DC Young Fly Calls Out Rick Ross For Leaving Black Podcast For White One

DC Young Fly called out Rick Ross for ghosting an interview on the 85 South Show and then giving an in-depth sit-down to a white-owned podcast, reigniting a years-old moment that never quite sat right with him.

The tension dates back to 2021, when Ross abruptly walked off the set mid-interview during a taping of the 85 South Show, hosted by DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller and Chico Bean. No explanation. No heads-up. Just gone.

But what really got under DC’s skin? Ross later gave what DC described as a “respectful and full” interview on another podcast—one not Black-owned—where he even addressed topics the 85 South crew didn’t touch, like his past as a correctional officer.

Speaking on the “Rory and Mal” podcast, DC explained his resentment. “It’s the fact that you left our show and went and did a white podcast and did a full-blown interview,” he said. “And they asked you the questions that we didn’t even ask you.”

Ross tried to brush it off on Instagram, saying he showed up to the 85 South Show “to show love” and left because of “urgent matters.”

He joked about wasting a Gucci jacket on the shoot and not having lemon pepper wings from Wingstop, the chain he’s famously affiliated with.

DC Young Fly Responds To Rick Ross

Nonetheless, DC wasn’t buying it.

He responded on Instagram, pointing out that every guest, including the likes of Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, T.I. and Boosie, has appeared on the show for free.

“U kno it’s all love but nobody gets paid cause the culture bigger than the money!!!!” he wrote on Instagram. “The impact we make last a LIFE TIME!!! Our doors is always open OG.”

He also clapped back at Ross’s food complaint, saying there were “200 lemon pepper wings in the back” and even joked about buying the rapper’s “wasted” Gucci jacket for his son.

DC made it clear there’s no beef, just a matter of respect. “If you got somewhere to go, just let us know how much time you got so we can get the best out of it,” he said. “Don’t just leave.”

Wu-Tang Clan Close Out Final Tour With Star-Studded Farewell In Philadelphia

Wu-Tang Clan brought their legendary run to a close with a sold-out finale in Philadelphia on Friday (July 18), wrapping their last-ever tour, Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber, with a night packed with nostalgia and surprise guests.

All nine surviving core members — RZA, GZA, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa and Cappadonna — hit the Wells Fargo Center stage, joined by Young Dirty Bastard, who honored his late father, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, with a high-energy tribute.

The Philadelphia stop capped a 27-city North American run that began June 6 and marked the final time the whole group would tour together.

The crowd got more than they bargained for when surprise guests Ms. Lauryn Hill, LL Cool J and hometown hero Freeway popped up to celebrate the moment.

The setlist pulled from Wu-Tang’s deep catalog, with anthems like “C.R.E.A.M.,” “Triumph,” “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” and “Ice Cream” igniting the crowd.

Run the Jewels opened each night of the tour, setting the tone with their own hard-hitting set.

Just two days earlier, Wu-Tang played their final New York City show at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday (July 16), where they were joined by Redman, Lil Kim, The LOX, Mobb Deep, Slick Rick, SWV and more — a nod to their deep roots in New York Hip-Hop.

Throughout the tour, RZA and other members reminded audiences that this would be the group’s final full-scale tour and thanked supporters for riding with them for more than 30 years.

Though this marks the end of the road for Wu-Tang Clan’s touring days as a whole unit, they hinted at what’s next: a possible Las Vegas residency, a documentary and memoirs are all in the works.

Wu-Tang Clan’s final tour performance took place Friday (July 18) in Philadelphia.

Ray J Calls Himself An Embarrassment, Says He No Longer Talks To Brandy

Ray J opened up about his fractured relationship with his sister, Brandy Norwood, and said he feels like a disappointment to his family during a revealing appearance on the “Drop the Lo” podcast, hosted by Evelyn Lozada and her daughter, Shaniece Hairston.

The singer and entrepreneur opened up when asked about his current standing with his sister, saying, “I love my sister. But I’m an embarrassment… to them.”

He confirmed they’re not on speaking terms and pointed to long-standing family tensions and a lingering sense of not fitting in.

When asked directly if he felt accepted by his family, Ray J responded, “I never wanted to be accepted. I just feel like I’m an embarrassment.”

Despite the silence between them, he said his children still have a strong bond with Brandy and her daughter.

Ray J also expressed frustration with how he feels boxed in by his family’s expectations.

“You want me to be something else, but I’m superseding everything y’all doing,” he declared, pushing back at the idea that he should change who he is to gain approval.

The comments sparked a wave of reactions online, with some calling out Ray J’s tone and others sympathizing with the family drama.

One user wrote, “The arrogance is wild… He will NEVER have the type of positive and constructive impact that Brandy has had on anything.”

Another added, “Mind you he’s 44 still acting 24.” A third chimed in, “Ray J is the perfect example of parents loving the son and raising the daughter.”

Travis Scott Goes Left: What Went Wrong With “Jackboys 2”?

Following Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy, anticipation for Travis Scott’s Jackboys 2 began building through leaked audio and live performance previews. Still, for some reason, I wasn’t particularly excited. Before diving in, I revisited the original Jackboys from 2019. It was a decent group effort with a unified sound and minimal outside features. It came and went, but it sounded better than what this sequel turned out to be.

Jackboys 2 feels less like a collective showcase and more like a Travis Scott and Don Toliver project, with scattered contributions from Sheck Wes and SoFaygo. Eh. While Don continues to receive proper spotlight, the others are left in the background. They show up on tracks that feel more like filler than highlights. Travis seems to be emulating the success of rap groups like A$AP Mob or Watch the Throne. But he never allows other members to shine.

The album’s features were hit or miss. GloRilla and Future felt natural, but appearances from Tyla and Vybz Kartel seemed misplaced. Overall, there’s a lack of cohesion and no clear identity or theme. I kept trying to figure out what Jackboys 2 was supposed to be, but it’s just 55 minutes of empty, formulaic music. This could’ve been a breakout moment for lesser-known Cactus Jack members, but instead, it reinforced the same hierarchy: Travis and Don at the top. The rest are fighting for scraps. The project lacks purpose and vision. It doesn’t even attempt to answer the question: What are the Jackboys, and what do they represent?

That said, there were some enjoyable moments. “CHAMPAIN AND VACAY” had potential, though Waka Flocka’s shouting felt more distracting than hype-inducing. “NO COMMENTS” offered a solid blend of synth-heavy production and Toliver’s melodic flow. Travis’s diss aimed at Pusha T on “CHAMPAIN AND VACAY,” however, fell completely flat. Pusha has taken massive shots in the past. The past? That would be the year 2025. Other highlights include “2000 EXCURSION” and 21 Savage’s feature on “KICK OUT,” both of which brought energy and solid production.

But moments like these weren’t enough to carry the album.

Since Astroworld, a certified classic, Travis Scott has felt creatively stagnant, opting for safe, formulaic tracks over experimentation. At this point in his career, he could be pushing boundaries, but Jackboys 2 proves he’d rather play it safe.

It didn’t impress me, but it didn’t surprise me either. Travis knows his lane and rarely leaves it. While I won’t be revisiting the full project, a couple of songs might make it to my playlist.

Alabama Barker Flees Livestream After Bhad Bhabie Showdown Threat

Alabama Barker bailed on Plaqueboy Max’s livestream dating show on Tuesday (May 14) after hearing that her longtime rival, Bhad Bhabie, might show up, sparking a tense phone call and an even messier aftermath on social media.

“So y’all got Bhad Bhabie pulling up?” Barker asked Max during a call that quickly spiraled.

“F### no! What the f###!” Max replied.

“I’m leaving. I’m getting in my car. That’s what I was just told by production. If y’all snaked me out like that…” Barker responded.

Max doubled down, saying, “She’s not here.”

But Barker wasn’t convinced. “I’m literally getting in my car,” she said, her voice cracking.

Alabama Barker Wants To Fight Bhad Bhabie One OnOne

Barker later posted a video to explain her side, claiming a member of the show’s security team told her Bhad Bhabie was on the way and that the whole thing was “all just to embarrass me on live.”

“I don’t want to fight nobody,” she said, explaining she didn’t want to be dragged online for fighting someone battling cancer.

Still, she made it clear she wasn’t backing down. “We’re gonna fight one on one, when I see you,” Barker said, adding she wasn’t scared of Bhad Bhabie.

A post shared by Watch Live Bitez (@livebitez)

The beef between the two dates back to December 2024, when Bhad Bhabie accused Barker of trying to steal her then-boyfriend Le Vaughn, who is also the father of her child. Both women aired their grievances on Instagram before deleting the posts.

Bhad Bhabie later dropped a diss track titled “Over Cooked,” throwing shade at Barker’s alleged ties to other celebrities. Barker clapped back with her own track, “Cry Bhabie,” and the feud has been simmering ever since.

Le Vaughn’s name has come up repeatedly, with both women accusing him of playing them against each other. Barker has denied any romantic involvement with him, saying he misled them both.

Mo3 Trial Date Set In Alleged Murder-For-Hire Plot Involving Yella Beezy

Mo3 will finally get his day in court nearly five years after he was gunned down on a Dallas freeway in an alleged murder-for-hire scheme that prosecutors say was orchestrated by fellow rapper Yella Beezy.

A trial date for one of the men charged in connection with the killing has been scheduled for early November in Dallas County.

Devin Maurice Brown, one of the accused in the case, is set to face a jury trial. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for October 9, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Brown’s trial is the first to move forward in the high-profile case, which centers on the November 11, 2020, ambush-style killing of Mo3, whose legal name was Melvin Noble.

Yella Beezy Accused Of Orchestrating Mo3 Murder

Prosecutors allege that Markies Deandre Conway, known professionally as Yella Beezy, paid to have Mo3 killed and hired Kewon Dontrell White to carry out the hit.

The indictment claims Yella Beezy arranged the murder-for-hire plot that ended with Mo3 being chased down and shot multiple times on Interstate 35E near the Dallas Zoo.

Prosecutors say surveillance footage shows White, wearing a ski mask and armed, approaching Mo3’s vehicle before the rapper attempted to flee on foot.

He was shot in the back and died at the scene. A bystander was also wounded but survived.

White was arrested in December 2020 and is currently serving a nine-year sentence on firearm charges connected to the case. He has also been formally charged with murder.

Yella Beezy was indicted in March 2025 on capital murder charges for remuneration. His bond, initially set at $2 million, was later reduced to $750,000. He was released under strict conditions, including house arrest and electronic monitoring.

Prosecutors say they have both video evidence and witness statements connecting Yella Beezy and the other defendants to the planning and execution of the killing. If convicted, they could face life in prison or the death penalty under Texas law.

Mo3, who was 28 at the time of his death, had built a loyal following with tracks like “Broken Love” and “Errybody.” His murder drew national attention and reignited conversations about violence in the Hip-Hop community.

Donald Trump Threatens Commanders—Demands Return To “Redskins”

Donald Trump reignited the name-change debate with threats. He warned the Washington Commanders may lose a crucial stadium deal unless they go back to their former identity as the Redskins.

WHAT? BACK TO THIS?

On Truth Social – the fake Twitter -the president said he would consider blocking the Commanders’ efforts to build a new stadium if they did not change the name back to the Redskins. Petty much? The franchise dropped the name in the midst of controversy in 2020.

Donald Trump: News, Rumors & More

“My statement on the Washington Redskins has totally blown up, but only in a very positive way,” Trump posted. “I may put a restriction on them that if they don’t change the name back to the original ‘Washington Redskins,’ and get rid of the ridiculous moniker, ‘Washington Commanders,’ I won’t make a deal for them to build a Stadium in Washington. The Team would be much more valuable, and the Deal would be more exciting for everyone.”

Since when did president deal in this way? Did Obama ever try to get…

Or…you know what? Let me keep it moving.

This is important to him. He calls it a return to “heritage and prestige” of Native American references in professional sports. Huh? He also targeted Major League Baseball’s Cleveland Guardians — formerly the Indians. He said that rebrand cost owner Matt Dolan politically.

“What he doesn’t understand is that if he changed the name back to the Cleveland Indians, he might actually win an Election,” Trump wrote. “Indians are being treated very unfairly. MAKE INDIANS GREAT AGAIN (MIGA)!” MIGA, PLEASE!

Guardians President Chris Antonetti pushed back gently. LOL! On Cleveland.com, he said, “Obviously it’s a decision we’ve made and we’ve gotten the opportunity to build the brand as the Guardians over the last four years and are excited about the future.” (By the way, I had no clue that the Indians’s name had changed.

Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris, said that there are “no plans” to bring back the Redskins name. He, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser announced a proposed return to the RFK Stadium site. Now, they have to face The Donald. Some of them are alleged Trumpers!

Trump’s position has political support. Sen. Steve Daines, a Republican from Montana…wait, why is Montana in this…WEIRD. Daines previously stated he would back the Commanders’ stadium efforts if they brought back the original logo. Daines maintained the change was erasure of Native American heritage, especially a Blackfeet chief.

“This is honoring a Blackfeet chief who was born in Montana. He is highly esteemed,” Daines said. “The irony that they were canceling Native American culture as the DEI movement went way too far.”

There is some community support too. About 100,000 people have signed a petition to take the name back.

The Commanders are not hearing the commander-in-chief.

Trump is playing political with football teams, but they are not punting.
