Kenny Chesney has spent years working behind the scenes to stay in peak physical and mental shape, ensuring he can give his all on stage and keep the energy high throughout the full duration of his live shows. While his past routines involved daily, rigorous workouts, the 57-year-old country star has now embraced a variety of wellness practices that benefit both mind and body.

During a recent interview with Rob Lowe on the “Literally!” podcast, the show’s host asked Chesney, “Are you an infrared sauna guy?”
This prompted the East Tennessee native to share a glimpse into all the “witchcraft stuff” he does to stay healthy.
“I do some, I’ve got my own sauna,” he said in response.
Additionally, he also partakes in cold plunges, in order to get a balance of both heat and ice, as well as IV treatments and “plasma exchange.”
Lowe had a look of shock on his face after hearing about the plasma exchange and joked that his “homework” would be to give it a try.
Chesney warned him, “It’s really intense but it’s, you feel fantastic…it’s really great for you.”
His commitment to fitness really kicked into high gear in the early 2000s as he began playing massive stadiums, arenas, and amphitheaters. According to an excerpt from his new Heart Life Music book, shared by US Weekly, preparing for the No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems Tour in particular led him to hire a personal trainer to help him make a lifestyle change.
“I wanted someone on the road with me to work out daily and get my body into serious shape,” he explained.
With the expert by his side, Chesney began building up his strength in daily workouts that included a pushups as well as “Wheel of Death,” which he described as being “a tiny bicycle wheel that I would use to do twenty-five-yard forward and back walking planks.” The singer/songwriter also focused on his endurance, running “three to five miles three times a week.”
“It was about making my body strong enough to be able to get onstage and give it all away,” he continued. “I wanted to throw all the energy and joy I felt inside the music into the crowd, to get them to feel the way I did up there.”
It’s clear that his dedication has paid off as the “Take Her Home” singer’s performances never fail to offer nonstop energy, as he moves from one end of the stage to the other, keeping the momentum high from start to finish.

While he won’t be embarking on a traditional tour this year, Kenny Chesney will be returning to the Sphere in Las Vegas. Last year, he made his debut as the first solo headliner and first country artist to perform inside the immersive venue.
Fans can catch the unique show throughout the five scheduled dates in June, starting on the 19th and wrapping up on the 27th.
