Wynonna Judd Honors Mother Naomi on What Would Have Been Her 80th Birthday

Wynonna Judd took a moment to remember and honor her mother, Naomi Judd, on what would have been her 80th birthday.

Sharing a heartfelt throwback on social media, the country star posted a photo of herself gently kissing her mother on the cheek. Alongside the image, Wynonna wrote a touching caption, saying she still feels her mother everywhere she goes and wondering why she isn’t with her today.

“She would have been 80 today. I still feel her everywhere. She has 2 beautiful GREAT granddaughters we could be celebrating with. Why aren’t you here? I love you, Mom,” she shared.

Wynonna’s post was flooded with heartfelt comments, including sweet messages from Carly Pearce, Tigirlily Gold, Karen Fairchild, and more.

Naomi Judd passed away at 76 on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Her death shocked the country music community and continues to leave a lasting impact to this day.

Her passing was revealed on social media in a statement from her daughters.

“Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness,” the statement read. “We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory.”

The unexpected loss came just days after Naomi Judd and Wynonna Judd reunited as The Judds for a performance of “Love Can Build A Bridge” at the 2022 CMT Music Awards, and only one day before The Judds were set to be officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The Judds’ induction went on, with Wynonna and her sister Ashley tearfully honoring their mother during the ceremony.

“I didn’t prepare anything tonight because I knew mom would probably talk the most,” Wynonna said during the ceremony. “I’m gonna make this fast, because my heart’s broken, and I feel so blessed. It’s a very strange dynamic, to be this broken and this blessed.”

Later, Wynonna Judd revealed plans to embark on The Judds’ final tour in honor of her mother.

Wynonna opened up about her mother’s death for the first time in a sit-down interview with CBS Sunday Morning, admitting, “I did not know that she was at the place she was at when she ended it because she had had episodes before and she got better. And that’s what I live in, is like, ‘Was there anything I should have looked for or should I have known?’ I didn’t. That’s why it’s such a shock.”

The Judds earned 14 No. 1 hits over a career spanning nearly three decades, including “Love Can Build a Bridge,” “Mama He’s Crazy,” “Why Not Me,” “Turn It Loose,” “Girls Night Out,” “Rockin’ With the Rhythm of the Rain,” and “Grandpa.”

The mother-daughter duo racked up twenty Top 10 hits, sold over 20 million albums, and earned a combined 16 Gold, Platinum, and multi-Platinum certifications, including The Judds Greatest Hits.

Vince Gill Celebrates 50 Years of Music With New EP and Tour, Including a Six-Night Ryman Residency

Vince Gill is kicking off 2026 strong with a new tour and music announcement. Fans have the chance to celebrate a milestone year in Vince Gill’s five-decade-long journey in music when he hits the road for a highly anticipated summer trek that includes a six-night residency at the Ryman Auditorium across July and August.

His run at Nashville’s historic venue will cap off the tour, with performances on July 30, 31 and August 1, 6, 7, and 8. The six-night residency serves as an epic finale to the summer trek that’s set to kick off on June 18 in Orlando, Florida, and include stops across Florida, Alabama, Georgia, New York, and more.

Gill, who has spent much of the past nine years touring with the Eagles, will also continue performing with the legendary band even as he hits the road for his own 2026 headline run. The Eagles are currently playing to sold out crowds at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

In addition to his tour updates, the 22-time Grammy winner has been keeping busy in the studio. He recently released the third installment of his yearlong EP series, titled 50 Years from Home, a collective project that commemorates the 50th year of his career and celebrates his journey from leaving his Oklahoma hometown to pursue life as a performer.

Brown’s Diner Bar was the latest to be unveiled on January 9, proceeding I Gave You Everything I Had (October 17, 2025) and Secondhand Smoke (November 14, 2025). Each collection features six brand-new songs and one previous hit.

Plus, all three of the EP covers carry a personal touch as they showcase instruments from the CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award recipient’s personal collection. For Brown’s Diner Bar, he highlighted a 1942 Martin D-45 acoustic guitar he purchased from the Famous Old Time Music Co. in Cincinnati, whose founder, Harry Sparks, passed away last November.

His newest collection of the critically-acclaimed series offers insight to the stories of his life with six new tracks plus a recording of When I Call Your Name,” which first appeared on Gill’s breakthrough 1989 album of the same name. Kicking things off is the title track of this project, which offers a reflective journey back in time to when he first visited the famed Nashville eatery that is Brown’s Diner Bar.

“It’s a singer-songwriter kind of folk song about…this little hamburger joint,” Gill explains. “It’s been in Nashville for 100 years now, and I’ve been going for 50. When I made my first trip to Nashville in the mid-70s I remember going to Brown’s for a cheeseburger; they’re famous for being really good cheeseburgers. It’s a funky little joint, close to Music Row, so tons of singers and songwriters and musicians turn up there. It’s just a great vibe.”

Also found on the project are several co-writes including “Not Having You Around,” which he penned with longtime friend Leslie Satcher, “This Lonesome Old Cowboy,” a waltz written by the iconic singer/songwriter with Wade Bowen, and “Nobody Knows,” brought to life by Gill with Waylon Payne, son of longtime Willie Nelson guitarist Jody Payne and country singer Sammi Smith, who currently part of Nelson’s Family band. Gill also teamed up with ERNEST and Jake Worthington to create the emotional “I’m Selling All My Memories.”

Then there’s the self-penned “Young Again,” in which Gill drives home the message that aging isn’t something to fight, but instead it’s a journey to embrace.

“You see everybody trying to stay young and do things to themselves to make them stay relevant. I just love the sentiment in that song — ‘There’s still a fire but no desire to be young again.’ That feels right on time for me; I’m 68, and that mirror doesn’t lie. It’s not the kindest thing in the world, but I would never go back. I don’t think I would undo the mistakes I made, either, because you learn more from your mistakes than you do from your successes.”

He rounds the stories out with “When I Call Your Name,” which was originally co-written with Tim DuBois and went on to become a Top 5, gold-certified track.

“Once again, I tried to put a song on there that’s in the same world as what the previous six songs were, and something that follows well and sits with it and sequences well,” he explains. “I still love sequencing an album, still love a certain song following a certain song following a certain song. I just keep plugging in one after another until it feels like it flows really well.”

For fans, both the upcoming tour and new music releases are a chance to celebrate the past five decades of Vince Gill’s career, during which he’s built an impressive resume that spans songwriting, singing, producing, and live performance. Each contribution he makes to the country music world further cements his status as an iconic figure.

“I think that as a songwriter, you have to have lived some life to understand what you’re writing about,” reflects Gill. “You need some years under your belt to have the perspective to look back and really remember things. I know I don’t have as much time left as I’ve had to this point, so everything matters more. There’s a much deeper connection to these lyrics than I would have ever imagined. They’re truthful and they’re real, and I think the songs are about things people can grasp and understand and relate to.”

Brown’s Diner Bar Track Listing:

2. “Not Having You Around” (Vince Gill / Leslie Satcher)

Ana de Armas Spotted ‘Cozying Up To’ Jacob Elordi Following Split From Tom …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The 2026 Golden Globes took place in Los Angeles last night, and as usual, Hollywood’s best and brightest were on hand — and, in some cases, the stars were hand-in-hand!

Yes, the Globes are known as Hollywood’s booziest award show, making them fertile ground for A-list hookups.

Each year the event seems to produce at least one new relationship rumor — and 2026 gives us reports of an Ana de Armas-Jacob Elordi romance.

Obviously, speculation about famous people hooking up is all over social media on a daily basis. But seldom do we see a case where both stars are so damnably attractive.

Jacob and Ana met when they co-starred in the 2022 thriller Deep Water.

In the film, Ana was married to Ben Affleck and cheating with Jacob (she and Ben were dating in real life, at the time).

These days de Armas is newly single following a fling with Tom Cruise — and several sources claim that she was seen “covying up to” Jacob on Sunday night.

One moment in particular seems to be fueling much of the speculation:

During one lengthy commercial break (there were quite a few of those, a fact the prompted speculation of production troubles), Ana and Jacob were spotted holding hands while chatting.

Many have pointed out that she’s nearly 10 years his senior — but she’s also Ana de Armas, so we’re sure Jacob’s not too concerned about the age gap.

As for Ana’s relationship with Tom, insiders says they’re not shocked that she decided to pull the plug.

“Ana’s friends aren’t shocked they didn’t last,” one source tells Radar Online.

“She got swept up in the excitement of dating a huge movie star, but they could see from the start that the dynamic was totally off-balance,” the insider continues, adding:

“Tom was constantly micromanaging her, telling her how to handle everything from her image to her workouts to her career choices.

“At first, she was flattered, but eventually she felt suffocated. She asked for space and Tom took it hard. Things kind of snowballed from there.”

Jacob seems like a much less controlling type. And Hollywood is overdue for a fully looks-matched, impossibly hot new couple.

In other words, we’re fully shipping these two.
