Chris Young is stepping into an exciting new chapter with the announcement of his very own Nashville bar, Famous Friends.
Named after his chart-topping hit “Famous Friends” with Kane Brown, the new venue will be located on Demonbreun Street, just steps away from the popular Tin Roof. Designed as a laid-back sports bar, the spot promises a relaxed atmosphere for fans and locals alike.
“Good vibes is really what I’m aiming for with this place,” he explained. “If you call a place Famous Friends and you listen to that song, what is that all about? It’s about people who are all different and doing different things. I want a place where everybody can hang out and just enjoy themselves.”

He continued, “I want people to be able to go in there, enjoy whatever their game is, whether if they’re an Eagles fan. I want you to be able to have your game on and watch your game and talk crap to each other, but be polite and just have a good time. Good vibes is really a thing that I’m aiming for for this place, because if you call a place Famous Friends and you listen to that song, what is that all about? It’s all about people that are different. They all do different things, but I want a place for everybody to be able to hang out and just enjoy themselves.”
Famous Friends is nearly complete, however, an opening date has yet to be announced. The location of the bar was picked specifically as it holds a special place in Young’s heart.
”Demonbreun is definitely a place that I spent a lot of time. I lived over there for a while, and so, I’ve seen it change so much. I’ve walked up and down that street going to and from writes a billion times. I’ve seen people on their way up as artists playing in a lot of those spots over there and they’ve changed a lot over the years, but this is a place that I’ve got a lot of great memories. Me and Shay Mooney from Dan + Shay singing at the top of our lungs in some of those places for no reason whatsoever,” he shared. “You know, little memories like that that I think are important. And I think that that street has always been very important to Nashville. Being able to create another spot there, and hopefully a spot that people love and love to go to, hopefully people remember it for a long time.”
This project is something the “Young Love & Saturday Nights” singer admitted this is something he’s wanted to do for “years.”
”This for me was just a passion project. It was just something else — not that I’m not already as busy as I could possibly be — I decided I wanted to do one more thing, but’ it’s been on my mind for years now. I’ve been looking for the right place, and I just happened to find it,” he said. “A lot of people go to that area and just hang out. I wanted to be able to offer something a little bit different and also have a place where maybe we’ll throw some number-one parties there. Maybe we’ll have some private events there. Maybe we’ll do a little bit of everything, but also have a place specifically for me, just my love of music and my love of sports. That’s going to be the walls of this place.”
Meanwhile, the Middle Tennessee native is making waves on the charts, as his latest single, “Til The Last One Dies,” breaks into the Top 20.
