Bailey Zimmerman has found massive success as a country artist, but as his career continues to grow, he’s made it clear he hasn’t forgotten the people who believed in him from the very beginning. One of those people is his mom, Dana, and this Christmas, he made sure she knew just how much he appreciates all the support she’s given him over the years.
On December 25, the rising star shared a heartfelt video documenting the moment he surprised his mom with a gift that he has been keeping a secret for the past six months. The clip begins with the two driving down a back road before pulling up to a large white house. Dana steps out of the car and walks up to the porch where Zimmerman then reveals the house is hers. Her initial confusion quickly turns to shock as the reality of what he just said sinks in.
She explored the furnished home before heading out back to discover a pool. The emotional moment was made even more special with Zimmerman’s grandma and the his dogs, Marley and Pie, there to witness it all.
When asked if she loves her new space, his mom happily replied, “Do I love it? It’s like being in a movie.”
His Grandma added, “I think it’s awesome…and it’s right next door to me. That’s the best part.”
Zimmerman’s caption on the heartfelt post read, “Every kids dream came true for me today… I BOUGHT MY MOM HER DREAM HOUSE FOR CHRISTMAS😭🎄MERRY CHRISTMAS TO THE BEST MOMMA IN THE WHOLE WORLD🌎❤️”
But the generosity didn’t stop there. In another video posted shortly after, Zimmerman surprised her yet again, this time with a new car.
He told the camera, “I bought my mom this house and I showed it to her this morning, but what she doesn’t know is that I got her a brand-new Escalade to go with the new house. So let’s get my mom a new Escalade. I love you, mom. Let’s go.”
Standing in front of the stunning new home, Dana reflected on how much she loves the space. Moments later Zimmerman held up a pair of keys, once again causing shock to wash over her face. The “Backup Plan” singer walked her over to the garage which opened to reveal the large, shiny white vehicle.
Tears streamed down Dana’s face before she hopped inside the car to check out her new ride.
“Mama is like floored,” she admitted.
Zimmerman explained that since his mom had given him “everything” growing up, he knew it was his turn to return the favor in a big way.
“MERRY CHRISTMAS MOM🥹❤️,” he added in the caption.
After closing out the year with an unforgettable Christmas surprise for his family, Bailey Zimmerman shifted his focus toward all the excitement to come in the new year. He delivered his last show of 2025 at New Year’s Eve LIVE: Nashville’s Big Bash and took a moment to thank the people who have supported him every step of the way while also hinting at what’s next.
He wrote, “Happy New Years, Yall!!🥳 I can’t thank everybody enough for continuing to show me and my music so much love🫶 I’m thankful, Grateful and can’t wait to absolutely CRUSH 2026!!”

When it comes to oversharing, Kelsea Ballerini has already put this “out” into practice when she gave fans a short but sweet update on her relationship status. Over the past few years, her love life has been the subject of constant speculation, but especially in recent months, when rumors circulated that she and Outer Banks star Chase Stokes had called it quits.
The couple stayed relatively quiet about the chatter online, but back in September, a rep for Ballerini conformed to PEOPLE that they had broken up after nearly three years.

But before doing so, she made it clear that they are in fact back together.

While working closely as American Idol Judges, Luke Bryan reveals that he has learned a few things about Carrie Underwood and Lionel Richie that most people wouldn’t know from the outside. He recently revealed some of these surprising and hilarious insights about his fellow judges.
Speaking with Cody Alan for SiriusXM’s Cody’s Crash My Christmas Party on The Highway, Bryan opened up about what it’s like working with the superstar panel. For starters, the country superstar admitted that Richie “loves” to indulge in unhealthy eating.
“To look like Lionel Richie and to eat like Lionel Richie, I’m going to just eat like Lionel Richie. Like In-N-Out, he just crushes it,” he joked.
Bryan also shared that the “Stuck on You” singer is particularly fond of the Burger King Whopper. Despite his love for fast-food, Bryan was quick to praise the legend saying, “Lionel is…he’s just like the best. He’s the best human being on the planet.”
Next, he reflected on the amount of hard work that goes on behind the scenes of the singing competition show, particularly calling attention to the work ethic of Idol’s longtime host Ryan Seacrest.
“When you look at when we get into the later shows of Idol, like the finales and stuff, I mean, we, as judges on those shows…we don’t have to like know scripts or anything. Well, Ryan has to study these things and study the blocking and the cameras and all that,” Bryan shared. “So, the fact that he has to show up way before us and do all that, I mean, it’s a lot of work what he does. And you just learn that there’s a reason why that he’s in that role is because he knows how to make it happen from day one.”
Then there’s Carrie Underwood, whose dedication and punctuality have clearly made an impression on Bryan. He pointed out how her promptness on set proves just how seriously she takes her role on the show.
“Well, you know, the thing about, you learn about, I know about Carrie Underwood, is like she is the most on-time person you have ever met,” he revealed. “I’m talking about punctual, dialed in, professional. I’m talking about like one minute before like Bill Belichick taught her how to show up on time. And so, I mean, I’m in my dressing room and I’m pretty good, but then I’m like, and you can look on the monitor and see who’s in the chair already. And it’s, let’s say it’s 9:03, and there’s Carrie, ready, looking at her nails…So, just her punctuality.”
The upcoming season will mark Carrie Underwood’s second time serving as a judge on American Idol after joining the crew last year. She joined Bryan and Richie in their search for America’s next singing sensation in 2025 and will reclaim her role on the judging panel when the show returns later this month.
Along with serving as a judge and navigating her own career, she is also a mom of two sons with her husband, Mike Fisher. According to Luke Bryan, this has been something the two of them have bonded over, seeing as how he is a father to two of his own biological sons with his wife Caroline as well as their three niece and nephews whom they adopted and raised after his sister and brother-in-law passed away.
“I’ll tell you, you know, this is our second year that we’ve started together and just getting to know her and her family dynamic. I mean, having two boys, it’s really fun to hear the stories going on around their household,” he added.
Bryan explained that the majority of their filming for the next American Idol run has taken place across Nashville. Back in November they were spotted filming on Belmont University and shortly after, a new twist was announced for the 2026 season. According to Deadline, the show has revealed plans to bring the golden ticket holders to Music City for the first time instead of kicking off the competition in California.
Instead of hosting the traditional “Hollywood Week” in The Golden State, they will be heading to the home of country music to introduce Hollywood Week: Music City Takeover. This exciting shift will occur after the judges select this year’s constants during auditions.
American Idol will premiere Monday, January 26 on ABC and Stream on Hulu. This will mark the singing competition show’s ninth season on ABC and Hulu and 24th overall.

Rock guitarist Ted Nugent launched another verbal attack on Hip-Hop, this time targeting Eminem in a recent video where he called the Detroit rapper a “total idiot” over his political beliefs.
The 76-year-old rocker made the comments during his “Let’s Talk Music” video, where he regularly shares his conservative political opinions with fans.
Nugent specifically criticized Eminem and Jack White after their Thanksgiving halftime performance for the Detroit Lions, claiming both artists oppose secure borders and support transgender athletes in women’s sports.
“Eminem, the guy’s a… Both of those guys, Eminem and Jack White: total idiots,” Nugent said in the video. “They don’t want their country to have secure borders. They think men should destroy women’s sports.”
Ted Nugent continued his rant by connecting the artists’ opposition to Donald Trump with various political positions, making inflammatory claims about their stance on immigration and national security.
“When you hate Donald Trump, you want men in women’s sports to destroy women’s rights,” Nugent claimed. “That’s what these guys stand for. They don’t think our border should be secured. They think we should invite jihadists in who announce they want to kill the infidels, they announce they want to kill Americans and Jack White and Eminem say ‘bring those guys in.’ But their music is soulful.”
Despite his harsh political criticism, Nugent acknowledged both artists’ musical abilities, saying “their music is soulful” while maintaining his disagreement with their political views.
This latest outburst fits a pattern for Nugent, who has repeatedly targeted Hip-Hop artists and the genre itself with controversial statements over the years. In previous interviews and social media posts, the Michigan-born rocker has called rap music “racist” and questioned whether it should be banned, showing a consistent hostility toward the culture.
Nugent first gained fame in the 1960s as lead guitarist for the Amboy Dukes, a psychedelic rock band that scored hits with songs like “Journey to the Center of the Mind.”
He later launched a successful solo career in the 1970s with albums like Cat Scratch Fever and Free-for-All, establishing himself as a hard rock icon known for his wild stage performances and advocacy for hunting.

Cardi B and marriage talk have collided at the exact moment Hip-Hop crowned her Rapper of the Year, and that timing is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in the rumor mill right now. The proclamation sent a few people into a mild panic, but the reality is simple. In a moment where Hip-Hop lacks true pop culture juggernauts moving serious units, Cardi stood tall while others stayed comfortable. That part is not really debatable.
Where things get sticky is not the charts or the sales but the heart. Or at least the Instagram captions. Cardi has been publicly referring to herself as a wife while very much still being legally married to Offset. No matter how you slice it, they are not together. This is not a union in spirit, energy, or reality. This is paperwork. A technicality. A lingering signature waiting to happen while lawyers circle the block.
The whispers say Offset wants his financial slice and that the divorce is not exactly friendly. That is the word on the street, not a sworn affidavit. At the same time, Cardi appears locked in with Stefon Diggs, a star receiver who comes with his own complicated headlines and a growing family tree that seems to sprout new branches every season. That is another conversation for another day and probably another headache.
What is interesting is Cardi’s framing. She is not presenting herself as single, confused or in between. She is presenting herself as a wife. That is intentional. With Diggs in football mode and Cardi clearly invested, it feels like she has already mentally walked down an aisle that the rest of us cannot see yet. Whether that aisle leads to peace or chaos is above my pay grade.
From a business standpoint, some will argue she should move differently. But Cardi has never lived her life based on focus groups or advisory boards. She moves on instinct and emotion, sometimes to brilliant effect and sometimes to public spectacle.
People are talking loudly, typing faster than thinking, and projecting their own anxieties onto her life. I will not join that choir. If she is happy, then she is winning. And in Hip-Hop, happiness might be the rarest flex of all.

Franky Venegas from the Island Boys got arrested on New Year’s Eve with fentanyl paraphernalia and now an acquaintance has revealed his alleged daily drug habit.
The 24-year-old TikTok star spent the first day of 2026 locked up in Collier County Jail following a traffic stop that exposed his ongoing substance abuse problems.
Deputies pulled over Venegas and driver Olivia Dubois near a Circle K gas station on State Road 29 in Naples around midnight. Officers said they observed suspicious movements by Venegas inside the black Mercedes-Benz as they approached the vehicle during a routine traffic stop.
The search of their vehicle revealed multiple items containing fentanyl residue that painted a disturbing picture of regular drug use. Deputies found a debit card with Venegas’ name that had a white powdery substance testing positive for fentanyl in the center console area.
Officers also discovered a cut straw with fentanyl residue where Venegas was sitting and a pill breaker containing the deadly synthetic opioid. The evidence suggested a pattern of frequent drug consumption rather than casual experimentation with dangerous substances.
Paris Livvy, a social media content creator who knows Venegas through influencer Jack Doherty, made shocking claims about the rapper’s drug use habits during an interview with WZVN-TV.
“They always do fentanyl like on a daily basis,” Livvy said about Venegas and his twin brother Alex. “I don’t even know how they do it.”
Livvy described Venegas as someone who became famous for being “weird” rather than talented, adding fuel to the brothers’ controversial reputation. “He’s kind of just like a joke,” she explained. “Like he kind of went famous for people being like this guy is so weird.”
The weirdest incident involving the Island Boys happened when the twin brothers posted a viral video of themselves tongue kissing each other. The controversial clip sparked massive backlash across social media platforms as fans expressed disgust over the incestuous behavior between siblings.
Franky and Alex Venegas defended the kissing video, claiming they were promoting content on their OnlyFans accounts. The brothers said the intimate moment was purely for financial gain rather than genuine romantic feelings between them.
The year 2025 proved especially difficult for both Island Boys members as their legal troubles mounted throughout the months. Franky faced his first major arrest in February 2025 during another Naples traffic stop that resulted in gun and drug charges.
Police found oxycodone pills and a spray-painted firearm without serial numbers during that February incident, leading to serious weapons charges. Franky remained out on bond for the altered firearm possession case when deputies arrested him again on New Year’s Eve.
Alex Venegas experienced his own mental health crisis in November 2025 when authorities detained him under Florida’s Baker Act. The involuntary mental health hold allows police to detain someone for 72 hours if they pose a danger to themselves or others.
The Baker Act detention happened during a livestream where Alex appeared to be having a psychotic episode that he later blamed on “multiple substances.” His brother Franky confirmed that Alex’s drug use contributed to his mental breakdown and subsequent hospitalization.
Livvy believes both brothers need professional help for their substance abuse problems rather than continued arrests and jail time.
“They’re just like not good people,” she said. “Like they’re very like crazy in real life and like they don’t really think and like definitely like I think they probably need rehab.”
