Justin Moore is taking a temporary break from touring as he focuses on his health.
The country singer shared the news with fans on Monday (June 6), revealing that he will be stepping away from the road for a short period and, as a result, will be unable to perform several upcoming shows. In a statement posted to social media, Moore said the decision was made with his family in mind and thanked fans for their understanding and support.

“I’ve made the decision to take some time to focus on my health. As a result, I’ll be stepping away from touring for a short period and will be unable to perform some upcoming shows,” he wrote. “This is the right decision for me and my family, and I appreciate everyone’s understanding and support. I look forward to getting back out there later this summer and doing what I love most.”
Fans rallied around the “Small Town USA” singer in the comments section.
“Praying for you! Take all the time you need,” one fan wrote, while another shared, “Prayers for you and your family. Rest and get healthy.”

It’s currently unclear which shows will be affected by Moore’s break from the road. At this time, his website lists June 11 as his next scheduled tour date.
Moore is currently on the road with Riley Green as direct support on the Cowboy As It Gets Tour. The trek is next set to stop in Holmdel, New Jersey on June 18, where Moore is also listed as the special guest, along with several other dates throughout the run. Fans will need to stay tuned for further updates on his touring plans.
Justin Moore is known for hits like “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,” “Til My Last Day,” and “Bait a Hook.” Earlier this year, the hitmaker suffered a skiing accident that left him with a torn MCL, forcing him to wear a brace on stage during performances.
During an appearance on Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton, Moore opened up about the injury, saying, “We just got back from skiing in Aspen, where I tore my MCL like an idiot. It didn’t require surgery. A meniscus would, and an ACL would, but my doctor said the MCL does not require surgery. So that’s good news.”
Moore, his wife, and their four kids are all avid skiers, and he has long considered himself experienced on the slopes. But this time, things didn’t go as planned.

“We’ve been taking the kids skiing for spring break for ten years. I was skiing the best I have in years. I was skiing with good skiers. I kept up with them for 4-5 runs. We went through this trick part. Then my knee went in one direction, and the rest of my leg went in the other. I knew from playing sports that it wasn’t good.”
It’s currently unclear whether the skiing accident is connected to his most recent string of show cancellations.
