Megan Moroney Performs ‘Wonder’ at Best Friend Natalie King’s Turks and Caicos Wedding in Full-Circle Moment

Megan Moroney ‘s friendship with Natalie King came full circle over the weekend when the country music songstress performed “Wonder” at King’s oceanfront wedding to Alex Harp in Turks and Caicos. This song marks a milestone not only in Moroney’s career but also in their friendship, that began freshman year at the University of Georgia (UGA) after rushing the Kappa Delta sorority together.

Penned by solely by Moroney, “Wonder” traces all the way back to their college days. As she explains to all the guests during the destination wedding reception, she was inspired to write the slow-tempo tune at a time when King was going through a toxic relationship. Being the good friend that she is, Moroney promised her sorority sister that one day she will find the man she deserves, one who won’t have her staying up by the phone at 3am waiting for his call or drowning in “what-ifs and maybes.”

The song went on to become the Georgia native’s debut single in 2021.

Reflecting on the heartbreak that once inspired the song, it felt fitting for Moroney to bring it full circle at King’s wedding, where she stood by her side as maid of honor, celebrating the love that Moroney always believed would come for her best friend.

“I’ve played this song a lot but I think that this might be the most meaningful time that I play it,” Moroney admitted, while speaking to the intimate gathering of family and friends. “For those of you that don’t know, the first song I ever released was a song written for Natalie. She was trying to date some loser. In the song I’m telling Natalie, ‘if you just hold out, you’re going to find someone that is going to show up early and you’re never going to have to wonder how he feels about you.’ And I definitely think that with Alex, you found that,” she said to King.

The video pans to King and her new husband, showing emotions spreading across her face as Moroney delivers the heartfelt lyrics.

“Don’t be sad, it’s happy. We’re celebrating,” she noted.

Now that the wedding celebrations have come to a close, it’s time for Megan Moroney to return home to Nashville to prepare for her Cloud 9 Tour, which kicks off May 29, 2026, with the first show taking place the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio.

The massive worldwide 43-date international arena tour includes stops at major arenas across North America, Europe, and the UK, with stops at iconic venues like New York City’s Barclays Center, Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, Chicago’s United Center, and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. She will be joined by supporting acts JP Saxe and Solon Holt.
