Cody Johnson has announced plans to release his new studio album, Banks Of The Trinity, on June 26, 2026.
Produced by his longtime collaborator Trent Willmon, the album showcases a different side of Johnson, offering fans a deeper look into his childhood and the place he grew up. The album’s title is a nod to the Trinity River near his hometown, and even the cover art reflects that connection, featuring a photo of Lawrence’s Grocery Store in Sebastopol. As a kid, Cody would ride his bike two miles down a dirt road to the small-town store to grab a cream soda and a Blue Bell ice cream bar. He’d stick around for a bit, listening to the old men talk, before heading back home with a basket full of groceries.
Ahead of the album announcement, Johnson spoke with Billboard, sharing the inspiration behind the project.

“On this album, I wanted to tell the story about my childhood,” the Texas native shared. “When I heard the song ‘Banks Of The Trinity’ for the first time, it was like this portrait showed in my head of memories that I had honestly forgotten. It just took me back home to Sebastopol, Texas, where I grew up on the Trinity River. I had tears in my eyes when I heard it for the first time.”
To celebrate the announcement of Banks Of The Trinity, Johnson also released “I Want You.”
The tender love song, written by Tom Douglas, Tony Lane, and Matt Rogers, finds the CMA Male Vocalist of the Year assuring his other half that he loves her in every version of herself. Carrying a message of unconditional love, the track reflects the kind of deep, enduring connection he shares with his wife, Brandi.
“I want you when you’re pretty/ And I want you when you ain’t/ I want you when you’re a sinner/ And I want you when you’re a saint/ I want you till the cows come home/ And till the moon turns blue/I want you,” he sings on the opening verse.
The multi-platinum-selling star continues to climb the charts at country radio, with “The Fall” sitting in the Top 5 this week.

Johnson’s latest success comes as he earns four nominations at the 61st ACM Awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year (“The Fall”), and Visual Media of the Year for “The Fall.”
The superstar is also set to take the stage during the show alongside Lainey Wilson, Riley Green, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, and more. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be livestreamed exclusively on Prime Video.

Natalie Portman just shared some very exciting news.
The beloved actress has revealed that she’s pregnant with her third child!
Yes, though she’s famous for keeping her private life as private as possible, Natalie decided to share that she and partner Tanguy Destable are expecting.

“Tanguy and I are very excited,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.
“I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
Natalie already has two kids from her marriage to Benjamin Millepied. We don’t know exactly when she started dating Destable, but the two of them went public with their relationship in March of last year.
As we said earlier, Portman is usually very private about the details of her personal life.
On the few occasions that Natalie has spoken about her two children, she’s made it clear that she absolutely loved being a mom:

“I feel like it’s the phase of my career where I’m really trying to just impress my kids,” the actress told Variety in 2022.
Earlier this year, she told Jimmy Fallon that her son Aleph and developed his own fashion line called Vanté.
“My son, my 14-year-old, started a clothing line called Vanté. I’m very proud of him,” she said.
“He really just did it all on his own. And so I wore one of his shirts on stage. So I just kind of felt like a banner for him. It was very exciting.”
Just this week, Portman sat down with fellow actress Jenna Ortega for a piece for Interview magazine.
“My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are,” she told Ortega.
“Also, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my friends, with their kids and my kids; that’s pretty fun,” Portman continued, adding:
“I’m not a particularly private person in real life—I’ll tell you anything—but in public, it was so clear early on that if you tell people how private you are, your privacy gets respected a lot more.
“I set up a little bit of a barrier to be like, ‘I’m not going to do photo shoots with my kids.’”
Knowing how much she loves raising her existing kids, it’s no great surprise that she’s decided to have one more.
Our sincere congratulations go out to Natalie and Tanguy on this joyous news.

A new greatest hits compilation celebrating the work of New Jack Swing pioneers Tony! Toni! Toné! is coming soon. The 11-track collection will compile some of the group’s most memorable numbers, including “Feels Good,” “Anniversary,” and “Me & You.”
Formed in 1986 after a stint on Prince’s Parade tour, Tony! Toni! Toné!’s catalog spans four studio albums released between 1988 and 1996. Consisting of brothers D’Wayne Wiggins and Raphael Saadiq and their cousin Timothy Christian Riley, the trio became one of the pre-eminent R&B groups of the 1990s, and paved the way for the neo-soul moment that would emerge in the latter half of the decade. Today, they remain one of the top-selling R&B outfits of all time. The group disbanded in 1997 following the release of their final album House of Music, widely considered their strongest work.
Among the tracks featured on the new compilation is “Feels Good,” the band’s breakthrough crossover hit from their 1990 album The Revival. Recorded and produced largely by the group themselves, the single topped the R&B chart for two weeks and reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, eventually selling over one million copies. It was the group’s first single to crack the Top 10 of the Hot 100. The record also features “Anniversary,” from their 1993 double-platinum album Sons of Soul, is also set to appear, as is their 1991 track from John Singleton’s Boyz n the Hood, “Me & You.”
The Hits Of Tony! Toni! Tone! is just the latest greatest hits compilation the trio has released. They also shared Hits in 1997, which peaked at No. 54 on the Top R&B Albums chart. The new collection, however, is the first retrospective to be released since Wiggins passed away from bladder cancer in March 2025, at age 64. In 2023, the original lineup reunited for what would be their final tour, a US tour marking the 30th anniversary of Sons of Soul. At the time, it marked their first tour together in 25 years.

The family of late San Diego Padres owner Peter Seidler is nearing a sale of the team, a person with knowledge of the negotiations told The Associated Press on Friday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Padres aren’t commenting publicly on the process. The Wall Street Journal first reported the imminent deal with private equity billionaire Jose E. Feliciano and his wife, Kwanza Jones. The team is expected to be sold for $3.9 billion in a record deal for a Major League Baseball team, easily topping the approximately $2.4 billion paid by Steven Cohen for the New York Mets in 2020. The 53-year-old Feliciano is the co-founder and managing partner of Clearlake Capital, a private equity firm based in Santa Monica, California. The firm was part of an investment group that purchased Premier League club Chelsea in 2022, with Los Angeles Dodgers minority owner Todd Boehly becoming the Blues’ chairman. Seidler’s family began to explore a sale of the Padres last November, two years after the death of the popular Peter Seidler. His brother, John Seidler, has served as the Padres’ chairman since then. Peter Seidler was part of a group that bought the Padres in 2012, and he became the team’s primary owner in 2020. He enthralled San Diego’s baseball fans with his free-spending eagerness to win the Padres’ first World Series, and general manager A.J. Preller built a series of exciting teams that have reached the MLB playoffs in four of the last six seasons — a first in team history. The Padres’ potential sale price reflects their value as San Diego’s only franchise in North America’s four traditional major sports leagues, leading to a passionate fan base in their attractive home at downtown Petco Park. The team has set attendance records in each of the past three seasons, capped last season by drawing a whopping 3,437,201 fans — the second-most in the majors to the Dodgers, who play in their much larger stadium in Chavez Ravine. Feliciano was born and raised in Puerto Rico before attending Princeton and Stanford. He co-founded Clearlake Capital two decades ago. We have tragic news to report from the world of sports today.
Garret Anderson — the MLB legend who spent the bulk of his career with the Los Angeles Angels — has passed away.
News of his passing comes courtesy of a report from his former team.

“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Angels Hall of Famer Garret Anderson,” the Angels wrote in an X post Friday.
“Garret will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Angels fans for his professionalism, class, and loyalty throughout his career and beyond. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Anderson family.”
Anderson won a World Series with the Angels in 2002.
And his 2,368 hits made him the team’s all-time leader.
Anderson went on to play for the Braves and Dodgers, but he was inducted into the Angels’ Hall of Fame in 2016.
On X (formerly Twitter), thousands of tributes poured in from friends, teammates, and a legion of adoring fans:
“I really enjoyed getting to know GA over the years, heartbreaking to hear, love and prayers to the entire Anderson family,” one user wrote.
“Man, that hurts. Angels legend and I hope and pray for his family. Life is so precious and you never know when your number will be called,” another added.
“Anderson is Angels franchise leader in games, hits, runs, RBIs and more. Good man who was respected by all. Heart attack is suspected,” baseball journalist Jon Heyman chimed in.
No cause of death has been revealed, and reports indicate only that Anderson suffered some sort of “medical emergency.”
However, Heyman is not the first to suggest that Garret may have had a heart attack.
Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this enormously difficult time.
