Why Fans Think Bunnie Xo Has Been Quietly Hinting At Trouble In Her Marriage To Jelly Roll For Weeks

Jelly Roll and his wife of nearly 10 years, Bunnie Xo, are going through a divorce, according to reports from TMZ. While this news might be shocking to some fans, others picked up on subtle hints that the Dumb Blonde Podcast host has been dropping on social media for several weeks now.

The outlet reports that the country star filed for divorce in Tennessee in May, citing court records obtained by the publication. That same month is when Bunnie’s cryptic posts began circulating.

First, she started by reposting statements from other creators that suggested something was going on in her personal life, as they clearly expressed hurt and anger.

She reshared quotes like, “Women’s intuition when that shiii don’t add up” and “When that ego wears off someday, I hope you realize the way you handled sh** was emotionally immature, spiritually unaware, narcissistic and lowkey evil as f.”

Bunnie also shared a message from a content creator who said, “You did to me what I never would have done to you. I don’t want any type of friendship. I don’t feel safe having you know anything about me or having any association with me…we’re done there’s no go back, there’s no friendship, there’s nothing.”

Another read, “You gotta be a different type of evil when you know somebody love the fu** out of you and you still drag them through hill…”

In addition to the reposts, Bunnie began making her own somber posts soundtracked by songs like Goo Goo Dolls’ “Name” and Aerosmith’s “What it Takes” with the text “Wild hearts can’t be broken.”

Knowing what they do now, fans have gone back to these videos to comment on the fact that it seems Bunnie was trying to say what was happening without actually saying it.

“She left breadcrumbs, we just missed them” one fan wrote.

Another said, “All the sad songs are making sense now.”

Additionally, on May 28, Bunnie subtly revealed that she had a new home, while showcasing a new painting. However, at the time, users in the comment section did not seem to pick up on that detail of the post.

Just after breaking the news, TMZ shared another article stating movers were at the former couple’s Nashville area home. The photo shows a moving truck parked outside the property as items are loaded in.

Her last post with Jelly Roll on TikTok was shared on May 9 and featured a heartwarming clip of the couple alongside his daughter, Bailee Ann, with the text “Never believed in ever after happily ‘til y’all.” According to the court documents filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, Jell Roll states the couple broke up on May 9. He filed for divorce 9 days later.

Just hours before the shocking news went public, Bunnie took to Instagram to post a story in a pink lingerie set and wrote “She’s getting her sparkle back.” In a separate story, she shared the quote, “Come here, let me show you what love feels like.”

US weekly has since confirmed that Jelly Roll was not wearing his wedding ring during his most recent performance at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium as part of CMA Fest 2026. The last time the couple was seen together publicly was at the 2026 Grammy Awards in February.

The former lovebirds first met in 2015 at one of his concerts on Fremont Street in Las Vegas and went on to marry on August 31, 2016. In 2023, they returned to the Stained Glass Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas where they first said “I do” to renew their vows.

In her new book, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, Bunnie, wrote about their love story and even revealed that they had planned to expand their family. She had been documenting their journey of infidelity, which included finding a surrogate and and going through the process of IVF.

“Now that we’re finally stable financially and somewhat emotionally after all the healing we’ve done over this decade together, we’re talking about the future—including growing our family,” she wrote in the book. “J and I have a surrogate, the sweetest woman ever, and soon I’ll be starting my IVF stims.”

But there’s no denying that their relationship has had plenty of highs and lows, including infidelity. Back in October, when he appeared on the “Human School” podcast, Jelly Roll got candid about the fact that he was unfaithful to his wife. He also said at the time that he had put in the effort to mend his mistakes and as a result, had become “stronger than we could have ever been.”

Despite Bunnie Xo’s cryptic posts, neither she nor Jelly Roll have yet to publicly address the reported filing.

WATCH: ACM’s OUR COUNTRY Series Premieres Jo Dee Messina’s Performance Of Aerosmith’s ‘Dream On’

Jo Dee Messina is the latest artist to be featured in the Academy of Country Music’s new premium digital series OUR COUNTRY™. The stripped-down music video premieres today with the country star’s rendition of Aerosmith’s “Dream On.”

With her performance, the songstress stays true to the mission of the just-launched series, which aims to celebrate “the music, memories, and stories that define Country Music” by creating “a powerful musical tribute to America’s past, present and future.”

She brings her traditional country sound to the 1973 rock classic, backed only by two guitarists. Stripping the song down, Messina delivers a softer take on the power ballad while still maintaining its emotional strength as she showcases her wide vocal range. The result is a more vulnerable rendition of “Dream On” that highlights her ability to command a song.

Messina explains to ACM that she opted to sing the Aerosmith classic as an opportunity to step outside of her typical country sound while paying tribute to a fellow Massachusetts-born band whose music played a role in her childhood.

“I remember being a little kid and hearing this. I grew up outside of Boston so for me to be able to sing an Aerosmith song, first of all, is an honor. And second of all, it’s scary because if you don’t do a good job, then you can’t ever go back home,” she said with a laugh.

Beyond the performance itself, Jo Dee Messina went on to share her belief that music serves as a powerful outlet for self-expression.

“I think music in general, no matter what the format or the genre, it kind of gives us a voice,” Messina continued. “It gives our feelings of voice or our life, our voice, or our trials of voice. And so I think whether we sing it or we listen to it, it gives us a chance to be heard.”

That perspective perfectly sums up the mission of OUR COUNTRY™. According to ACM, the series was designed as a way to connect artists and listeners across generations, highlighting unity, heritage, and the genre’s lasting impact on American storytelling. Each artist delivers an acoustic interpretation of a classic song of their choosing while also taking part in candid conversations that blend personal storytelling with reimagined hits. The series also explores themes of identity, inspiration, and connection, showing how music continues to bring people together while honoring the past and spotlighting the future of the genre.

OUR COUNTRY™ is about more than performance — it’s about connection,” said Lauren Burchett, Academy of Country Music Head of Strategic Partnerships & Revenue. “This series gives artists the space to share the songs and stories that shaped them while reminding audiences of Country Music’s history and its unique ability to unite people through shared experiences, emotion, and storytelling.”

Jo Dee Messina is the third artist featured in the series, which launched with Wyatt Flores and later showcased Kaitlin Butts. Each installment combines stripped-down performances with candid conversations, allowing artists to reflect on the music, memories, and experiences that have influenced both their lives and careers.

The complete lineup includes:

  • Wyatt Flores performing The Fray’s “How to Save a Life”
  • Kaitlin Butts performing The Steeldrivers’ “If It Hadn’t Been for Love”
  • Jo Dee Messina performing Aerosmith’s “Dream On”
  • Thelma & James performing “You’re the One That I Want” from Grease
  • Jackson Dean performing Uncle Lucius’ “Keep the Wolves Away”
  • Craig Campbell performing Clint Black’s “Killin’ Time”

New episodes will continue to roll out weekly across ACM’s digital platforms, including YouTube, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and TikTok.

Kenny Chesney To Be Honored With Career-Spanning Country Music Hall Of Fame And Museum Exhibit

Kenny Chesney’s legendary journey from East Tennessee dreamer to country music superstar will soon take center stage at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Opening July 23, 2026, Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward will offer fans an in-depth look at the singer’s life and career, tracing his path from performing with the bluegrass band at East Tennessee State University to becoming one of the most successful touring artists of the modern era.

The exhibit will feature a wide range of artifacts from throughout Kenny Chesney’s life and career, including instruments, awards, photographs, handwritten materials, stage-worn clothing and personal memorabilia. Among the items on display will be Chesney’s Gibbs High School football jersey and varsity jacket, reflecting his longtime passion for the sport, as well as the Fender Concord acoustic guitar he played during his college years at East Tennessee State University and after moving to Nashville. The guitar has signatures from several artists and songwriters who influenced his journey, including Dean Dillon, Harlan Howard and Porter Wagoner.

Visitors will also see the original cassette tape containing a 1992 demo of “When She Calls Me Baby,” a song that later appeared on Chesney’s debut album, In My Wildest Dreams. Another highlight is the weathered wicker rocking chair that inspired his beloved song “Old Blue Chair” after a sunrise moment on a beach in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The chair later appeared on the cover of Be as You Are (Songs from an Old Blue Chair) and in the song’s music video.

Additional artifacts include a handwritten Nashville Number System chord chart used during the recording of the Grammy-nominated hit “You and Tequila,” as well as a life-size replica of a 235-pound blue marlin Chesney caught in 2003 and nicknamed “Marley” after Bob Marley. The marlin became a fixture of Chesney’s tours and was famously recovered after being swept away during the 2010 Nashville flood.

The exhibition will also showcase more recent pieces from Chesney’s career, including the No Shoes Nation tank top and jeans he wore during a 2022 performance at Gillette Stadium, the hat featured on the cover of his 2024 album Born, and a commemorative football presented to him after three sold-out shows at Gillette Stadium in 2025. Rounding out the collection is a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul guitar signed by two of Chesney’s musical heroes, Steve Miller and Sammy Hagar, during his 2008 Poets & Pirates tour.

“Kenny Chesney’s creative vision and intense drive to continue raising the bar has helped him reach staggering commercial and artistic highs,” Kyle Young, chief executive officer of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, shared. “He has broken almost as many records as he has made, and his work is far from done. Through his distinctive sound and dynamic live show, he continues to expand country music’s audience, its perception and its sound.”

“When you’re so busy living life – literally in fast forward – you rarely pause to think about all the miles traveled, the faces you’ve met along the way,” Chesney, who Billboard named the Country Artist of the Century, added. “Trying to decide what things to send to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum that represent a whole lot of dreams, living, songs, the work and things you don’t dare imagine was as hard as anything I’ve ever done. But in the end, I feel like every piece of who I am is represented – and I hope that for someone who’s thinking about chasing their own crazy dreams, this may be the spark to get them on their way.”

Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward will be included with regular museum admission and will remain on display through June 2027, giving fans nearly a year to explore the career-spanning exhibit.
