Loose Ends Singer Awaits Bail Decision In Battle With ICE

Jane Eugene has spent nearly three months in U.S. immigration custody and could be deported this week after overstaying her visa for more than two decades.

The Loose Ends frontwoman, known for the 1985 R&B chart-topper “Hangin’ on a String (Contemplating),” was detained in April while crossing the Canadian border.

Immigration officers took her into custody and initially held her in upstate New York before transferring her to a detention facility in Kentucky, where she remains.

Eugene, a British national and longtime U.S. resident, is awaiting a decision on whether she will be granted bail and allowed to remain in the country. If deported, she could be barred from reentering the United States for 10 years.

A GoFundMe campaign launched on her behalf describes deteriorating conditions and a severe decline in her health. “Jane’s health is rapidly deteriorating. Unable to work or generate income for the past few months and foreseeable future, Jane needs our help,” the fundraiser states.

The singer’s legal troubles stem from a 26-year visa overstay, a violation that has left her vulnerable to deportation proceedings. Despite her long-standing presence in the U.S. music scene, immigration authorities detained her without bond.

Eugene rose to fame in the early 1980s as the lead vocalist of Loose Ends alongside Carl McIntosh and Steve Nichol. The trio helped define the British soul movement with hits like “Magic Touch” and “Slow Down.”

After parting ways with the group in 1990, Eugene continued performing under the name Loose Ends featuring Jane Eugene.

Her supporters are now rallying to raise funds for legal fees and medical support, hoping she can avoid deportation and resume her career.

A decision on her case is expected this week.

Model Tyson Beckford Says He Almost Shot Diddy During Street Fight – “Puff You’re Going To Get It First”

Tyson Beckford revealed he once got into a physical altercation with Diddy’s entourage outside a Manhattan tattoo parlor that escalated into a full-blown street brawl with a shotgun being drawn.

During a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, the model and actor stated that the incident occurred before 9/11, after stylist Groovy Lew approached him with a woman and asked Beckford to pose for a photo. Beckford declined, saying he was in the middle of a conversation.

That’s when things took a turn.

“So then, he swung on me,” Beckford said. “And I got to beating the brakes off that man.”

According to Beckford, the fight broke out on Fifth Avenue near Bad Boy’s old headquarters. He said he suffered a head injury after slamming Groovy Lew into a wall.

“I got six stitches in the top of my head, because I ran him into the wall, and then my head also hit the wall,” Beckford said. “So, blood’s coming down my face.”

As the scuffle unfolded, Beckford said a police officer on a motorcycle stopped briefly but didn’t intervene.

“He knew damn well what was going on,” Beckford said. “But he looked like he was about to go turn in the bike and go home.”

After the officer left, Beckford said Groovy Lew fled around the corner and returned with Diddy and several others from Bad Boy Records. Beckford claimed he was left alone to face the group after his friend disappeared.

“My homeboy, he dipped on me,” Beckford said. “So they start coming at me, Puff started talking junk or whatever, and I’m backing up.”

Feeling threatened, Beckford said he went to his nearby Land Cruiser and retrieved a shotgun from the trunk.

“I said, look, I only got five [shells] in here. Puff, you gonna get it first, and big man, you gonna get it first. The rest of y’all, I’m just gonna shower you with it,” Beckford recalled.

The confrontation ended without further violence, but Beckford said Diddy later called his manager to complain.

“She said, ‘Yo, he’s Jamaican. Leave him alone,’” Beckford said.

Joe Budden Once Turned Down $44M—But Still Made Podcast History

Joe Budden is pulling in seven figures every month from his podcast’s Patreon, according to a New York Times profile that breaks down his booming subscriber base and business model.

The former rapper-turned-media personality is reportedly earning about $1 million per month through The Joe Budden Podcast’s Patreon, thanks to roughly 70,000 subscribers paying between $5 and $50 monthly. The figures, confirmed by a Patreon spokesperson, position Budden as the platform’s top earner.

Testa projects Budden and his team could bring in $12 million by the end of 2025 if the current pace holds.

The numbers went public just weeks after Budden accidentally posted a screenshot revealing his Patreon earnings—$902,000 for the month—without blacking out the total. The image quickly circulated online before he attempted to delete it. On a later episode of his show, Budden admitted the leak wasn’t exactly a mistake.

“My moment of excitement, I said to Ian, ‘Yo, do me a favor, big dog, on a FaceTime. Hey, blackout all this other s###. I need to hit that $30 million on him,’” he said.

He later joked in the Times piece that the viral moment led to a wave of salary requests from his co-hosts.

Budden’s current success follows a rocky history with streaming platforms. He previously walked away from a deal with Spotify, claiming the company undervalued his contributions. Before that, he was a host on Complex’s Everyday Struggle, where he said he was paid just $500 a week.

Even when presented with a lucrative $44 million offer in the early 2020s, Budden declined, choosing instead to maintain control of his content and build independently.

Before becoming a media mogul, Budden was best known for his 2003 hit “Pump It Up” and his role in the Hip-Hop supergroup Slaughterhouse. He later transitioned into commentary and podcasting, gaining a reputation for blunt takes and viral moments.

JT Says Wedding Bells Are In Store For Lil Uzi

JT is already planning a future walk down the aisle with Lil Uzi Vert and wants to keep the moment far from the spotlight and off social media.

In a new interview with Cosmopolitan, the City Girls rapper opened up about her long-term relationship with the chart-topping Hip-Hop artist and shared her vision for a wedding that’s elegant, intimate and far removed from internet commentary.

“I’m not married yet, but we definitely are going to marry each other. That’s my best friend,” she said. “That’s my dog. Uzi is such a cool person. We’ve been together since 2019, so we’ve been growing together. We just look at each other and are like, ‘Damn, we really cool, we really know each other. We really can exist and still like each other.’ It’s beyond love. He be wanting me to come hang with him. I’m like, ‘Boy, we live together — why do you want me to come to the studio and hang with you?’”

Despite their public profiles, JT made it clear she wants their engagement to remain private when the time comes.

“I kind of don’t want it to be on Instagram after, I don’t want my engagement to be announced on The Shade Room, I don’t want that energy. Oh my God, I would die,” she said. “This is not for y’all. I want it to be how Beyoncé did it, with a little video of it and the people see it years later. Let’s keep some things to ourselves.”

When it comes to the wedding itself, JT has a strong sense of what she does—and doesn’t—want.

“It cannot be ghetto,” she said. “It cannot be nobody with no ugly outfits. It can’t be nobody standing in the way with too many phones. It needs to be very elegant.”

JT and Lil Uzi Vert have been romantically involved since 2019.

Donald Trump Warns Jimmy Kimmel & Jimmy Fallon, Celebrates Destruction Of Late Night TV

Donald Trump came after Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon in a Truth Social post Tuesday (July 22), celebrating what he called the downfall of late-night television and predicting more exits to come.

“The word is, and it’s a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes and, shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone,” Trump wrote.

Trump didn’t hold back, calling Kimmel and Fallon “people with absolutely NO TALENT” who “were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television.”

Trump added, “It’s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!”

Trump’s remarks followed the announcement that CBS would end The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in May 2026.

While the network cited financial reasons, the timing raised eyebrows. Just days earlier, Colbert criticized CBS’s parent company, Paramount, for settling a lawsuit with Trump for $16 million.

Colbert addressed the cancellation on July 21 during his Monday night monologue, making it clear he planned to use his remaining time to criticize Trump without restraint.

“Now for the next 10 months, the gloves are off. I can finally speak unvarnished truth to power and say what I really think about Donald Trump, starting right now,” Colbert said. “I don’t care for him. Doesn’t have the skillset to be President. Just not a good fit.”

Trump had previously gloated about Colbert’s show ending, writing, “I absolutely love that Colbert got fired.”

Colbert fired back with sarcasm. “How dare you, sir? Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism?” he said before looking into the camera and stating, “Go f**k yourself.”

Outside the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York, about 100 people gathered before the taping to protest the show’s cancellation.

Tory Lanez Gives Chrisean Rock Spiritual Advice From His Cell

Tory Lanez offered spiritual advice and emotional support to Chrisean Rock during a phone call from prison as she continues navigating life after her own release from jail.

In a video posted to her Instagram Stories Tuesday night (July 22), Rock shared audio from the call where Lanez encouraged her to lean into her faith and disconnect from outside noise.

“I’m not one of them going n##### who’s going to sit here and preach to you,” Lanez told her. Rock responded, “Nah, bro. I appreciate it, Tory. This mean a lot, bro.” Lanez replied, “I know. I be seeing what’s going on.”

He continued with a message of reassurance and reflection. “You dealing with a lot, but it’s all going to be okay,” he said. “And it’s all going to be for the greater good, bro. But you just you just got to take that time and be intimate with him, bro. He wants you to actually spend some time with him. Spend some time in prayer away from people. Spend some time where you’re not worrying about what everybody’s talking about. Turn off the phone, spend a couple hours with him just for the next couple of days.”

Rock, who has been vocal about her renewed spiritual focus since leaving jail, captioned the video, “Thank You God for the words of encouragement.” She added, “I love you Tory. FREE YOU HE INNOCENT [100 emoji].”

Rock was released in early September 2024 after serving roughly three months at the Craig County Detention Center in Vinita, Oklahoma.

Her arrest in June 2024 stemmed from felony drug charges and a parole violation tied to a 2022 case. She faced allegations of possessing a controlled substance with intent to distribute and failing to have a tax stamp on the drugs.

If convicted, she could have received up to eight years behind bars.

Lanez, meanwhile, is serving a 10-year sentence after being convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

Tyler, The Creator Explains New Album & What He Wants From Fans

Tyler, the Creator announced Don’t Tap the Glass mere days ago and now it is here. The Grammy Award-winning creative has done it again, guys. Tyler was vague about what this album was and he seemed to imply that it wasn’t like anything he’s done in the past.

Now we know what it is—a dance album. There are a lot of House vibes mixed with rap. I’m not mad at this. We know that Tyler is a genre-bender. He took time to explain himself and what he wants to accomplish with this project. (If you see “typos,” that’s because his statement is unedited.)

I ASKED SOME FRIENDS WHY THEY DONT DANCE IN PUBLIC AND SOME SAID BECAUSE OF THE FEAR OF BEING FILMED. I THOUGHT DAMN, A NATURAL FORM OF EXPRESSION AND A CERTAIN CONECTION THEY HAVE WITH MUSIC IS NOW A GHOST. IT MADE ME WONDER HOW MUCH OF OUR HUMAN SPIRIT GOT KILLED BECAUSE OF THE FEAR OF BEING A MEME, ALL FOR HAVING A GOOD TIME, I JUST GOT BACK FROM A ‘LISTENING PARTY’ FOR THIS ALBUM AND MAN WAS IT ONE OF THE GREATEST NITES OF MY LIFE. 300 PEOPLE.
NO PHONES ALLOWED. NO CAMERAS, JUST SPEAKERS AND A SWEATBOX.
EVERYONE WAS DANCING. MOVING, EXPRESSING, SWEATING. IT WAS TRULY BEAUTIFUL. I PLAYED THE ALBUM FRONT TO BACK TWICE, IT FELT LIKE THAT PENT UP ENERGY FINALLY GOT RELEASED AND WE CRAVED THE IDEA OF LETTING MORE OF IT OUT THERE WAS A FREEDOM THAT FILLED THE ROOM, A BALL OF ENERGY THAT MIGHT NOT TRANSLATE TO EVERY SPEAKER THAT PLAYS THIS ALBUM BUT MAN DID THAT ROOM NAIL IT. THIS ALBUM WAS NOT MADE FOR SITTING STILL. DANCING DRIVING RUNNING ANY TYPE OF MOVEMENT IS RECOMMENDED TO MAYBE UNDERSTAND THE SPIRIT OF IT. ONLY AT AT FULL VOLUME

– Tyler

Tyler has longevity because he pulls elements from different genres but makes it his. You can’t box this dude in, much like Pharrell. He has a very unique sound and loves music. What’s interesting is Don’t Tap the Glass supposedly has no theme or concept. We’ll be talking about it, but the consensus is there’s a theme.

Don’t Tap The Glass is not CHROMAKOPIA. And that is a good thing!

The album rollout might feel familiar to last year’s CHROMAKOPIA.  That project also hit on a Monday morning, but Tyler’s said previously this release stands in contrast to the cinematic vibes of that project. The visuals for Don’t Tap the Glass seems to be a nod to legends like LL COOL J, Ludacris and 50 Cent. These hints of gritty lyricism isn’t what the project is. At least that’s what I think for now. Clipse show up in the video below.

Now we can also confirm that the rumored guest list is totally fake.

There’s no Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Earl Sweatshirt, BADBADNOTGOOD or Lola Young. Anyway, listen below or on YouTube.

“Cosby Show” Star Malcom-Jamal Warner Dead At 54

Malcom-Jamal Warner has died at age 54 following what sources say was an accidental drowning. According to a report from PEOPLE on Monday (July 21), Warner was on a family vacation in Costa Rica and drowned while swimming.

The actor, best known for playing Theo Huxtable on the hit NBC sitcom The Cosby Show across all eight seasons, was reportedly found unresponsive, though no official cause of death has been confirmed by authorities.

Warner rose to fame in the 1980s as the youngest son of Cliff and Clair Huxtable, a role that earned him an Emmy nomination and made him a household name.

“I know I can speak for all the cast when I say The Cosby Show is something that we are all still very proud of,” Warner once told PEOPLE of the show. “We share a unique experience that keeps us lovingly bonded no matter how much time goes between seeing or hearing from each other.”

Warner acknowledged how the show’s legacy had changed given the allegations made against Cosby, who was convicted of sexual assault in 2018 but later had the charge overturned in 2021,

“Regardless of how some people may feel about the show now, I’m still proud of the legacy and having been a part of such an iconic show that had such a profound impact on — first and foremost, Black culture — but also American culture,” Warner added.

In his late teens, Warner began directing music videos for acts like New Edition and Special Ed and went on to direct episodes of The Cosby Show, All That and Kenan & Kel. He later co-starred in the UPN comedy Malcolm & Eddie and lent his voice to the animated series The Magic School Bus, where he played the character of the classmate Tim.

In addition to acting, Warner built a respected career in music and spoken word. He won a Grammy Award in 2015 for Best Traditional R&B Performance for his work on Robert Glasper’s Jesus Children alongside Lalah Hathaway. Warner also directed several television episodes and short films over the years, showcasing his range behind the camera.

Most recently, Warner had been hosting a podcast titled “Not All Hood,” which explored themes of identity, culture and personal growth. The most recent episode was released just three days prior to his death. Warner was known for keeping his personal life out of the spotlight. He’s survived by his wife and daughter, whose names he never publicly disclosed.

50 Cent & Dave Blunts Roast Each Other Over Respective Weight Loss Journeys

50 Cent ignited a weekend war of words with Dave Blunt on Instagram while also launching a $1 million lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins over alleged contract violations tied to tell-all content.

The rap mogul stirred controversy after posting a photo of Blunts with the caption, “Ye this ya manz? If I catch him im pushing down the stairs,” referencing Blunts’ connection to Kanye West. Blunts didn’t hold back, retaliating with a photo of 50 from his 2011 film, All Things Fall Apart, where he portrayed a college athlete battling a terminal illness.

“I been going to the gym and been locked in on my health journey the world is watching me lose weight,” Blunts wrote in the caption. “But you lost all that weight for that weak ass movie and nobody watched that s###.”

The back-and-forth quickly made its way to Instagram, where reactions ranged from disapproval to amusement. “Thats foul on 50s part that big ass n#### prolly grew up loving 50 cent,” one user commented. Another joked, “Stairs is diabolical bro can’t stand on one he gon break it.”

While the online spat grabbed attention, 50 Cent—real name Curtis Jackson—was also making headlines for legal reasons. According to court filings obtained by AllHipHop, his publishing company, G-Unit Books, is suing Tompkins for allegedly breaching a 2007 agreement by promoting and discussing their past relationship in recent interviews.

“Capitalizing on her recent notoriety from a ‘viral’ post commenting on testimony in the high-profile ‘Diddy’ trial, Tompkins has repeatedly and deliberately exploited the very rights she conveyed to G-Unit Books,” the complaint states.

The lawsuit seeks to halt the distribution of the content and demands $1 million in damages. Tompkins has appeared in multiple interviews in recent months, where she accused 50 Cent of abuse during her pregnancy and throughout their relationship in the 1990s.

The legal filing was submitted earlier this month.

Lil Wayne’s Looks Causes Concern From Fans

People are really concerned. Over the weekend, Lil Wayne was supposed to walk a UFC fighter to the octagon, basically do a quick performance during the entrance. But that didn’t happen. Why it didn’t happen still remains a mystery. Folks quickly shifted their attention to something else entirely.

READ ALSO: Lil Wayne Was Supposed To Walk Dustin Poirier Out At UFC 318… But Never Did

Lil Wayne’s physical appearance became the main focus. The Young Money king seemed to be carrying some noticeable weight. I’m not sure what else to say about his demeanor, but he just seemed a little off. And you know, we’ve watched Wayne evolve through the years. Some of us have been frustrated by his journey, while others have stayed loyal fans. One thing’s for sure: he’s been consistently dope that whole time—unless you hated this last album. Again, another story.

Now here’s where things get a little tricky.

Lil Wayne has lived the life of a rockstar for most of his life. At 42, maybe some of those years are finally showing up physically. Or maybe not living that wild lifestyle anymore is what’s having an effect. Honestly, I don’t know. I’m not here to throw stones about what he has or hasn’t done, but let’s keep it a bean. He’s openly promoted a lifestyle that includes habits like sipping lean. And if you know what lean is, you know there’s nothing good that comes from it.

Hopefully he’s in good health and just packing on some extra weight like many OGs do. From lean…not so lean and it’s still hopefully all good.

We still don’t know why he didn’t perform at the UFC event, but maybe that was for the best. In today’s viral world, it could’ve easily turned into a bad look. I’m sure the performance would’ve been cool, but all it takes is one little clip for people to overanalyze it into oblivion—and that’s exactly what happened.
