Kate Gosselin wishes everyone would just be nicer to her.
We’ve heard the infamous former reality star blame her divorce for money woes, even as others accuse her of numerous wrongdoings — including financial.
From the sound of things, she admits that their infamous split could have been “calmer.”
Kate also seems to be implying that Jon was the one who wasn’t “willing to play nice.”

On Wednesday, August 27, the notorious reality TV villain took to TikTok Live to answer a fan question — yes, in this sick world, she has fans — about advice for getting through a divorce.
“I made decisions based on how I would want to be treated, honestly,” Kate boldly claimed.
“And I didn’t buy into all the drama and the hate and the ugly.”
“And I had kids involved, so I wanted it to be as peaceful for them as I possibly could …” Kate had the gall to allege. It seems that the peace did not include Collin.
“A lot of things happened that I could not control that did not turn out well for my kids,” she stated, before astonishingly claiming: “But I did my best.”
Kate added: “We just got through it to the best of our ability.”
‘It could have been a lot calmer’
“I did not hire an attorney that wanted to stir up trouble,” Kate Gosselin insisted.
“I just wanted it to be peaceful,” she alleged, “and I wanted the best for my kids.”
Seemingly directing criticism at her ex-husband, Kate added: “it could have been a lot calmer and a lot nicer if everybody was willing to play nice.”
Under normal circumstances, we would simply discuss how the most amicable of divorces can turn bitter.
Two of the biggest issues for divorce can be financial disagreements and child custody.
For the Gosselin family, those topics were closely interwoven thanks to reality television.
However, we cannot pretend that Jon and Kate’s divorce was simply a matter of two adults disagreeing.
This was a consequential split, leaving Jon initially helpless to free his institutionalized son, Collin.
No one — including the man himself — is claiming that Jon Gosselin was or is a perfect parent.
Obviously, he failed his children in various ways.
First and foremost, by marrying and having children with Kate, he condemned all eight children to have her for a mother. That is a fate that many would not wish upon their worst enemies.
Now, the entire family has to deal with the ongoing fallout — from the marriage, from reality television, and from the divorce.

Kate followed that up with a second post in which she penned a lengthy tribute to her late boyfriend.
“It breaks my heart that I can’t hand you a physical birthday card today. That I can’t hear your laugh, or tell you all the things I wish I’d said a thousand more times,” Cassidy wrote.
“I’ve been struggling to find the right words, but I’ll start with the most obvious, happy birthday. Today, you would have been 32,” she continued, adding:
“In your 31 years here on this earth you brought so much joy, happiness and hope to so many- especially to me. I hope you know how brightly you still shine, even from up there.”
From there, Katie stated that she would happily trade years of her owbn life in order to give Liam more time on earth.
“I would give up years of my life just to give you a few more. I miss making memories with you. I miss having things to look forward to together. But today, my birthday gift to you is my strength,” she wrote.
“I promise you I will celebrate you extra today, honor your life, and cherish the beautiful times we’ve had. August 29th will be a date that sits in my heart for the rest of my life. I love you so much.”
Kate and Liam dated for three years prior to his death.
She has paid tribute to Payne several times in the ten months since his passing, and fans have applauded her willingness to share her grief.

On July 2, Sophia Hutchins was driving an ATV near the Malibu home of Caitlyn Jenner.
While driving, she reportedly crashed into the bumper of a moving vehicle.
The ATV, while possibly veering away from the other vehicle, ended up going over the shoulder of the road.
The ATV, with Sophia inside, fell 350 feet down into the ravine. It was a fatal crash. She was only 29 years old.
Caitlyn and Sophia became close in 2017. Sophia even moved in with the reality TV personality and also became her manager.
In addition to sharing a similar sense of humor, both are transgender women whose political sensibilities set them apart.
Where much of the trans community’s political leanings involve human rights, particularly for the LGBTQ+ community, Cait and Sophia both publicly distanced themselves from any fight for equality.
Despite the age difference between the 75-year-old and the 29-year-old, romance rumors erupted. However, both women made it clear that their friendship was strictly platonic.

For over a month now, we’ve been hearing reports that Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson are dating.
The story goes that they met on the set of The Naked Gun (a sequel to the 1988 Leslie Nielsen comedy of the same name) and immediately hit it off.
The costars seemed to corroborate those claims with their affectionate behavior at premieres and other promotional events.
But now, there’s reason to believe that it was all for show.

The convenient timing of that news prompted speculation that the two had never dated at all, and their red carpet canoodling was all for show.
Now, TMZ has seemingly confirmed that news with a report claiming that “the whole ‘Pam + Liam’ love fest was cooked up by their PR teams and Paramount.”
The report also claimed that Pamela and Liam never ate dinner together without their assitants present, and they “didn’t even see each other from the time cameras stopped rolling in June 2024 until the press tour launched more than a year later, in July 2025.”
Insider claims Pam and Liam relationship is legit, ongoing
However, an insider denies both the fake relationship reports and the breakup reports, insisting that Pam and Liam are still “smitten with each other.”
“Everything between them has been genuine. Neither would ever take part in a publicity stunt. They have a great time. Neither of them needs the publicity,” a source close to the film tells People, adding:
“Their relationship isn’t just for show. They have a real connection. There’s no incentive for either of them to stage something like this.
“It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other,” the source said at that time, noting that the pair were “enjoying each other’s company.”
Neither Pam nor Liam has spoken publicly about the allegation that they faked their relationship.
But it’s worth noting that they also never confirmed or denied that they were dating.
“I think I have a friend forever in Liam,” Pam rather diplomatically told Entertainment Weekly in July.
“We definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving. He’s a good guy.”

Shortly thereafter, the couple revealed that Elsie is pregnant with their first child.
“Welp now everyone knows we had sex,” Elsie captioned an Instagram carousel that included a photo of an ultrasound and several pics of her and Pete.
Fans applauded her candid announcement and speculated that her sense of humor would make her the perfect parenting partner for Pete.
Now, the happy couple is sharing their joy once again, this time while enjoying some time off together.

“I’m mostly just excited. I don’t have time to think about myself as much anymore, or be in my head. I just realized this is kind of just a job, and now I have something to do it for.”

President Donald Trump discontinued former Vice President Kamala Harris’ Secret Service protection on Thursday, according to a memo reviewed by POLITICO.
In a memo titled “Memorandum for the Secretary of Homeland Security,” and dated Aug. 28, Trump directed the Secret Service to revoke Harris’ security protections, effective Sept. 1.
“You are hereby authorized to discontinue any security-related procedures previously authorized by Executive Memorandum, beyond those required by law, for the following individual effective September 1, 2025: Former Vice President Kamala D. Harris,” the memo read.
The move, first disclosed by CNN, comes as Harris is set to embark on a 15-city tour to promote her new book, “107 Days,” starting next month. The tour will place the former vice president — who has remained largely out of the public eye since leaving office in January — back in the spotlight.
“The Vice President is grateful to the United States Secret Service for their professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to safety,” Harris spokesperson Kirsten Allen said in a statement.
Former President Joe Biden had initially extended Harris’ Secret Service protection — which had been set to last until only mid-July — for an additional year, according to a person familiar with the move who was granted anonymity to discuss security arrangements. While presidents receive lifelong protection after leaving office, coverage for vice presidents typically lasts only six months after they leave office.
A White House spokesperson confirmed protection has been revoked but did not comment further.
Trump similarly ended extended security protections for Hunter Biden and his half-sister Ashley Biden earlier this year.

Barack Obama called Texas state Rep. James Talarico last week to express support for his leadership in the state’s redistricting battle, according to two people familiar with the call.
The former president specifically praised Talarico as an effective spokesperson for showing up on different media and platforms, including his recent interview with Joe Rogan — which Obama told him requires risk and authenticity.
Obama’s call to Talarico comes as the Texas Democrat weighs entry into the state’s Senate race, which would pit him against former Rep. Colin Allred in a Democratic primary. The recent call between the two was not Obama signaling a preference in such a primary, the sources familiar said, and the two did not discuss a potential Senate run.
The call also comes as Obama has reengaged in the political moment in ways broadly uncommon for a former Oval Office occupant in response to President Donald Trump’s actions during his second term.
In private, he’s holding calls with the party’s rising stars. Earlier this summer, Obama called Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic candidate for mayor in New York City, where the former president “offered him advice about governing and discussed the importance of giving people hope in a dark time,” The New York Times reported.
In public, he’s rallying Democrats in a number of ways. He’s actively encouraging Democrats to fight the GOP’s Trump-inspired mid-cycle gerrymandering efforts — “an existential threat to our democracy,” Obama said in a video he posted Thursday. This week he trumpeted the party’s upset victory in a special election for a seat in the Iowa state Senate. “When we are organized and support strong candidates who are focused on the issues that matter, we can win. Let’s keep this going,” he said.
He’s endorsed, via X, Wednesday’s edition of Ezra Klein’s New York Times show. In that episode, the host shared his concern that Trump is “creating crisis and disorder so he can build what he has wanted to build: an authoritarian state, a military or a paramilitary that answers only to him — that puts him in total control.”
It all amounts to something of an escalation for Obama. In April, he spoke about the importance of the “rules-based” order and criticized the Trump administration’s crackdown on Big Law. In June, he shared his concern that America was fast approaching a “situation in which all of us are going to be tested in some way, and we are going to have to then decide what our commitments are.”
Perhaps now that test has arrived.
It comes at a moment when the Democratic Party is largely rudderless at the national level, seemingly adrift. In that vacuum — no clear leader, no clear vision, no identifiable cause at the moment aside from stopping Trump — Obama may be the party’s most unifying figure.
