Jake Owen is celebrating five years of sobriety and took to social media to share a message of gratitude and pride as he reflected on the milestone.

In a “quick life update,” Owen revealed that September 17 marks five years since he decided to stop drinking alcohol.

“September 17th, today. I decided five years ago I was not going to drink any more alcohol, and here we are five years later. So I’m kind of proud of myself actually. I feel great. I have not made too many dumb decisions in the last five years, but I really feel like that’s part of life and part of growing older is recognizing sometimes the flaws within yourself, or a lot of the times the flaws within yourself and working on it.”

The Florida native went on to thank everyone who has supported him throughout his sobriety journey while also opening up about some of the decisions he made in the past that he wishes he could take back.

“I know that even before I made the decision to stop drinking, I made so many dumb decisions and treated people in ways I wish I could take back, said things that I. Just dumb. But part of getting better and part of life is recognizing mistakes and then moving forward. And five years later, I can say that I have no regrets and I encourage anyone out there that’s always. I didn’t realize by quitting drinking it wasn’t for anyone other than myself and the people I love the most, but I didn’t realize how much it really can affect others and give them a guiding light.”

As he continued, the “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” singer encouraged anyone who may be considering sobriety to take that step, while admitting that he didn’t want to get on a “soapbox” about it.

“So I just want you to know if you’re thinking about it, it’s a big deal in life and it’s awesome and life only gets that much better. Not to ever stand on a soapbox because that’s not really my thing, but I’m just really lucky. I can look around and see how great of friends I have in my life, the people that have really been there for me and believe in me. And I think we’re all lucky in this world to have those kinds of people in your life. And I just want to show them as well how much I love y’all and hope you have a great day today.”

Owen shared the video while on his way to Canada after spending a few days in Pebble Beach, California, with his father and some friends.

In closing, Owen shared a heartfelt message with his followers.

“I love you guys. I’m proud of you. I’m proud of me. I’m proud of all of us. Just be good people. Keep bettering yourself.” 

Jake Owen released his latest album, Dreams to Dream, in 2025. According to a recent Instagram post, he is also working on opening a restaurant and bar called Pearl’s in downtown Kingston Springs, Tennessee, named after his eldest daughter.

As fans count down to the premiere of The Voice Season 30, the coaches are continuing to build excitement with the highly anticipated coaches’ performance, which premiered earlier today.

This long-standing The Voice tradition brings the coaches from different genres of music together for one epic performance. This season is no different, as Kelly Clarkson, Riley Green, Queen Latifah and Adam Levine came together to showcase their talents with a performance of “The Weight” by The Band.

Green kicks off the performance, strumming his acoustic guitar before Levine takes over on the drums for the first verse as the other coaches watch on and groove to the music. When the chorus arrives, all four coaches join in, harmonizing beautifully.

Queen Latifah showcases her powerful vocals next, followed by Green, who takes on another verse while strumming his guitar.

A barefoot Clarkson closes out the performance with her soulful vocals, proving once again that she can truly sing anything. 

“The Weight” was released by The Band in 1968 and was later named one of Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Season 30 of The Voice marks the return of alums Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson, while Queen Latifah and Riley Green are making their coaching debuts.

During a recent appearance on the Superstar Power Hour podcast, Green opened up about his role on The Voice and admitted that being part of the popular reality singing competition is “a lot easier than acting.”

The Alabama native recently made his acting debut on Marshals, where he starred alongside Luke Grimes. His character had a lot of baggage.

“When I was on Marshals, I’m playing a former Marine with PTSD and there’s something that’s very serious and you wanna get that right,” he pointed out. “It’s something I haven’t lived through. I’ve got to get out of my skin, and on The Voice I’m just being me.”

Green shared that he uses his personality and sense of humor to try to convince contestants to join his team.

“All you have to do is just make fun of Adam for being old, talk about how famous Queen Latifah is, and then talk about how much more country you are than Kelly Clarkson so that they pick you.”

Fans can tune in to the Season 30 premiere of The Voice on Monday, September 21 at 8/7c on NBC.

Luke Bryan has just shared the unfortunate news that his Farm Tour stop in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, will no longer take place as scheduled tonight (Sept. 17) due to unsafe field conditions.

Just hours before he was supposed to take the stage at 1846 Farms, Bryan too to his Instagram story to let fans know about the cancellation. In his statement, he explained that the decision was made with the safety of everyone attending the event in mind.

“Hey y’all. Unfortunately, tonight’s Farm Tour show in Latrobe, PA will not take place due to the conditions of the field. I am so sorry. This call was made for everyone’s safety.”

The country star says fans should hold onto their tickets and parking passes as his team is working on the next steps. As soon as a decision has been made, he will relay the update through social media and his website. Ticketholders can also keep an eye on the email for more information coming soon.

“God bless and stay safe y’all,” he added in conclusion.

Tonight’s show was expected to bring roughly 20,000 fans to the Latrobe area, with Dasha and Kenny Whitmire also scheduled to appear as part of the lineup. The Stas family explained to Trib Live that preparing the farm to host involved clearing about 30 acres to accommodate the stage, vendors and parking. Hosting an event like this would be no easy task, but they were up for the challenge.

“It’s really fun to see us on the map for something like a headlining country star like Luke Bryan,” Stas said. “For so many people who might not have the means to travel down to Pittsburgh for this kind of concert, it’s really cool that he’s coming to our backyard.”

Luke Bryan is scheduled to continue his Farm Tour with three more shows this weekend. He will head to Ohio on Sept. 18, Indiana on Sept. 19 and Michigan on Sept. 20.

The news arrives just one day before the release of Luke Bryan’s ninth studio album, Signs. After working on the 12-song collection for the past year, it will finally be available to fans.

He shared an early glimpse into the album with his current Top 10 radio hit, “Country And She Knows It,” as well as “Word On The Street,” “Fish Hunt Golf Drink” and more.

Music City fans will also have the opportunity to celebrate the release with Luke Bryan when he performs Luke Bryan & Friends at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday, September 24. The five-time Entertainer of the year will deliver a set list full of No. 1 hits as well as plenty of brand-new tracks.

All performers on the show will be surprise guests, except CMA New Artist of the Year nominee Avery Anna, who was announced as an opener.

“Nashville! I can’t wait to celebrate my new album #Signs at Luke & Friends next week…Get ready to have a good time with some very special guests,” Bryan wrote in anticipation of the night.

Little Big Town has been touring together for 25 years, and they are approaching another run with the 2026 For The Art of it Tour beginning this month. In honor of the upcoming tour, they revealed the pre-show tradition that has spanned their entire career.

During an interview with TODAY, Kimberly explained that all four of them and their bandmates huddle up together before taking the stage. The ritual has remained a constant throughout their many years on the road as it gives the group a chance to pause before the energy of the show takes over.

“Right when we are all dressed and ready and warmed up and everything, we all get together in a room with our band guys and some of our crew,” she explained. “We might mention a few things about the show and then say a prayer, do a little cheers, do a little chant, and off we go. Every show.”

Karen added that while the prayer element has always been a central part of it, the overall tradition has slightly evolved over the years.

“We used to say our favorite Ron Burgundy quote and you had to try to come up with a different one every night. So we would do a prayer and then the irreverent Ron Burgundy like, ‘Nope Milk was a bad choice.’ Things like that,” she said in reference to Will Ferrell’s character in the 2004 film Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

The For The Art of it Tour will support their newest project, It’s A Dying Art, which arrived Aug. 28 via MCA and was co-produced by Gena Johnson and Little Big Town’s own Karen Fairchild. 

When asked if there’s anything they usually do to celebrate a big release like this, Kimberly immediately called out Karen for having a tradition of buying something “really expensive.”

“And it’s gotten more expensive over the years,” she added jokingly.

Karen jumped in to confirm the statement and even admitted, “I ordered it last night.”

Kimberly assured her bandmate’s husband, Jimi Westbrook that she got 30% off her most recent purchase, which she revealed was a pair of boots from the brand, Miu Miu.

“They’re really, really cool,” Karen stated.

Before signing off from the interview, the band couldn’t leave without raising a glass to their new chapter.

Kimberly choose to cheers to “Being together for as long as we have, which is a dying art” while Karen made her toast to “making a record that we’re really proud of.”

She also made sure to tribute the late Dolly Parton and stated that we should all try to live by her “kindness and her mantra of her life of giving. Cheers to Dolly and It’s A Dying Art.”

The trek kicks off with a weekend of three shows across Florida and Georgia, starting in St. Petersburg on September 24. They will continue with stops in Atlanta, Boston, Orlando, San Antonio, Chicago, Toronto, and more through Nov. 22.
