You truly never know who might show up on Broadway in Nashville, and singer Sheyna Gee learned that firsthand when country star Gretchen Wilson unexpectedly joined her on stage at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row.
Wilson captured the unforgettable moment on social media, sharing a video that shows her casually walking into the bustling Broadway venue. As the house band launched into her 2004 hit “Here For the Party,” Wilson paused to listen, clearly amused, before making her way to the bar to order a drink.
“POV: you hear a Broadway singer singing your song,” Wilson wrote over the clip.

As the band played on, Wilson blended into the crowd, but it didn’t take long for Sheyna Gee to spot her. Once she realized who was in the room, Gee excitedly called out from the stage, “Gretchen Wilson is in the building,” drawing cheers from the crowd before making a bold request.
“Would you maybe sing a song with us?” Gee asked.
She didn’t have to ask twice. Moments later, Wilson made her way to the stage, joining Gee and the band for an impromptu performance of her breakout hit, “Redneck Woman.” The crowd immediately lit up, smiling, clapping, and singing along as the iconic anthem filled the room.

The surprise performance even turned heads outside the venue, with passersby stopping to see what all the excitement was about.
Wilson later shared the moment to TikTok, where Gee summed up the experience perfectly, writing, “I will never get over this 🥹 thank you so much for singing with us 🫶🏻.”
Later, Gee took time to reflect on the moment, telling Country Now, “It was an absolute dream come true to get to share the stage with one of my idols! I’ve been a fan since Redneck Woman when she gave a voice to the girls like me.”

Gretchen Wilson is currently riding a new wave of momentum. She recently shared the stage at the Ryman Auditorium with Ella Langley, made an appearance at the CMA Awards, and was featured on the successful CBS show The Road alongside Blake Shelton and Keith Urban.
Wilson’s 2026 schedule is already shaping up with several major dates on the books, including Rock the Country and an appearance at the iHeartCountry Music Festival.

After experiencing a sudden and heartbreaking loss, one fan turned to Luke Combs in hopes of finding a moment of light for her family during an unimaginable season of grief.
On Monday, January 19, a college student named Maddie Stack posted a video to her TikTok account with a message that she hoped would reach the country music superstar. In the emotional post, Maddie explained that her family has been navigating an incredibly difficult chapter after the unexpected passing of her father.
The tragedy struck on November 20, 2025 when her dad was bringing her younger brother, Conner, a freshman, back to college at Notre Dame. According to Maddie, it was an ordinary day, until it wasn’t. After arriving on campus, Connor and his dad shared their goodbyes and “I love yous,” not knowing it would be for the last time.
“He got all the way to Notre Dame and they said their goodbyes and love you’s and he turned around to drive back home. Conner unpacked his clothes. He planned on calling my dad 30 minutes later because that was just their plan and what they usually did,” she recalled. “And he tried to call him 30 minutes later and he never answered. And my dad was always the person to answer us.”
@stackersss Dear Luke Combs, To summarize this video. My dad tragically and suddenly passed away on the Notre Dame campus on November 30th. My brother, Conner, was the one to find him and give him CPR. He’s a current freshman at Notre Dame, and I would love to help him make have a positive experience at ND now after this tragedy. My goal is for Luke to meet my brother, as this would be one of his dreams. Luke plans to head to Notre Dame in the spring, and having my brothers first time be positive in the stadium after his last memory is a football game with my dad would be my dream. Fearing what could have happened to his dad, she says Conner checked his location only to find that in that short time frame, their father had only made it down the street. Conner ran to his location and found him unconscious. He performed CPR for 11 minutes until first responders arrived, but his dad was pronounced dead just one hour later.
Maddie then revealed that she was sharing her story with the world in hopes of getting the attention of the “Back in the Saddle” singer. Her hope is to turn her brother’s upcoming birthday into a meaningful moment by giving him and her family members the opportunity to meet Combs when they return to the Notre Dame stadium for the concert on April 18.
“My dad was my brother and all of our best friend, and it’s been really hard going through this. And my little brother loves Luke Combs, loves him…I would love to help him make have a positive experience at ND now after this tragedy. My goal is for Luke to meet my brother, as this would be one of his dreams. Luke plans to head to Notre Dame in the spring, and having my brothers first time be positive in the stadium after his last memory is a football game with my dad would be my dream.”
She asked that users tag Combs, send him the video, anything to try and reach him. The response was overwhelming. And after racking up nearly 400k views and hundreds of comments, Luke Combs himself appeared in the comment section.
He wrote, “I got you Maddie. So sorry for your loss. Promise I’ll make that night special for Connor and your family! God bless.”
The next day Maddie returned with a second video thanking everyone who helped make the moment happen and admitting the video reached Combs “way faster” than she ever expected it to.
“Thank you so much for literally everything and the support, the prayers. It has been really comforting during this and opening up about that was really hard. And looking back, I can’t even look at it without wanting to cry. So thank you guys so much,” she shared humbly.
@stackersss Thank you guys so much for the prayers, support, and getting this to Luke’s attention! Conner will be meeting Luke in April, and I cannot be more excited for him. This wouldn’t be possible without all ur support, so thank you all so much. I’m trying to figure out how I tell Conner, so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I would love to be able to tell him before I leave Sunday if possible. Thank you guys ♥️
The fan went on to let everyone who has been following her story know that she has been in touch with Combs’ team and has arranged plans to her family to meet the country star. While Maddie will be studying abroad in Europe at the time and won’t be able to attend, she says she’ll be involved as much as possible.
She ended the video by asking for ideas on how to surprise her brother and shared plans to continue using her TikTok account to document her healing journey and honor her father’s memory.
“My grief is still very fresh and it’s going to be challenging going away, but I’m super excited to have a little bit more of a new experience. And I have certain things that I want to do every place that I go to kind of keep my dad feeling like he’s with me.”
The video concluded with Maddie once again expressing a sincere thank you for all the support she has received.
“It’s been super, super amazing, not just for me, but literally my entire family, even though Connor really doesn’t know about it. And thank you so much, Luke Combs, for literally everything. I’m super excited for this experience and seeing where this is going to come in April, just with him meeting him and being able to show people how amazing Luke Combs is. He’s an amazing person and thank you guys all literally so much.”

Luke Combs is set to perform at Notre Dame Stadium this spring as part of his 2026 My Kinda Night Stadium Tour. For Maddie’s family, this is will mean far more to them than just another concert.
In a moment of unimaginable loss, Luke Combs stepped in with empathy and grace, proving that for him the connection with fans extends far beyond the stage.
