Riley Green is officially headed to The Voice.
Riley Green On The Voice Season 30
The country hitmaker has been announced as a coach for Season 30 of NBC’s hit singing competition series, joining previously confirmed coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine. The announcement arrived Saturday afternoon after The Voice spent the previous day teasing fans with a pair of cryptic country-themed clues on social media.

Teasers Pointed To A Country Star
The first teaser featured the show’s iconic red chair sitting in a countryside setting complete with a barn and sunset in the background. Fans quickly began analyzing the details, including a brown cowboy hat resting on the chair and what appeared to be a glass of sweet tea nearby.
“Something’s brewin’… and it sounds pretty country…,” the caption teased.
About an hour later, the show shared a second clue, this time featuring a camo-covered chair placed in a marshy outdoor setting with a duck flying overhead, further fueling speculation that a country star was joining the panel. Several fans guessed correctly in the comments, speculating that it was Riley Green joining the show.

The reveal marks another major career milestone for Green, who continues to expand his reach beyond country radio and the touring world. He now joins a long list of country artists who have served as coaches on The Voice.
Which Country Singers Have Served As Coaches?
Of course, Blake Shelton remains the show’s most recognizable country coach, serving an impressive 23 seasons as one of the original panelists. Reba McEntire has also become a fan-favorite coach after previously appearing as both a Battle Advisor and Mega Mentor on the series.

Dan + Shay later made history as the show’s first-ever coaching duo, while Kelsea Ballerini stepped into the role after first serving as an advisor for Team Kelly and later filling in as a guest coach when Clarkson was ill.
Riley Green Acting Debut
This won’t be Green’s first time stepping into the television world. Earlier this year, he made his acting debut on CBS’ Marshals, portraying Garrett, a former Navy SEAL with a troubled past.

The announcement comes during an especially busy season for the Alabama native. Green is currently out on his Cowboy As It Gets Tour and is also heading into the upcoming ACM Awards with multiple nominations, including Male Artist of the Year. He is additionally nominated for Album of the Year for Don’t Mind If I Do (Deluxe), Music Event of the Year for “Don’t Mind If I Do” featuring Ella Langley, and Artist-Songwriter of the Year.
Green is also set to perform during the 61st Annual ACM Awards on Sunday, May 17. The ceremony will stream live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas exclusively on Prime Video beginning at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT for viewers across more than 240 countries and territories.
Season 30 of The Voice is expected to premiere this fall on NBC, though an official premiere date has not yet been announced.
