Ja Rule Gets Back At 50 Cent Over Viral Concert Video

Ja Rule lit up social media Thursday (July 17) after aiming another jab at longtime rival 50 Cent, bragging about his touring income and mocking the rapper’s recent ticket promotion overseas.

Ja Rule went after 50 Cent because he posted a viral video to his Instagram featuring a phone conversation between a woman and her man, in which she asks if he wants to attend a Ja Rule concert, and everyone laughs at the high ticket prices.

The post, which has since been deleted, still struck a nerve with Ja Rule.

“Ya’ll going to that Ja Rule concert???” he wrote alongside a video of his live performance posted to X, formerly Twitter. “Imagine trying to clown someone currently on tour making 6 figures a show you n****s cooked… @50cent take notes like you been doing this what a REAL performer looks like… lmao.”

Ja Rule continues the “Where The Party At” tour, a run through North America with acts like Nelly and Eve. The outing is scheduled to finish in September.

Last month, Ja Rule clapped back at 50 Cent’s regular taunts by claiming the G-Unit boss was experiencing slow sales on his “Legacy” tour after fans claimed the rapper was offering a two-for-one ticket sale promotion to fill up empty seats.

When a supporter of 50 responded to Ja’s criticism by saying, “His tickets sold out, Ja Fool,” Ja clapped back with, “You sure bout that??? Ain’t nobody coming to see you Otis… I mean, Curtis.”

The online antics between the pair, who have been feuding for almost 30 years, continued when 50 Cent posted footage of a massively packed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and writing: “How do you win a fight, if you’re fighting someone who is too stupid to know they lost? Just keep hitting them till they stop moving.”

Ja Rule’s “Where The Party At” tour wraps up in September 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Guide To Best Weed In D.C. Certified By Granny Za’s

Washington DC might be best known for its politics, but there’s another green wave sweeping through the capital. A rising cannabis culture. Over the years, DC has carved out a unique and evolving marijuana scene that’s unlike anywhere else in the country.

This refreshing cannabis culture is making life a lot simpler for those who suffer and a lot more fun for those who are constantly seeking out the most exhilarating experience.

In this guide, we stroll through DC’s streets and peek at the unfolding culture, discuss the latest rules and regulations, and guide you to the best weed in DC

What the Cannabis Culture in DC is Like

The city’s cannabis culture is like no other. Yes, consumers do still tread carefully when they are indulging in the pleasures. Mostly because they fear stigma. But the overall vibe for these, once taboo, products is mostly positive. Consumers are more open about this part of their lives and openly celebrate it. DC even hosted a National Cannabis Festival in July 2025 that celebrated the legalization of weed with live music and fun exhibitions.

With so much positivity and many supportive communities to join, you will certainly find your place, whether you are a medical or recreational consumer.

The Latest DC Cannabis Legislation

The latest changes in legislation are making cannabis more accessible than ever. Yet, consumers still need to step within boundaries or they could face penalties, charges, or even jail time. Let’s take a look at the most noteworthy rules and regulations that every consumer should know about.

Age Limitations

The age limitations haven’t changed since these products were first legalized. You still need to be 21 and over to be able to buy or consume these types of products, whether it is in flower or processed form.

Possession and Usage Regulations

Adults can only have up to 2 ounces of cannabis flower in their possession. They can grow a maximum of 6 plants, of which only 3 may be fully mature. You can also only gift up to 1 ounce of dry flower to another adult.

As for usage, it is still best to indulge at home. Public use is strongly prohibited, and consumers can only receive their treatments on private property.

The “Gifting” Market is Shutting Down

Since 2023 – 2024, DC authorities have started cracking down on unlicensed stores that gift cannabis with purchases of merchandise. A great many unlicensed dealers and recreational stores have been shut down, leaving only a few fully authorised dispensaries still operational.

The Legal Way to Buy Weed in DC

If you want to buy weed legally within Washington, DC, then it is best to follow the right protocol. This applies to both recreational and medical consumers. The only legal route is by using the medical market. Fortunately, this process is quite simple.

Register as a Medical Patient

Any consumer needs to register as a medical patient with the ABCA (Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration). Consumers can self-register directly on their website or at the ABCA offices. Both DC residents and non-DC residents can apply.

DC Residents

Simply fill out their online questionnaire to apply for your medical cannabis card. Applicants will instantly receive a temporary digital registration card. This allows you to immediately buy from dispensaries for up to 30 days. In the meantime, your authorised digital card will be emailed to you. This card can be valid for up to 2 years.

Non-DC Residents

Those residing outside of DC can also apply for a medical cannabis card. The procedure is the same, but the medical cards are different. There are five different cards in total that each vary in their validity periods. You can apply for a 3-day card, 30-30-day card, 90 90-day card, 180-day card, or 1-year card.

For the application process, you will need a government-issued ID card and a photograph or selfie.

Visit a Licensed Dispensary

Once you have your temporary or permanent digital cannabis card, you can start shopping. It is important to only visit a fully licensed dispensary like Granny Za’s. When you present your card, you will be able to purchase anything the store offers.

Buying Tips and Considerations

You no longer have to be concerned about cash-only transitions when you visit these stores. Modern dispensaries accept debit payments. What you should be concerned about is product type. The selections at good dispensaries are truly baffling, and it can be difficult to make the right decision if you are still new to cannabis. Here are some important considerations.

Consult With Dispensary Staff

It is best to start your journey by consulting with the dispensary staff. Most employees at dispensaries are very knowledgeable and can help guide you towards a suitable treatment. If you are dealing with a complex condition, then it can be good to book a session with a cannabis consultant. These experts can advise a tailored long-term treatment plan that will offer you the best possible benefits.

Start Slow

Any cannabis veteran will recommend starting slow. Intense dosages can be overwhelming and might even result in an unpleasant experience. It is always better to start low and gradually work your way up to a more potent dose.

Consider the Consumption Method

There are lots of different ways to get your daily treatments. The most common consumption method involves smoking flower buds or joints. Vapes and cartridges have, however, gained a lot more popularity and offer a more pleasant experience since there are a lot more flavours to choose from.

You can also get your treatment o##### or topically. Topical treatments like creams are great for treating surface pain or skin ailments. Edibles or concentrates can also be consumed o##### and can be just as effective as smoking, yet offer longer-lasting results.

The different consumption methods can play a huge part in your overall experience and are worth exploring.

Why Granny Za’s Is The Best Dispensary in DC

Embarking on your cannabis journey is going to be one of the best experiences you’ve ever had. But your experience can only be positive if you focus on a licensed dispensary that distributes trusted, quality products.

Granny Za’s is the best weed dispensary in DC to trust if you want the best buying experience and a positive outcome.

This dispensary is fully licensed and completely compliant with local regulations. They also only offer top-tier products from the most renowned brands. We cannot recommend Granny Za’s enough and hope that all of our readers with an interest in cannabis treatments will start their journey at this high-end dispensary.

Nicki Minaj Fat Shames TDE President As Online Feud Gets Uglier

Nicki Minaj escalated her war of words with Top Dawg Entertainment to another level by mocking the weight of label president Punch in a now-viral tweet, which has intensified a public standoff with singer SZA.

“TDE EXEC ALLEGEDLY WENT TO DR. NOW for his weight loss journey & they just called him & said it’s time to do the loose skin part now. Allegedly,” she wrote, continuing a string of insults aimed at both Punch and SZA stemming from a feud that began earlier this month.

Tensions worsened after SZA pointed out that her SOS Tour grossed over $113 million, which actually bested the $108 million earnings from Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 tour.

After one of Minaj’s supporters questioned her success, SZA fired back with, “I get bullied by millions online every day then step my ass out onna packed stadium tour where ppl show me REAL love . IN REAL LIFE . My parents are healthy and I’m the most successful I ever been. GET SOME F###### PERSPECTIVE n BARK AT THE WALL !!!”

The feud began after Nicki Minaj accused SZA of being “fake” and dismissed her artistry, claiming she relied on auto-tune and wasn’t a real icon. Minaj escalated the situation by resurfacing old tweets, which she claimed were dissing Beyoncé and Rihanna by SZA.

SZA countered with receipts. She posted a texting exchange from 2020 showing Minaj’s team reaching out for a possible collaboration.

“You’ve asked for features twice to no response,” SZA told her. She also reminded the Barbz that she co-wrote lyrics for Minaj’s “Feelin’ Myself.”

Nicki Minaj is a Young Money veteran, like rapper Drake, who’s currently embroiled in an ongoing feud with ex-TDE artist Kendrick Lamar.

SZA, meanwhile, remains focused on her international tour with Kendrick Lamar on the Grand National Tour, with the next leg heading to Paris.

Donald Trump Diagnosed With Debilitating Circulatory Issue Ahead Of 80th Birthday

Donald Trump underwent a full vascular workup at the White House after noticing swelling in his legs, leading to a diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency, a condition common in older adults, according to a letter released Thursday (July 17) by his physician.

The 79-year-old had a “comprehensive examination, including diagnostic vascular studies,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said, reading directly from a memo written by Capt. Sean Barbabella, Trump’s doctor. The letter confirmed that “bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasounds were performed and revealed chronic venous insufficiency, a benign and common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70.”

The evaluation followed Trump’s report of “mild swelling in his lower legs” over the past few weeks, Leavitt said. Despite the diagnosis, Barbabella noted there was “no evidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or arterial disease,” and all lab results were “within normal limits.” Trump also had an echocardiogram, which showed “no signs of heart failure, renal impairment, or systemic illness.”

Chronic venous insufficiency occurs when vein valves in the legs don’t function properly, causing blood to pool. It affects roughly 150,000 people annually, with risk increasing with age. Symptoms may include swelling, aching, varicose veins or skin changes. Treatment ranges from medication to surgical procedures in more advanced cases.

“This is a pretty normal part of aging, and especially for someone in the overweight to obese category, which is where the president has always been,” said Dr. Jeremy Faust, an emergency medicine professor at Harvard Medical School, in an interview with CNN. “But the bigger concern … is that symptoms like this do need to be evaluated for more serious conditions, and that is what happened.”

Cardiologist Dr. Bernard Ashby told CNN that while the diagnosis is not immediately worrisome, it could be a sign of something more.

“Even though he’s diagnosed with a benign condition, venous insufficiency, by itself doesn’t necessarily mean it’s benign,” Ashby said. “The question is, what’s causing the venous insufficiency?”

Ashby praised the medical team for “covering all their bases” by ruling out heart failure and other related issues. Dr. Chris Pernell, a public health physician, added that age, weight and a sedentary lifestyle are all contributing factors.

“If a person is older, a person is overweight, a person is not engaging in regular physical activity or exercise, if a person is sitting or standing for prolonged amounts of time, you can get chronic venous insufficiency,” she said. “And while it is not life-threatening, it can be debilitating.”

Leavitt also addressed visible bruising on the back of Trump’s hand, attributing it to “frequent handshaking” and his use of aspirin. Barbabella confirmed in the letter, “This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.”

The letter concluded with a clean bill of health: “President Trump remains in excellent health.” Trump turns 80 next month and will then be the oldest U.S. president in history.

GloRilla Set To Take Over WNBA All-Star Weekend

GloRilla will bring both street anthems and Southern flair to the national stage when she performs at halftime during the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis on July 19.

The Memphis rapper, who has quickly climbed the ranks in Hip-Hop, was tapped by the league to deliver a high-energy set at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, amplifying the entertainment factor of the weekend’s marquee event.

The league announced her performance on X, making it official ahead of the WNBA Live festivities. Game tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 P.M. ET and will air on ABC, ESPN+ and Disney+.

GloRilla’s halftime appearance places her in the thick of what’s expected to be one of the largest All-Star celebrations in league history.

Two of the WNBA’s brightest names, Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier, will captain the respective All-Star rosters after leading fans’ votes. Clark’s presence in her home arena adds another level of excitement to an already packed venue.

Adding to her momentum, GloRilla will headline her own show, the “Glo Bash,” on July 25 at Memphis’ FedExForum, marking her first major homecoming event.

Team Clark and Team Collier will feature standouts such as A’ja Wilson, Paige Bueckers, Sabrina Ionescu, and Aliyah Boston. Rhyne Howard and Satou Sabally, originally part of the lineup, were ruled out due to injuries, with Kayla McBride named as one of the replacements.

Beyond the basketball, event organizers have infused the game with innovative rules. A 28-foot four-point shot zone is back, live substitutions will occur mid-play, and a shortened 20-second shot clock is in effect.

Teams will receive automatic points for fouls outside the final minutes, removing free throws from most of the mix.

For viewers tuning in from home, the televised broadcast includes over 20 camera angles, mic’d-up players, and on-court interviews. Additional ESPN content will stream simultaneously across platforms.

The weekend also features WNBA Live, a multi-day fan experience packed with music performances, interactive games, and celebrity appearances, held from July 18 to 19 in downtown Indianapolis.

GloRilla takes the spotlight just before Team Clark goes head-to-head with Team Collier in what promises to be a fast-paced matchup on July 19.

EXCLUSIVE: 50 Cent Sues Ex For Millions, Says He Owns Her Life Story

50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins is staring down a federal lawsuit after allegedly promoting tell-all content online that violates a contract signed with the rapper’s publishing imprint, G-Unit Books.

AllHipHop has exclusively learned Tompkins sold the exclusive rights to her life story—including her name, likeness, personal experiences and all related publicity uses—to G-Unit Books back in 2007.

In return, she reportedly received $80,000 and was promised future royalties.

The document refers to those rights as “unconditional, irrevocable, exclusive and perpetual,” leaving no room for public commentary or monetization outside of the company’s control.

However, G-Unit Books now claims Tompkins broke that agreement by posting and sharing a series of interviews and videos that delve into her past with 50 Cent and their son, Marquise.

She claimed the rapper hit her while she was pregnant with Marquise in 1996, that he was physically and verbally abusive during their relationship, hit her in front of her daughter and “beat the mess” out of her in another altercation.

“Capitalizing on her recent notoriety from a ‘viral’ post commenting on testimony in the high-profile ‘Diddy’ trial, Tompkins has repeatedly and deliberately exploited the very rights she conveyed to G-Unit Books,” a complaint obtained by AllHipHop reads.

According to 50 Cent’s attorney Reena Jain, “Tompkins’ behavior was intentional—she explicitly referenced the very agreement she breached while she actively breached it, stating it was something that was ‘going to have to be worked out legally.’”

G-Unit’s legal team argues the damage goes far beyond financial injury.

The core value of those rights, they say, came from their exclusivity, which no longer exists once personal information circulates online.

“Jackson purchased these rights to preserve them for use in future biographical or autobiographical projects, but also in part because he was concerned that Tompkins would attempt to monetize their history and his name. His concerns were ultimately proven correct,” Reena Jain added.

The company is asking the court to do four things: order Tompkins to remove and stop promoting any media tied to her life story, award damages of at least $1 million, require her to cover their legal expenses and grant any other appropriate relief.

The contract also included a clause requiring Tompkins to indemnify G-Unit Books for any losses due to breaches, placing even more weight on her alleged violations.

EXCLUSIVE: Damon Dash Ordered To Court By Judge To Explain Himself Or Face Arrest – Here’s How He Can Get Out Of It

Damon Dash has been summoned to federal court in Manhattan after failing to turn over key ownership documents tied to a $4 million judgment.

The judge has grown impatient and warned Dash that he could be arrested if he doesn’t comply by the end of the month.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Lehrburger issued the order after Dash and his company, Poppington LLC, missed a July 10 deadline to submit certificates proving their ownership in several businesses and copyrights.

The paperwork was required so the U.S. Marshal could sell the assets at a public auction to help satisfy the judgment. As of July 14, the court confirmed that Dash and Poppington had not complied with the order.

Lehrburger noted this was part of a “pattern of non-compliance and delay” and scheduled a hearing for July 31 at 10 A.M., where Dash must personally explain why he should not face sanctions.

If Dash fails to appear, the court may issue a warrant for his arrest and impose financial penalties. However, he can avoid the hearing altogether by submitting the required documents by July 30.

The legal battle stems from a years-long dispute with filmmaker Josh Webber over the 2019 film “Dear Frank.”

Dash was removed from the project but later claimed ownership, prompting Webber and Muddy Water Pictures to sue for defamation and copyright infringement.

In 2022, a judge ordered Dash to pay $805,000 for failing to comply with court deadlines and refusing to participate in mediation.

The situation escalated after Dash made defamatory remarks about Webber on the Earn Your Leisure podcast. This resulted in a $4 million default judgment in 2025.

To recover the damages, the court approved the sale of Dash’s interests in several companies, including Dash Films Inc., Bluroc LLC, Blakroc LLC, Lebanon Improvements LLC, Ocean East Improvements LLC and 1996 Songs LLC. Poppington LLC was also ordered to hand over copyright certificates for multiple films.

Webber’s legal team confirmed Dash’s attorneys had not delivered the documents.

Earlier this week, they sent a letter to the court, requesting an arrest warrant and asking that the disputed assets be transferred to the U.S. Marshal for auction.

Dash previously sold his one-third share of Roc-A-Fella Records for a little over $1 million in December 2024, but the proceeds didn’t cover the full judgment due to outstanding obligations to the state of New York, which purchased the asset.

The court is now trying to enforce the remaining balance through asset liquidation.

The auction will be conducted by the U.S. Marshal, with any leftover funds returned to Dash after the judgment is satisfied.

How Celebrities Are Changing Gambling Industry

The gambling industry is quick to adapt to cultural trends and celebrities are leading the next major shift. Celebrities are not only changing how gambling is advertised, they’re also influencing where people choose to play. Many fans follow the platforms promoted by their favorite stars and sometimes they do not even realize the differences between regulated and unregulated sites. Lately, some celebrities have been tied to casinos not on GamStop, which operate outside the U.K.’s self-exclusion system. These platforms offer fewer limits and more generous bonuses, which seems exciting.

The Celebrity Effect: From Sponsors to Game-Changers

Celebrity endorsements are nothing new, but their impact in the gambling sector is extremely strong. The reason is emotional, because fans tend to trust familiar faces. When a favourite singer, actor, or athlete promotes a betting platform, people are highly likely to engage.

One of the outstanding examples is Drake’s partnership with Stake.com, which is a crypto-based online gambling platform. Since the collaboration began, the rapper has livestreamed his high-stakes betting sessions to millions of fans. His activity has become a frequent topic in trending artist news, reflecting how entertainment and gambling now intersect more than ever. In one stream alone, Drake placed over $1 million in wagers, which caused impressive engagement on social media and betting forums.

According to Business Insider, Stake.com saw a 76% increase in user sign-ups during the months when Drake’s streams were trending globally. This was not just a short-term spike, as his recurring presence helped normalise crypto gambling among younger audiences and fans.

Athletes Turned Ambassadors

While music stars like Drake dominate livestream spaces, professional sportsmen are making equally powerful moves in sports betting. Many of them are now brand ambassadors or investors, so they make use of their popularity and loyal fan bases to advertise sportsbooks. Insights into online gambling preferences show that up to 46 percent of young individuals are more likely to try a new betting website if it is introduced by a famous sportsman. This demographic is particularly valuable to betting companies because they are digitally savvy, mobile-first and responsive to influencer-style marketing.

Gambling Becomes Entertainment

One of the obvious ways celebrities are transforming the gambling landscape is by turning it into entertainment. Gambling is not associated with anonymous online casinos anymore, as it is now a part of TikTok trends, live streams and music videos.

Let’s take DJ Steve Aoki as an example. The star has partnered with online poker platforms to host celebrity tournaments and design digital collectables. His influence has brought poker into the entertainment spotlight, especially for Gen Z audiences, who associate Aoki more with NFTs and virtual concerts than traditional casinos. This crossover between entertainment and gaming highlights how celebrity involvement is reshaping the way younger audiences engage with online betting platforms.

By bringing gambling into mainstream pop culture, celebrities are helping to break the stigma once associated with betting. Thus, the market appeal is expanding.

The Business Side: From Partnerships to Ownership

Some celebrities are more than just faces of campaigns because they are stepping into executive roles in the gambling world. A rising trend is celebrity co-ownership of betting platforms, which is possible through direct investment or strategic branding.

In 2024, there were rumours that 50 Cent was exploring the launch of his own U.S.-focused mobile sportsbook. Even though there was no official statement, the discussions alone were enough to highlight how lucrative and attractive this sector has become for entertainers with business savvy.

Even retired athletes are entering the tech side of gambling. They are investing in startups that focus on AI-based betting analytics, micro-betting tools and personalized odds platforms. These ventures prove that gambling is not just a paycheck for celebrities – it is a long-term business opportunity.

Regulation: The Other Side of Fame

At the same time, the rise of celebrity involvement in gambling was noticed by regulators. Concerns are growing over the influence that famous figures, especially those with large underage followings, can have on young people.

In 2023 alone, the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) banned eight gambling ads that featured celebrities or influencers considered likely to appeal to minors. The ads included soccer stars, reality TV figure and YouTubers with large teenage fan bases. ASA warned that these promotions could “normalise gambling behaviour among impressionable viewers.”

Countries like Australia, Italy and Spain are also considering stricter rules on celebrity gambling ads, so there are proposals including age restrictions for endorsers and limits on social media promotion. This kind of regulatory attention highlights that there is always a fine line between celebrity influence and the way it is used, especially when it comes to an industry as sensitive as online betting.

Still, the situation is clear. Celebrity involvement is one of the most powerful forces shaping modern gambling. They can become anything from investors to brand ambassadors, but stars are making betting bigger, bolder and more mainstream than ever before.

TDE’s Punch Warns Akademiks For Bullying SZA & Joining In Nicki Minaj Beef

Punch TDE didn’t hold back when Akademiks‘ camp stepped over the line again. This time, the account was found targeting SZA, Punch’s artist at Top Dawg Entertainment.

Things escalated after Akademiks’ spin-off account, Akademiks TV, lashed out at SZA in the middle of a Twitter fight with Nicki Minaj. That page (which we know AK oversees) mocked SZA’s mental state and religious beliefs. The account said, “SZA snake ass can’t cry to Drake no more to protect her… She typed them s#### with tears in her eyes crying off the ledge.” WOW.

READ ALSO: SZA & Nicki Minaj Beef Explained By TDE’s Punch Amid Social Media Blowout

This is where Punch jumps in. “Y’all might want to chill. For real, champ. Let’s just keep it cool this time around or just give me a call, man.” Not sure if they talked, but this feels like a continuum.

Punch and Akademiks have clashed several times over Akademiks’ criticisms of Black women in rap. SZA happens to be one that is close to him. Punch has routinely checked AK.

On social media, Punch pressed Akademiks directly: “Ayo Akademiks, didn’t you say that the you personally write the captions for Akademiks TV or were you capping when you said it?” (I’m paraphrasing.)

And now we get to the part where everybody is focus on: The Nicki Minaj part. After Punch tweeted a new song called “Broken Barbies,” she went after him. The song has nothing to do with Nicki. Here are some of the posts:

Although Nicki directed some of her most vicious rhetoric toward Punch, he did not reply. He’s probably trying to avoid more mess. He’s only talking to another man about SZA. Seems like Nicki may be trying a legal strategy because she used some interesting terms like “purposefully used to cause financial damages” and “engage in a smear campaign against the brand.” Hmmmm are lawyers reviewing these tweets?

Akademiks pretty much talked out both sides of his neck. “Nicki on bad timing recently. She ain’t lying either. Everybody just too scared to say the s### she’s saying… She’s only been exposing the demons of this industry.” Uh-Uh.

He seems to be co-signing of Minaj’s behavior, but also saying she on “bad timing.” Meanwhile, Akademiks TV doubled down with insults and religious jabs against SZA. They call that “rage baiting.”

Salute Punch! He appears committed to shielding his team from bullying. I certainly see a different bully than Nicki sees. He also refused to be baited into warfare. We need to be better about establishing lines that cannot be crossed.

Wishful thinking.
