Kristin Bell Criticized For Bizarre Instagram Post About Being Killed By Husband

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Earlier this week, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary, and while fans have always enjoyed the couple’s quirky sense of humor, there are many who believe they finally went too far.

Things started innocently enough, with Kristen posting a photo in which she and

But it was the caption that left some fans confused — and others downright furious.

Kristen Bell’s domestic violence joke rubs fans the wrong way

“Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me:

“I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would,” Kristen wrote.

Needless to say, that’s not your typical anniversary caption.

And while Kristen is clearly joking (at least we hope she’s joking!) the humor didn’t work for a lot of her followers.

Some went so far as to accuse the actress of making light of abusive relationships, and many pointed out that the post came durign Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

“Domestic violence isn’t a joke,” wrote one commenter.

“Is this… supposed to be funny?” another added.

“Not funny at all. What kind of man says that to his wife? Oh wait, I know exactly what kind. Get out now, Kristen,” a third chimed in.

But others were able to see the humor in the situatiom.

Kristen earns slave from celebrity friends

“He should write for Hallmark,” wrote Howie Mandel.

“You guys are the best,” actress Zoey Deutch added.

“He totally missed out on a lucrative career in greeting cards. Happy Anniversary!” another follower enthused.

So yeah, a bit of a mixed reaction, which we guess is to be expected when you’re dabbling in such dark humor.

We’re sure Dax and Kristen are used to it by now. It’s sort of their thing.

Kevin Federline Blasts Britney Spears’ Party Girl Era, Details Upsetting Phone Call …

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Another day, another accusation against Britney Spears.

Sean Preston and Jayden James are both adults.

Without child support payments, Kevin Federline has taken up the quill and published a memoir full of eyebrow-raising claims about his famous ex-wife.

Now he’s describing the “last straw” moment — one that involved Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

Fine, what is Kevin Federline saying about Britney Spears THIS time?

In You Thought You Knew, Kevin Federline claims that Britney Spears prioritized reckless partying over their children.

“I was in Miami for work, trying to stay focused on my commitments,” he claims in the tell-all memoir, according to TMZ. “And I got a call.”

The call was from Britney at the time — but she was not alone. There were two other very famous women with her.

“It was her, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan on the line,” Federline wrote.

He accused the three of them as being “drunk as hell, begging me to come over.” (Just for the record, people do not always know when someone is drunk)

“I could hear Preston and Jayden crying in the background,” Federline then alleged.

According to him, “It had to be three or four in the morning.”

While small children may cry for any number of reasons (sometimes due to dire circumstances, but also due to minor frustrations or environmental changes — being a kid is very difficult), those are not hours during which small children should be awake.

Federline insisted: “That call was the final straw.”

He wrote that it was not the first time — it was just very memorable.

This was, for him, the final straw

“I’d already seen the photos in the tabloids,” Kevin Federline wrote about Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan.

“The ones of her out with them all night,” he specified, “partying at Paris’s Malibu place.”

Federline then claimed: “But hearing my kids crying while she was doing God-knows-what? That was it.”

He wrote: “Any deep-seated sliver of hope that I’d held onto, that we might still somehow pull it together for the kids, died right then.”

According to Federline, he felt like Britney “wasn’t ready to change” in the ways that he wanted.

He complained that he “couldn’t keep waiting for her to figure it out.”

If you are hoping for someone to change in order for a relationship to work out, you are likely setting yourself up for disappointment.

Having kids doesn’t “fix” a marriage. Getting married doesn’t “fix” a relationship. And people tend to change at their own pace, if at all.

Obviously, we cannot verify any of what Federline is claiming about his ex-wife.

We should note that both ex-husband Jason Alexander and ex-husband Sam Asghari have not exactly been Team Kevin.

The memoir is getting some unsurprising backlash

It is an understatement to say that Kevin Federline’s claims about Britney Spears are facing broad skepticism.

In many cases, even if his allegations bear some truth — and social media users are not in agreement on this — people ask why he would share this.

His sons are both adults, and some of his claims about Britney have seemed designed to humiliate them.

And, of course, his allegations are emotionally devastating to Britney herself.

The truth of the matter is that Federline wrote his memoir and likely hopes that it will sell well. Beyond that … if he’s been nursing a grudge against his ex-wife for all of these years, this is one way to pay her back.

Jill Duggar Learned Dark Family Secrets from Amy Duggar’s Book

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Jill Duggar is learning a lot from “black sheep” cousin Amy.

In her book, the Duggar cousin described how she found out that her grandfather was a predator like Josh.

Amy also described her “true monster” grandfather inflicting horrific violence — particularly upon her mother, Deanna.

As it turns out, much of this eye-opening family information is news to Jill.

Jill Duggar learned so much from cousin Amy’s book

Taking to Instagram Live, Jill Duggar Dillard and Amy Duggar King promoted the latter’s book, Holy Disruptor: Shattering the Shiny Facade by Getting Louder with the Truth.

Obviously, Amy’s reaction to Josh’s heinous crimes is a key point of the memoir.

But that is only one dark piece of the family history.

Unlike Josh’s true nature, which Jill learned as one of his victims, late grandfather Jimmy Lee Duggar’s dark side was unknown to her.

During the Live, Jill remarked on how shocked she felt as she learned about her own paternal grandfather.

“[The book is] definitely is deep,” Jill emphasized on the Live.

“Like, it goes into a lot of aspects [of the Duggar family],” she noted.

“It tells the whole truth and the reality of a lot of situations that our family lived, you know?” Jill added.

She affirmed: “Everyone is entitled to share their own story, whether we agree with them or not.”

That seems to be less a veiled hint at her own disagreements with Amy and perhaps more of a reminder that some of her siblings do not see eye to eye with Amy.

Some family secrets were kept in the dark for too long

“It’s definitely a journey that she’s been on,” Jill Duggar said of cousin Amy Duggar.

“And you can tell that through her book,” she expressed.

Jill noted that reading the memoir “was very insightful.”

She added: “We learned more about our family history than we knew.”

Husband Derick Dillard chimed in to reveal: “Some things about her grandfather she didn’t know.”

“He’s like, ‘Did you know this and that and the other about Grandpa Duggar?’” Jill recalled of chatting with Derick after he read Amy’s memoir.

“And I’m like, ‘No! Tell me more!’” she described. “And he’s like, ‘I’m literally telling you more about your grandfather than you knew.’”

Jill reiterated: “We learned more about our family history than we knew.”

She did share that they had “inklings” of what sort of person Jimmy Lee Duggar really was.

But, clearly, Deanna shared more with Amy than Jim Bob shared with his own children. (Also, because she lived with her maternal grandparents for a time, perhaps Amy simply knew them better)

Burying painful truths because they’re inconvenient can make things worse

Jill Duggar spoke of how her late paternal grandmother could be judgmental, but was in many ways also very supportive.

“Obviously she kept a lot of things quiet for a very long time,” she acknowledged. “Because she didn’t want to deal with it.”

Jill speculated: “So I think [her reaction to our tell-all books] would have been very similar.”

She added: “She would have not have wanted everything to be talked about at that time.”

However, Jill and Amy have both chosen to speak about their family. Keeping silent can at times mean helping the worst people get away with their misdeeds.

Many of the Duggar girls learned that the hard way.

Emma Watson Pregnant? The Rumor & The Truth

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Is Emma Watson pregnant?

In addition to rumors and apparent baby bump photos circulating, reports have also been making the rounds.

Some are expressing delight for the beloved actress. Others merely feel surprised.

Is it true? Here’s everything that we know:

Emma Watson in September 2025.

Social media is abuzz with Emma Watson pregnancy reactions

Obviously, not everyone discussing Emma Watson and her allegedly being pregnant is on-topic.

There is, as always, fetish discussion of the subject. (Having kinks is fine! Just please do not tag the actual celebrity when you talk about them like that)

Additionally, misogynists at times dismiss famous women, demanding that they stop talking and instead become pregnant. That is simply abhorrent.

However, a lot — perhaps even most — of the talk about the beloved British actress is about reports that she is pregnant.

As we noted, many are excited for her. Others felt that it came out of the blue.

Emma Watson in September 2023.

Notably, there were false reports of Watson being pregnant many years ago.

Around 2014, she wore an ensemble to get into the mindset and understand her character in Noah.

Photos of her wearing her prosthetic at that time have circulated for years, causing confusion in those who believe that the pics are recent (and don’t notice that she looks about ten years younger).

Notably, Watson has often kept many aspects of her personal life private.

She has, however, described herself as “self-partnered” as recently as 2019. This means that she is not necessarily looking for a relationship.

Where are these questions originating?

In 2024, an article claimed that Emma Watson was pregnant.

The article, pushed heavily on Meta platforms like Facebook and Threads, emphasized how unexpected the news was.

“Emma Watson Suddenly Announced That She Was Pregnant,” the headline begins, meandering until it trails off — inviting credulous readers to click and read more.

(Fun fact, if the now-35-year-old Millennial actress were to be pregnant, it would be a geriatric pregnancy. Feeling old yet?)

Interestingly, many of the links to these articles now lead to blank pages. One has to wonder what happened to the article. (We will speculate momentarily)

A dark mode Twitter screenshot from 2025.
In a tweet, a fan asks people to stop making and posting tasteless edits of real people like Emma Watson. Some things should not need to be said. (Image Credit: Twitter)

Another reason that fans suspect that Watson may be pregnant is that there are images of her seeming to be pregnant online.

As we noted, there are those grotesque genAI renderings. (No one should be posting AI slop for any reason)

It isn’t all the traditional fetish content that we too often see with actresses.

There are also people latching onto her as her character from the Harry Potter films, imagining Hermione Granger all grown up and pregnant.

As fans have tweeted, this has to stop. Just use actual art to draw characters. Also, given what J.K. Rowling has chosen to be, none of us should be engaging with Harry Potter content. C’mon.

Is Emma Watson actually pregnant?

There is not, at this time, any evidence that Emma Watson is currently pregnant or has ever been pregnant.

She is a fairly private person.

Advocacy and professional life aside, she considers plenty of things to be her business — and might not necessarily announce it if she were expecting.

However, the pregnancy rumors appear to stem from blatantly false articles and from manipulated images.

It seems likely that we here at THG and others will need to continue debunking this rumor for the next fifteen years or beyond. Unless, of course, it ceases to be a rumor.

Christine ‘Felt Like Slapping’ Janelle Brown: ‘You Need to Shut …

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Christine and Janelle Brown have drifted so far.

We don’t just mean physically, though Janelle moved across the country and now multiple other family members have moved to join her — to Christine’s chagrin.

Simply put, the exes of Kody simply aren’t as close as they were right after they left him.

On the latest episode, one boast had tensions spilling over.

Christine Brown gestures at the camera.

Christine Brown feels like she’s losing part of her family to Janelle

During the Sunday, October 19 episode of Sister Wives, Christine Brown grappled with Paedon moving to be closer to Janelle.

As she observed to the camera, multiple adult children from the family have moved to North Carolina.

“Paedon just moved to North Carolina this morning. Just barely,” Christine told the confessional.

Her son had appeared earlier in the episode as he prepared to move. It was an emotional experience for them both.

“There was a time when most of my kids were right next to me,” Christine explained. “And then I married David, and I feel like we had this huge, full experience. And now half my kids are gone.”

“I just feel like — I just must be a bad mom,” Christine confessed to her husband, David Woolley.

“No, you’re not a bad mom,” David reassured his wife. He added: “They all have to grow up.”

It isn’t that someone not leaving the house is a result of bad parenting. Many people live at home for economic, health, and other good reasons, and there are entire cultures where adult children are expected to live at home for a while.

Ultimately, Christine admitted to what was really bothering her.

She summarized her feeling: “They’re picking Janelle instead.” Oh, ouch!

This is where the anger came out

As it turns out, Christine and Janelle Brown had a particularly painful conversation.

“One of the times we were talking about moving, she’s like, ‘And I have all the grandkids living with me, blah blah blah,’” she recalled with a note of bitterness.

Christine added: “And I was like, thinking inside, ‘You need to shut up right now.’”

She bluntly expressed: “That was the moment where I felt like slapping her.”

Christine rhetorically asked: “How could she say that?”

Christine Brown hugs Janelle Brown.

While we’re sure that Janelle was merely expressing her own joy and not trying to taunt Christine, it was, perhaps, an insensitive remark.

And Christine admitted that her once-close bond with Janelle has waned in some ways.

She told David that she and Janelle “haven’t talked … for a while.”

According to Christine: “I think business stuff, with us separating, like we have with our business, there’s been more things that we’ve had to figure out, ironically.”

But, clearly, there is more than just professional tension. There’s geographic distance. And, on some level, there’s jealousy.

It is not immoral for Christine to envy Janelle Brown for living close to some of their family.

We hope that these ‘Sister Wives’ stars can patch things up!

Most mothers prefer to live closer to their adult children. And, understandably, Christine might take this personally.

She did decide to live in Utah. She had to know that not all of her children would want to dwell there. Particularly not after the Sister Wives crew moved around multiple times over the years.

However, unless Janelle does something genuinely wrong, her former sister wife can hopefully acknowledge that she does not deserve her ire.

It sounds like she could stand to be a little more sensitive, however.

Just a little.

Platner says he’ll remove tattoo that resembles Nazi symbol

Democratic Maine Senate hopeful Graham Platner expressed regret over getting a tattoo that appears similar to a Nazi symbol nearly two decades ago and plans to have it removed, his latest mea culpa after a week of damning headlines over resurfaced social media posts.

Platner’s campaign sought to front-run opposition research about his tattoo — which resembles a Nazi skull and crossbones — during an appearance on the liberal podcast Pod Save America on Monday, with his campaign sharing a video of him dancing shirtless. Platner said he had no idea of any Nazi link when he got the tattoo.

“It was not until I started hearing from reporters and DC insiders that I realized this tattoo resembled a Nazi symbol,” Platner said in a statement to POLITICO on Tuesday. “I absolutely would not have gone through life having this on my chest if I knew that — and to insinuate that I did is disgusting. I am already planning to get this removed.”

Platner reiterated that he got the tattoo while out drinking with fellow Marines in Croatia, choosing the skull and crossbones off a wall at the tattoo parlor. He said the similarity to Nazi iconography never came up, including when he underwent physical exams mandated by the U.S. Army, which prohibits tattoos of identified hate symbols.

“In the nearly 20 years since, this hasn’t come up,” Platner said. “I enlisted in the Army which involved a full physical that examines tattoos for hate symbols. I also passed a full background check to receive a security clearance to join the Ambassador to Afghanistan’s security detail.”

Platner’s statement that he would get the tattoo removed came after questions were raised, including from a former top campaign staffer, about how he could have been unaware of the tattoo’s connotations.

“Maybe he didn’t know it when he got it, but he got it years ago and he should have had it covered up because he knows damn well what it means,” Platner’s former political director, Genevieve McDonald, wrote on Facebook.

McDonald, a former Democratic state lawmaker, resigned from the campaign last week after revelations about Platner’s numerous controversial posts on Reddit.

Jewish Insider also reported on Tuesday that an acquaintance of Platner recalled him referring to the tattoo as “my Totenkopf,” though POLITICO has not independently verified the reporting.

“Totenkopf” is a German word typically referring to an image of a skull and crossbones. During the Nazi era, one form of the image was adopted by the Nazi police, leading to a lasting association with Nazism and continued use by white supremacists, according to the Anti-Defamation League. Platner’s campaign did not specifically answer whether he had ever used that term.

The tattoo revelation came after Platner apologized last week for a series of offensive Reddit posts, which he said came during a period in his life when he was disillusioned and disconnected from his community following his military service. Those include a 2013 post downplaying sexual assault in the military and a since-deleted 2018 post suggesting violence is necessary to enact social change. In a video last week, Platner, 41, said he regretted the comments and said they did not reflect the life he has now built.

Platner, previously a political unknown, has made a splash in Maine’s Senate race as several Democrats vie to take on Republican Sen. Susan Collins. His candidacy led some Senate Democrats to question whether Gov. Janet Mills should enter the race at all — although she did earlier this month.

One of Platner’s strongest supporters on the Hill was not wavering on him on Tuesday. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who rallied with Platner in Maine last month and has endorsed his campaign, defended the oysterman when asked about the tattoo on Tuesday.

“Look, I understand this whole platoon — I don’t know too much about it — got inebriated,” Sanders said. “He went through a dark period. He’s not the only one in America who has gone through a dark period. People go through that, he has apologized for the stupid remarks, the hurtful remarks that he made, and I’m confident that he’s going to run a great campaign and that he’s going to win.”

Mia McCarthy contributed to this report.

John E. Sununu jumps into New Hampshire Senate race

Republicans have recruited a Sununu to run for Senate in New Hampshire after all.

Former Sen. John E. Sununu said Wednesday that he is running to reclaim the seat he held for a single term before Democrat Jeanne Shaheen ousted him in 2008. Shaheen is retiring next year.

“Maybe you’re surprised to hear that I’m running for the Senate again. I’m a bit surprised myself. Why would anyone subject themselves to everything going on there right now?” Sununu said in a launch video posted online Wednesday morning. “Well, somebody has to step up and lower the temperature. Somebody has to get things done.”

The scion of a prominent GOP political dynasty, Sununu, 61, likely gives Republicans their best chance of flipping the seat after his brother, former Gov. Chris Sununu, rejected the party’s recruitment efforts for another cycle.

John E. Sununu brings access to his family’s fundraising machine and boasts close relationships with members of Senate GOP leadership, including Majority Leader John Thune. National and state Republicans consider him a strong candidate. Early polls put him ahead in the GOP primary and show him as the most competitive Republican against the Democratic front-runner, Rep. Chris Pappas.

Sununu has been in talks with the White House about his campaign and will soon meet with President Donald Trump about it, POLITICO first reported. Trump’s endorsement would be critical in the GOP primary, even though the state’s broader electorate thrice rejected him for president.

But Sununu’s path to securing Trump’s nod — and the GOP nomination — is not clear.

Sununu has long opposed Trump, serving as a national co-chair of former Ohio Gov. John Kasich’s 2016 presidential campaign and backing former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley for president in 2024. He penned an op-ed lambasting Trump as a “loser” ahead of New Hampshire’s presidential primary last year (Trump went on to win by 11 points). He later derided Trump’s 2020 election conspiracies as “completely inappropriate” through his position with the Democracy Defense Project, a bipartisan group focused on restoring public trust in election security.

And Sununu faces another former senator, Scott Brown, who represented Massachusetts before moving to New Hampshire and mounting an unsuccessful bid to unseat Shaheen in 2014. Brown was the president’s first-term ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa and is now seeking his own political comeback by positioning himself as the more Trump-aligned candidate in the race. Another GOP candidate, state Sen. Dan Innis, has already dropped his bid and backed Sununu. He’s called on Brown to do the same, but the former ambassador is battling on.

“Anyone who thinks that a never Trump, corporate lobbyist who hasn’t won an election in a quarter century will resonate with today’s GOP primary voters is living in a different universe,” Brown said in a statement.

Sununu, who is also the son of former Gov. and White House chief of staff John H. Sununu, served three terms in the House before defeating then-Gov. Shaheen to win his Senate seat in 2002.

He pledged in his launch video to focus on the economy and “making our lives more affordable.” He also called to “protect Medicare” and “really tackle our health care costs” as expiring Affordable Care Act subsidies take center stage in the government shutdown now spilling into a third week. WMUR was first to report on his official campaign launch.

Sununu starts with a polling advantage in the GOP primary. A University of New Hampshire survey from late September had him leading Brown 42 percent to 19 percent, with 28 percent undecided.

Early surveys also show him within striking distance of Pappas. The Democrat leads Sununu 49 percent to 43 percent in the UNH poll’s hypothetical general-election matchup; Pappas leads Brown by a wider margin of 52 percent to 37 percent. A survey from GOP-aligned co/efficient had Pappas leading Sununu by 3 percentage points and Brown by 10 points.

Sununu began publicly exploring a bid in September, after conversations with Thune and former Colorado Sen. Cory Gardner, then the chair of the GOP super PAC Senate Leadership Fund. Among those involved in his latest campaign is Paul Collins, a longtime adviser to the Sununu family.

Alex Latcham, Senate Leadership Fund’s executive director, said in a statement that Sununu’s candidacy “instantly expands the Senate map and puts the Granite State in play for Republicans.”

His candidacy has also generated instant excitement in the Granite State. A group of prominent New Hampshire GOP donors and business leaders — including Phil Taub, Joe Faro, Al Letizio Jr., Nick Vailas and Kelly Cohen — will host a fundraiser for Sununu in Bedford on Nov. 3, POLITICO has learned first.

Still, Sununu could face challenges in his attempted comeback. While his family’s brand remains strong in New Hampshire, Sununu largely faded from elective politics after his 2008 defeat, ceding the spotlight to his younger brother. His post-congressional work on corporate boards has drawn him early fire from his opponents on both sides of the aisle. The state Democratic Party already has a website attacking Sununu for “selling out to corporations.” Pappas hammered Sununu for “cashing in … working for special interests” in a statement Wednesday responding to his launch.

And his past opposition to Trump could prove difficult to reconcile with the MAGA base, even though it could win him support among independents who can pull ballots in the GOP primary.

Sununu downplayed Trump’s importance in the Senate race in a WMUR interview last month, saying the contest “is going to be about New Hampshire.”

But Brown is working to weaponize Sununu’s repeated rejections of the president, even as he faces his own MAGA image problem after saying in 2021 that Trump “bears responsibility” for the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
