Ingrid Andress is letting her guard down in a vulnerable new track titled “Tattoos.” Tapping into a personal struggle, the songstress delivers a story centered around fear of commitment both in relationships and in her everyday life.
She penned the haunting track alongside a group of standout Nashville songwriters, including Jordan Schmidt, Chase McGill and Emily Weisband. Together, the creatives used something as simple as a temporary tattoo to reflect the weight of something much deeper.
“Tattoos” begins with Andress testing out a temporary tattoo and admitting how overwhelming it felt to even consider making that artwork a permanent part of her body. This image sets the tone for the true confession that follows.

She sings, “I drew a flower on my ankle to see how it felt/ By the time it faded, I thought I’d probably want something else/ It’s hard to imagine being so confident/ In something to make it so permanent/ What if I hate it and can’t take it back?”
There’s is a lingering intensity that comes from how emotionally conflicted Andress is over what she knows she can give to a partner versus the promises she can’t get herself to make. The honesty hits hard as the song continues into the chorus, with lines about commitment making her “nauseous.”
“That’s why I can’t do commitment ’cause it makes me nauseous/ Wish it was different but if I’m being honest/ I don’t like to break things so, I won’t make a promise/ It’s got nothing to do with you I think of it often, me getting married/ You’re a good option but forever is scary/ It’s got nothing to do with you/ It’s got nothing to do with you/ I don’t even have tattoos,” Andress sings with a rawness in her vocals.
The Multi-Platinum-selling singer-songwriter reflects on the personal message that runs throughout the track, recognizing that she has a habit of walking away before things get too serious.
“‘Tattoos’ is a song about commitment issues and the weight of choosing something permanent like a tattoo,” she explains. “I wrote this song to express a familiar internal struggle of mine – wanting to be fully present and dedicated in a relationship while simultaneously grappling with the anxiety of forever.”

More new music is set to drop throughout the year as Andress gets closer to finalizing her third studio album, which will follow her sophomore album, Good Person, and debut, Lady Like, both co-produced and co-written by Andress.
Ingrid Andress also recently announced her “Low-Key Sessions” tour. The trek is set to launch May 8 in the Cincinnati area and wrap up May 15 in Minneapolis.
The dates for this run were chosen after Andress asked fans for input via social media. Using those responses, she handpicked each of the six cities based on their submissions. Fans can expect to hear a setlist full of brand-new, unreleased music alongside a stripped-down band and minimal production.

Celebrity lookalike contests are popping up all over the world, and the latest one in London set out to find the best Kacey Musgraves doppelganger.
A group of people donning dark brown wigs and their best country attire gathered for the search to find someone who most closely resembled the Grammy-winning country artist. What started as a fun event quickly turned into something even more unexpected when Musgraves herself showed up.

In a new video posted to TikTok, Musgraves is seen earning loud cheers from the room as she introduced herself.
“Well, I’m Kacey, that’s my name,” she began before dropping a nod to her song “Biscuits,” saying, “I mind my own biscuits.” The Texas native was fully committed to the moment while wearing a red gingham dress reminiscent of the one from the track’s official music video.
When it came time to name the winner, Musgraves didn’t take the crown for her own lookalike contest but she was not a sore loser. The “Butterflies” singer happily crowned the winner before sharing a toast with her newly appointed doppelgänger and ending the moment with a hug.

This fun fan event took place while Kacey Musgraves was across the pond promoting her new album Middle of Nowhere, following her surprise appearance at weekend two of Coachella where she performed several tracks off the project.
Set to arrive May 1, Middle of Nowhere, features 13 tracks that offer stories that pay tribute to her Texas upbringing, as well as moments of reflection and finding clarity after a breakup. Fans can also expect to find collaborations with acts including Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Billy Strings, and Gregory Alan Isakov.

Musgraves has already shared a look into the project through the first single, “Dry Spell.” She opened up about the inspiration behind this particular track during a new interview on CBS News Sunday Morning.
“I had that title written down in my phone because quite literally I was going through a draft spell,” Musgraves noted before later admitting that said dry spell has since been “broken.”
.@KaceyMusgraves tells @anthonymasoncbs the inspiration behind her hit “Dry Spell” came from real life, saying she wrote it going through one herself and jokes it’s since been broken: “I’ve got everything I need.”

She goes on to tell Anthony Mason about how she experienced a renewed sense of confidence in her writing after the lyrics for “Dry Spell” unfolded.
“There is no greater drug. Mostly, I’m always in competition with myself. Can I beat myself? Can I make this better? Leaving that day and playing it in your car, you’re like, okay, I have not lost it. You’re like, that was good,” she acknowledged.
The full interview is set to air Sunday at 9 AM ET on CBS. Fans can get their hands on the new album next month.

Emily Ann Roberts and her husband Chris have spent most of their lives growing and learning together. She says he has seen her at the highest highs and the lowest lows, remaining her biggest supporter through every step of her rising career. So, of course, when the songstress found out she had earned her first ACM nomination, he was right there with her to take it all in.
The rising star got the exciting news on April 9, learning that she has been recognized in the category of New Female Artist of the Year alongside Avery Anna, MacKenzie Carpenter, Dasha, and Caroline Jones.
Roberts filmed her reaction as well as her family members when she jumped on facetime with them to make the announcement. Emotions were at an all-time high as tears flowed from her face, taking in this milestone that she has worked so hard for.

One week later, Roberts caught up with Country Now at the inaugural backstage Access Presents in Napa Valley, CA and further reflected on the moment. Despite what appears to be a picture-perfect life that they share together online, Roberts admitted that they’ve walked through the hardest days together as well, which made celebrating the nomination side by side that much more special.
“I love to put on a happy face all the time on stage and on social media, but Chris really sees me when I’m at rock bottom. He sees me on the good days. He sees me on the hard days and he loves me through all of it,” she admitted. “So when I found out that I was nominated for the ACM and we got to experience that win together, that’s just as much a win for him as it is for me because we are a team in this and there is nothing that I don’t walk through in this career that he’s not with me every step of the way on. So I want to experience all my wins with him. He’s just my best friend.”
Roberts first met her now-husband in Spanish class in the second semester of her sophomore year. She jokes that for about five months she had to “convince” Chris that they were meant to be together. Her methods clearly worked because by June 2015, they had officially started dating and in November of 2020 they tied the knot.
“I was 15 and he was 16 and I thought he was so cute and he would not give me the time of day,” she recalled. “He was so shy, but finally I convinced him that I was the love of his life and we have been happily married ever since.”

After almost six years of marriage, Emily Ann Roberts can confidently say that key to making things work for so long is simple: communication.
“Hearing your partner out and them hearing you out is the most important thing in the whole world. And always being quick to forgive and serve one another. That’s a lot,” she noted. “If you put the other person first, then I don’t know if you can mess up after that.”
The couple will get to celebrate her first nomination with an elevated date night at the upcoming ACM Awards on May 17.
“I’m going to get that man looking spiffy. He’s usually in his Walmart jeans and his black t-shirts, but he’s going to be shined up for the ACMs for sure,” she smiled.
Fans can tune into the 61st ACM Awards next month to see which new female artist will take home the trophy. The show is set to stream live exclusively on Prime Video for a global audience across more than 240 countries and territories at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT from the iconic MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Viewers watching from home can also see all the excitement unfold through the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and through the Amazon Music app.
Roberts also set to join Thomas Rhett on his SOUNDTRACK TO LIFE TOUR and continue headlining select dates throughout the year before heading back overseas this fall to support Cody Johnson.

Carly Pearce is celebrating her 36th birthday in the best way she knows how: by giving fans a gift of her own. The GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter just released her brand-new track, “You Can Have Him,” as a surprise gift to them.
The just-released tune offers another glimpse into what’s to come on Pearce’s forthcoming album and leans heavily into her traditional country roots, complete with rootsy production featuring steel guitar, bass, fiddle, and dobro.
We caught up with Pearce by phone on Thursday as she made her way to Bowling Green, Kentucky to kick off a weekend run of shows.

“I think the album as a whole is really a return to form of my bluegrass and traditional country roots. And I feel like it really gets showcased in the song, just that old traditional, what would a Carly Pearce song be back in the 1960s on stage at the Opry? And I really wanted to showcase that part of my story because I feel like I haven’t really gone there before in a traditional country sense,” she explained.
Pearce produced the track alongside Ben West and co-wrote the tongue-in-cheek lyrics with Tofer Brown, Carter Faith, and Lauren Hungate.
“You Can Have Him” tells the story of a man who isn’t exactly picky when it comes to women. He “likes blondes, brunettes, and redheads,” and once he starts drinking, just about anyone in his vicinity becomes a target. While Pearce admits she kissed him “about an hour ago,” she ultimately decides she’s done dealing with his wandering eye.
“If he’s lookin’ at you that way with a look on his face/ That says “I can whisk you away,” go get at him/ If you can take him, you can have him/ If you make him wanna flirt in your denim mini skirt/ And he’s workin’ up the nerve/ If it’s lookin’ like he loves you, you should ask him/ If you can take him, you can have him,” she sings on the chorus.
Reflecting on the day they wrote the song, Pearce shared, “We were on the road last year together, Carter and I, and I just asked her, I’d never done that with one of my opening acts, but I just think the world of her. So I had asked her to write a song with me and we wrote this song really fast on the road, just kind of as a fun, tongue-in-cheek, honky-tonk drinking song as far as giving advice to girls. If a guy’s looking around, let him go.”
While the male character in the song may come off a bit sleazy, Pearce admitted there wasn’t a specific person in mind when crafting the storyline, they were simply leaning into the playful nature of the track.

For the country star, it was also important to show a different side of her artistry.
“I’ve been wanting to show a different side of myself that’s a little less serious and more just fun,” she admitted.
The upcoming project, which will serve as the follow-up to 2024’s hummingbird, finds Pearce pushing herself creatively and making music on her own terms, free from outside expectations.
“I think with this album, I’ve really gone to places that I never have before because I just simply am making this record for me without like parameters of what the industry or people tell me I should be,” she told us. “It’s like, this is the music that I wanted to make. And I think you’re going to really hear that sonically and lyrically just in a way that you haven’t from me and I’m really excited about that.”

“You Can Have Him” follows Carly Pearce’s recent releases, including her duet with Riley Green, “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay,” as well as “Church Girl” and “Dream Come True.” Pearce says dropping multiple songs ahead of the album has been “really fun,” adding, “There’s a lot more music to come and large announcements coming very soon.”
She’ll celebrate her birthday with a show tonight at Capitol Theatre in Wheeling, West Virginia, and she won’t be celebrating alone. She confirmed her boyfriend, Jordan Karcher, will be there for the occasion. It’s fitting timing, too, as she revealed “You Can Have Him” is “his favorite song on my album.”
As she gears up to share more details about this next chapter, Pearce teased, “This is the most excited I’ve ever been…”

Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen, two of the most buzzed-about country artists right now, have released their first-ever duet, “I Can’t Love You Anymore.”
Penned by Langley with Austin Goodloe and Joybeth Taylor, “I Can’t Love You Anymore” is a smoky, slow-burning track that pairs effortlessly with the story of two lovers who just can’t seem to let go of what they once had. The lyrics paint a picture of lingering heartbreak, where memories still feel hard to escape, even though they try hard to convince themselves it’s over.

Langley opens by capturing the constant push-and-pull she feels toward her love interest, before the two come together on the chorus. Wallen then takes over in the second verse, offering his perspective their struggle to let go of the emotional attachment they both hold.
“I can’t love you anymore/ Can’t keep chasing you around, ’round the back of my mind/ I can’t need you anymore/ Can’t keep sharing this bed with your ghost every night/ I hate that your kiss left a burn on my lips/ Oh baby, how do I tell my heart it ain’t yours//When I’ve said it before?/ I can’t love you anymore,” the country acts sing together on the chorus.
The vocal chemistry between Wallen and Langley is undeniable, with their voices blending in a way that really brings out the best in each other.
The pair of superstars sent fans into a frenzy nearly a week ago when they debuted the song in a surprise performance at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The stop on Wallen’s I’m Still The Problem Tour drew more than 80,000 fans and marked concert in the football stadium for more than 30 years.
Following Wallen’s nearly two-hour performance, he has made it a habit of closing out the night with an encore moment featuring Langley. On previous stops of the tour, the Alabama native has joined him for his duet with Tate McRae, “What I Want.” But in Tuscaloosa, the crowd was treated to something extra special.
Wallen announced that the rising female act had written the song and sent it to him “about a month ago.”
“I loved it the second I heard it,” he admitted.
Alongside today’s release, the hitmaker explained that the two of them had been in talks about doing a song together for awhile now and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.
“We have been on tour together and I’m a huge fan of what she does. She wrote and sent over this song and from the beginning riff, it was hard to deny. I’m honored she wanted me to be the one to do it with her,” he added in a new statement.
Fans quickly connected the dots that this actually wasn’t the first time the song had been teased. In the recently unveiled music video for her Platinum-certified hit, “Choosin’ Texas,” the final clip finds Ella Langley driving off in a van with Miranda Lambert, leaving her character’s love interest Luke Grimes at a bar. The back of the vehicle had a license plate that read “ICLYA,” which we now know was a subtle Easter egg hinting at the new song.

This release follows hot on the heels of Langley’s brand new album, Dandelion, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
Her time on the road with Morgan Wallen isn’t done yet. The “You Look Like You Love Me” singer still has a few more select dates on the I’m Still The Problem Tour.
Additionally, she is set to embark on her first sold-out headlining arena run, The Dandelion Tour, beginning May 7 and running through August 15. Between her rising number of hits, a new album out now and a bigger production scale, this is gearing up to be a can’t miss tour.
Fans can also catch Ella Langley making her Stagecoach debut tonight in Indio, CA.
