Master P shared heartbreaking news with the Hip-Hop world after confirming that Young Bleed is in intensive care just hours after their performance at the Cash Money vs No Limit Verzuz concert in Las Vegas.

The No Limit mogul posted a video from the event on Instagram Tuesday (October 28), asking for continued support and spiritual strength for his longtime collaborator. “Snoop Dogg and I was just talking about how we have to love eachother while we here! Young Bleed’s Sister Requests Privacy For Family

A woman identifying herself as Young Bleed’s sister confirmed the medical emergency in a Facebook post and urged the public to respect the family’s privacy.

“THIS WILL BE MY FIRST AND LAST POST,” she wrote. “WE ARE RECEIVING A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF CALLS ABOUT MY BIG BROTHER GLENN, TANK, YOUNG BLEED. IF YOU HAVE NOT CALLED HIS MOTHER PERSONALLY PLEASE DO NOT POST ABOUT HIM. OUR FAMILY ASK THAT YOU RESPECT OUR PRIVACY AND HOLD ALL CALLS AND TEXT AT THIS TIME.

“HE IS STILL CURRENTLY IN ICU AND HIS MOTHER ASKED IF YOU ALL WOULD RESPECT HER WISHES AND NOT MAKE ANY RIP POSTS.”

According to a source who spoke with AllHipHop, the Baton Rouge rapper collapsed from a brain aneurysm on the same night he performed with Master P during the hyped Verzuz showdown.

The event marked a rare reunion of No Limit and Cash Money artists, drawing a packed crowd and nostalgic energy from longtime fans.

Young Bleed rose to prominence in the late ’90s with his breakout hit “How Ya Do Dat” and became a key figure in No Limit’s rise.

His appearance at the Verzuz event was seen as a celebration of that legacy, making the sudden turn of events all the more painful for those close to him.

As rumors of his death began circulating online, family members quickly shut them down, reiterating that he remains hospitalized and in critical condition.

They’ve asked the public to avoid misinformation and instead focus on prayer and healing.

The Hip-Hop community has responded with an outpouring of support, with artists and supporters flooding social media with messages of hope and gratitude for Young Bleed’s influence on Southern rap.

As of Tuesday (October 28), Young Bleed remains in the ICU as his family continues to monitor his condition.

Snoop Dogg Faces Critics Head-On At Jackson State HIV Awareness Event

Snoop Dogg brought star power to Jackson State University on Tuesday (October), stepping into a campus auditorium for a surprise appearance during GLAAD’s “Generation Z and HIV: Human Issue. Southern Solution. An HBCU Tour.”

The Hip-Hop icon joined students, advocates and health leaders for a timely conversation about HIV prevention in Black communities and his recent remarks about LGBTQ representation in media.

A post shared by Jackson State University (@jacksonstateu)

The event marked the kickoff of GLAAD’s HBCU tour, with Jackson State serving as the first stop.

Snoop sat down with Darian Aaron, GLAAD’s Director of Local News for the U.S. South, for a fireside-style discussion that tackled both his own learning curve and the broader HIV crisis affecting the South, per WLBT3.

“HIV in Black communities is far from over, and Black people in the South, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, or number of total partners, remain at disproportionate risk,” Aaron said. “The tour will help inform and protect students with essential knowledge about HIV, including that it is preventable with an injection or daily pill, as well as survivable and untransmittable when properly treated.”

Hosted by Spectrum at JSU and backed by pharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences, the program aimed to deliver critical education around HIV prevention and harm reduction to Gen Z students at historically Black colleges and universities.

Snoop Dogg Faces Backlash Over LGBTQ Remarks

The appearance came just months after Snoop faced widespread criticism for comments made during an episode of the It’s Giving podcast, where he expressed discomfort with LGBTQ+ themes in children’s programming. Recalling a moment with his grandson while watching Disney’s Lightyear, Snoop said:

“I’m scared to go to the movies now. Y’all throwing me in the middle of stuff that I don’t have an answer for… It threw me for a loop. Do we really need to show this at their age? They’re going to ask questions, and I don’t have the answers.”

The remarks drew backlash across social media and news outlets, with many accusing the rapper of being tone-deaf.

In October, Snoop took a more affirming stance by releasing “Love is Love,” a song featured on his Doggyland kids’ show that promotes family diversity and acceptance.

GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQ media advocacy group, selected Jackson State to launch its tour, aiming to reach students with real-world information about HIV and how stigma, misinformation and silence continue to fuel the epidemic.

Nelly Furtado Announces She’s Stepping Away From Performing After 25 Years In Music

Nelly Furtado marked the 25th anniversary of her breakout album with a major career shift, announcing she’s stepping away from live performances indefinitely.

The Grammy-winning singer revealed the news in an Instagram post, telling followers, “I have decided to step away from performance for the foreseeable future.” She added, “I plan to pursue other creative and personal endeavors that I feel would better suit this next phase of my life.”

The timing of the announcement aligns with a milestone in Furtado’s career—25 years since the release of her debut album Whoa, Nelly! in 2000.

The record catapulted her to international fame, driven by the success of “I’m Like a Bird,” which earned her a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2002.

Furtado’s decision to pause live shows comes shortly after a high-profile return to music.

In September 2024, she dropped her seventh studio album 7, her first since 2017’s The Ride. The comeback was inspired by hearing her older songs played by DJs at events and clubs.

“I really feel like I was called back to the industry by the industry, especially DJs,” she told Grammy.com last year. “I would go out and hear my songs played before arena shows of other artists, and at house parties and clubs. There was a sense of joy and celebration in it. I thought, this can only be remixed so many times, I better go make some new stuff.”

Nelly Furtado Reflects On 2024 Tour

The Portuguese-Canadian artist wrapped her Better Than Ever summer tour in August, performing at festivals and venues across multiple cities. Reflecting on the experience in her Instagram post, she said it had “been so fun” to get “out on stages again and seeing up close, the true lasting power of good music.”

Even as she steps away from the stage, Furtado emphasized that her connection to music remains strong. “I have enjoyed my career immensely” and will still “identify as a songwriter forever,” she said.

Her chart-topping hits include “Maneater,” “Say It Right,” “Turn Off the Light,” and “Promiscuous.”

Harlem Rapper Posta Boy Dead, Fans React

Posta Boy died this week at age 42, leaving behind a legacy rooted in Harlem’s Hip-Hop scene and a reputation built on raw skill and resilience.

The rapper rose to fame after dominating BET’s 106 & Park “Freestyle Friday with a seven-week winning streak. That run earned him the honor of becoming the first emcee inducted into the show’s Hall of Fame.

While the exact cause of his death has not been confirmed, the rapper had previously endured serious health complications. Years ago, he revealed a battle with cancer that led to the removal of a testicle and an 11.5-hour surgery to eliminate tumors from his kidney and nearby organs.

He underwent chemotherapy and dropped to 130 pounds during treatment.

Despite the life-threatening diagnosis, Posta Boy returned to music. He released mixtapes like Real Recognize Real and State of Emergency and had plans for a full-length album titled Live From The Emergency Room.

His lyrical talents earned him collaborations with established names including Nelly, Clipse, Raekwon, Talib Kweli and Jae Millz, expanding his reach beyond New York’s underground circuit.

Social media quickly filled with tributes following news of his death. Many remembered him not just for his lyrical ability but for his perseverance through illness.

“Long live Posta Boy. You set the bar high brother,” one person said while another added, “RIP I was just watching your 106 run the other week.”

While no official statement has been released by his family, the Hip-Hop community continues to mourn the loss of an artist who inspired through both his bars and his battles.

Member Of Lil Durk’s Inner-Circle Shot Dead In Broad Daylight Attack

THF Bayzoo was gunned down Saturday afternoon in a brazen daylight shooting on Chicago’s Southwest Side, ending the life of the 35-year-old rapper whose name had become synonymous with the city’s drill music underworld.

Devonsha Collier, better known as THF Bayzoo, was hit multiple times during a 3 P.M. shooting in the Little Village neighborhood, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Two others were also wounded in the incident and taken to a local hospital in fair condition.

The attack marked another grim entry in the ongoing violence surrounding Chicago’s drill scene, where the line between music and street life has often blurred.

THF Bayzoo had long been affiliated with Only The Family, the rap collective founded by Lil Durk and was considered one of its most street-certified members.

Confirmation of his death came via Instagram from fellow OTF artist Doodie Lo, who posted a heartfelt tribute to his 500,000 followers.

“MY BFF MY BRUDDA MY DAWG TAUGHT ME ALOT THIS ONE HURT WOP MAN EVERYBODY KNOW OUR RELATIONSHIP,” he wrote. In another post, he added, “I GOT YO KIDS FOR LIFE WHEN I GOT SHOT YOU JUMPED ON THE ROAD NO QUESTIONS.”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Doodie Lo (@bigdoodielo)

THF Bayzoo’s reputation in the drill community was built on both his music and his alleged street activity. Known as “The Chicago Spinner,” he was described on Apple Music as a “long-standing member of the Family” who “spits authoritative bars.”

He appeared on tracks like “Sip Again” from the OTF compilation album Only The Family – Lil Durk Presents: Loyal Bros, which also featured the late King Von, who was killed outside an Atlanta lounge in 2020.

Beyond music, THF Bayzoo’s criminal record painted the picture of a man deeply embedded in Chicago’s gang conflicts. In 2022, he was arrested on felony weapons charges. More notably, he was charged in 2014 for his alleged role in a July 4, 2009, homicide.

Prosecutors claimed he approached 21-year-old Dominic Barnes, asked about his gang ties, then shot him several times before robbing him.

His death comes amid heightened scrutiny of OTF, following Lil Durk’s arrest on murder-for-hire allegations. Federal raids last year also swept up several OTF affiliates, leaving the crew fractured and under pressure.

Fetty Wap’s New Prison Photo Surfaces As Fans Rally For Early Release

Fetty Wap continues to maintain his presence in Hip-Hop culture even while serving his six-year prison sentence for drug trafficking. The “Trap Queen” rapper recently surfaced in a new prison photo that has fans calling for his freedom.

The New Jersey native, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was sentenced in 2023 and is expected to be released on March 13, 2027. Despite his incarceration, Fetty Wap remains connected to his fanbase through occasional updates from behind bars.

A new photo of the multiplatinum artist recently made its way online, showing him posing confidently for the camera in prison attire. The image was accompanied by a heartfelt message that read “Free you brother. we miss you and love you #KZ.” The snapshot quickly circulated among fans, many of whom continue to rally behind him and demand his release.

Supporters have not given up on securing Fetty Wap’s early freedom. Previous efforts included launching a clemency petition to reduce his sentence, though those attempts have been unsuccessful so far. Updates about the chart-topping artist have been limited, leaving fans eager for more news as they await his return to music.

Meanwhile, Fetty Wap’s family remains vocal about bringing him home sooner. His sister, Divinity Maxwell-Butts, took to Instagram earlier this year to advocate for his sentence to be commuted, connecting her message to April’s observance of Second Chance Month.

“April is Second Chance Month – a time to recognize that people deserve redemption, not just punishment,” she wrote. “My brother has taken responsibility and served over half his sentence for a nonviolent offense. He is scheduled to be released in 2027. But justice should also mean mercy. His sentence should be commuted so he can come home to his family, his children, and his purpose. It’s time. #PardonFetty #SecondChanceMonth #BringHimHome.”

A post shared by Divinity Maxwell-Butts (@divinitymarquita)

The rapper’s supporters continue to hold out hope that mercy will prevail and that the artist behind hits like “My Way” will be reunited with his family and fans sooner rather than later. Even while serving time behind bars, Fetty Wap’s presence in the culture remains undeniable.

Mr. Wave, the legendary B-boy and original member of The New York City Breakers, has stepped behind the camera with his company Reel Sung Productions to celebrate one of Hip-Hop’s most defining moments.

The production house has released the official trailer for Beat Street: Where Are They Now, a highly anticipated documentary revisiting the cast and creators of the 1984 Hip-Hop classic Beat Street. The film dives deep into the legacy of the groundbreaking movie that helped introduce the world to Hip-Hop’s four core elements: MCing, DJing, graffiti and breakdancing.

Beat Street: Where Are They Now brings together many of the original stars, including Doug E. Fresh, Kool Moe Dee, Rae Dawn Chong, Grandmaster Melle Mel, Michael Holman, Guy Davis, Arthur Baker, The New York City Breakers and others. The trailer reveals never-before-heard stories and fresh perspectives from those who helped shape the early days of Hip-Hop, offering a rare glimpse into how Beat Street became an international symbol of artistic resistance and self-expression.

Jay-Z Claps Back At MAGA’s Attempt To Cancel Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Dreams

Jay-Z stands firm behind Bad Bunny‘s selection for Super Bowl LX’s halftime show, as conservative critics and a viral petition demand the Puerto Rican superstar be replaced by country legend George Strait.

The Roc Nation mogul was approached by TMZ in New York City on Monday and asked about the mounting criticism surrounding Bad Bunny’s upcoming Super Bowl LX performance in New Orleans.

When pressed about the hate directed at the reggaeton star, Jay-Z delivered a pointed response.

“They love him, don’t let them fool you,” Jay-Z said, defending Bad Bunny’s popularity in America despite vocal opposition from some quarters.

The billionaire Hip-Hop executive’s comments come as a Change.org petition calling for Bad Bunny’s replacement with George Strait has exploded to over 95,000 signatures.

The petition, started by user Kar Shell, argues the Super Bowl halftime show should “unite our country, honor American culture, and remain family-friendly.”

The petition explicitly targets Bad Bunny’s “drag performances and style” as “the opposite of what families expect on football’s biggest stage.”

It promotes George Strait as embodying “unity, tradition, and the timeless American music that truly deserves the 2026 Super Bowl spotlight.”

President-elect Donald Trump also weighed in on the controversy, claiming he had never heard of Bad Bunny during an interview. The comments added fuel to conservative criticism of the NFL’s choice.

The petition organizer later clarified their stance in an update, stating the goal is to “keep the Super Bowl family-friendly” and “keep politics out of the halftime show.”

They argued that Bad Bunny’s previous comments about audiences needing to learn different languages alienated English-speaking fans.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has already confirmed the league will not replace Bad Bunny despite the backlash.

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation has partnered with the NFL since 2019 to select Super Bowl halftime performers.

Bad Bunny recently won the “Best Artist of the 21st Century” trophy at the Latin Billboard Awards, cementing his status as one of music’s most prominent global stars.

The Puerto Rican artist has broken numerous streaming records and sold out massive stadium tours worldwide.

Super Bowl LX will take place on February 9, 2026, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Bad Bunny’s performance is expected to be one of the most-watched halftime shows in recent memory.

Kodak Black Peforms In His Boxers, Instantly Goes Viral & Sparks Concerns

Kodak Black stripped down to just his boxers during a live performance in Austin, Texas, drawing loud cheers from the crowd and instant concern online.

The Hip-Hop artist hit the stage at the Haunted2K 2025 event at Plaza de Toros R3 on Saturday, October 25, wearing nothing but underwear and a pair of sneakers.

Video clips from the night quickly flooded social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), where users reacted with a mix of laughter, confusion, and worry.

Footage shows the rapper confidently moving across the stage as he delivers his set in front of a packed audience. The crowd appeared thrilled by the surprise wardrobe choice, but the internet had a different tone.

“Praying for this young man in all seriousness,” one user posted.

Another wrote, “yea they need to get him some help asap.” A third added, “Everyone on his team doesn’t care about his wellbeing.”

The clips went viral within hours, with hashtags like #KodakBlack and #AustinTexas trending across Hip-Hop pages and entertainment accounts.

This isn’t the first time Kodak’s behavior has raised eyebrows. In May 2025, he delivered a freestyle on ‘On the Radar’ where he openly rapped about drug use, saying he had a “meth habit.”

Earlier that year, he also told his Instagram followers he was “never sober,” a claim he repeated during podcast interviews and livestreams.

NFL Hall Of Famer Connected To Expanding Sports Betting Scandal

Antonio Gates allegedly hosted a manipulated poker game in Miami that has now pulled the NFL into a widening federal investigation originally centered on the NBA.

The Hall of Fame tight end is the first NFL figure named in the ongoing investigation into illegal sports betting and poker games tied to organized crime, according to journalist Pablo Torre.

Sources told Torre that Gates hosted the Miami game, which was allegedly orchestrated by Curtis Meeks — a man indicted by federal prosecutors last Thursday.

The probe, which has already led to 34 arrests, initially targeted NBA personnel but now appears to be expanding across professional sports.

Earlier this week, the FBI arrested Terry Rozier of the Miami Heat, Chauncey Billups, head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, and former NBA guard Damon Jones. All three were indicted for their alleged involvement in a gambling ring linked to mob activity.

As reported by Torre, the poker game Gates allegedly hosted was part of the same network of rigged games and illegal betting that federal officials say operated in multiple states. The NBA placed both Rozier and Billups on administrative leave following their arrests.

Other NBA names have surfaced during the investigation, though not all have been charged. Kevin Garnett reportedly walked out of a 2019 poker game after realizing it wasn’t the afterparty he had expected. Ty Lue, current head coach of the LA Clippers, was also present at a separate poker event in Las Vegas that same year, but sources said he played at a different table than Billups.

Gates, who was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer, played 16 seasons with the San Diego Chargers and still holds the NFL record for touchdown receptions by a tight end with 116.

He last played in 2018 and was an eight-time Pro Bowl selection.

Federal authorities have not confirmed whether Gates will face charges.

The investigation is ongoing as prosecutors continue to assess the full scope of the alleged gambling operation.

The Department of Justice announced the 34 arrests on Thursday, signaling that the case is far from over.
