Ryan And Rory Discuss Turning Heartbreak Into Hope on ‘Lawn Chair In The Living Room’

In the midst of crisscrossing Canada and winning over a new batch of rowdy fans every night on tour, one of country music’s fast-rising duos, Ryan and Rory, sat down with us to discuss their latest release, “Lawn Chair In The Living Room.”

The upbeat track comes from a very real and very relatable moment in Rory John Zak’s life. He shared that after going through a breakup, he could’ve leaned into the heartbreak and painful emotions and written a somber ballad. Instead, he and his musical partner, Ryan Follesé, alongside their co-writers Andy Albert, Trannie Anderson, and Kevin Bard, flipped the script and turned the story into something bright, clever and hopeful.

Rory recalled preparing to head to a writer’s trip down in Panama City Beach, FL when one of their co-writers walked into his house and discovered that his furniture had been replaced by just a lawn chain in his living room. Out of concern, he asked. “‘Hey Rory, what’s going on here?’”

The singer then opened up about his recent breakup and explained he was left with an empty house and needed to get creative to fill the space.

He joked, “I took the breakup and turned it into an interior design course and put a lawn chair out of storage in the middle of my living room. I needed something to sit on. I gotta eat pizza somehow.”

Being the creative songwriters that they are, Ryan and Rory saw this as an opportunity to “turn lemons into lemonade” and write heartfelt love song.

“So the reason it kind of happened that way…our co-writer Kevin, he called me and he’s like, ‘yo, is everything okay with him? I went over to his house and there was just a lawn chair in the living room’ and I was like, ‘man, that sounds like a song title.’ We all got to the airport the next morning and everyone was like, ‘okay, that’s the song title.’ And we were honestly in too good of spirits to start the trip off writing a song that was a downer,” Ryan explained.

The song quickly became something infectious, painting a vivid picture of a man imagining the life he could’ve been living if the right person had never walked in and changed everything. Ryan and Rory come together in a string of rich, seamless harmonies as they envision an alternate version of themselves, one where their singleness results in them sleeping in late, skipping church, letting their hair grow too long, wearing wrinkled shirts, and drifting through life without much effort or intention.

Underneath the jokes and tongue-in-cheek lines, the heart of the song sends the heartfelt message that meeting the right person can quickly turn life into something fuller, brighter, and worth showing up for.

They sing, “The more I think about it/ Baby, that’s a picture I don’t wanna see/ Chances are that single me’d have/ A lawn chair in the living room/ Cable box on the floor/ One night stand with a couple cans/ Only one key to the front door/ if I’d a never met you, I’d spend all my afternoons/ On a lawn chair in the living room/ Just waiting on somebody like you.”

By the end of the track, the country stars go from envisioning this life to actually living it, as they portray themselves cleaning up their acts, getting a second key to their home and feeling grateful that they don’t have to go back to the bachelor way of life.

“Lawn Chair In The Living Room” is a clear example of Ryan and Rory’s ability to turn emotional aspects of their real lives into honest stories. When tough moments hit, they admit that they naturally turn to writing because as Rory jokingly pointed out, “It’s free therapy.”

Ryan added, “Music and writing, it might as well be a drug, so if you’re going to turn to something, you might as well turn to that and it’s the best way, I don’t know, sometimes you can’t articulate how you feel, but you can sing…We’re noticing at these shows that it’s a song that these fans have never heard before and it goes over, you just feel it in the room and that’s how you know that you articulated those thoughts the right way.”

This stand-out song follows releases such as “Together Again (feat. Jamey Johnson)” and “Girls Are Pretty,” and marks the final drop to come from Ryan and Rory in 2025. The artists quickly pointed to their collaboration with Jamey Johnson as being one of their biggest “pinch-me” moments of their careers.

“Man, I would say [it was] arguably one of the most organic collaborations,” shared Ryan. “My dad and him wrote that song when I was 20 and Nashville picks a lot of great songs, but sometimes they just leave diamonds in the rough and that song was only ever on hold for Alan Jackson.”

He goes on to say that his dad, Keith Follese, got lunch and caught up with Johnson one day and before they knew it the duo was not only in the studio recording the collaboration, but gearing up to perform at the country icon’s 50th birthday celebration at the Grand Ole Opry in July.

“A big bucket list item early for us. We didn’t expect to have a collaboration with somebody that we look up to that much.”

Rory added, “He really took us under his wing past year, and we’ll be forever grateful… People have always asked us, ‘oh, what’s your dream collab?’ I’m like, ‘well, we already had one.’”

BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville’s rising duo will continue performing select dates across the U.S. and Canada with John Morgan and the James Barker Band through December 10. When they finally return home to Nashville after their lengthy touring stretch, the pair plan to jump right back into songwriting in anticipation for the new year.

“I mean we get back December 10th or 11th, something like that in Nashville, and then we’re writing I think four days a week all the way up until Christmas,” Rory shared.

Ryan jumped in to add, “Yeah, same crew we did this current single that’s coming out with, we’re going to steal three days here right before Christmas, which just shows you how hard they work because most people have quit after Thanksgiving. We’re actually incredibly excited.”

With all their hard work, fans can expect new music in 2026 in the form of a new full-length project.

“We’re going to be working on our second record full length…And then just going out in the road, we have a couple pretty big surprises that we’re going to announce tour wise,” they teased.

A full list of Ryan And Rory’s upcoming tour dates can be found HERE.

Drake Allegedly Plans New “Beef” With Kendrick Lamar With “ICEMAN” Tour

Drake and Kendrick Lamar are once again on a collision course since Drake reportedly has it in his mind that he needs revenge.

The Toronto megastar gears up for his ninth studio album ICEMAN and, according to DJ Akademiks, a massive 2026 global run intended to challenge the record books.

Akademiks raised eyebrows during a recent stream when he claimed Drake wants to topple Kendrick’s worldwide touring crown. Weird. First of all, he’s got to contend with Travis Scott already doing that.

Kendrick currently holds the highest grossing Hip-Hop tour ever with his Grand National trek, but I believe ol boy should read AllHipHop more.

READ MORE: Travis Scott’s “Circus Maximus Tour” Pulls In Historic $265M

Drake still holds the title for the biggest touring numbers in the United States, per Ak. Akademiks believes Drake is ready to chase the global title once and for all.

“I think Drake wants to beat the world record going into next year,” Akademiks said in a clip captured on X. “I think he’s saying ‘Yo I don’t need an agent really. But if I’m gonna have an agent my agent’s not gonna rep my opp. F*ck that.’”

The timing of the claim landed right as momentum around ICEMAN continues to build. The album still does not have a public release date yet insiders have been buzzing for weeks that Drake is preparing a rollout that will hit soon. Akademiks doubled down during an earlier livestream where he revealed Drizzy has been locked into the studio and zeroed in on crafting something major for supporters.

I take this with a grain of salt since homie is Team Drizzy.

“Yo Drake been off the road he’s cooking up and it’s a beautiful thing for all Drake fans,” he said. “Now we’re going to get what we really want from The Boy. N***a hit me. He says ‘Ak the stove is hot!’ I’m just letting y’all know….‘Remember I told y’all.’ The Boy is confirming man the cook-up is happening.”

Akademiks pushed fans to give Drake room to operate as he wraps the project.

“Let my boy live in peace no livestreams collabs or whatever right now,” he added. “No random distractions. We don’t want no tings trying to jump out. Let my boy cook and whenever he’s done cheffing we gon’ have a good time man. We’re about to go through one of those again I like it.”

We? OK.

If Akademiks is right Drake could be preparing his own version of a takeover or it could be the biggest flop in history. They are doing too much. Let it drop and let it rock. ICEMAN could be dope, this anticipation stuff is overdoing it!

One Suspect Still On The Run In Delarosa Gang Killing

Delarosa was gunned down in a suspected gang-related robbery in Los Angeles that left two others wounded and has now led to murder charges against three men.

Maria De La Rosa, who performed under the name Delarosa, was killed early Saturday morning while sitting inside a parked car in Northridge.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the attackers approached the vehicle, demanded money and opened fire. The 25-year-old singer was rushed to the hospital but died from multiple gunshot wounds.

On Wednesday, prosecutors charged Francisco Otilio Gaytan, 27, Benny LiconGomez, 27, and Eduardo Lopez, 21, with one count of murder and two counts of attempted second-degree robbery. Lopez has not been taken into custody and remains at large.

“This was a ruthless and targeted attack that stole the life of a young woman and artist and inflicted profound lifelong trauma on her family and the two survivors,” said Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman. “My Office will pursue this case aggressively to ensure those responsible are held fully accountable for this senseless and deadly violence.”

The shooting occurred around 1:25 A.M., and authorities believe it was connected to gang activity. The two surviving victims were critically injured during the assault.

Delarosa had just begun to make waves in the Latin music scene. She released her debut single “No me llames” in August, and her death has sparked an outpouring of grief from the music community. Jimmy Humilde and Juan Moises, lead singer of Los Gemelos de Sinaloa, were among those who paid tribute online.

The case remains active as authorities continue to search for Lopez.

Ray J Had “Hard Time” In Jail, Says Man Pleasured Himself, Calling His Name

Ray J walked out of a Los Angeles jail and straight into controversy after recounting a disturbing encounter behind bars involving a fellow inmate’s explicit behavior.

The Hip-Hop singer and reality TV personality was arrested following a domestic altercation with his estranged wife, Princess Love, during a Twitch livestream.

A heated on-camera dispute between Ray and Princess Love escalated after he allegedly pointed a gun at his ex-wife and LAPD officers eventually took him into custody. Not long after his release, Ray jumped back online to share an unsettling story from his brief jail stint.

View this post on Instagram

“Arguing with this n#### in here jacking off in jail,” Ray J said. “It was crazy. Bro, I almost beat the n##### ass four times, ’cause I’m like, bro, I’m trying to survive in there, bro. Jacking off in there, bro. Under his bed, bro. It was crazy. I almost beat that n#### under his bed, bro. Playing with me. Talking about, ‘Ray J, Ray J!’ It was a lot. Never go to jail, y’all. It’s really bad.”

The 44-year-old was released soon after but claimed the experience was traumatic. Ray J also confirmed he’s now permanently banned from Twitch.

“Nah, we banned from Twitch permanently. Forever. We’ll never be able to go back on Twitch… We’re banned permanently.”

Princess Love later addressed the situation, denying his claims that she and her cousin were drunk and about to drive off with their kids.

“I’m not going to let him deflect and make it about me, or make it seem like I was drunk. That was not the case,” she said.

Missy Elliott Called Out Labels For Fumbling “Car Wash” Collab With Christina Aguilera

Missy Elliott wants answers about why her hit “Car Wash” remake with Christina Aguilera has vanished from streaming platforms nearly 20 years after it dropped for the Shark Tale soundtrack.

The Hip-Hop icon took to X this week to directly question Universal Music Group and Geffen Records after being flooded with messages from listeners wondering why the 2004 track is nowhere to be found online.

“The fans tagged me wanting to know why the song Car Wash on #Sharktale soundtrack not on some streaming sites… Can you please help out because many of them have been asking as you can see and miss it,” she wrote.

The high-energy duet, a modern take on Rose Royce’s 1976 disco classic, became a chart success in several countries upon its release alongside the animated film.

Despite its popularity, the song remains unavailable on primary streaming services, including Spotify and Apple Music. So far, neither Universal nor Geffen has responded publicly to Elliott’s request.

Elliott, who last released a full-length album in 2005 with The Cookbook, followed by her 2019 EP Iconology, recently teased new music during an appearance on the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast.

“I have something in the works,” she said. “It’s just different. It’s me being experimental again… I got some stuff coming. Some fire.”

No timeline has been confirmed for the release of her upcoming material.

NLE The Great Tries To Destroy “YB Better” Meme In New NBA YoungBoy Diss

NLE Choppa has officially declared war on NBA YoungBoy with the release of his scorching new diss track “Hello Revenge,” dropping Thursday night (November 28) as the latest salvo in Hip-Hop’s most heated beef of 2025.

The Memphis rapper, now performing under the moniker NLE The Great, delivered a vicious four-minute assault that directly targets the Baton Rouge star with surgical precision.

Directed by Bryson Potts and Travis Payne, the accompanying music video serves as a visual exclamation point to what many are calling the most aggressive diss track of the year.

“Rap went dead, I’ma bring it back alive/N####, I’m the truth, but the devil is a lie/YB, Louis V. belt to his spine/Anybody with him better get hiim before he cross the line, n####,” NLE The Great spits with venomous intensity on the track.

The “Louis V. belt to his spine” reference appears to refer to October’s “KO” music video, where the “Shotta Flow” hitmaker was seen striking an NBA YoungBoy lookalike with a belt in a shocking visual that sent shockwaves through social media.

But NLE The Great didn’t stop there.

He directly addressed the viral “YB better” meme that YoungBoy’s loyal fanbase has weaponized across social platforms.

“They say, ‘YB better,’ who? I’m the proof that ain’t a statement/They was putting me at two, hmm, change the conversation,” he rapped, effectively dismantling the popular phrase while asserting his own dominance.

The track arrives approximately 10 days after NBA YoungBoy appeared to fire back with “Zero IQ Freestyle,” released on November 17. In that response, the 26-year-old Baton Rouge native seemed to dismiss NLE entirely, rapping: “B####, f### you, you ain’t really Five and healin’ all with real gang hoes / ‘Respond to him,’ he ain’t never ran nothin’ down, b####, I said, ‘No.’”

The beef traces back to NLE Choppa’s explosive “KO” diss track in October, which heavily sampled 2Pac’s legendary “Hit Em Up” and saw the rapper claim that YoungBoy was “poison” to the youth.

The track marked a dramatic escalation in tensions between the two young stars.

In a recent Rolling Stone interview, NLE The Great revealed that the inspiration for “KO” came in a “vivid dream” in which he was “holding a young boy’s head in my hand, and I was bringing the head to my father in the dream.”

The disturbing imagery translated into one of the year’s most talked-about diss records. NBA YoungBoy, fresh off his successful MASA album and his first headlining arena tour that wrapped in October, has maintained his position as one of Hip-Hop’s most prolific artists.

However, NLE The Great’s relentless assault suggests this beef is far from over. The timing of “Hello Revenge” is particularly strategic, arriving just as NBA YoungBoy was scheduled to release his new album Slime Cry on Friday (November 28) at midnight.

However, fans may have to wait longer for that project as the release has been delayed.

Khloe Kardashian The Question Everyone Wants To Know About Kylie Jenner’s Boobs

Khloe Kardashian didn’t hold back during the latest episode of The Kardashians, dropping a bold comment about her sister Kylie Jenner while filming a promo for a body-swap movie campaign.

While shooting a skit for Freakier Friday, a play on the Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis classic, Khloe was asked in a confessional which sibling she’d trade places with for a day. Her answer? Kylie, of course.

“I would Freaky Friday with Kylie. I would do that because it is Kylie Jenner. We have cool friends. We have fun animals. We live in a fairy tale,” she said, before adding a pointed remark that turned heads. “We’re not dating basketball players (because) we are going to the game court side. (Kylie) is a little bit of Snow White but a little bit of Pretty Woman. Also, I would love to know what those boobs feel like.”

Kylie, 28, didn’t flinch at the comment. “I’m OK with that. I decided,” she told producers with a shrug.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder previously revealed she underwent breast augmentation in 2017, just before getting pregnant with her daughter Stormi Webster.

“I got my breasts done before Stormi… not thinking I would have a child when I was 20,” she explained during a 2023 episode of The Kardashians. “Like, they were still healing. I had beautiful breasts. Natural t**s. Just gorgeous. Perfect size, perfect everything. And I just wish, obviously, I never got them done to begin with. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about it to wait until after children.”

Kylie shares Stormi, now 7, and son Aire, 3, with rapper Travis Scott, her former partner.

Khloe, 41, has joked before about swapping lives with another sister, Kendall Jenner, in a previous season of the show.

“I want to be a supermodel, going around town, I could hook up with this person, not that Kendall does that, but I would be doing that. No kids, no responsibilities, (well) she has responsibilities, but you know what I mean,” she said at the time.

Kim Kardashian Has Holes In Her Brain Scan Reveals

Kim Kardashian received a jarring reality check during a recent episode of The Kardashians when a brain scan revealed what her doctor described as “holes” in her brain activity, just as she was deep into preparations for the California bar exam.

The SKIMS mogul sat down with Dr. Daniel Amen, a psychiatrist known for using brain imaging to assess mental health, who broke down the scan results in blunt terms.

“The low activity meant the front part of her brain wasn’t firing the way it should,” Dr. Amen told Kardashian, who appeared visibly rattled by the findings.

The scan showed reduced function in key areas responsible for focus, decision-making and memory, a fierce blow for someone trying to pass one of the most grueling professional exams in the country.

Kardashian, who had previously been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, initially dismissed the scan’s implications. But Dr. Amen linked the diminished brain activity to the immense pressure she’s been under while studying.

“It’s stress,” he explained, connecting the dots between her academic grind and neurological fatigue.

At first, Kardashian believed the aneurysm stemmed from the emotional toll of her drawn-out divorce from Kanye West, which had played out under the glare of public scrutiny.

But over time, it became clear that the relentless pace of her legal studies was taking its own toll. Her intense bar prep routine, long hours, high stakes, and little rest had become more than just a mental strain.

According to Dr. Amen, it was physically altering how her brain functions. The scan’s “holes” weren’t literal gaps, but areas of low activity that could impact her ability to retain information and make quick decisions.

For Kardashian, who has already failed the bar exam, that’s a concerning obstacle. Dr. Amen didn’t leave her without tools. He offered her strategies to manage her stress and improve cognitive function.

But the reality remains: Kardashian is stuck in a loop where the very act of studying harder may be making it harder to succeed.
