seattle to start the year. New England must also get Gonzalez signed to a new deal that will make him one of the highest-paid corners in the league. Top five: QB Lamar Jackson, S Kyle Hamilton, RB Derrick Henry, DE Trey Hendrickson, LB Roquan Smith Seeking a new contract that will make him the highest-paid player in the league, Jackson is under pressure to finally deliver another Super Bowl for the Ravens with the franchise moving on from head coach John Harbaugh. And Jackson has one of the most talented rosters to work with in Baltimore. The dynamic signal-caller finally has a No. 1 receiver in Zay Flowers, who emerged as a consistent playmaker on the perimeter. And even at 32 years old, Henry is still one of the top running backs in the game. New defensive-minded head coach Jesse Minter can build his defense around one of the best safeties in the game in Hamilton, like what he achieved by using Derwin James Jr. during his time leading the defense for the Los Angeles Chargers. And Hendrickson gives the Ravens a double-digit sack guy on the perimeter to pair with DT Nnamdi Madubuike. Baltimore should be the favorite to win the AFC North. Top five: QB Dak Prescott, WR George Pickens, WR CeeDee Lamb, DL Quinnen Williams, OL Tyler Smith Don’t look now, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has finally built Dallas into a playoff contender. The Cowboys have one of the most explosive offenses in the league, led by Prescott and two big-play receivers in Lamb and Pickens. Smith gives Dallas an anchor up front along the interior of the offensive line. But the key for the Cowboys will be how improved the defense is under new defensive coordinator Christian Parker. He has talented pieces to work with in defensive lineman Kenny Clark, linebackers DeMarvion Overshown and Rashan Gary at the second level and Jalen Thompson and rookie Caleb Downs in the defensive secondary. If the Cowboys play to their potential defensively, they have a shot to reach the postseason for the first time since the 2023 season. Top five: QB Patrick Mahomes, OL Creed Humphrey, TE Travis Kelce, RB Kenneth Walker III, DL Chris Jones Yes, the Chiefs are old, with three of their core players – including Mahomes – in their thirties. Still, Kansas City should be properly motivated after missing the playoffs last season for the first time in nearly a decade. Mahomes is coming off season-ending knee surgery but is expected to be ready at the start of the regular season. Recently married, Kelce was surprisingly productive in 2025, and the 36-year-old future Hall of Famer could be playing in his final season. But the keys for Kansas City will be how defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo rebuilds a defense that lost key players in the secondary and whether Walker can be a bell-cow running back in the offense, led by the return of offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. Top five: CB Patrick Surtain II, DT Zach Allen, DL Nik Bonitto, OL Garrett Bolles, QB Bo Nix The Broncos had one of the top defenses in the league last season, keyed by a formidable pass rush led by Allen and Bonitto. Along with that, Denver has a shutdown corner in Surtain. A focus for head coach Sean Payton will be improving a ‘meh’ offense. Denver made a move to improve on that side of the ball by promoting Davis Webb to offensive coordinator. And the addition of receiver Jaylen Waddle via trade should help create more explosive plays and provide a good pairing with Courtland Sutton. But Nix returning healthy after a season-ending ankle fracture will be critical for the Broncos. Nix is developing into one of the better young quarterbacks in the league and needs to take another step in that development under the tutelage of Webb. Top five: QB Jared Goff, DE Aidan Hutchinson, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, RB Jahmyr Gibbs, OT Penei Sewell The Lions have one of the most talented rosters in the league. Pro Bowl linebacker Jack Campbell, tight end Sam LaPorta and safety Brian Branch could have also been included on this list. Detroit has one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, led by an efficient passer and expert executioner of the offense in Goff. However, the question for the Lions is how enthusiastic head coach Dan Campbell will direct his coordinators to get the best out of the talent on both sides of the ball. I’m a believer in new offensive coordinator Drew Petzing, but it will be interesting to see how the offense changes with him at the controls. And defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard needs his defense to take another step in development. Finally, the Lions must stay healthy after experiencing a rash of injuries last season. Top five: DE Will Anderson Jr., DE Danielle Hunter, CB Darrell Stingley Jr., LB Azeez Al-Shaair, WR Nico Collins Led by defensive-minded head coach DeMeco Ryans, the Texans have arguably the best defense in the league heading into the season. They have playmakers at all three levels defensively in pass rushers Anderson and Hunter, an athletic traffic cop in the middle of the field in linebacker Al-Shaair and lock-down cornerbacks Stingley and Kamari Lassiter. The issue for Houston is whether it can get more consistent performances from quarterback C.J. Stroud and whether he can get back to the level he played at in his first two years in the league. And can the offensive line do a better job of keeping Stroud upright? The playmakers are there, with talented receivers in Nico Collins and Jayden Higgins, tight end Dalton Schultz and productive running backs in David Montgomery and Woody Marks. Top five: WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, DL Leonard Williams, QB Sam Darnold, CB Devon Witherspoon, LB Ernest Jones IV The defending Super Bowl champs lost four key players in free agency in cornerback Riq Woolen, edge rusher Boye Mafe, safety Coby Bryant and Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III. However, the Seahawks still have plenty of juice on the roster, headlined by Smith-Njigba, who won Offensive Player of the Year last season. The Ohio State receiver is joined on offense by quarterback Sam Darnold, who’s looking to build on an impressive first year in Seattle. Left tackle Charles Cross and left guard Grey Zabel serve as the anchors of the offensive line, helping to keep Darnold upright. The Seahawks return the best defense in the league, led by Williams, Jones and Witherspoon, along with versatile safety Nick Emmanwori, interior pass rusher Byron Murphy II and edge rushers DeMarcus Lawrence, Uchenna Nwosu and Derick Hall. Top five: QB Jalen Hurts, RB Saquon Barkley, OL Jordan Mailata, DT Jalen Carter, CB Quinyon Mitchell The Eagles are hopeful for addition by subtraction with the trade of the mercurial Brown to New England. Look for DeVonta Smith to fill the void as Philadelphia’s No. 1 receiver. However, the strength for the Eagles is the offensive and defensive lines, led by bookend tackles Lane Johnson and Mailata on offense, and massive defensive tackles Jordan Davis and Carter on defense. While he has yet another offensive coordinator, Hurts is expected to take another step in his development with Sean Mannion leading the offense. Zack Baun is one of the best off-ball linebackers in the league, and Cooper DeJean brings versatility to one of the best defenses in the league, led by longtime defensive guru Vic Fangio. Top five: QB Matthew Stafford, DE Myles Garrett, WR Puka Nacua, CB Trent McDuffie, WR Davante Adams. Byron Young, Kyron Williams, Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske and offensive guards Steven Avila and Kevin Dotson also could be on this list. But from top to bottom, Sean McVay’s squad has the most talented roster in the league and perhaps one of the best rosters in NFL history, which is why they are heavy favorites to win the Super Bowl despite losing to last year’s Super Bowl champ Seattle in the NFC Championship game. And this does not include Aaron Donald, who is flirting with the idea of unretiring to play another season. But one of the few question marks for the Rams remains backup quarterback, where first-round selection Ty Simpson will presumably beat out Stetson Bennett. It’s no surprise McVay desperately wanted a veteran like Jimmy Garoppolo or Kirk Cousins to serve as his backup quarterback as insurance in case Stafford once again catches the injury bug.Honorable mention: Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Chargers.Latest Sports News from FOX Sports

Tom Brady May Run For President Following WWE Stint, Claims NFL Insider

Reading Time: 3 minutes

It’s the NFL’s offseason, and Tom Brady has been retired for three years, but the GOAT is still managing to make a whole lot of headlines.

As we previously reported, Brady is participating in a weird fake rivalry with Logan Paul that will likely lead to Brady stepping into the WWE ring.

And why would a living legend on par with Jordan or Gretzky stoop to the level of a Paul brother?

Quarterback Tom Brady arrives for a ceremony with U.S. President Joe Biden as he welcomes the 2021 NFL Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the South Lawn of the White House on July 20, 2021 in Washington, DC.

Well, one longtime NFL insider believes that this is just the first step in a much larger plan for the seven-time Super Bowl champ.

“I spoke yesterday about Tom Brady’s foray into the world of WWE, and I got an email from a reader that I think may have been more accurate than I initially wanted to admit,” journalist Mike Florio said on his podcast this week (via Radar Online).

“There are two ways of looking at this. One, it’s a sort of bizarre mid-life crisis for Tom Brady, it’s an exercise in ego, can’t get enough, got to do more.

“There’s also a chance it is part of a broader plan. Is Tom Brady trying to cosy up to the wrestling base when it comes to for running for office?” Florio continued, adding:

“I did research this morning and the idea of Tom Brady running for president is not some new thing.”

Yes, the “Idiocracy was a documentary” crowd has been validated once again, and the world of pro wrestling is now considered a viable path to the White House.

Florio noted that Brady has been mentioned as a potential presidential candidate many times in the past, most notably by Sam Bankman Fried — who is now serving a 25-year prison sentence.

Not the most auspicious start to Tom Terrific’s political career, but presidential campaigns have overcome a felony or two in the past.

Speculation surrounding Brady and the WWE intensified after his increasingly public feud with Logan Paul.

The rivalry began with Brady slapping the WWE star and influencer during Fanatics Fest before the pair exchanged more taunts during the FIFA World Cup final.

Brady has also openly admitted he’d be interested in stepping into the ring if WWE could come up with the right storyline, and multiple reports say discussions between the two sides are ongoing.

However, neither Brady nor WWE has officially announced any agreement.

According to Radar, former NFL executive Mike Lombardi believes a WWE run could help Brady develop the charisma and public speaking skills that often benefit political candidates.

Lombardi pointed to the entertainment world’s long history of producing politicians, arguing that performing before massive live audiences can be valuable preparation for public office.

He also suggested Brady’s carefully managed public image and enormous name recognition would make him a formidable candidate if he ever decided to enter politics.

For now, though, there is no indication that Brady plans to run for office. The presidency speculation remains just that: speculation.

At the moment, Brady appears focused on his broadcasting career with FOX Sports, his business ventures, and whatever may or may not be developing with WWE.

Whether those wrestling rumors eventually become reality remains to be seen.

As for a presidential campaign?

There are a few more barriers to success there. But clearly, Tom is in need of a challenge these days.

Oklahoma Mom Cherie Walker Convicted After 11-Year-Old Gives Birth to Husband’s Baby

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Sometimes, we call the crimes that people commit against society’s most vulnerable “unspeakable.”

In this case, however, one adult woman could — and should — have taken action, including just speaking, to protect her child.

Instead, an Oklahoma mom has been convicted on seven counts after her 11-year-old daughter gave birth at home.

Her husband has already been sentenced. But his crimes would not have been possible without her help.

What happened to this child is a sequence of horrors

On Friday, July 17, Cherie Walker was convicted on one count of enabling child sexual abuse and six counts of child neglect.

Prosecutors have recommended a sentence of life in prison on each count.

Walker is currently awaiting sentencing.

The trial, which took place in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, included four days of testimony from emergency responders, law enforcement officers, medical professionals, Department of Human Services employees, and family members.

Sure enough, the jury convicted Walker on all 7 counts.

In August 2025, authorities learned that an 11-year-old girl had given birth inside the family home without any prenatal care or medical assistance.

They launched an investigation, for multiple obvious reasons.

DNA testing confirmed that Dustin Walker was the father.

In March, Dustin pleaded guilty to one count of sexual abuse of a child under 12 and six counts of child neglect.

He received a prison sentence of life for the CSA conviction. Additionally, he received consecutive prison terms for the neglect convictions.

He did not do this alone

Prosecutors alleged that Cherie knew that her husband was sexually abusing their daughter and failed to protect her.

Sometimes, parents in these cases argue that the predator kept it a secret from them.

(Some even genuinely convince themselves that they didn’t really know.)

But when an 11-year-old child gives birth, there is no longer any doubt about what has happened to the child. There is also generally a very narrow suspect pool.

Walker presumably had months of her daughter’s pregnancy to seek justice for her, to contact the authorities with the obvious evidence of her husband’s crimes. Instead, she forced her child to give birth without medical care, attempting to shield the monster in the house from harm.

In the course of the investigation, another adult has been charged.

Michelle Justus is the victim’s grandmother.

She has pleaded not guilty to a charge of child neglect.

Her trial was set to begin on Thursday, July 23. We do not yet know the results.

It is clear that many adults failed this child, as did society at large. Her life has been forever altered, as has the life of her baby. The least that we can do, now, is seek justice for her.

Kenny Chesney Says The Best Part Of His New Country Music Hall Of Fame Exhibit Is Remembering ‘How Much Fun We’ve Had’

Kenny Chesney watched his life and career unfold before his eyes on Wednesday evening as he received a first look at his brand-new exhibit, Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward, at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

The moment marked yet another milestone in what has already been a monumental year for the East Tennessee native. Just a few months ago, Chesney stood in the very same building celebrating his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Now, fans can experience a career-spanning exhibit that celebrates the moments that shaped his career.

Located just down the hall from the museum’s iconic rotunda, the exhibit gives fans a front-row seat to Chesney’s journey, from his childhood in East Tennessee and college years to his early days chasing a dream in Nashville. It also highlights his record-breaking stadium tours and the unforgettable live experiences he’s created for his legion of fans who proudly call themselves No Shoes Nation.

After touring the exhibit, Chesney joined his team, family, friends, and members of the music industry for a reception celebrating its opening, where he took a moment to reflect on what the experience meant to him.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum CEO Kyle Young welcomed guests before introducing Chesney to the stage, applauding the superstar’s hands-on approach to every aspect of his career.

“Kenny Chesney may be a hillbilly rockstar, but he’s always in control,” Young pointed out. “His is the kind of spirit that combines exceptional musical talent and insatiable creativity, mixes them with a tried and true work ethic and inexhaustible drive and realizes a benchmark country music career like the world has seldom seen.”

Upon taking the stage, the “Carry On” singer admitted it felt a bit “strange” to see his life and career displayed behind glass, but he also shared how proud he was of the finished exhibit and how grateful he felt to have had the opportunity to create it alongside the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Like everything he takes on, Chesney approached the exhibit with the same dedication that has defined his career. He was deeply involved in the creative process, helping curate the artifacts and stories that bring his journey to life. After seeing it all come together, Chesney said what stood out most wasn’t a particular award, accomplishment, or milestone, it was remembering the incredible amount of fun he’s shared with his band and crew since they first hit the road together in November 1993.

“It’s really interesting to see your life laid out like that, like this, because I lived it once, but to see it again is really strange. But I’m very proud of it. The thing that I saw when I first walked in, and I see a lot of my band and crew here tonight, is the amount of fun that we’ve had. I went on the road, I can’t even believe I’m saying this. I went on the road the first time in November of 1993. It’s crazy to think about. And we are having just as much fun today as we did then. Just ask my band,” he said with a laugh.

“We all went to Maui last week for a video shoot and that was a lot of fun being had. So I’m really proud of that because music is supposed to be fun. And I truly believe that to go out there on stage every night and give energy and get that energy back is one of the most amazing feelings in the world. And the fact that we get to do that at the level that we’re doing it is one of, I think I speak for all my band and crew here. It’s one of the highlights. It is the highlight of my life. And to stand here in front of you guys tonight and to see all that displayed, all the color, all the energy, all the love that you’re going to see in this exhibit is everything that we have lived for 30 something years. And I’m very proud of it.”

Chesney thanked the people in the room who have supported him since the beginning. Before wrapping up his remarks, he once again reflected on the joy of life on the road and expressed his gratitude for everyone who has been part of the ride.

“I keep going back to it, but you get to see exactly how much fun we have had over the years on the road. And that is a lot of fun. Back before phones, it was great,’ He laughed. “But we’ve still found a way to have an absolute blast out there and to take what God has given us, which is the gift of music and creativity and spread that and share that with the world. And that has been one of the biggest gifts of my life. And the fact that you guys are here to see it and be a part of it, I really appreciate it.”

Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward is now open at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The career-spanning exhibit is included with regular museum admission and will remain on display through June 2027, giving fans nearly a year to explore Chesney’s journey.

Weekend sees surge of sockeye, capsized boats

The Chilkoot River sockeye run arrived in a large surge last weekend, bringing the fish count at Alaska Department of Fish and Game’s Chilkoot Weir to nearly six-times what it had been just 48 hours before.

As of Friday evening, roughly 3,000 sockeye had passed through the weir since it was installed at the end of May, a number below the historical average for mid-July.

When 6 p.m. hit, the start of the Friday evening shift for Fish and Game staff at the weir, that all changed. Over the three-hour counting period, an average of over 30 sockeye per minute came through the weir, totalling 6,500 fish, department salmon researcher Shelby Flemming said this week. A similar influx of fish continued the next day, with a small lull around midday.

All told, from Friday through Sunday, department staff counted 16,820 sockeye passing through the weir.

News of the sockeye arrival brought anglers and subsistence fishermen out in numbers. Fish and Game’s area sportfish biologist, John Whitinger, reported “hot” fishing around Letnikof Cove. “People pulling their subsistence nets out had sockeye bigger than I’ve ever seen,” he said. “People were telling me they had more fish than they even really needed.”

Amid the fishing frenzy, at least two boats capsized. One of the boats overturned Saturday and sank in Lutak Inlet. A second boat that capsized the next day was salvaged by borough staff. No one was hurt.

The first boat overturned Saturday mid-morning in Lutak Inlet, said Joanne Waterman, who was fishing from a nearby vessel.

Waterman said that while wind and seas were picking up, she and fishing partner Dean Heard saw a small skiff nearby sitting low in the water and a lone boater beginning to bail with a bucket.

Waterman and Heard assisted the other boat, which they found without power due to a subsistence net tangled in the prop.

“The boat took a couple of good waves over the back and it started to sink,” Waterman said. “(Boat owner Linda Huber) was hanging onto the boat and we got her into our boat and then backed off, because the wind was bumping our boats together.”

Huber was the lone person in the vessel, joined only by her dog, who Waterman said was wearing a personal flotation device and also was saved.

Haines Volunteer Fire Department chief Zak Overmyer said the department sent an ambulance to the scene, but Huber declined medical attention. Huber did not return calls seeking more information.

The second boat capsized Sunday afternoon in Lutak Inlet.

Haines resident Michael George said he was boating nearby when he saw the overturned skiff with a man hanging off.

George’s son, Siyel George, piloted a Zodiac his family had been towing toward the overturned boat and hoisted the stranded boater, who was not wearing a personal flotation device, out of the water. Another crewmember of the overturned boat had already swum to shore.

Michael George said the capsized boaters, who he did not know, told him they had rapidly taken on water over the stern of their boat. When he arrived at their boat, George said their subsistence net was underwater and snagged on their outboard motor.

Haines harbormaster Henry Pollan said he towed the empty boat on Sunday afternoon from the mouth of the Chilkoot River to the Lutak launch ramp.

Brooks has made the decision to oversee ticket prices himself, ensuring that every one of his supporters, regardless of their financial situation, will have the option to come see his show at an affordable price.

General on sale begins Friday, July 31 at 10:00 AM/MT HERE or through the Ticketmaster App. Every seat in the house will be priced at $155.25 ($140 ticket price + $5.25 Facility Fee + $10.00 Service Charge).

Amy Duggar: I’m No Contact With the Duggars! If They Wanna Talk, I Have Conditions …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

No one in the extended family has been more outspoken after Joseph’s arrest than Amy.

She’s openly admitting that, with very few exceptions, she’s “no contact” with her uncle, aunt, and cousins.

Considering that her mom called for the Duggars to be investigated, that’s really no surprise.

Now, Amy says that she’s open to a dialogue with some of her cousins. But there are conditions.

‘There is no contact’

During an interview with Oxygen, the infamous Duggar cousin revealed that she is not in touch with Jim Bob, with Michelle, or with most of her cousins.

“I have heard nothing from them,” she confirmed.

“Absolutely, there is no contact,” Amy emphasized.

There are many reasons to go no contact with family who were once important to you. How the Duggars have responded to Josh and now Joseph’s arrests and related scandals is only one of them.

She added: “That is just something that I have put boundaries in place.”

“I don’t know what they’re thinking,” Amy admitted with a bit of resignation.

“I don’t know really what’s going on on that side of the family,” she added.

“From what I see in the news that I’ve gathered, it’s heavy,” Amy assessed. “It’s really heavy.”

Beliefs among the Duggars likely range from denial to horror to, as we have mentioned in the past, the belief that sinister supernatural forces are attacking their family.

With that in mind, Amy remains in close contact with her cousin, Jill. Not so with Jill’s parents or most of her siblings.

She’s open to contact again, but only under certain conditions

“I would be open to a conversation with any of my cousins that are free and good people,” Amy clarified.

“I would love to connect with maybe some of the girls,” she expressed.

Amy set the condition: “However, they have to be able to have an open and honest conversation with me.”

“If you wanna get to know the real me, the door is open,” Amy reiterated. “but I’m gonna protect my son no matter what, from anyone and everyone I possibly can that I think might have some issues.”

She admitted: “So far, no one has really walked through it except for Jill. Jill and I are so extremely close.”

“Jill and I were in communication the second we found out,” Amy said of Joseph’s arrest for child sexual abuse of a 9-year-old girl.

“I can’t describe the amount of pain that she has felt through all of the different scandals and all the different horrible things that have happened in our family,” she expressed.

Amy added: “My heart just goes out to her.”

She did clarify that she does not feel hatred towards her extended family. She wishes that they were healthy and good, but knows that they are not.

“I feel like the truth has always been so hard to find in my family,” Amy lamented. It seems unlikely that that cycle will break with most of her cousins any time soon.
