Muni Long Releases New Single ‘Richest’
Two-time Grammy winner Muni Long has released her new single “Richest,” out now via Def Jam Recordings. The song, released yesterday, marks her first solo release of the year and follows a run that has included Grammy recognition, a Coachella debut, and the continued reach of her 2024 album Revenge.
“Richest” centers on a new relationship while looking back at the emotional effects of a previous one. In a statement, Long said, “Over the last year, I learned wealth looks different than I thought,” adding that she wanted to share what she gained after she “stopped measuring” her life by what she lost. The release frames the idea of richness through stability, love, and personal recovery rather than money.

The single follows “Delulu,” which Long released in 2025, and extends the period surrounding Revenge, her 2024 album. That project included the multiplatinum single “Made for Me,” one of the songs that helped bring Long back to the center of contemporary R&B. The Associated Press described Revenge as a record rooted in “frank, raw emotion and relatable scenarios,” while Billboard connected Long to R&B’s recent mainstream resurgence.
At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Long won Best R&B Performance for “Made for Me (Live on BET)” and received four nominations across R&B categories. In 2023, she won Best R&B Performance for “Hrs & Hrs,” the single that brought her one of the defining moments of her solo career. In April 2025, Long made her Coachella debut, with ELLE later highlighting her performance as among the festival’s best.

This spring, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star Jenny Slatten revealed her ALS diagnosis.
She famously moved to India to be with Sumit, who is now her much younger husband.
This week, they took to social media to update fans and followers, including those who have donated.
How is she doing? What’s their plan for what comes next?
She knows how her ALS is likely to progress
At the end of 2025, Jenny received her amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis.
She and her husband, Sumit Singh, revealed the news in May — addressing rumors about her health.
On Monday, June 22, Jenny and Sumit provided an Instagram update on her ALS journey, her treatment, and more.
“A lot of people sent us a lot of wishes, love and suggestions [about medical care],” Sumit acknowledged. “So thank you so much for your love and support, it means a lot to us.”
Jenny chimed in: “And people have been booking Cameos with us!”
Cameo allows public figures to create miniature shout-out videos for pay. It can be very lucrative if someone is willing to commit to generating good videos — and if there is sufficient demand.
Sumit also thanked fans for donating to the couple’s GoFundMe, which launched in May.
He expressed that they feel “very happy to see that much love [shown] for us.”
As of Tuesday, June 23, they have already raised over $60,000 of their $250,000 goal.
They explained that they had raised their goal this high after speaking to doctors, who warned of the realities of ALS.
How is Jenny doing?
“As you can hear, my voice is completely different,” Jenny acknowledged during Monday’s video.
“My speech is very slow now,” she added. “I’m still walking, but I get very tired.”
Jenny continued: “I’m gonna keep walking, but [I’ll get] a wheelchair probably soon.”
Sumit furnished that his beloved wife is “almost very much dependent on herself.”
“I’m trying my best,” Jenny affirmed.
As fans know, Jenny and Sumit first told their story on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, following Jenny’s move to India to be with the much younger man.
Unfortunately, this has left her in a bit of a bind.
Jenny does not have health insurance in India. And she is not, at present, have the paperwork to return to the US for long-term care.
She and Sumit would only do so if they knew, for sure, that she could get better results in the US than in India.
We will keep these two in our thoughts.

A new enhanced music video takes viewers behind the scenes of Ne-Yo’s breakthrough hit. “So Sick,” the chart-topping smash from the singer-songwriter’s 2006 debut album In My Own Words, is the latest classic music video to get the Vevo Footnotes treatment. In the newly released segment, Ne-Yo describes being inspired by the music as soon as he heard it, his inspiration for the lyrics, and the song’s legacy.
In the Footnotes video, Ne-Yo describes his first encounter with the production duo Stargate, “two of the most talented, six-foot-tall Norwegians you’ll ever meet.” The moment he heard the beat that would become “So Sick,” he was entranced. Before the Stargate guys could even fix their coffee, he was ready to sing them the first verse and hook, written on the spot. “They’re both very mild-mannered gentlemen, but the second I got to ‘I’m so sick of love songs,’ they both jumped up,” he remembers.

Ne-Yo explains that the song is about the first time he felt like he was truly in love. “I was around 15 or 16,” he remembers. “I was the only one in my group with a girlfriend, so suddenly she became the enemy. Instead of playing basketball or video games with them, I was with her. It turned into, ‘Is your girlfriend gonna let you come over?’ And I let it bruise my ego. I started treating her badly, and she left. That’s when it hit me: I really loved this girl. For a long time, if the radio was on, it was some sad, slow love song that kept her memory right there. I hated it, but I wouldn’t turn it off, because it reminded me of her.”
Ne-Yo remembers being certain “So Sick” would be huge, and he was right. The song became his first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and fueled the success of In My Own Words, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Ne-Yo recently released two vinyl reissues of the album to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Two decades later, he sees the song as a counterbalance to the hip-hop bravado that had taken hold in R&B at the time: “I think when that song came out, it was a reminder that we can still sing, still do melodies, still mean something. I think it’s a reminder to this day: It’s okay to be vulnerable.”

With Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce fast approaching, it seems that the pop icon has not repaired one of her most infamous friendships.
Yes, despite reports that the two had buried the hatchet, it seems that Blake Lively still has not been invited to Taylor’s wedding.
Earlier reports indicated that Taylor had snubbed two of her former friends — Blake and model Karlie Kloss.
But now, Page Six is reporting that Karlie has received an invite, while Blake and husband Ryan Reynolds are still left out in the cold.
“There hasn’t been an olive branch when it comes to their friendship,” one insider tells Page Six. “And Taylor hasn’t extended a wedding invitation to Blake.”
The falling out between Blake and Taylor began as a result of Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.
In his countersuit, Baldoni alleged that Blake used her friendship with Taylor as leverage to gain power over him while the two co-starred the 2024 film It Ends With Us.
The legal battle dragged on for months, and insiders say Taylor deeply resented being dragged into the drama.
One insider claimed that Taylor was “taking a break from their friendship right now,” adding:
“Taylor is really hurt by this whole situation and feels like a pawn.”
Another stated that “Taylor wants nothing to do with this whole ordeal. She has always been a loyal friend to Blake and doesn’t appreciate being thrown into this at all.”
But once a settlement had been reached, there were reports that Blake and Taylor had decided to try and revive their longstanding friendship.
Back in May, a source claimed that “everyone around Taylor is aware that Blake could attend” the ceremony, while another claimed that Lively was “slowly getting back into the fold.”
However, it seems that Taylor and Blake just weren’t able to settle their differences in time for Swift to feel comfortable inviting Lively to the wedding of the year.
Taylor and Travis have tried to keep a lid on the details of their wedding, but insiders say the reception will take place at Madison Square Garden on July 3.
It’s even been rumored that Swift and Kelce are already legally married, which is a common practice among celebs and other wealthy folks who want to tie the knot in one state but host a big, lavish ceremony in another.
Whatever the case, it seems that Blake will not be in attendance on Taylor’s big day. It’s yet another setback in what’s been a very rocky year for the actress.
Once again, It Ends With Us is proving itself to be the most ironically titled movie in Hollywood history.
