Over the years, many country acts have performed at the Super Bowl, but it has been over three decades since the biggest sporting event of the year has hosted an all-country lineup for its halftime show. With Super Bowl LX just around the corner, Jelly Roll is dreaming of making that moment a reality, and he’s already imagining the perfect lineup.
While walking the red carpet at the pre-GRAMMYs Gala with his wife, Bunnie XO, by his side, he told Entertainment Weekly that with Nashville building a brand-new Nissan Stadium, he hopes the Super Bowl will come to Music City. If that were the case, he predicts that it would be the perfect opportunity to finally host a country-filled halftime show.
“The Super Bowl could possibly come to Nashville in the next three to five years. We’re getting a new stadium. And I have a dream that they do a country music themed halftime show,” he told the reporter.
If this were to turn into a reality, Jelly Roll says that he would, of course, like to be included, even if it’s only for a few seconds. Besides himself, the genre-bending star votes to include a mix of modern superstars and icons like Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton.
“I would love to see the country legends and some of the new dogs like Morgan Wallen, HARDY…that’s my dream. Kenny Chesney and maybe they let me come out and do a verse of something.”
Bunnie also weighed in, making sure to include some of the new generation of female country stars making waves, like Megan Moroney and Ella Langley, which then prompted Jelly Roll to add Lainey Wilson to the list.
“All of our friends. But yeah, I’d love to see a country music themed halftime show that just kind of involved the whole community,” he added.
The “Winning Streak” singer isn’t the first to suggest a full-fledged country halftime show. Dierks Bentley also posed the idea back in 2023, the same year that Chris Stapleton delivered his unforgettable National Anthem performance for Super Bowl LVII
“For me personally, I’d be very happy watching Chris doing the half-time show. He would be amazing, and I think people would really love it…we need country as the half-time show. I’m just gonna say the Hot Country Knights are available,” he said, throwing out his parody country band as an option.
Chris Stapleton is joins the elite list of singer/songwriters of the country genre who have performed the National Anthem at the big game over the years. Others include Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Reba McEntire, and more.
But the last time the halftime show featured all artists of this genre was in 1994. That year, Clint Black, Wynonna and Naomi Judd, Travis Tritt and Tanya Tucker, teamed up for a show to remember.
Fans saw Black open the show with “Tuckered Out,” followed by Tucker delivering “It’s A Little Too Late” and Tritt singing his hit “T-R-O-U-B-L-E.” Later on, Wynonna sang “No One Else On Earth” featuring a surprise appearance from her mother, Naomi, along with the rest of the lineup for a powerful performance of “Love Can Build a Bridge.”
This year, Super Bowl LX is once again lacking in the country music department. Taking place on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, GRAMMY-winning rapper Bad Bunny will headline the Apple Music Halftime Show.
Additionally, Green Day will be on hand for the opening cermony, Charlie Puth will deliver the National Anthem and Brandi Carlile will sing “America the Beautiful.”
In between all the highly-anticipated performances, the Seattle Seahawks will take on the New England Patriots. All the excitement will unfold throughout Super Bowl LX, airing Sunday, February 8 at 6:30pm ET on NBC, Peacock, Telemundo, and Universo.

Rising country singer Shane Profitt got emotional as he reflects on getting the call to tour with Luke Bryan, marking a full-circle moment in his rise from small-town life to the big stage.
“I’m truly humbled and grateful to tour with Mr. Luke Bryan. From a gas station to the stage. Doesn’t even feel real,” he expressed.
The story behind that statement goes back to an unexpected moment that took place back when Profitt was just 20 years old and making $13 an hour cutting grass in the medians of the road while working for the city of Columbia, Tenn. He says the day he got the call to join Bryan on his 2026 Word On The Street Tour, he was out on a duck hunt, reminiscing on that time of his life and scrolling through old memories.
In that moment, he came across a picture of the day he unexpectedly ran into Luke Bryan at a gas station. Looking back now, that chance encounter feels even more surreal, knowing just how much his life has changed since then. Profitt admitted he was trying to hold it together while reflecting on his journey.
“If you’d have told 20-year-old me that I would one day get to open up on Luke Bryan’s tour, I would’ve called you a liar. I can’t thank you enough for everything. This is crazy. I’m so blessed,” he acknowledged. “I know that this is going to be a hell of a year. Thank you, Luke. This is insane. It’s going to be fun.”

He then prompted fans to come see him and the five-time Entertainer of the Year out on the road throughout the upcoming trek, which kicks off with back-to-back shows on May 29 and 30 in Gilford, New Hampshire and runs through September 26.
Profitt further acknowledged that his reason for making this emotional video was simply to express his gratitude for the incredible opportunity and all the support that fans have given him along the way.
“I’m so blessed and it’s all because of y’all and the good Lord, and I don’t ever want you to think that I take it for granted because I don’t. I appreciate y’all.”
In addition to all the fans leaving positive messages, several of his fellow country acts including Luke Bryan were moved by his statement.
Bryan wrote, “Buddy. You got me emotional,” while Bailey Zimmerman told him, “Dude you absolute legend🔥”
Lauren Alaina also gave him an encouraging boost as she wrote, “Love you bud. So deserved. So proud.”
Conner Smith added that he was “proud of you my friend” and Randy Houser told him, “Go get em buddy. First class people out there.”
Along with Profitt, the tour will hit arenas and amphitheaters across the country with support from rising acts including Drew Baldridge, Karley Scott Collins, Lanie Gardner, Randall King, Zach John King, Raelynn, Lauren Watkins, Jake Worthington, and DJ Rock on select dates.
Throughout the run, those in attendance can expect to hear Profitt perform the unreleased track that has been causing major buzz online, “You Could Do Anything.” He began teasing the real-life story of catching his father cheating on his mother just a few weeks ago and the response has been better than he ever could have expected.
As a result, he’s chosen to play it as the final song in his live shows, instead of making it his next radio single. No release date has been set for the track, but the Columbia, TN native promised his fans they are working on ironing out those details and will share more once the date is locked in.
“Thanks yall so much for the early support on this song. Means more than I can ever say,” he noted.

Country legend Marty Stuart has been sidelined and forced to postpone concerts after a fall on the ice left him with a hand injury and a sprained wrist.
The longtime Grand Ole Opry member shared the unfortunate news on social media, revealing that he is currently unable to play the guitar or mandolin.
“Well, there’s the slow hand – the Mojo Hand, the Winning Hand, the Unseen Hand, the Hard Working Hand, and then I fell down on a patch of ice and did an excellent job of hurting my hand and spraining my wrist, complete with a state-of-the-art hairline fracture. Good job, Marty!” he wrote.
The “Hillbilly Rock” singer is thankfully on the mend, though it will be some time before he’s back to full strength.
“It’s getting better by the day. The worst part of it all is I can’t play the guitar or the mandolin, at the moment,” he revealed.
Stuart asked fans to “please pardon” the “cancellations and inconveniences” and promised that he and The Superlatives will “return in full force just as soon as possible.”
“Meanwhile, stay safe, everybody,” he concluded.
The post included a caption with further guidance for fans:
“Updates for February shows are coming soon, please keep an eye out on socials and your email. For any refund information, please contact your point of purchase. Stay safe, everyone!”
Fans flooded the comments section, sharing well wishes for Stuart.
“You are so good you could probably learn to pick with your feet! Get well soon,” one fan pointed out.
Another shared, “Prayers for you Marty Stuart, speedy recovery and good health.”
According to Marty Stuart’s official website, his next scheduled tour date is set for Thursday. March 19 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Marty Stuart’s fall came during the historic winter storm that struck Nashville on January 25, 2026. The storm left hundreds of thousands without power and continues to have lingering effects, with some Nashville Electric Service customers still in the dark.
Some local school districts have been out since the storm, while Metro Nashville Schools returned to class on Tuesday (Feb. 3).
