WATCH: Megan Moroney Joins Tate McRae To Perform ‘6 Months Later’ In Nashville

Megan Moroney was the surprise guest at Tate McRae’s Nashville tour stop of her Miss Possessive Tour at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday (Sept. 11). McRae welcomed Moroney to the stage for a performance of Moroney’s current single, “6 Months Later.”

“I’m so excited to announce a special guest tonight. I’m such a massive fan. Give it up for Megan Moroney,” Tate shared from the stage. She was met with a huge round of cheers and applause.

It appears the artists celebrated together after the show, as Megan and Tate shared a photo together afterward.

This isn’t the first time Moroney and McRae have collaborated on stage. Moroney previously popped up at McRae’s Nashville concert in 2024 when she headlined Ascend Amphitheater. Last summer, they teamed up to perform Moroney’s breakout hit “Tennessee Orange.”

“Oh how I love her,” McRae gushed at the time.

Moroney previously opened up about her friendship with McRae, revealing that they had been “internet friends” for quite some time before their first performance together. At the time, she admitted she would love the chance to write with McRae, though as of 2024, that opportunity hadn’t happened yet. It’s unclear if that has since changed.

Moroney is still flying high after her big win at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, where her PLATINUM-certified No. 1 hit “Am I Okay?” took home the moon person for the first-ever Best Country category. She also had the chance to showcase her Emo Cowgirl energy with a performance of “6 Months Later” on the Extended Play Stage.

Just a day later, on Monday, Moroney was revealed as one of the top nominees for the upcoming 59th Annual CMA Awards, earning six nominations alongside fellow powerhouse artists Ella Langley and Lainey Wilson.

Next up, Moroney will return to the road on her sold-out Am I Okay? Tour. Next up, the superstar will perform at Credit One Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina, and Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. The trek runs through mid-October.

Jason Aldean Dedicates ‘Try That In A Small Town’ to Late Friend Charlie Kirk in Detroit

Jason Aldean paid tribute to his late friend Charlie Kirk during his Detroit concert on Thursday evening, dedicating his performance of “Try That In A Small Town” to the Conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder.

Taking the stage at the sold-out Pine Knob Music Theatre, Aldean paused the show to share a few words with the audience, explaining that he needed to take a moment to acknowledge what had happened the day before.

@biancakajy Thank you Jason for doing this. May #CharlieKirk ♬ original sound – bianca kajy

“I couldn’t get through tonight without addressing something that happened yesterday, as you guys well know,” Aldean began. “An amazing person by the name of Charlie Kirk was murdered yesterday in Utah. This was a guy that I knew for a few years, had a chance to meet him on quite a few occasions, talk to him, one of the best people ever. I mean, this is not the guy you go after is what I’m trying to say.”

The Georgia native went on to reflect on the current state of the USA, admitting, “it’s a weird country that we live in. When you start taking people out because you disagree with their opinions, that’s not what we’re about here.”

Before launching into his first-ever Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit, Aldean reflected on how Kirk had been one of the song’s earliest supporters, then dedicated that night’s performance to him..

“I remember when we put this song out, people like Charlie Kirk were some of the first ones to come up and go, ‘that’s what it’s about, this country coming together, calling out the bullsh** when we see it, trying to get everything back on track.’ This guy wanted nothing more than what was best for all of us and our kids and everything moving forward,” he continued. “Charlie’s a guy that’s going to be very, very much missed, and this is something that his legacy is going to live on forever with Turning Point and what he’s done with only 31 years on this planet. It’s amazing. So just a really tragic loss for everybody. I know you guys have been feeling it as well, so tonight, since he was one of the ones that stuck out for the song, let’s play this one for Charlie.”

Loud U-S-A chants ran throughout the crowd and people began to sing along as Aldean performed the song.

According to videos posted to TikTok, before Aldean’s set began, the big screens lit up with a “Rest in Peace” tribute photo of Kirk, as well as a “Never Forget” message in honor of the 24th anniversary of 9/11. As these messages were displayed, Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” played throughout the arena.

Lainey Wilson and Leanne Morgan Face Off in Hilarious Britney Spears Challenge on ‘Celebrity Family Feud’

Lainey Wilson, her fiancé Devlin “Duck” Hodges, and other members of her family faced off against actress and comedian Leanne Morgan and her family on the latest episode of Celebrity Family Feud.

The teams delivered hilarious answers throughout the game, but Wilson stole the spotlight during a memorable moment when she was asked to “name a Britney Spears song that describes you in the bedroom.”

Wilson and Morgan stood at the podium, ready to give their answers. Wilson hit the buzzer first and quickly replied, “hit me baby one more time,” referencing Spears’ 1998 breakout hit, “…Baby One More Time.”

Wilson and Morgan burst into laughter while host Steve Harvey appeared stunned by the risqué response. The camera quickly cut to Wilson’s fiancé, Duck, who grinned as he looked at her.

Her answer landed on the board, securing a play for her team.

The hilarity continued when Duck was asked to give an answer.

“Oh God, Duck. If you name this song right here, your boys, they going to be laughing so hard,” host Steve Harvey joked. “Duck. Give me a Brittany Spears song that describes you in the bedroom.”

His response had everyone laughing.

“Shake it,” he said.

“Is that a Britney Spears song?” Harvey questioned, while Duck admitted, “I don’t think it’s a song.”

That answer, of course, did not appear on the board, nor did her mother’s response, “Bump It.” Her sister earned the team another spot with “Circus,” as did her brother-in-law’s answer, “Slave,” referencing Spears’ “I’m a Slave 4 U.”

Wilson had one more chance and guessed “Lucky,” which was a solid choice, though it also did not make the board.

Morgan followed with “Oops!…I Did It Again,” which turned out to be the number one answer.

Lainey Wilson is currently in the middle of her biggest tour yet, her headlining Whirlwind Tour. Earlier this week, she was revealed to be one of the top nominees for the upcoming 59th Annual CMA Awards alongside Ella Langley and Megan Moroney.

Wilson is nominated for six awards, including the night’s top honor of Entertainer of the Year.

Luke Bryan Brings New Life to Dan Seals’ Classic Hit, ‘Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)’

Luke Bryan lends his voice to a new rendition of Dan Seals’ 1986 chart-topper, “Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold),” which serves as the lead release from a new duets project spearheaded by record label Melody Place.

“Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)” was co-written by Seals and Bob McDill and appears on his album, Won’t Be Blue Anymore. The song is about looking back on a past love who became famous in the rodeo world, while the narrator’s life stayed smaller and quieter, raising a child and playing smaller shows. He remembers his ex in rhinestones and sequins, loved by the crowd. The line “everything that glitters is not gold” really sums up the feeling that fame and spotlight don’t always mean happiness or what you hoped for.

Bryan, a longtime fan of Seals, was thrilled to add his voice to the iconic song, which arrives 16 years after Seals’ untimely passing.

“When I think of all time iconic songs, this one definitely comes top of mind,” Bryan shared. “Dan was an artist I had on repeat and actually still do. I sang this song when I was back in Georgia and now to be here and paired with him on this new release is just unbelievable.”

Click below to listen to the just-released track.

Dan Seals first rose to fame as one half of the pop-rock duo England Dan & John Ford Coley, then moved to Nashville and built a hugely successful solo country career with nine straight, and 11 total, No. 1 hits. He became one of the most successful artists to cross over into country, thanks in large part to his gift for telling stories about rural America in a way that resonated with a wide audience.

Dan Seals was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma in 2007, and he faced his final days with the same grace he brought to his music. He passed away on March 25, 2009, at 8:30 p.m.—“Showtime,” as his manager put it.

Additional details surrounding the new duets project will be revealed soon.

Jake Owen Explores Old-School Country Sounds on New Album ‘Dreams to Dream’

Jake Owen moved to Nashville in 2005 and quickly made a name for himself with hits like “Yee Haw,” “Eight Second Ride,” and “Barefoot Blue Jean Night.” Over the years, he’s scored 10 chart-topping singles, but the man he is today is very different from the guy who first arrived in Music City 20 years ago. Now 44 and a father of two, Owen has lived a lot of life, and it shows in his music. With his new album, Dreams to Dream, he’s done chasing trends or radio hits: he’s focused on making the kind of songs that truly make him happy.

“Sometimes you need to get outside what’s comfortable, what people think you are, or think you should be, and take a risk,” he says.

Jake Owen’s upcoming album, Dreams to Dream, arrives November 7 and perfectly captures his new creative mindset. The project is co-produced by Owen and Shooter Jennings and was recorded at Snake Mountain (Sunset Sound Studio 3) in Los Angeles.

The album features collaborations with Jamey Johnson on “The Jukebox Knows” and Savannah Conley on “Them Old Love Songs.” Writing credits also feature Owen’s longtime friends and acclaimed songwriters Ben Chapman and Kendell Marvel, making this a deeply personal project that blends Owen’s signature sound with his evolved perspective.

Alongside the album announcement, Owen has released “Long Time Lovin’ You,” following the earlier releases of the title track, Dreams to Dream, and a striking studio reimagining of Waylon Jennings’ classic “Them Old Love Songs,” recorded with Shooter Jennings.

Of “Long Time Lovin’ You,” Owen shared, “My mom loves those types of songs where my voice is very soft and kind of pleasant on the ear.”

The upcoming album is described as “Owen’s long-awaited foray into old-school country,” a sound he knows well from growing up in Florida, singing Hank Williams Jr. and Merle Haggard covers on back porches for friends and family. The album leans into Owen’s love of storytelling, capturing real-life tales of heartbreak, struggle, and resilience.

“It really feels cathartic to be honest about a lot of stuff in my life — how I feel, where I see myself going, and how I see myself going there,” he says. “Where I feel most comfortable is grabbing my guitar and singing a song that fits my voice really smoothly. I feel like it’s more honest.”

Owen adds, “I’ve just become a guy that wants to sing songs for people that have also matured with me in my life.”

Before the album drops, Owen will join Darius Rucker for five UK shows running September 29 through October 5. Later in October, he’ll hit the road with Dirty Heads for a short Florida run from October 23-26, then close out the year with his annual Flamingo Weekend, benefiting The Jake Owen Foundation.
