Daryl Hannah Blasts Ryan Murphy, ‘Love Story’ In Shocking Essay

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Love Story might be the hottest show on TV right now.

But actress Daryl Hannah is decidedly not a fan of the melodrama based on the lives of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.

Hannah dated JFK Jr. before his marriage to Bessette, and to say that her portrayal in the show is less than flattering would be putting it very mildly.

Now, she’s calling out the show and its executive producer, Ryan Murphy, for distorting the facts of her life.

“I have long believed that engaging with distortion often amplifies it,” Hannah wrote in an essay published by the New York Times.

“But a recent tragedy-exploiting television series about John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette features a character using my name and presents her as me,” Hannah continued, adding:

“The choice to portray her as irritating, self-absorbed, whiny and inappropriate was no accident.”

“The actions and behaviors attributed to me are untrue.”

She went on to accuse the show of “textbook misogyny” by portraying her as a “rival” to Bessette.

Hannah also called out the series for depicting her as a habitual cocaine user who was desperate to marry Kennedy.

“I have never used cocaine in my life or hosted cocaine-fueled parties,” she wrote.

“I have never pressured anyone into marriage. I have never desecrated any family heirloom or intruded upon anyone’s private memorial. I have never planted any story in the press. I never compared Jacqueline Onassis’ death to a dog’s.”

She added that in the weeks since the show debuted, she has “received many hostile and even threatening messages from viewers who seem to believe the portrayal is factual.”

“My silence should not be mistaken for agreement with lies. Apparently, my discretion makes me a target,” she continued.

“Know that most (if not all) of those claiming to have any intimate knowledge of our personal lives are self-serving sensationalists trading in gossip, innuendo and speculation.”

Hannah also called out Love Story for dishonoring the legacy of the Kennedy’s by portraying such tragic events in such an irresponsible manner.

Kennedy and Bessette were both killed when a plane piloted by Kennedy crashed in 1999. Hannah has been married to rock legend Neil Young since 2018.

Murphy and the rest of the producers of Love Story have not yet responded to Hannah’s comments.

Janelle Brown Shares Beautiful Message on Anniversary of Son’s Suicide

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Janelle Brown took to Instagram this week in order to acknowledge the most heartbreaking anniversary any parent could ever envision.

On Thursday, the long-time Sister Wives cast member shared a new Instagram post that was directed at her son Garrison… who took his own life on March 4, 2024.

“Hi sweetheart. I’ve felt you around today. This is my favorite picture of you. You were so happy,” Brown wrote as a caption to a photo that feature Garrison in military garb.

“I had protected this day on my calendar for weeks. I didn’t know what I was going to do, but I wanted the ability to choose when the day arrived.”

As fortune would have it, Janelle officially moved into her North Carolina home on the anniversary of Garrison’s passing.

“It turned out the movers I hired to help me bring the big things from storage to the new house could only move me today. I think it was the perfect thing,” she explained to both her son and her followers.

“I was so busy but it was also significant to me that today would have signs of the new chapter, the new life that has begun for me since you left.”

Speaking to People Magazine last May, Janelle detailed the final days of Garrison’s life.

“I knew he was struggling. I always just picked up the phone and I always make it a point to just talk to him. And it wasn’t really about anything,” Brown told this outlet last year, adding:

“He would go through periods where he was really good, and then he just would have a binge, just as part of the cycle, I think…

“I don’t know what happened that night he did that because he’s had other nights like this where he would drink and then pass out, and he would go kind of radio silent, but he’d be back in the morning. “I don’t know. I don’t know what happened this time.”

It’s just so, so sad.

Aside from Garrison, Janelle and Kody Brown — who were spiritually married from 1993 to 2022 — share children Logan, 31, Maddie, 30, Hunter, 29, Gabriel, 24, and Savanah, 21.

In a September episode of Sister Wives, Janelle and Maddie revealed they planned to honor Garrison on their North Carolina property with a flower garden.

“Garrison’s always in our thoughts, right? And we will definitely, probably have a part of the flower garden that’s really more of a memorial to him and to Bob’s Floral, his Hawaiian shirt shop,” Janelle said at the time. “He’ll always be here. He will be represented here for sure on this property.”

WBC Daily: Shohei-Time in Tokyo; Mexico Rolls; Team USA Gears Up For Opener

All-Stars, MVPs, and Cy Young winners. Plenty of MLB’s best players will be taking the diamond and representing their countries at the 2026 World Baseball Classic. We’re following along with the top moments of each day. So far, Australia and Japan have registered wins. Here’s the best of the action so far on Friday, March 6:JUMP TO: Shohei Shines | Australia Undefeated | Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico Roll | USA Set For Brazil Shohei-Time For Japan The last time we witnessed Shohei Ohtani at the World Baseball Classic was back in 2023, when he struck out his then-Angels teammate Mike Trout to secure the title for Japan over Team USA. Three years later, the Dodgers two-way superstar and back-to-back World Series champion picked up right where he left off with Team Samurai. Ohtani hit a grand slam in the second inning on Friday at the World Baseball Classic, pushing Japan to a quick lead over Chinese Taipei. He also doubled in his first at-bat in the first inning. Ohtani and Co. brought the capacity crowd at the Tokyo Dome in Japan to their 13-0 win early Friday. The champions are favorites to win Pool C (which also includes Australia, Korea, and Czechia) and advance to the WBC quarterfinals. Expect Ohtani, who will only be hitting at the WBC to keep his arm fresh ahead of the Dodgers’ quest for a World Series three-peat, to keep wow-ing the crowd. That includes superstar (and team Puerto Rico fan) Bad Bunny, who was in the crowd for Japan’s win. Australia’s MLB Crew Off To Strong Start Two games, two wins for Team Australia. Chicago White Sox infielder Curtis Mead helped the Aussies take down Czechia 5-1 on Friday in Tokyo. Mead had a three-run shot to keep the momentum going for Australia. In their win over Chinese Taipei on Thursday, Travis Bazzana, the first pick in the 2024 MLB amateur draft taken by the Cleveland Guardians, had himself a homer. Australia reached the quarterfinals in 2023. As part of Pool C that includes Japan and Korea, they’ll need to keep the momentum going if they want to reach the knockouts as one of the two teams to advance. Homers Power Cuba Over Panama Livan Moinelo (Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks) and Yariel Rodriguez (Blue Jays) combined for six scoreless innings as Cuba opened its WBC account with a win over Panama. Guardians left-hander Logan Allen started for Panama and allowed three runs on five hits over three innings, striking out five. Cuba got home runs from Yoelkis Guibert and Yoan Moncada for its offense. Cuba is off on Saturday before taking on Colombia on Sunday in Puerto Rico. Venezuela Rolls Past Netherlands Venezuela started its WBC with a win over the Netherlands in Miami. New Red Sox left-hander Ranger Suárez threw two innings and allowed one run, while Luis Arraez and Willson Contreras each had two RBIs to power the offense. Pirates pitcher Antwone Kelly allowed two runs over three innings, while Phillies prospect Jaydenn Estanista allowed four runs without recording an out in the fifth inning. Venezuela will face Israel on Saturday night, while the Netherlands will face Nicaragua at noon ET. Mexico Blows Past Great Britain Mexico didn’t initially make it easy on themselves but a late-game surge saw them beat Great Britain in Houston. Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Jonathan Aranda hit a three-run shot in the eighth inning to break open a 1-1 stalemate. Mariners outfielder Randy Arozeanra singled in an insurance run as Mexico sealed the game 8-2. Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 0-for-5 for Great Britan, who’ll next face the USA on Friday. Team USA Set For Opener San Francisco Giants ace Logan Webb will start on the mound for Team USA in its first World Baseball Classic game Friday night against Brazil. With that group of All-Stars (and many), Team USA is on a mission to capture the title after falling short in 2023. The starting lineup is an eye-opening assortment of big-time talent Yankees superstar Aaron Judge hitting third and Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber in the clean-up spot. In an exhibition win over the Rockies on Wednesday, Judge crushed a 453-foot solo homer in the first inning of the team’s exhibition game.Latest Sports News from FOX Sports

Sam Asghari Warns Press ‘Could Hurt’ Britney Spears While She’s …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

There are so many opinions floating around about Britney Spears’ DUI.

This is a great opportunity for the people who’ve been waiting for her to make a mistake.

How does ex-husband Sam Asghari feel?

He didn’t plan to speak about his ex-wife, but when the topic came up, he answered.

Sam Asghari speaks in from of a blue screen.

He didn’t intend to talk about Britney Spears at all

Like many Iranian-Americans, 32-year-old Sam Asghari has nuanced takes on Trump’s illegal war on Iran.

The deaths and war crimes are adding up. Over a thousand people, many of them innocents — and even children — have died.

But the Ayatollah was a vicious ruler and a butcher who, earlier this year, had slaughtered tens of thousands of his people for protesting his brutal regime.

So Asghari has to walk the narrow line of horror and celebration, calling it a “bittersweet moment” while talking to NewsNation.

After discussing his hopes for the Iranian people after nearly half a century under totalitarian rule and also discussing his recent film about gay Iranians, another topic arose.

Asghari then faced a question about his famous ex-wife, Britney Spears, in the wake of her DUI arrest earlier this week.

It is very common for people to bring up topics where Asghari might, if he chose, bash his ex.

(Certainly, ex-husband Kevin Federline seemed to leap at the chance to drag Britney’s name through the mud, in book form.)

Consistently, Asghari has refused to do anything of the sort.

He and Britney married in 2022 but ended up divorcing the following year, despite a half-dozen years together before their nuptials. What does he have to say about the DUI?

This is a great show of diplomacy

“My focus has been on the Iran situation,” Asghari countered. “Because it’s been such a huge situation.”

He added that the plight of Iran’s 90 million citizens “deserves my full attention.”

However, he did address Britney — even without name-dropping her.

“As it goes [for] the past, I cannot skip the past,” Asghari acknowledged. “I celebrate the past.”

He then affirmed: “I think everybody makes mistakes, and everybody deserves privacy.”

He had more to say, but only a little.

“If we learn from history,” he suggested, “we have to understand the press could hurt somebody recovering from a situation like this.”

Bold of Asghari to suggest that anyone might learn from history.

Bolder still for him to imply that those in charge are more interested in Britney’s well-being than they are in milking the story for hysteria.

Considering that this is a man whose homeland just escaped a totalitarian monster but is now the center of a war that seems intent upon destabilizing the entire region, he handled the question with a great deal of grace.

Is there any hope at society being normal about Britney?

Asghari’s diplomacy is very becoming. It is also exactly what his ex needs right now.

There are a lot of people who are invested — some financially, but most emotionally — in watching the “downfall” of Britney.

The truth is that she made a mistake. Drinking and driving, as she was allegedly doing on Wednesday night, is not okay.

We hope that she is well. We hope that she is safe.

And we are glad that at least one of her ex-husbands isn’t looking to cash in on her misfortune.
