Cops Were Called to Britney Spears’ House 14 Times Ahead of DUI Arrest: Report

Reading Time: 2 minutes

As we previously reported, Britney Spears was arrested on DUI charges on Wednesday night.

Britney was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital after her arrest, where her blood was drawn to determine her BAC.

Insiders say she was at .06, which is below the legal limit, but driving erratically after drinking (as Brit allegedly was) can result in DUI charges.

As new information about the incident continues to surface, we’ve learned that Britney was allgedly weaving in and out of lanes and caught the attention of a California Highway Patrol officer.

Insiders have also revealed that Spears cried during her short time in jail and appeared “highly emotional” throughout her arrest.

Now, we’re learning that family and friends are concerned, as the arrest is reportedly just the latest in a long line of troubling incidents for Britney.

In fact, according to a new report from Page Six, police have been called to Britney’s house 14 times in the past two years alone.

To be fair, the most recent call was for trespassing in progress around midnight on Oct. 23, 2025.

And several of the calls, including one on March 21, was logged as a silent alarm.

But in some cases, it seems that the caller was concerned about Britney herself, not her property.

The most recent well-being check occurred on September 2025.

Two well-being checks were logged in the month of November 2024.

The nature and outcome of these calls are unclear.

But an average of seven 911 calls in a single year is highly unusual, especially in such an affluent, secluded neighborhood.

Britney was freed from her conservatorship in 2021, and she’s experienced quite a few ups and downs in the years since.

“She was incredibly emotional,” a source told Page Six of her arrest, adding, “It’s been a very hard couple of months.”

Spears is due back in court in May, at which time, she will presumably enter a plea.

Here’s hoping that she’ll soon be able to find the kind of peace she’s been seeking since childhood.

Maddie & Tae Reveal The Real Reason Behind Their Breakup: ‘The Worst Band Breakup Of All Time’

Back in December, country duo Maddie & Tae announced they would be parting ways to focus on their own individual paths. As they wrap up a bittersweet final run of shows on the Love & Light Tour, the pair took a moment to reflect on the honest reason behind their decision.

A fan-captured video shows the pair of singer/songwriters looking out into their sea of fans in Roanoke Rapids, NC and feeling all the emotions of knowing this chapter is coming to an end. Maddie Marlow Font began by explaining that her musical partner for over a decade, Tae Dye Kerr, is choosing to put all of her focus into her life at home with her two kids, daughter Leighton (4) and son Chapel (1).

Meanwhile, Font, who is also a mom to her 2-year-old son Forrest, is going to start a new chapter and work on some solo music.

“[These are] The last shows for a while for us. T’s going to be a stay-at-home mama, but she’s ready. And then I’m making a little solo record,” she shared.

Kerr added, “We’re going to keep chasing babies and chasing dreams.”

They also reiterated that their breakup is not the result of any drama or bad blood between them. Instead, they have simply found that life is leading them at different directions.

“I say this every show. We really are just the worst band breakup of all time because there’s just no juicy drama and we still are hanging out at the park with our kids,” said Font.

Kerr joked that she wished there was “juicy drama” as it would have meant they had “a lot more exciting” things happening in their careers right now. At the end of the day, the pair best known for their breakout No. 1 hit “Girl In A Country Song” and their chart-topping single “Die From A Broken Heart,” felt this would be the best decision for both of them.

“We are truly just two best friends who have been doing this together for 15 years and people change and people evolve. I think one of my favorite things about our sisterhood was just always our friendship came first. And this is just one of those choices.”

They also previously told People that this might not be goodbye forever as they plan to leave things “open-ended.”

“We might make another record one day,” Font admitted. “We might go do some tour dates one day.”

“Absolutely,” Kerr agreed.

Even though they will continue to do life together outside of music, the singers made it clear this was not an easy conclusion to come to, and it took quite a few heartfelt conversations to get to this point.

“It’s been such a hard, hard—honestly, heartbreaking—decision,” Kerr shared. “This was the only dream I’ve ever had since I exited the womb. I had a very specific vision of creating music and singing music. When we met at 15, that’s what we set out to do, and we’re both just so grateful for the journey we’ve had. This career has been everything we ever wanted.”

Maddie & Tae first introduced themselves to the country music world in 2014 with “Girl In A Country Song,” which appeared on their 2015 debut album Start Here. The project also featured fan favorites like “Fly” and “Shut Up and Fish.” In 2020, “Die From A Broken Heart” became their second No. 1 hit.

Their most recent project, Love & Light, was released in May 2025. Just a few dates remain on their 2026 headline run, named after their latest album. It kicked off in St. Petersburg, FL on February 19 and will wrap up in Madison, WI on March 28.

2026 NFL Free Agency: Who Signs Top RBs Kenneth Walker, Tyler Allgeier, Travis Etienne?

Kenneth Walker III struck another blow for the resurgence of running backs by earning the Super Bowl MVP award after the Seattle Seahawks’ runaway win over the New England Patriots. Now, Walker will see if he can turn that success into a big payday. The Seahawks declined to use the franchise tag on the Michigan State product, allowing him to enter free agency. A second-round selection by Seattle in the 2022 draft, Walker is the headliner of a solid if not spectacular running back group set to hit free agency next week. The New York Jets opted to keep the top back from hitting the market, placing the franchise tag on Breece Hall at $14.3 million. Along with Walker, however, other backs expected to make a splash in free agency include Rico Dowdle and bruising runner Tyler Allgeier. Here, we find the best home for each of the top five free-agent rushers. 5. Rachaad White: Jacksonville Jaguars White effectively served as half of Tampa Bay’s running back tandem with Bucky Irving, averaging just over 1,000 yards from scrimmage and 50 catches a year. In four seasons with the Bucs, White scored 25 total touchdowns. A good fit for the 27-year-old back would be to reunite with his former offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay, Jacksonville head coach Liam Coen, who should understand how to maximize White’s skill set. With Travis Etienne potentially leaving in free agency, White would give Coen a productive runner familiar with his offensive scheme to pair with second-year pro Bhayshul Tuten. 4. Tyler Allgeier: Seattle Seahawks Walker has priced himself out of returning to Seattle, so former Falcon Allgeier could give the Seahawks a solid option at a reasonable price. Plus, he should fit the system of new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury, who will lean on the zone running scheme from his time with the San Francisco 49ers. Allgeier is one of the best zone running backs on the market and has a nose for the end zone, with eight rushing touchdowns last year for Atlanta. That will be important for Seattle GM John Schneider, whose best goal-line runner, Zach Charbonnet, will be returning from season-ending knee surgery. And Allgeier doesn’t turn the ball over. 3. Rico Dowdle: Washington Commanders Washington is looking to add a thumper to a running back room led by Jacory Croskey-Merritt. At 5-foot-11 and 215 pounds, Dowdle possesses the ability to run through traffic and would add a home-run hitter to the backfield. Dowdle has recorded back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, first with the Dallas Cowboys and then with the Carolina Panthers last year. Paired with third-year quarterback Jayden Daniels in the backfield, Dowdle would have another opportunity to post big numbers. Head coach Dan Quinn wants to run the football and play good defense, and Dowdle would give Washington’s running game an added boost. 2. Travis Etienne: Kansas City Chiefs Kansas City averaged just 106.6 rushing yards per game last year, No. 25 in the NFL, so the Chiefs need to upgrade their running game from the tandem of Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt. Also, quarterback Patrick Mahomes is recovering from season-ending knee surgery, which means the Chiefs will have to lean on running the football more next season. Etienne was one of the best backs in football in 2025, totaling 1,107 rushing yards and seven touchdowns with the Jaguars. He can also catch the ball out of the backfield, with 36 receptions for 292 receiving yards and seven scores. Etienne would add a dynamic, explosive dimension to Kansas City’s offense. 1. Kenneth Walker III: Denver Broncos The Broncos need an offensive boost to compete for a Super Bowl, so why not bring in a dynamic runner who just won a Lombardi Trophy? Walker would be even more dangerous playing behind Bo Nix, one of the most athletic quarterbacks in the league and always a threat to run himself. In a division with the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders and the Chiefs, adding a dynamic playmaker like Walker to one of the best defenses in the league would give the Broncos an advantage in the AFC West. I, for one, would be very interested to see how head coach Sean Payton and first-time playcaller Davis Webb use the Super Bowl MVP.Latest Sports News from FOX Sports

‘Good riddance’: Dems cheer Noem’s ouster — and call for more departures

Democrats celebrated Kristi Noem’s firing as the Homeland Security secretary on Thursday, while calling for more heads to roll among President Donald Trump’s more controversial aides and advisers.

“Kristi Noem will go down as the most shamelessly incompetent and cruel Homeland Security Secretary in U.S. history,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom wrote on X. “Firing her is not enough. NOEM, GREG BOVINO, and STEPHEN MILLER all must be held accountable for terrorizing and endangering the American people.”

Several other potential 2028 presidential candidates were quick to join the chorus applauding the move, seizing on the opportunity to push for further personnel changes at the highest levels of the Trump administration.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker also warned in a video posted to social media that Noem would still “be held accountable.”

“Hey, Kristi Noem, don’t let the door hit you on the way out,” he said. “Here’s your legacy: corruption and chaos, parents and children were teargassed. Moms and nurses, U.S. citizens, getting shot in the face. Now that you’re gone, don’t think you get to just walk away.”

Noem’s impending departure — Trump wrote Thursday on Truth Social that she’ll soon become the inaugural “Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas” — brings to a close a tumultuous yearlong stint at the agency. Trump also announced that he intends to tap Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) to replace Noem atop the department.

Noem is the most senior administration official to depart thus far in Trump’s second term.

But Democrats were quick to signal they were not satisfied with her exit, swiftly calling for Trump to axe other Cabinet-level officials. Both House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.) urged Trump to fire embattled Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.), meanwhile, said Trump should cut loose Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. next. Maryland Gov. Wes Moore also celebrated Noem’s ouster.

Noem came under bipartisan fire for her alleged relationship with Trump ally Corey Lewandowski, which she denies, and for labeling two Minnesota protesters killed by federal law enforcement in January “domestic terrorists.”

The former South Dakota governor also faced questions about a $220 million DHS ad campaign, testifying during a Tuesday congressional hearing that Trump approved the spending — a claim he later denied in an interview with Reuters.

“Time and time again, Secretary Noem failed the American people and her duty to the Constitution,” Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) wrote on X. “This was particularly true in how she oversaw ICE. Her departure demonstrates that if you don’t uphold the most basic American values, the American public wants you gone.”

Several Democratic lawmakers also indicated that Noem’s departure does not change their demands surrounding funding for DHS and for reforms at Immigration and Customs Enforcement amid an ongoing partial government shutdown.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Thursday that ICE faces deeper problems that cannot be addressed with a single personnel change.

“The problems at ICE transcend any one individual. … It goes beyond any one person,” he said Thursday. “You need to straighten out the whole agency. The rot there is deep.”

Republicans, meanwhile, largely fell in lockstep behind Mullin — who said Thursday he was “excited about the opportunity” — and he will likely face a smooth confirmation process. Some Republican lawmakers acknowledged that a leadership shakeup at DHS was overdue.

“It was time for a change,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) wrote in a social media post, while Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) said the decision was “good for the president and his legacy on border and deportation.”

Savannah Guthrie TODAY Show Future Decided: Will She Return?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The following post must begin with an obvious caveat:

Savannah Guthrie has far bigger things to worry about these days than the state or future of her career.

As you’ve very likely heard about by now, the journalist’s mother, 84-year old Nancy Guthrie, has been missing for over a month now.

In a shocking and troubling turn of events, new reports indicate she may have been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel.

(NBC)

We certainly can’t verify this speculation at the moment — but we do know that the long-running anchor returned to the morning show’s studio on March 5 for the first time since she stepped back from the production amid the search for her missing mother.

According to People Magazine, Guthrie thanked the staff and crew for all of their love, prayers and support and for “caring about my mom as much as I do” during her visit.

She added, in part:

“I wanted you to know that I’m still standing, and I still have hope, and I’m still me. And I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be. I’m holding onto my faith. I still believe. And as my mom would say, ‘where else would I go?’”

The co-anchor, who has been with the program since 2011, also made her intentions (or her hopes, perhaps) clear:

“I have every intention of coming back. I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to. You’re my family. And, I would like to try.”

Guthrie, of course, has been absent from the air since her mother vanished. But she hasn’t been absent from the headlines.

In February, Savannah Guthrie posted a video in which she offered $1 million to anyone who is able to provide information regarding the whereabouts of Nancy.

“We need to know where she is. We need her to come home,” Savannah said in a video released on Instagram and other platforms, adding:

“Someone out there knows something that can bring her home. Somebody knows. All of the information about this reward and the details are in the caption below. You can call the 1-800 tipline. You can be anonymous if you want. And we are begging you to please come forward now.”

(Instagram)

During her stop by the set on Thursday, Guthrie hugged everyone on site.

Her friend and colleague Dylan Dreyer then led a “beautiful” group prayer for everyone, which began as follows:

“We’re here holding hands as a family, in a place where we don’t understand why this is happening…. It is not too bold to ask God for the biggest miracles every day.”

A show spokesperson has confirmed most of this reporting.

“Savannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her TODAY colleagues,” this individual says in a statement.

“While she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home.”

Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones also discussed Savannah’s visit during the show’s fourth hour.

“In her perfect way, she talked to us, hugged every single person in this room, the crew,” Jones told viewers. “She said she has the intention to return to the show. Even though it feels like the hardest thing to do, it’s also her home.”

Until this occur, Hoda Kotb will continue to play a role on Today.

“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support,” Guthrie said in a February 2 message. “Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear Nancy.”
