Stella Lefty is an artist you’ve likely come across while scrolling social media, thanks to her catchy, toe-tapping tracks and emotionally charged songwriting. Many first discovered her through her viral song “Boston,” but now listeners are getting to know the artist behind it.
The Illinois born, Los Angeles based singer/songwriter began teasing the addicting chorus of “Boston” ahead of its March 27 release, putting her heart on display in the mid-tempo tune that captures the exhilarating feeling of unexpectedly falling for someone new. Prior to that, her breakout single “Thinking ‘bout You” was already gaining major online traction and earning over 15 million streams.
In a short time, “Boston” has far surpassed her first single, racking up more than 40M streams and continually moving up the charts. She officially made her first entry onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and as of Friday, May 1, sits at #51. Additionally, it appears at #14 on Billboard’s ‘Hot Country Songs’ chart and #53 on UK’s Official Singles Chart. The song has also found its way into Spotify’s coveted ‘Today’s Top Hits’ playlist and is steadily moving up on radio charts.
The newest track to gain attention through Lefty’s raspy vocals is her late-night heartbreak anthem, “I Know I Know.” Her words quickly ignite the reality of how quickly emotions can come rushing back when you try to move on from someone. On the surface, it follows a night out where the narrator is determined to convince themself that they have stepped into new version that has “moved on” but the truth is they can’t shake that lingering loneliness.
When any kind of alcohol comes into play, it instantly becomes the trigger that breaks down that confidence. With just “one glass of wine” or “one shot of tequila,” memories of a past relationship come flooding back, along with the urge to go right back to that person.
“I know, I know/ I should stay out late/ I know, I know that a heart unbreaks/ But one wrong sip is all it takes/ I know, I know I’ll be at your place/ I know, I know that’s all it takes,” Lefty sings.
The infectious hook has once again been flooding TikTok and now fans can finally get their hands on the full version of the single, getting the complete picture on the story and emotions at hand.
On top of making music that fans can’t stop listening and singing along to, there has been some major speculation circulating that the Lefty is dating rising country music singer/songwriter Vincent Mason. The two had people buzzing when Lefty shared multiple videos singing and cozying up with the Georgia native. However, they have not confirmed nor denied the truth behind their relationship status.

Lefty’s momentum as an artist has continued to build while out on the road supporting acts like Alessi Rose, Jessie Murph, and Wyatt Flores. She also recently made several pop-up appearances at Stagecoach in Indio, CA. She first made her debut at Diplo’s Honky Tonk on Saturday, where she surprised fans on stage to sing “Boston.” Next, she joined Wyatt Flores’ set to perform his single “Milwaukee” as well as “Boston” and ended her run at Cameron Whitcomb’s set.
Lefty has several more festival appearances on the books, including Lollapalooza and Osheaga, while also gearing up for her own headline shows that sold out within minutes. She’s slated to perform in LA, at The Moroccan Lounge on May 13 and in NYC, at Mercury Lounge on May 19, followed by a tour with Tucker Wetmore in August and September.
